Midweek Thread 17th February 2021

The BBC has decided that the mental health of young people is in jeopardy – if they are exposed to the sort of stuff the Far Left Biased BBC puts out is it any surprise ? The constant negativity about the collective plight of our country can’t be any help in reducing the stress of staying indoors . Further – where is the humour ? Where is the fun ? Repeated (green) stories of the End of The World targeted at the Young just won’t help.

any way – for believers -today is the beginning of Lent and Hope .

whereas other people on the same plane had also come in from other parts of the world and they were allowed to walk out out of Heathrow no problem.
“Anthony Pium, 30, from Leyton, East London, was involved in an angry confrontation with security guards as he tried to force his way out of the Radisson Blu Edwardian hotel ‘to get some fresh air’.”

“They’re trying to serve me processed food which I don’t eat. ”
‘Somebody cut up a chicken tikka salad which did not look like a chicken tikka salad and I refused to eat it. I am on hunger strike. I won’t touch any of the food they give me. They have to let me out of here.

      That’s about a 10 page article

Mohammed Mostafa, 42, from East London, who has high blood pressure and diabetes, said he needed a paramedic on Monday night after being bussed over to the hotel from Heathrow.

He flew from Bangladesh via Dubai and Frankfurt and said: ‘This is a horror story. Now I’m here it feels like a prison. They are treating us like animals – I had to fight so hard to get a breath of fresh air outside.’

Before anybody asks me why i was watching it. I was in
the kitchen washing and drying my springer spaniel Mimi
after a walk in the mud. The television was on and in
background I could hear this news reader on the
BBC interviewing a number of royal correspondents about
the Queen, all but sacking Harry + Meghan from the Royal
family . Anyway so far as royal duties were concerned.
The reporters were nearly 100% understanding to the
Queens predicament. For a start her 99year old husband is in hospital , and we don’t know how sick he is. And the now, two
ex royals were selling their souls to all comers.
BUT our news presenter was not having it. Us indigenous
WHITE racist Anglo Saxons were responsible for Meghan
and Harry leaving our shores and going to humble surroundings
in the USA to live an ordinary life. Whatever her guests
suggested, the BBC news presenter kept on coming down on
the side of the poor couple. Even suggesting that the Queens
actions could put our monarchy into doubt. However it’s
very naive of me to think that the BBC would not think in
this manner. You see the presenter, told us . And I will
reiterate . The white Anglo Saxons could not tolerate
    “inclusiveness” in the royal family.

It’s meaningless unless their ‘Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ titles are removed. As long as she can call herself Duchess, that’s her Meganbucks ticket.

From a woman’s point of view, then honestly ? would Meghan really have picked Harry if he had been a runner on her film set, or the bloke who drove a van delivery flowers ? Of course not. He’s not the sharpest tool in the box, and he is certainly down the list where looks are concerned (almost looking like an old man from the rear).
Nope, she’s got the title which has opened doors for her, and once the millions are in the bank, her kids have their future secured, then watch the cracks start to appear.

Wilfried Zaha the great black Crystal Palace player has
said it is degrading taking the knee. I am amazed that the
BBC have not cancelled him, instead of printing his
views on the subjugation. Of course the converse of
this is that after a long winning run Brentford stopped
the anarchist Marxist BLM signature tune , and have
lost two matches on the trot!

    Well, I watched it (QT)
To save you the time here’s what went on.

First questions on covid. Briefly, lockdown should end when nobody ever dies of anything. All these new variants and one of them might be dangerous so to be on the safe side keep locked down. The vaccines might not work but lockdown does.

Then, free speech in schools and yooni’s
The predominantly left ‘specially chosen audience’ and panel all felt any action on this wasn’t needed. They saw no problem which shows they support the left closing down anything they don’t agree with.

The last question was poo poo’d by all, being about Harry and Meg as nobody was interested.

The Labour child politician saw everything as racist and spent the rest of her time virtue signalling and blaming everything on the Tories.

Fiona actually didn’t interrupt the Tory on the show as much as she usually interrupts any non lefty.

The ‘audience’ clapping when the education mp (Williamson) kept being bad mouthed.

On a positive note, no snp politicians whingeing away on this show.

A number of agencies are reporting that Sunak will be announcing an extension of the furlough scheme well into the summer as part of his budget next week.

This is being done to align with the outgoing PM (Doris) and his (not unlocking) lockdown speech on Monday.

It appears Johnson, HandCock and the cabal of leftish scientist wish to keep the public under house arrest and enforce restrictions for a lot longer yet. I hope the 70 MPs who wrote a strongly worded letter last week will be making more noise shortly, but I doubt it from the cowardly useless incompetent tories.

Doesn’t happen often – but a cut and paste from the Guardian ….
Seems like the BBC is on the receiving end after forgetting that the religion of peace gets ‘special treatment ‘ and not the standard bullying interview style so loved of beeboid s..

    STARTS
The director general of the BBC, Tim Davie, has endorsed a statement from Woman’s Hour that says the programme will “reflect” on concerns raised by an Emma Barnett interview with Zara Mohammed, the first woman to lead the Muslim Council of Britain.

This week 200 people, including more than 100 public figures such as the Tory peer Sayeeda Warsi, the Labour MPs Diane Abbott and Naz Shah, and the comedian Deborah Frances-White, signed an open letter to the BBC criticising the “strikingly hostile” interview with Mohammed on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

The letter, organised by the writers Yassmin Abdel-Magied and Mariam Khan, called on the BBC to diversify its editorial and production team and better engage with Britain’s Muslims. It claimed that the line of questioning in Mohammed’s interview reinforced “damaging and prejudicial tropes” about Islam and Muslim women.

In response to the letter, Davie said: “As an employer and a broadcaster paid for by the public, we have a duty to reflect the whole of the UK in our staff and within our programmes.”

He added: “You are correct, across the BBC, representation of Muslims within our staff is lower than the national average but it is not as low as you suggest.” Just over 2.5% of the BBC workforce had identified as Muslim, he said: “I want to assure you that improving the representation of our staff is a key priority for me and my executive team. We have more work to do but we are determined to get there.”

In response to his comments, Abdel-Magied and Khan said: “It is frustrating that the BBC is using statistics regarding Muslim employees for the whole of the corporation, as opposed to what we highlighted specifically at BBC Studios TV and radio production. This includes the production of Woman’s Hour. Muslim representation in this crucial area of programming is negligible and requires urgent addressing both at staff and leadership levels.

“It is also unfortunate that they have failed to engage with the specifics of our concerns over the content of the interview. However, we look forward to discussing these issues further and welcome a constructive conversation with both the director general and senior executives at the BBC about these important issues.”

They point to the BBC’s annual report that has an asterisk for its proportion of staff in BBC Studios (TV and radio production) who identify as Muslim because the figure is below sample size.

Davie’s response to their open letter included a statement by Woman’s Hour, which said: “While we appreciate that people can sometimes have very differing responses to our live interviews and discussions, we believe it was legitimate for the programme to seek to explore some of the issues facing Muslims in the UK.”

The statement added: “Woman’s Hour, however, has always been a programme that listens to feedback and learns from the responses we receive; we will reflect on the issues and concerns you raise in this open letter.”

Davie said he agreed with the response and invited the organisersof the open letter to meet senior colleagues at the BBC to talk about the points they had raised.ENDS
