Midweek Thread 13 January 2021

Free Speech feels under greater threat than ever before . Non ‘approved ‘ thinking or comments can get an entire website removed from easy access . Some think this site is a target for such treatment . It would be good to get ideas from users how the work of the Biased BBC website could continue should enemies of free speech succeed .

Donald Trump and Joe Biden during the final TV debate

A number of senior figures within Donald Trump’s own party now say they’re prepared to support the plan to impeach him for a second time. Opposition Democrats are likely to push for a vote later to charge Mr Trump with inciting insurrection, specifically last week’s violent attack on Congress. His fellow Republicans are increasingly breaking ranks to join them, including Liz Cheney, daughter of former Vice-President Dick Cheney. She said Mr Trump had “summoned this mob, assembled the mob, lit the flame of this attack”.

Mr Trump is due to leave office anyway next week, so why bother trying to remove him before that, via the impeachment process? Well, if he is impeached, he would have a trial in the Senate to determine his guilt, and conviction would officially hold him accountable for what happened at the Capitol. So far he’s refused to accept any responsibility.

Secondly, if he’s convicted, Democrats could also hold a vote to block him from ever running for office again. The president has indicated he plans to campaign in 2024, and our North America reporter Anthony Zurcher says some Republicans may feel that bringing about a clean break with the Trump era now is the best thing for their political futures. Read more on the whole process.

A catering company accused of providing children from low-income families with inadequate food parcels has apologised. Footballer Marcus Rashford drew attention to a photo of a small food hamper sent out to children who would normally receive free school meals in England. Chartwells said it was “very sorry the quantity fell short”. Children’s minister Vicky Ford said caterers must urgently improve the quality of provision.

    Mental health discrimination

Black people are more than four times as likely to be detained – or sectioned – under the Mental Health Act relative to population. Now plans have been announced to overhaul the system with the aim of making it less discriminatory. Many of the recommendations focus on ensuring patients are seen as individuals and cultural differences are better understood. The reforms will also ensure autism or a learning disability cannot be a reason for detaining someone. Mental health charity Mind said the changes “cannot come soon enough”. Ashley and Raf shared their experiences of being detained under the act with the BBC.

BBC morning news in our area say that the Government are calling for more doctors to come forward in the vaccine efforts.

Silly me I always thought we paid our doctors well through taxes to do their job and help heal and protect the population. I never realised that actually working was optional.

I suppose this view is seen as old school, and we will see increasing pick and choose attitudes from our medical profession as increasingly their numbers are swelled by the younger self-entitled me-me generation.

It appears that doctors get £12.58 extra each time a covid vaccine is given in their practice. An additional £10 is paid if a care home resident or worker is vaccinated.

      https://www.bma.org.uk/advice-and-support/covid-19/vaccines/covid-19-vaccination-programme

I had a flu jab yesterday at the local GP and to be fair it was well managed. It took 5 minutes and was given by a nurse. So by analogy that would equate to over £150 per hour extra on top of normal pay and income per nurse.

Said nurse said they have just got through 2000 covid vaccinations in about four days. That’s an extra £25,000 income per week.

Nice to see our NHS heroes doing their bit for the country.j

    • Doublethinker says:

It is one of the great ironies of the NHS that GP’s and their practises are PRIVATE and are not NHS employees. This dates back to the formation of the NHS when it ‘founder’ Aneurin Bevan found that the GP refused to be nationalised and insisted on remaining private even though in most cases all of their patients are NHS and not private. Bevan said that he had to ‘stuff the doctors mouths with gold ‘ to get them to agree to the formation of the NHS. The gold stuffing business has continued ever since and the doctors union the BMA has exploited the national Achilles Heel of the NHS ruthlessly to ensure it has the highest paid members anywhere in Europe.
Consequently they insist on being extra for anything that isn’t run of the mill NHS work. Being private they can find many ways to supplement their already enormous salaries, pharmacies, clinics , flu jabs etc etc. They earn so much that many of them only need to work part time. My neighbour , who is in his fifties, works three days a week and rakes in a fortune and has volunteered to give a few extra hours of his time to administer the vaccine, at a cost of course! One of the great ironies is that if doctors were paid substantially less money we would have greater availability of doctors because they would have to work five day weeks rather than part time! I know this is true because GPs have told me so.

Fedup, re your intro to this thread. I can heartily recommend getting off google search and installing duckduckgogo on all devices. I did this yesterday on all my desktops, iPad and iPhone and it all works great with searches coming back with untampered results. Plus DDGG does NO tracking so you are not being spied on.

As for social, the lefties would have you believe that gab.com and Parler (offline at present) are dangerous right wing outfits. Don’t believe it, sure as with any truly open platform there will be some bad eggs but the dire warnings from google and Twitter etc are all part of the social engineering project they are trying to promote.

The only way to rein in these out of control Marxists is to starve their cash flow, if you don’t use them their pay per clicks slump.

Hi Roland, a couple of pointers there, 1. Gab is very overloaded right now so it may be an issue there but possibly your iPhone settings are allowing Apple to decide if a site is what they call “Safe”.

As it is now clear that Apple are in bed with Google and Twitter ideologically and spookily all my Apple devices had an update in the last 24 hours so don’t rule out censorship being installed on your iPhone by Apple!

The iPhone has a setting for fraud warnings so this might be activated. Of course Apple (Twitter) decide if a site is fraudulent!

Thank you – I’ve used Duck for quite a while but find it inferior to google . It is still my personal preference . The google search engine put this site back on page one last night and I’m monitoring that – when not having to engage in other site ‘matters ‘…..
….. as for contingencies for the continuation of the fight against the Far Left Biased BBC ( if this site was removed ) I’ve got an idea but I want to see if it is shared by other users ….
I’ve noticed that Parler is harder to get into and is ‘down ‘ a bit more than it was – however I am not a great enthusiast for social media because of the level of aggression – which until recently – has been absent from this site and one of the many reasons I stick with it .

Elsewhere today – the Daily Telegraph reports rationing of vaccine by region – the line about a GP in the cotswolds having run out of ‘over 70s ‘ to vaccinate sums things up .

It’s all very well targeting by age – but in high density London boroughs hard hit by covid perhaps the real priority to save lives is there ( where I live ) …. Redbridge – Barking – Newham – have the highest numbers in thr country …..

By the way I don’t live in any of these 3 hell holes thank god – but I am nearby and know them very well…

I still think the government needs to up its game on the roll out – tell us how much vaccine is being produced and delivered each day as well as numbers vaccinated each day – at a regional level .

For the personal sacrifices people are making to lock down this is the least we should expect – as well as a more professional daily briefing without the frankly poor ‘minister for strong statements – Priti Patel …

I agree that generally DDGG results are a bit more sparse that Google’s but I think the solution is to reserve DDGG to search for anything that Google might be tracking with bad intent.

So if you are searching for some 9mm bolts, use Google by all means but if you are searching for this site for instance use DDGG, at least that way Google are not able to track everything you input and monitor every key press and your use of this site etc.

‘Depression and anxiety rife among ICU medics’ (Guardian) – how do we know? They’ve been doing a survey of course. Another one, you ask, how do they find the time?

But fear not, during this present lockdown inducing surge in the mutant virus, as hospitals are overwhelmed, ‘709 doctors, nurses and other clinical roles across six NHS hospitals in England’ have not been wasting their time filling in forms. Certainly not.

This survey was done back in June 2020 ‘after the height of the first wave’ – one is inclined to comment if you don’t like the heat get out of the kitchen. But then one recalls that last June would have been about the time we first heard murmurs of how’s about NHS payrises all round…

‘Vaccine drive for UK failing to hit target’ complains the ‘i’

This is the problem with a nationalised health service – I don’t just mean the slovenly bureaucracy, the profiteering crony corporate contracts and the bolshie entitled staff – I mean that ministers will be seen as directly responsible for every failing.

Can the health minister really answer for Mrs Biggins of Huddersfield’s five month wait for her hip operation anymore than the trade and industry minister ought to answer for my five week wait for an Amazon delivery? There’s a lot to unpack there (when my metaphorical parcel does eventually arrive) so have a think about it.

Meanwhile, hate him or loath him, Boris can only do as much as the the unreformed NHS will allow: ‘Johnson clashed with NHS chiefs over accelerating vaccines rollout’ (FT)

So I think we can agree the NHS is in the Premier League of political footballs. A brave and ultimately sensible government would do well to kick it into touch.

Which leads us nicely on to matters Rashford. I hope you’ve all been contemplating the contents of the free school meals food parcel as pictured in several of this morning’s dailies?

‘Is this lunch for five days?’ asks the Guardian. How could it be, where’s the frittata? Apparently one mother estimated the contents to the value of £5.22 – with budgeting skills to that level of accuracy one wonders how come she can’t nurish her own offspring? But that’s not the question here.

‘Profit from poverty firms accused of taking cash to feed kids… and delivering paltry food parcels’ (Daily Mirror). The Labour-leaning tabloid puts in a lower bid of £3 to be value of the free school meal. That’s socialist economics for you. ‘Labour’s Angela Rayner said: “Into whose pockets is the money for free school meals going?”‘ – well quite. What I’d like to know is into whose pockets is an awful lot of our tax money going?

By the way: ‘Dodds to signal shift from Corbyn’s hard left agenda’ – so lumbers the FT’s cumbersome headline. But don’t expect Labourites to rein in the demands for ever more welfare any time soon.

Seems Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York (remember her, the ginger one?) has put pen to paper. Unlike most celeb wannabe authors this isn’t a kid’s book: ‘Duchess launches new career as a romantic novelist’ (‘i’) ‘Sylvie Krin’ quips the 65p newspaper of the year in allusion to a Private Eye gag old enough to be due a vaccination this week.

The Mirror turns up the temperature a little: ‘Fergie’s bodice ripping yarns’ – she probably knows her way around a fourposter, having been hitched to Randy Andy and as I recall put in a bit of topless toe-sucking in the past.

As luck would have it: ‘Queen’s cousin in sex assult at Royal castle’ (Daily Mail) this is Simon Bowes-Lyon said to be “a rude, mean, bad and horrible person” having groped a woman who rejected his advances in a ‘drink-fuelled assult’ at Glamis Castle – that’s not how the story is supposed to unfold (allegedly).

‘A hard Brexit’ explains the Daily Star: ‘Viagra sales up 40% as Brits get the EU willies. Fears of a hard Brexit led to a massive rise in Viagra sales…’

Anyone catch the R4 Toady Buisness interview earlier. I think it was around 06.25 but I was dozing still.

It involved the Buisness Beeboid (how many do they have?) and the CBI chair for NI.

She was pushed on shortages in shops in NI, the impact of deliveries because of post Brexit form filling and General incompetence that has led to a number of retailers apparently writing a stiffly worded letter to HMG.

In reply she answered fairly, did not blame Brexit, countered the shortages by saying there was just slightly less choice, but shelves were not empty. There will be some issues with form filling, it is taking time, but not unforeseen in the first weeks of Jan and the impacts were also down to the effects of covid in the supply chain.

It was a refreshing counter and reasoned arguments to the usual AntiBeeb bullshit and of course didn’t fit the narrative so quickly moved on.

      A – it’s not a race
B – if it was a map of deaths it would be different
      C – UK started earlier

      D – all of the above .

Some of the people on Twitter really should have a think about themselves – although thinking and reacting don’t seem to equate …

I tend to think of that map as PR
The vaccination rate across the whole of Europe including the UK is basically nothing.
At about 2.5 million the UK has given 3% one jab out of 2
So 97% left to do for first jabs alone

        Only Israel has notable levels.

One in five have said that they will not be volunteering to take a vaccine so their task will be made slightly easier. If they stick to asking the same individuals who are offered ‘Flu jabs, the task would be easier still and probably just as effective in limiting the effects of the virus.

It’s difficult if not impossible to measure or understand the total hatred, contempt and revulsion the US Communists have for > 80 million of the population. The tokenism of the current Impeachment of DJT is breath-taking even though we know it won’t work practically.

I can only imagine being one of the very unhappy 80 million who voted to clear the elite swamp and suffered overt fraud as a result. It appears there’s nothing, no action that can be taken to remedy the massive injustice. But, there’s two actions that ultimately remain:
The people directly challenge the elite or, the military instigate a coup. As the population develop more resentment, I guess the military will be under increasing pressure directly or indirectly to do something after all, all the laws and Constitution are being ignored and trashed by the day.
The abuse by the Communists cannot go on, surely.

In order to keep both my sanity and temper under control I never listen to Toady on Radio 4 these days. Haven’t done for years.
I’ve moved across to Talk Radio (the fastest growing radio station on the planet) as they like to constantly remind us. However, this morning there was an interview with Julia Hartley-Brewer and Ian Duncan Smith which rather chilled me…

For a bit of variety (ahem) they were discussing covid. Both have been sceptical as to the advantages of endless lockdowns and concerned for our economic future. Both were enthusiastic about the vaccines…so far so good…

It was when Julia asked Duncan Smith about the future that really froze me to the spot. He responded saying “Hopefully we’ll get back to some sort of normality…”

They weren’t chatting about the near future, this was about when we’re through these dark times. So, just what does he mean “some sort of normality.”?

Will we be expected to wear face masks ad-infinitum? Is social distancing here to stay? Can we expect plod to interview us if we’re sitting alone on a bench by the beach? It was telling that Hartley-Brewer didn’t jump on this and force him to answer.

A wise man once said that when you willingly give up any part of your freedom you’ll never get it back.

jeff, I don’t want to worry you but all sorts of people now have ‘skin in the game’, not least the NHS and SAGE and especially Whitty and Vallance. Every winter for the last ten years (ever since we had a Government that was part or wholly Conservative Party – what an amazing coincidence!) the NHS has been under pressure and at the point of collapse.

“Give us more money.” and the Chancellor of the Exchequer has duly obliged and handed over ever more cash from the taxpayer. The NHS has been incompetently run and incompetently re-organised for decades. That will not stop them. The banking crash did not stop them. Covid and all its fellow coronaviruses – and there are plenty – actually advantage the NHS and they can hold the country to ransom every winter. Also, the Labour leader after Gordon Brown, the one who took over ten years ago – another coincidence – his headstone is propped up in a corner somewhere, now what was his name?, he ‘weaponised the NHS’ to try and win back power for the Labour Party. Yet another amazing coincidence! Three together, all at once, just like London buses, incredible.

That is until a very strong and determined Government with a substantial majority in Parliament says “Stop!” “No more.” this will probably run and run for ever, aided and abetted by the MSM, especially the BBC.

Stew, that ‘food is cheap’ is a media myth and one that has been heavily promoted by the BBC for some considerable time. Those of us with memories know how expensive food really is now.

However, since that obesity and sugar thing got going, the supermarkets have been running veg and fruit loss-leaders for PR purposes (in reality the losses are often borne by the farmers) at the front of stores. I cannot remember who was the first to do it but Asda and Tesco both do, Morrisons, Sainsbury and M&S currently do not.

Maybe Tesco and Asda started at the same time? Aldi and Lidl have sort of followed their example but don’t resort to the ‘front of store – opposite the entrance’ placement that Asda and Tesco do. They just have weekly ‘specials’ eg. half price large flat mushrooms or brussels sprouts at 2/3rds off, again probably squeezing their suppliers.

If you are willing to buy and cook seasonal food it is possible to eat cheaply. However if you have fallen for various MSM inducements, then food is quite expensive to very expensive. Laughingly, the BBC even do articles now on the web-site on how to save money by not having the metro-libbers diet of pancakes topped by raspberries and blueberries and ‘a grated choc topped cappucino coffee to go’ collected on the way to work.

Earlier today the BBC asked me if I could see five meals for a week in the second pic here, photo supplied by Roadside Mum. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55641740 . My answer: “Yes, if it is for one child.”

Its hard to believe that we are NOT in a coordinated Eugenics program. The media has changed almost overnight (since last March, I reckon on a prompt) from being skeptical to approving of (drastic) ‘experiments’ that are exceptionally absurd in modern times. Almost all claims of ‘progressive’ liberal thinking is forwarded by the BBC as some kind of improved ‘science’ (on lock down – supporting ‘man-made climate change’ by not moving). Using whatever means necessary, to enable ‘rapid and permanent population control’ across the planet by a little known policy that every politician knows about but are sworn to never reveal and block the media from asking. They need fools like ‘Ferguson’, as being totally incompetent and untrustworthy with his dire predictions, so is a perfect fit for this kind of undercover operation. He can be easily discredited later. He also cannot be questioned on ‘validity’ of his claims, nor anyone on SAGE for rolling out a ‘cure’, even though in history we have never overcome the seasonal common cold, flu, pneumonia and several ‘variants’ that overwhelms the NHS each year like Cancer or even Sepsis, are far more serious.

Abolishing the only freedom that has kept world peace from tyranny in most countries is ‘democracy’ which is being abolished by stealth. When Tony Blair stated that ‘democracy is now dead’ he meant it (as PM at the time), he foresaw this world wide scale epidemic, may be necessary. he signed us up UN agenda 21 and so its been updated to regular ‘updates’ based on sustainability of the program. We are still in that program, we never left. But it can never be made public, hence the media may loose their OFCOM license if they mention it.
UN Agenda exists: Its just never discussed as an unspoken rule:
    Media blackout on the subject.
    http://www.searchforthetruth.co.uk/agenda-21
    https://www.postsustainabilityinstitute.org/which-nations-signed-agenda-21.html
Blair was an internationalist Socialist. He knew this day would come.

Its easy to blame China, for a virus that could have been started anywhere. And don’t forget the new Kent and South African variant (surprise, surprise! – Lurking in your back yard). No doubt another will be found shortly in Scotland, Ireland or Wales, if things start to flag, as they will (further lock downs). This will be repeated across the western nations, until the UN say so – or Biden says STOP!
    World government compliance, assured.

China has a place in this drastic action policy. It has that edge of compliance. The left are free to take advantage.
‘Drastic action’ by tin pot tiny Council politics al over the country) (Examples by the Mayor of London to cover the roads with bollards and traffic restrictions to ‘cut down on emissions’ on (chiefly) London train and bus, (Diesel) along with all the Lorries delivering food and parcels for the capital. The target is removing all private cars by 40%, raise the price for travel. Electric Cars are also ‘unsustainable’ (when you consider the toxic materials they consume in manufacture and the cost to produce when ‘rare’ earth metals are imported and distributed only from China). Where else?

China is not part of the CO2 scam called Climate change, but the same ‘world leaders’ are working on taxing the emissions of any country that competes with ‘China’. Only China can produce CO2. Its nonsense, of course as CO2 is not ‘toxic’ or a ‘danger-to-the-planet’ but (unchallenged) on BBC TV and Radio by the ill-informed children and broadcast to children to recant, report non believers, and make haste, the end of the world is nigh..

The virus is the door. Its not going away, it will be around for good. It will be added to all the ‘other’ viruses out there mutating in the crowded ‘chicken-sheds’ we call NHS hospitals. All other complaints that you and I may have, will just disappear under total collectivization. Death seems a benefit. Fashionable diseases come and go, along with miracle cures that end up ‘not working’ a few years later, will be quietly forgotten like Thalidomide.

We shall be thinner, poorer and more desperate after several years of this. Biden with his family Chinese connections will ensure that his ‘voting’ machines are installed in all ‘western nations’ and imported across EUROPE for the EU. This is global program (Labour called it : ‘Social Engineering’). And almost all were a stream of EU directive (from the EU), and gold plated by UK civil-servants eager to please the new masters. Of course it was Tony Blair that politicised the civil-service that made all this possible.

At the time China was a small player and Russia was the BBC favorite, times have reversed, China is most dominant, and has shown that ‘central planning’ (something we in UK had post war and only escaped in the 1960’s) is a really good idea to combat rising affluence. Inventions dreamt up by the UN was sponsoring
fringe groups to collapse the family, church influences, money supply (central banking), Industrial permits (called CO2 emission targets), and placements in key positions of authority to alter course (on demand). Usually left wingers who approve of the UN policies, and can put them into practice. They hold all the key positions. UK Institutions long hollowed out, are replaced with mediocre voices of the radical left.

The BBC is hide bound by these rules and regulations.

We have all been ‘signed up’ nations (including UK) to enforce A BRAVE NEW WORLD (or GLOBAL RESET) – without disclosing why this has to be. Its no secret, Agenda 21. Its just no media organisation dare talk about it. UN policies can be mass produced and rolled out across near- identical mass media outlets of the BBC (and others in the loop).. on an international stage.

We will survive as the opposition. We won’t watch the BBC’ or (even) LBC, SKY, ITV. But as we are in the minority. We are just ‘the skeptics’ and will be mocked in the biblical sense. To protest is to be ignored by mass media who are on a religious fervour to ‘save the planet’, without asking that austerity may mean the collapse of society to follow a tyrant (as yet to be installed). Our choices are limited, our voices ignored.

(US) Biden will succumb to the mystery ‘virus’ quite early on. Drugs *might* work (but will dmake you totally rely on NHS drugs for life). Drug dependency. The BBC never discuss these things, nor can they. It and Eugenics program, designed to offset half the planets population in 20 years. Save the NHS, seems a bit hollow.

A virus, what a brilliant idea! How novel and productive! Climate change must now be enforced using the same methods. Everyone together comrades. The collective administrations to ‘save the planet’ from destruction.

EUGENICS by another method, totally acceptable alongside wholesale NHS abortion clinics and gender experiments. Something we fought against in the last war and has been re-established and re-badged as ‘equality and diversity’
Medical experiments on children are in the courts. And yet we are not shocked. (Which national broadcaster promotes this stuff using public money), sponsors it and gives TV and radio time to it? There is no end to this indoctrination to establish ‘degradation’ ‘despair; and ‘infertility’. The opposite of faith , hope and charity. The BBC, of course, cannot be stopped from sponsoring it and claiming the medical experiments as ‘a success’. Infertility assured. Job done. Eugenics continues in other countries as Agenda 21.

Its not just the BBC: ‘The truth is, social media platforms and the press are increasingly ‘policing’ what is allowed into the public domain, actively suppressing anything that runs counter to the preferred ‘Woke’ narrative with the weasel and duplicitous justification that they are promoting tolerance and inclusivity – branding contrary opinions and unwelcome facts (even where scientifically validated) as fake.   This is not in public interest – it is resurgence of the same spirit of Nazism evident in the 1930s.’
    https://edition.cnn.com/2021/01/09/tech/parler-suspended-apple-app-store/index.html

Skeptics will be assimilated as a ‘hate-crime’. As promoted in law by the EU and (lastly) Scotland (not an land of free speech). The other word for a hate-crime is ‘blasphemy’, last used under Cromwell in this country and before that in Spain in the ‘Spanish Inquisition’. Going further back it was blasphemy to infer the Sun did did not go around the Earth. (The BBC fact checkers would now ensure the opposite was true). To deny the BBC funding is a similar claim, along with Climate Change, Gender assignment, Race theory and Diversity that clearly shows, all things are NOT equal and never will be. If this was the case, Marxism would have never have taken over the BBC political class, (who profited from every adventure they now deny being involved in). And the UN Agenda 21 would never have been created to combat ‘climate change’ ( a dire projection which even when proved ‘wrong’ on higher Science, is never reported in the mass media). A war we can never win. They change the argument (climate) at will (BBC deniability), and the ‘science’ was never really about Science (big S) but a change of global politics. Its all about Political science. Tony Blairs realm.

Hence an eternal virus from now on. An entire planet in lock down. If only Gordon Brown would come back to end all ‘economic’ down-turns. He had a plan, it failed, as did Tony Blair before him. They had a global plan and this is it, (plan B). Or perhaps the only plan to Save the NHS or some other notional nonsense, we shall here more of the same on all channels.

It will be a hate crime (Blasphemy) to question the past socialist failures both here in the UK and around the world in the ‘experiment’..
A new world: A new austerity! No votes, no choice, one diet (vegan), one size fits all, poverty, poor health, mental torture and a TV and Radio you cannot turn off. Is this our future? A UN dream of equal abuse on us all. To solve a problem that cannot be solved by man without extinction.

China is the new focus to copy and follow. A new climate model!
Environmentally – globally – nothing will change. China will not change either.
Global CO2 will be a ‘luxury’ tax the rich can easily avoid (as they don’t pay the EU or UN carbon taxes). Bitcoin mirrors the global anxiety. Taxes will rise astronomically.. Taxes to pay the NHS will increase ( at the same time) your paid minimum wage will stagnate. Luxury items will be maintained for the very rich.

Its hard to be an optimist. This one is so well planned, the problems will surface when the money no longer exists. No savings, no investments, no pensions (eventually). Is this not a Marx liberal dream of modernity? Are we not now living the Marxist dream? Biden set the standard for how to win against all odds.
    Cheat.

America beaten into submission by effective cheats. Biden will have control of all the buttons, so any future diversion from the prime directive is now impossible without a civil war.
    https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/the-socialist-conquest-of-america

China must be pleased with the outcome of its Biden investments.
Without a doubt China will rule the worlds industry. The global reset will not fix the problem but we will face 20 years of austerity.

Predictable Labour luvvie Joan Bakewell is taking Matt Hancock to court over his failure to provide a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine as ‘promised’, with super solicitors Leigh Day – the noble enterprise behind British forces prosecutions – at her service.

Perhaps Ms Bakeoff missed the rational medic who said the other day: ‘If you have two family members, both with Covid, and two doses of vaccine, would you give one dose each to the two or two doses to one of them?
Being a BBC nurtured Labour peer obviously imparts an above average sense of privilege but evidently not egality.
Will she qualify for legal aid in her quest?

There’s not enough penicillin in Vienna to go round so Orson Welles took what there was, watered it down so that its effect worse than no penicillin at all, and flogged it to the authorities at black market prices. Unfettered free enterprise of course but that’s by the by.

That’s how daft the situation with withholding the second half of the Pfizer vaccine is.

Beeb news again today – so predictable. If it’s not about the size of your packet (of free food) it’s negative stuff about Covid vaccinations and who, what and where. Never any positive stuff. It really is quite depressing. Cue the next Beeb ‘idea’ that we are all depressed (due to them, but don’t mention that) and what are the Government going to do about it, where is all the free counselling etc etc.

Once again we are faced with numerous people who cannot grasp the simple concept of history.
An example Beeb headline ‘ I remember going to bed with hunger pains’. Danielle recalls that she “was brought up in a household where we didn’t have food at home,”
Her mother was ill, and couldn’t work. A single-parent household, Danielle says she and her two siblings were often left to “fend for themselves”, in addition to caring for their mum.

Now bearing in mind it’s the Beeb if half that story were true, then it does tug at the heartstrings a little. But wait, Danielle is 39. So by my calculations 25-30 years ago. The idea that we haven’t progressed as a country, moved on and improved our standard of living is preposterous. Both parents are responsible, whether it’s one Dad or five and both parents should pay, with severe jail penalties if they don’t. Today her story is irrelevant, apart from being historical.
That’s where this country has gone backwards, the SFNB (Something For Nothing Brigade) has taken over, we dance around them, they avoid their responsibilities and then the average person picks up their tab.

Hear hear, as far as negativity goes lunchtime local news highlighted one chap who’d tried to book ‘jabs’ for himself and his partner and had to give up because the recorded message told him all their agents were currently busy then disconnected the call. Much sighing and tutting about the failure of the system THEN almost as an afterthought the closing comment was that he tried again a bit later and got through and has booked appointments successfully. This apparently constitutes ‘news’

I mentioned in another thread how Joe gets-on-my Wicks has made a fortune from his on line exercise class. Well, even I hadn’t realised how much he has coined in. I read yesterday that it was NINE MILLION pounds ! and is set to make as much again with this lockdown. Apparently he charges £69.50, although I’m not sure how many classes that covers, but surely running up and down stairs would have the same effect and at no cost.

Jane Martinson – a Guardian Hack seems a bit concerned that non approved thought might still take place via a new TV station – I’ve cut and pasted the first two paragraphs from her piece which is freely available in that rag .

    From The Guardian 13 jan 2021 ….starts …

‘ Older, Brexit-supporting men who live outside London are really unhappy with the BBC. A survey commissioned by the Times first said so, followed earlier this week by Lord Botham, writing in the Telegraph on behalf of “country people” fed up with the “woke” BBC. “There is another unaccountable institution that Britain got fed up with,” he warned. “The European Union and its officials in Brussels made the mistake of thinking that we would always grin and bear it.”

There has long been an alignment of interests between those who despise the EU and those who despise the BBC for its publicly funded journalism. This confluence has also been demonstrated by British newspaper owners and their editors; now two new television ventures are providing a fresh outlet.”

… continues in the paper ……

… I hope the hack reads this site ….although by her failure to realise that by hitching its wagon to the EU and remain traitors – the BBC and its friends will remain a target for city types like me ….

Last thing – ‘old men ‘ gets a mention by this lady hack twice in her piece . You kind of get the feeling she originally wrote ‘old white men ‘ but the editor saw that there might be an issue with the word ‘white ‘. I think the hack has a dislike of ‘old men ‘… maybe she got dumped or daddy didn’t like her much …

I cannot help but feel very sad that those who are in Capitol Hill, United States, should want to impeach President Donald Trump and with insurection/rebellion. Such a massive display of advertising this issue by such a den of vipers, led by a very vicious woman, does not do the Unites States any favours, within the US or in the World at large. Irrespective of the lengths the authorities there have gone to, to provide protection against any further outbursts of anger, before or during the anaugriation there will still be anger across America that will no doubt manifest itself later in time. A determiined effort against Donald Trump has been made continuously throughout his Presidency by the very evil that will shortly inhabit the White House and not just Biden. God help America.
