I’m 100% certain the result of the vote would have been exactly the same if they had held it 5 minutes after starting the impeachment.
It had nothing whatsoever to do with what happened and everything to do with trying to get rid of Trump.
A travesty of democracy and a complete farce. The USA has shown itself to be every bit as corrupt as a third-world developing country. Are we really supposed to believe that every single Democrat voted with their conscience yet not a single one voted against conviction ?.
Pelosi and her dirty cohorts have caused very serious damage to their country. It is split right down the middle like never before.
As Trump says, I have a feeling this is just the beginning. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an assasination attempt next.
John, it’s been a bit silly to say the least, all this stuff by ‘Flossie’, Pelosi, because they had to take four days off from getting The Precedent of the Untried Szates, Joella Harriden, to try and sign a few more forms, like they did within a few minutes of getting into the Ovoid Orifice!
The Grauniad/BBC can now spend the rest of today, weeping into its collective latte, and working out what I’ve just said…
(I’ve been working on this post since 3.30am, and feel that I’ve done enough for now, but if you want to add anything, please feel free to do so! And have a nice Valentines Day; we’re having lamb cutlets and a bottle of South African Chardonnay)!
Asamatterafac, listening to R5Live earlier today, the first ‘caller’ was some bloke from Norwich, who’s always on almost daily, droning onabout this and that, and I’ve noticed that they usually have the same people on time and time again! Blimey, they even had the same bloke from Torquay on twice in ten minutes!
It’s all pretty poor, but most local radio is like that these days!
I have noticed, however, that the autocue-news readers don’t intersperse each bit of ‘news’ with huge gasping intakes of breath, which is a common fault when nervous and inexperienced.
Someone has got the message, and you heard it here first!
Brentford have decided to stop the knee bending subjugation
before matches. So don’t expect to see or hear anything
about them unless in a derogatory manner on the BBC,
the media partners of the BLM organization . I wrote
a couple of days that one of their Marxist anarchist BLM
leaders in the USA Marc Lamont Hill had spoken at a conference about how the state of Israel having no right to exist. Which I am sure the BBC would not agree
with, would they?
On Toady on Sunday they announce an article to come about a man who cycled from Oregon to Patagonia.
My ears prick up as I know the West Coast a little. It could be interesting.
The feature duly arrives. But wouldn’t you know it. Twenty seconds in, it turns out the guy is gay. Another amazing BBC co-incidence. And the feature is not about his travels at all but about his gayness.
Only on the BBC. Insidious. Pernicious. Duplicitous. And agenda driven.
In other words, a normal day at the office for them.
Sluff… you’re so cynical. Everybody knows that for thousands of years, homosexuals were not permitted to cycle. Ditto wimmin’ and BAME people. The BBC is simply lifting the lid on what has been a taboo subject, and one that President Biden will be addressing shortly after he finishes his daily walk on water.
Next on the BBC: Trans and Crossbars – the Big Debate.
Tell us what you want, what you really really want…?
We see too many survey statistics in our media, usually the result of loaded questions asked for the sake of furthering a campaign toward an agenda. The result of the survey already pre-planned and designed into the form of question. The bold statistic ready-packed for the lazy journo to cut and paste into a headline.
Don’t talk to me about statistics. Adding population percentage covid deaths to air polution deaths to sugar-related diabetes deaths to poverty deaths to tobacco deaths to summer climate change deaths to road traffic deaths to alcohol deaths… I’m getting a rough figure of about 180% of UK deaths being presumably preventable if only we would… etc etc.
And that has excluded knife crime deaths.
At this rate if I stick to all the public health rules – and avoid a promising fledgling career in football or grime music – I reckon I’ve got an 80% chance of living forever. You’re more than welcome to check my calculations as I might have erred somewhere. Well, it’s either my maths or the stats might be suspect?
So we survey the hell out of our benighted land.
For example, when an arts festival equires of me would I prefer remote virtual performances, in theatre mask-wearing, 20-yard separated seating, pre-entry temperature testing, or goodness only knows what other PPE hazmat suit zorbing plastic sphere get-up/vaccination passport forehead tattoo micro chip in the anal swabbed PCaRse test… whatever…
I can clearly discern my participation by acquiescence to one of these options will be used to argue that this is what I want, when what I really really want is normal unconditional reopening. By the way, just as an overwhelming proportion of the arts extablishment voted Remain and, moreover, were audibly pained to see half the country vote leave, so the institutions which are the preserve of those we affectionately term luvvies, are uniformly supportive of lockdown policy. Have you noticed this? The small independent shopkeeper may bravely soldier on fighting for his or her livelihood but oddly enough the supposedly free-thinking, open to new ideas, boundary-pushing, lefty-minded arts institutions are more than happy to sit back in the shelter of furloughing State subsidies whilst begging further public donations on the back of their audience surveys.
That was your thought for the day: ’49pc Proportion of Britons who believe they are less free to speak their mind than they were five years ago, according to a poll’ (Telegraph) – well, at the risk of negating every point I made in my preable here’s a worrying survey result. How can our media chastise Putin’s Russia for its curtailment of civil liberties if half of Britons fear to speak up. The five year span is an interesting one. 2016, hmmmm…? Culturally this has been the era of the Brexit vote backlash. When our cultural, corporate and institutional establishments came together to demonise the persons and the spirit of the Brexit vote. Much of the repression is now focused on and around the BLM tendency.
Jan Horrocks in the Telegraph: ‘Ab Fab would never work now’
The 56-year-old actress played Edina Monsoon’s ditsy personal assistant Bubble in the hit BBC sitcom which ran for five series between 1992 and 2012, and was written by and starring Jennifer Saunders, with Joanna Lumley as her hedonistic best friend Patsy Stone.
Horrocks told The Sun: “When Jennifer started writing Ab Fab, in the first few series nobody bothered her at all. She had free rein to write what she wanted and there were no producers who interfered with her work.“
Rather recently then, it seems according to Horrocks, the BBC didn’t say, ‘You can’t write that’, or, ‘You have to write that’.
‘I think that she personally would have a very different experience writing for today’s television because I don’t think she would be allowed free rein. “I think Jennifer might struggle with the restrictions she would have to adhere to”
Storylines included Patsy having briefly lived life as a transgender man after undergoing a sex change operation in Morocco, Edina adopting a Romanian baby on a whim and her being delighted at having a mixed race grandchild because she saw it as a fashion accessory. The comedy also made a running joke of Patsy’s drug and alcohol addiction.
Horrocks’ character Bubble was a parody of a vacuous PA and the actress admitted to the Sun she may these days be cut out for being a stereotype.
“At this rate if I stick to all the public health rules – and avoid a promising fledgling career in football or grime music – I reckon I’ve got an 80% chance of living forever. You’re more than welcome to check my calculations as I might have erred somewhere. Well, it’s either my maths or the stats might be suspect?”
Beeboids are very keen on living forever. After all, the BBC as an employer is where you are not asked to retire at a fixed age and can go on working and earning and becoming ever richer, à la Humphrys, until you decide to stop. In addition, you can sit at a keyboard for half an hour or an hour every week and earn some more pocket money writing for a newspaper or a Waitrose giveaway.
There was an article on the Beeb web-site, during Lockdown 2a, with some youngster stretching in his daily workout who was wanting to live to 130 years of age. He reckoned that was possible with a careful diet. Kinda unfortunate that it might be the NHS ‘wot kills ‘im’ before that target is reached.
I wish I could remember the specifics, but I was reading something at the time when, on the 07:00 news this morning on Radio 4, some Beeboid reported on a survey. He read out one of the results of the survey, which was a long and quite complex response from the survey responders, and apparently had a very high percentage of the responses.
At the time, I remember thinking to myself that this just could not have been an open and clear question – it would have been impossible to get the same long and complex response from such a high percentage of those questioned. So, it had to have either been some kind of interpretation of the answers by those conducting the surveys – which would immediately have ruled out the validity of the survey – or it had to have been one of a series of multiple choice questions – which smacked of leading the survey respondents to a desired answer.
Strangely – when you hear reports of these surveys, they never publicise the question to which the response is attributed…. I wonder why.
Cuomo was the ‘poster boy ‘ of the BBC in the first lock down. He was given extensive coverage mainly because of his Anti Trump rhetoric. As always the BBC will ignore anything that goes against their ‘message’.
“ Question ? Did anyone else happen to catch the delicious moment when at approximately 12.15 a BBC news reader, was nterviewing a gentleman live from Atlanta concerning the impeachment and the constitution . I landed on it accidentally and it was glorious. The American was explaining US law when the BBC bully didn’t just speak over him, he shouted, , because the American gentleman wouldn’t agree with him. I quote,
“We at the BBC are here to correct you. I am here to correct you !”
I lie not !
The American chap was as incredulous as I and said, “so you don’t need to hear me, you are obviously an expert on the American constitution, why am I AN EXPERT here ?
It was some of the most disgusting behaviour I have seen to date live on air. If anyone can find it on you tube it needs to go viral.
Remember
“We are the BBC, we are here to correct you !’”

So requires verification. Or, better yet, a clip.
I’m down a rabbit hole searching
– It was on Twitter by 1 person so it was midnight 15 but they gave no detail ..oh another FB post in the private DefundTheBBC Facebook group says that they heard it at 12:15
It has to be on BBCnews Channel
No one in that thread specifies the prog
One person says the presenter was “Alan Ridley”.. Anyone heard of him ? … The internet hasn’t
There is no info on the schedule page
– For some reason hardly any of the channel’s Saturday coverage has been uploaded to Iplayer
I guess cos that didn’t happen that is why the transcripts aren’t yet available in the archive tool either.
@BBCNews Absolutely appalling behaviour by the BBC host of an invited Republican guest. He won't allow him to speak & actually telling him that he decides what will be said, when he will interrupt. While I tweet this a following Democrat guest is allowed unlimited speech.
Guest who – and Our great sister website – thank you for the transcript . It show the problem the BBC regularly creates for itself .
It does not “hold the ring “ – it engages in an adversarial approach and therefore shows its Democrat – anti trump bias .
This bbc droid took it to the extreme and he’d maybe get in ‘trouble ‘ for showing out so much if many people were watching …
It clearly shows that the BBC is still going after president trump in the run up to 2022 – which could be the decider for him running again .
Most thanks to the mighty Craig and his stenographic skills!
Actually a transcript is even better, but one day it would be interesting to hear the tonality as the way it played in my head was not looking good for the Beeboid.
Like a cross between ‘A Few Good Men’ denouement scene and Herr Flick in Allo, Allo.
Oh Truly Tango beat me
I found the video and added it at Craig’s
The beeboid James ..Reeynolds is so confident he put tweeted it himself video with Seath Weathers tweet
Anyone looking at this site – whether you contribute or not – should watch that clip and see for yourself what the BBC has become .
The sad thing is – that presenter probably doesn’t realise what he is now – certainly not a journo. And I thought his victim dealt with the mistreatment with great grace . I’d have lost it ….
Priceless.
The guy states that the purpose of impeachment is quite clearly stated to be the removal of a sitting President and the BBC guy falls back on ‘The senate voted to allow it’ in his constant interruption.
The REAL problem here is that the senate voted to allow it. This is corrupt third-world country stuff. Democracy has peaked in the West and we are now on the steep downslope which leads to globalist dictatorship for the benefit of the big players.
The stuff of fiction 50 years ago. Frighteningly possible now.
@TT as you see when you post Youtube links on the same line ..it appears as a link
But when you do it on a clean line they autoembed

Rustling has become endemic all over the UK. A steep rise, particularly in sheep, the preferred meat of those following the religion of peace. I wonder if plod has made any connection. I seriously doubt it.
G
“.. the religion of peace.”
Thank you for reminding me.
I have recently changed Broadband supplier.
My previous IP prevented access to “The Religion of Peace” website; well that is what IPs are for, to help Google tailor information for the Mass Murdering Commies.
So, prompted by your post, I tried to get the latest news on another long term group of Mass Murderers and – success.
No, I did not get access to “The Religion of Peace” website, but there was a “sorry” in the excuses.
I would put my mortgage on the likelihood that not a single viewer heard that warning and thought: “Oh, I’m glad they gave me a heads up. I’ll switch over to The Voice.” This is just a case of the BBC indulging the unrepresentative wokerati.
He was a Brexit MEP and is now a journalist for the online site, Unheard. They query the government about their response to covid, illegal immigration and are highly critical of the BBC.
I’m genuinely surprised that the not guilty verdict of a President in a political trial has fallen down the ‘importance ‘ list on both the BBC and news sites ….
….maybe the retrial will get more attention ….
……president trump has mentioned standing in 4 years time . Why bother ? It is fixed .
DJT will have to organise the 75 million in a virtually ‘military’ manner. He’ll start by getting the Rhino’s out – including the communist and his CCP wife, McConnell.
At least, now, he’s got an, ‘eyes wide open’ gathering dedicated to tackling the communists on their ground.
Just imagine the fanfare if he had been convicted.
They’ve shot their bolt now. This was the last desperate chance to remove him from the scene. It’s caused massive damage to the country and this is day zero for the countdown to payback.
G
I was believing that “race is only a social construct”.
Then they move the goalposts: good at that, the Commies, practice makes perfect.
What is the new mantra?
Do not tell me, let me guess.
“race is only a social construct, when it suits us”.
G
Mr Trump might need to run independently- and cause a vote split between the Democrats and Republicans – thus winning the popular vote but losing the election because of fixed voting numbers .
However the false president is likely to be dead by then and the coloured girl or hilary will be in the frame.
This – of course – is also subject to the size of any coming war …
JohnC, I think that is very sad. The hatred that Clinton and Pelosi feel for Donald Trump and the Republicans will be eating them inside. It will be distorting everything they think, feel and do.
G
I was thinking along the lines of a civil war in some 3rd world crap hole where TV dictates that westerners send 18 year olds to get killed …. but the next shooting war is bound to be a ‘black swan ‘ job no one foresaw …
… the woke head of the UK military was musing about the instability being created because of the Chinese virus …..
Fortunately for Blighty our peace keeping community – previously known as the armed forces – will be too small to bother with …
There’s a ghastly snobbery about those who choose to air their views in the Observer – or more properly Sunday Guardian – as if what they have to say is of such immense value that only the tiny minority that actually read the liberati’s provisional wing are sufficiently wise and worthy to appreciate their knowledge and literacy.
Thus we have Professor (yes, another one) Sarah Gilbert, the virologist who headed the team at Oxford A-Z, now criticising the UK pandemic plan.
Despite its immense success, despite its world and especially EU dominance, despite the forward thinking, purchasing and stocking that enabled this pre-eminence and despite the superb logistical achievement in the execution of the program, our noble prof tells us the UK failed to respond to warnings about new viral variations, took too long to recognise air dispersal (an extraordinary claim in light of the phrase ‘coughs and sneezes spread diseases’ which I learned at Primary school yet seems to have missed her attention) and too slow to set up the Oxford vaccine manufacturing centre.
Quite a catalogue of failures, though she might perhaps have included the Wuhan Viral Research Centre for not releasing larger quantities world-wide, instead of initially concentrating on Europe.
BBC1 The Big Questions, just started, has the lefties favourite racist Kehinde Andrews. He is currently talking a load of rubbish about how the UK economy is racist.
T
“the lefties favourite racist Kehinde Andrews”
“favourite”?
The BBC has six US billion other” favourites” in contention.
Andrews does have several more chips on his shoulder than the norm, which is 37, it’s always an odd number, which accounts for them being unbalanced.
This wasn’t the same Mr Cuomo who got some kind of ‘Emmy’ award for his ‘leadership’ in the Covid crisis….
That one, eh ?
And the luvvies who lauded his behaviour are, of course, ignoring the latest reports that he and his knuckle-dragger cohorts hid data about his actions and their impacts, beecause thet knew that Mr Trump would react to any real figures released which showed he was a granny ‘murderer’ – a word so loved by the left wing when referring to the GOP government, and Mr Trump inm particular.
A video went viral recently in Thailand of an elderly Thai man being punched to the floor and killed by a black man in California. He just ran across the road and laid him out with one punch. The comments said this was just one in a series of attacks by racist blacks in the area.
Yet violence and racism by blacks seems to be a topic which must never be mentioned by gross hypocrites like The Guardian and the BBC.
I am still perplexed why they protect them so much. They have built a whole arsenal of weapons against the Right using these gullible idiots and I suspect they feel they must keep their powder dry.
Wow! @calvinrobinson smashing it on @bbcsml. It suits some to convince minority groups they’re victims. That society at large is against them. The evidence suggests that the UK is the opposite of the image of an intolerant, racist backwater painted by those seeking to divide us.
“ Good old Andrew (leftist) Marr, he’s managed to turn the good news that the UK has reached 15million vaccinations into a negative. He said that Isreal were ahead of the UK in delivering their vaccine programme, well guess what Mr Marr, Israel is 9.0% the size of United Kingdom. What a pathetic comparison, then again the BBC will grasp at anything they can to criticise the UK’s plight in handling the virus.”
If only to see Jeremy Bowen with the Gaza Boot Boys heading round to take him out.
I think what he is actually saying is basically Drugs like cocaine are fine and dandy but we must find a way of making them in a more environmentally friendly way.
I find this very revealing of the mindset of the average London Metro Libs…
Ian obviously goes to some very interesting parties probably along with loads of other Media folk having a good time!
He doesn’t have much to say about all the people found dead with knife wounds or all the teenagers queuing up at the local drug dens, we had the police bust 3 of these in our street alone last month.
Some leggy blonde BBC ‘talent’ called Amanda Holden races across the south of the UK in a 500 mile ‘urgent’ round trip to see her parents in Cornwall (co-inciding with her birthday, it seems)….. breaking travel rules, but not Covid rules, she and her agents hasten to inform us ??????
So the BBC, and all the rest of the MSM in the UK rip into her and her family, and do an all-out ‘Cummings-type hairdryer/chainsaw job’ on her, her family, and her transgressions – for days on end.
Only kidding….. “nothing to see here, move on everybody, BBC ‘talent’ just doing what she thinks is necessary for her family members..”
Not only ‘leggy’, she’s got du monde au balcon as well.
Although it’s anybody’s guess as to whether the balcony is of the variety or the operating theatre!
St. Valentine, a saint in the Christian tradition, has now had his day sanitised by the BBC, who have managed to find a pack of people to celebrate the day, mostly not white and most likely not Christian. Job done!
Quite why the article is loaded with Instagram links beats me.
I am looking forward to the BBC producing an article about ‘white van men’ celebrating Ramadan by seeing who can down the most bottles of India Pale Ale before sunrise.
Pandy Marr doing his usual attempt at ‘gotcha’ with Raab this morning.
Businessman (‘supposedly’) wonders whether in view of the regulations concerning his Far East (Chinese’) imports part distributed in the EU, should he transfer his business there given the paperwork since.
Totally fookin stupid question. If it’s not a large percentage of his business and only paperwork problems, have a small distribution centre there importing direct by all means, or live with it. If he has found, up till now, that he has been able to circumvent tariffs in some way by having the UK as an intermediate point, tough merde as only rules of origin would apply.
Either way, would you really expect Raab to provide you with tax advice on the hoof? No, it’s all part of Al Beeb’s habitual anti-Brexit offensive.
CBS gal ‘sure the prosecution don’t deny they DOCTORED evidence
but it was only for small things’
FFS that is huge news
You can’t show up to prosecute Trump with doctored evidence
In theatre that is US politics & the medias reporting
Michael van der Veen seems a genuine guy.
@AltNewsMedia tweets
What charges should the democrats who *doctored evidence* in the #Shampeachment trial face in your opinion?
From video tampering
to date changing
to adding verified status to non-verified accounts.
I think the doctoring was caught by Republicans before it was presented in the debate
but the fact the Dems turned up with them is bad.
It’s like the prosecutor bring a signed confession, and the defence lawyers spotting it , before it was presented in court.
A great performance from Mr van der Veen where he hits the nail squarely on the head. The look on that vapid airhead’s face is priceless as she realises he is not going to yield to her endless sniping encouraged, no doubt, by her director screaming in her earpiece to keep going.
There is some non-white chap trailing comic relief, is it that Romash chap ? because having never watched these unfunny comedians, then my belief to do so is justified after seeing him on this. Who the hell finds these idiots funny ?

5th February, nearly two weeks ago.
I, to my eternal shame, have only just discovered this, er, “event”.
No doubt here on BBBC there has been extreme excitement.
Everyone twittering, googleing, facebooking etc.
I have missed it all.
Well, not all, AlBeeb will be promoting it for ever.
But it will seem longer.

There’s a reply But @BBCNews still think he’s guilty.
To reinforce that “impartial” view they’ve been bringing on their programme a stream of Trump critics.
At one point I thought I had tuned into CNN by mistake. @BBCJonSopel
Raheem’s post-acquittal podcast (yesterday) is a useful summary for those of us who haven’t been following the impeachment closely. The role of the media is discussed from 29:30.
Maybe sanity is starting to return – no stupid kneeling at the start of the Eire France Rugby thing – and no comment about it either ( but it was on ITV) .
I wonder if advertisers realise that people don’t switch games on until the stuff at the beginning now is run through ?
There’s good news and then there’s undermining BBC news.
The government announce 15 million vaccinations.
Time for the BBC doom and gloom machine to whirr into action.
From the webshite
…….’efforts need to continue to reach out to those not yet vaccinated in these first groups.
There have been reports of housebound patients still waiting, while some have questioned whether enough has been done to reach out to those who have concerns and have not taken up the offer.
The fear is uptake may be lowest in some of the most vulnerable communities and that risks widening health inequalities……….
Those offered the jab account for around five in six deaths but just over half of hospitalisations.
That leaves a lot of vulnerable at risk……..’
The BBC.
World class at ‘cancelling’ good news that they don’t like.
Compare and contrast the above, Sluff, with the 24-hour adulation of the Labour First Minister of Wales, Mark Drakeford, and his merry men, when they hit an innoculation target just a couple of days ago….. and the absence of any negative reporting of the First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, when she and her Nationalist party screws up.
Sluff
That’s a good example of how to rule by fear. Subtle. So they hope we don’t realise that we are being got at. Sadly for Auntie the British people are a bit more sophisticated than she thinks.
Top restaurants are relying on takeaways and cook-at-home boxes to survive the Covid pandemic.

Really !!!@@## Why can’t you just make that ‘burger’ at home by yourself in 10 minutes ? Do you really need to pay obscene mega prices to pretentious restaurant ‘Psudeo Chefs’ for this, is it really a ‘Michelin Star’ product or just a pandemic opportunist rip off aimed at those who worship ridiculous branding? The consumers of this absolute crap are extremely lucky they have stable finances, to even consider the purchase, as thousands of other Human Beings around the World are suffering finacial deprivation, while the elite continue to indulge themselves as if nothing is happening. Question : What if the world pandemic situation gets much worse, will these spoilt overindulged individuals be able to survive……..not very good odds on that I think ! May God have mercy on all your souls.

I was joking earlier when I pondered if Marianna had donned her trench coat to check on derrings do that saw Jon go mental, again, but no, it seems they sent a Horton to find a ‘What now?’.
Guest, that is an increasing phenomenon of ‘the Left’ or ‘the Wrongists’: they don’t argue or debate the facts but they have ‘their beliefs’ and those ‘beliefs’ trump ‘your facts’ and ‘any evidence’ that is provided whether by opponents or neutrals.
It is STABO, but the quaint notion that there is now a new level of verification that you use to the exclusion of all else, and trust more than the last, produced by the same people, is laughably bonkers.

Plaid may say that but the people of Wales do not.
Plaid are completely out of touch with Wales.
In fact most of the people that I meet want to see the end of the Welsh Assembly . Its a bureaucrat waste of Welsh Tax payers money.
We are on one island and of one people. Neither Wales or Scotland could have developed the Covid Vaccine on their own. Even with the the vaccine, the Scots cannot dish the stuff out.
Plaid Cymru need to ask themselves the question , why did so many Welsh people vote for Brexit ?

There is a new story of how the NYT pursued a vicious smearing vendetta against famous blogger Scott Alexander doxxing him as really a top psychiatrist
Doing that because he was a righty, when their practice with lefty anonymous bloggers is to keep their names secret.
Scott Alexander has a long post explaining
and the crucial line is I don’t want to accuse the New York Times of lying about me, exactly,
but if they were truthful, it was in the same way as that famous movie review which describes the Wizard of Oz as

“Laura Kuenssberg got a bit huffy in an unguarded moment after she had asked her question at the press conference on Wednesday.
“But he didn’t answer the question,” she spluttered into her microphone.
No, he didn’t. Probably because he couldn’t. As one of my Twitter correspondents said: “How can a government faced with a virus that can easily mutate do other than say the future is uncertain. Get a grip, media!” Quite.”
Especially when the silly bint was gunning for Jimbo Reynolds glory at the gong shows.

Enough said.

Life expectancy can go down as well as up.

Very good point regarding surveys…

However the false president is likely to be dead by then and the coloured girl or hilary will be in the frame.

No bias there, then.

Top comment:

Trump impeachment: Fact-checking the Senate trial
Except that’s not what they’re doing. This is a quasi-legal court case. The facts are not in dispute. What they are ‘checking’ is legal opinion.
It’s a real problem when even the fact-checkers can’t tell the difference between fact and opinion. What chance does ‘reality’ have?”
Luckily all the BBC needs is ‘belief’.

Seems U-bend has the same issues the BBC has.
On occasion.

Anyone checked (see wot I did there?) on Wendy?
It is STABO, but the quaint notion that there is now a new level of verification that you use to the exclusion of all else, and trust more than the last, produced by the same people, is laughably bonkers.

“Welsh independence: More people in favour, Plaid say”

Plaid may say that but the people of Wales do not.
Plaid are completely out of touch with Wales.

2019 Elections – Plaid 4 Seats, Conservative 14 and Labour 22.
Yes, that’s the Tories with more than three times the number of Plaid MPs in Wales !

Quick…. over to BBC NA BS…
Jooooking! Actually, they have a word they like.
A bit of ‘compare and contrast’ ‘analysis’ by the squad, surely…
As retweeted by the head of the BBC desk there.
Imagine if such a clown was running, say… the Middle East?

New York Times is directed by ex Beeboid Mark Thompson
There is a new story of how the NYT pursued a vicious smearing vendetta against famous blogger Scott Alexander doxxing him as really a top psychiatrist
Doing that because he was a righty, when their practice with lefty anonymous bloggers is to keep their names secret.
Scott Alexander has a long post explaining
and the crucial line is
I don’t want to accuse the New York Times of lying about me, exactly,
but if they were truthful, it was in the same way as that famous movie review which describes the Wizard of Oz as
: “Transported to a surreal landscape, a young girl kills the first person she meets
and then teams up with three strangers to kill again.”

Thomson’s not on the board of the NYT anymore
They’ve got quite a stable of Durantys on the payroll though after his reign.
“Putrid” hardly does justice to most of their output.

I wonder if they’ve got any photos of Walter Duranty on walls in the offices? – is his Pulitzer given pride of place in the reception area or the boardroom?
