Start the Week 28 December 2020

Can you feel the fresh wave of Grief the BBC is feeling as it comes to terms with really leaving the EU in 4 days time ? Will it experience acceptance ? Or set up a ‘rejoin unit ‘ to pump out more anti British Propaganda and telling taxpayers what they are ‘missing ‘in their perfect EU? Meanwhile an extra 12 million people have signed up to pay TV in the last year …..

Having a look at what the BBC thinks is ‘funny’ these days, This ‘article’ is an excellent example of just how wide they are of the mark. Vicar Of Dibley was another. They think it’s funny in the same way they wet their panties when someone famous reads out the wrong result at an awards ceremony.

Zoom: All the times virtual meetings didn’t go as planned this year From animal interruptions to catching fire, here’s a look back at the year we spent (badly) online.

Missing context : That a BBC employee was was in court this year after he was caught , gland in hand, watching child porn during a zoom meeting in 2018.
BBC project manager Duncan Wheelhouse caught watching child rape media on group Zoom call in a police sting. He engaged in a virtual meeting corresponding with others discussing child abuse, watching child rape images being live-streamed

    Apologies.
I’ve postulated on this site that Greta Thumberg is a modern cabbage patch doll.
I now realise she is in fact a poorly programmed cyborg.
    How so?
Listening briefly to her cosyish chat with Margaret Attwood and the Toady female presenter (Martha?) this morning, it struck me that she has about a half dozen stock phrases or answers which cover a variety of questions typically asked by on-message interviewers such as those on the BBC. But the slightest deviation, anything even faintly critical, and that requires an imaginative or different approach, and the computer says no and the result is a magnitude jump in incoherent, cliched, inanity.
More work required from the programmers. And in more ways than one.

I’m always amazed nobody takes her to task about being able to actually see CO2 rising from rubbish dumps.
Might actually show people what a damaged fantasist she is. Her parents and people like those at the BBC should be jailed for child abuse. She’s going the way of David Ike.

It’s a function of her type of autism: obsessive focus on a very small range of topics, inability to handle anything else, lacking empathy, indifferent to people and suffering. She has indeed been literally programmed by her parents to spout this nonsense. Remember, it is a medical condition and not a reflection on her intelligence or value as a person.

On the other hand, the entire BBC displays something analogous to a corporate version of it, being entirely obsessed with race, gender, perversion, criminality, globalism and bogus environmentalism (although these topics do tend to overlap). Yes, liberalism is also a sickness of the mind, but in their case it is a disease of choice and no sympathy should be offered at all.

Read elsewhere that the alleged hate crime happened about five years ago, Boyle is quoted saying
““I would like [Gervais] to have the same respect for trans people as he seems to have for animals. I don’t think that’s a lot to ask.””
So Boyle wants trans people treated like animals?

US Election News. This is likely to be interesting. I’ve done some research, and it does not appear to be fake news. If correct, Trump has now won Pennsylvannia and gained 20 Electoral College Votes.

“HARRISBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — A group of Republican lawmakers say they’ve performed an extensive analysis of election day data and they’ve found “troubling” discrepancies.

According to State Rep. Frank Ryan (R-Lebanon), 17 lawmakers sponsored and participated in the analysis.

Ryan, who is a certified public accountant, says they discovered discrepancies between the numbers of total votes counted and total number of voters who voted in the 2020 General Election which is making them question how the results could have been certified by Gov. Tom Wolf and Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar.

Ryan says they found that 6,962,607 total ballots were reported as being cast, while DoS/SURE system records indicated that only 6,760,230 total voters actually voted.”

his theory being that actual sick people don’t infect others cos they stop at home.
Whereas others were arguing that asymptomatic carriers don’t have a high viral load so you rarely catch a viral dose off them.

      After Polly’s third tweet

What’s going on is that Hitchens likes today’s Mail presentation
that says only 388 people under 60s with no underlying health conditions UHCs have died
And added the BBC never admits that.
The LeftyWaffe are not going to have the Mail win and the BBC insulted, so they have piled in Rosen followed by Alice Roberts.

Rosen with 50 tweets against Hitchens this afternoon
His narrative : so you are saying millions of people with UHC can just die.

      And Alice Roberts
“There are 5.4 million people in the UK with asthma alone.
All of them ready to be written off by the DM and Hitchens,
      it seems.”

That’s MISREPRESENTATION young people with asthma are not in much danger of Covid.
      – The first thing to do is shield over 60s with UHC
      – Then all over 70s
      That’s almost all deaths prevented

The LeftWaffe narrative is that “People with UHCs are 25% of the population”.. Yes but although there could be 10 million people with UHCs under 60 they still have a very low death risk
      even though it’s not zero.

78 % of people who have died with Covid who had a UHC
had at least one of the four following
      – Chronic liver disease, CPD, dementia,
and diabetes (with another comorbidity caused by diabetes ie chronic obesity)

BBC Brexit predictions come unstuck (again). So they don’t report it…. After all the BBC never get anything wrong do they?
(from the Telegraph today 29th December 2020)
I’m sure it was purely pressure of space that stopped the BBC website reporting a forecast by the Centre for Economic and Business Research (CEBR) that the UK economy will grow to become 23 per cent larger than that of France by 2035. It mentioned in passing that the CEBR has the UK growing by four per cent per year between now and 2025 and by 1.8 per cent from 2026 onwards, but only at the end of a long report about the Chinese economy overtaking the US by 2028. What it didn’t say was that the CEBR sees UK growth outstripping that of EU countries. The French economy is currently 3.5 per cent behind that of the UK. The CEBR also sees the UK economy outgrowing Germany: today, it is 43 per cent smaller but by 2035, reckons the CEBR, it will be just 10 per cent behind.

True, I don’t put much store by economic forecasts, nearly all of which are about as accurate as Michael Fish’s infamous failure to forecast the Great Storm of 1987. Yet the BBC’s omission is a little odd in that the corporation has been previously been assiduous in reporting think tanks’ economic forecasts for post-Brexit Britain, often making them lead items on the news. To give a flavour, in 2016 it reported that the “CBI cuts forecast amid Brexit dark cloud of uncertainty”. In 2017 it reported “IMF downgrades UK growth forecast on Brexit”, while on the negotiation of the withdrawal agreement in October 2019 it reported: “Brexit Deal means £70 billion hit to UK”.

It isn’t hard to spot a slight theme here: when economists were forecasting doom it was big news; when they start changing their minds and decide that actually a post-Brexit UK will outperform the EU it is no news at all…

Just as well, I avoid the BBC, like the plague!

    Click to access ERG-Legal-Advisory-Committee-Opinion-on-EU-UK-Trade-and-Cooperation-Agreement.pdf

Conclusion. Our overall conclusion is that the Agreement preserves the UK’s sovereignty as a matter of law and fully respects the norms of international sovereign-to-sovereign treaties. The “level playing field” clauses go further than in comparable trade agreements, but their impact on the practical exercise of sovereignty is likely to be limited if addressed by a robust government. In any event they do not prevent the UK from changing its laws as it sees fit at a risk of tariff countermeasures, and if those were unacceptable the Agreement could be terminated on 12 months’ notice.

    On fisheries:
Fisheries. The Agreement provides for continued access by EU vessels to UK waters (i.e. the UK’s territorial waters and its Exclusive Economic Zone) during a 5½ year period up to mid2026, during which EU vessels are to have defined, but progressively declining, shares of the Total Allowable Catches of fish species as specified in the Annexes. This aspect of the Agreement temporarily limits the exercise of the UK’s sovereign rights over its waters that would apply in the absence of the Agreement.
However, the Agreement does not require the UK to continue to follow and apply the Common Fisheries Policy rules. Furthermore, and importantly, the UK may modify the rules, e.g. to strengthen conservation, subject to the constaint that it may not discriminate between UK and EU vessels in the rules which it applies.
At the end of this transitional period, the UK will have the legal right to take full control of its waters, despite a question mark introduced by the last column in the table in Annex FISH.1 (p893) being headed “2026 onwards”. After that time the EU may impose tariffs on UK fish exports to the EU, and EU leverage may also include the termination of the energy title and the transitional, less restrictive rules of origin for electric batteries. The question of practical sovereignty is therefore dependent on the preparedness and robustness of the UK Government’s response at that time, which we are confident they will achieve.

So the key to all this is if we have a “robust government.”
    Fat chance.

This is why one should never give in inch to certain people and organisations:

Self-styled ‘Black Panther of Oxford’ behind BLM-inspired political party calls for ‘Holocaust-style’ reparations for all black people and a sex offenders-style ‘race offence register’

This would include people guilty of ‘micro-aggressions’, which the Oxford Dictionary defines as ‘indirect, subtle, or unintentional discrimination against members of a marginalised group’.

‘It’s similar to the sex offenders register,’ she told MailOnline. ‘If you were to be racially abusive to someone, [the register] would question whether someone is fit enough to hold a particular job where their bias could influence another person’s life.

Ms Johnson said inclusion on the list would mean you could be excluded from ‘certain fields’ of employment – or even banned from living near people from ethnic minorities.

‘If you live in a majority-coloured neighbourhood you shouldn’t reside there because you’re a risk to those people – just like if a sex offender lived next to a school he would be a risk to those children,’ she said.

While the party does not provide a list of specific offences which would warrant inclusion on the register, its manifesto does state that anyone merely ‘accused’ of an offence would be added, as well as anyone ‘charged’ with a race crime.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/dec/29/uk-government-accused-pursuing-white-nationalist-agenda-runnymede-trust

Halima Begum said ministers had failed to respond meaningfully to the “seismic shifts” represented by Black Lives Matters (BLM) protests and the disproportionate effect of Covid-19 on black and minority ethnic (BAME) Britons.

I think the government’s long-term plan is to work up white nationalism for the next elections,” said Begum. (I think it’s actually YOUR plan Begum!)

Begum said she believed the Conservative government was inspired by the electoral success of rightwing politicians such as Trump in 2016 but also the party’s “individualistic notion of society and the economy”.

So this seems to be the same tactic used against Trump. Shout racist, racist, racist and thus get as much confrontation as possible and get all the malcontents on board.

As in the USA, the is an attempt by a non-partisan quango to engage in left-wing politics to their own ends. Trying to stir up hatred in an attempt to grab more power.

A quick look at the senior staff at the Trust reveals that none are white.

I wonder what Halima Begum gets in remuneration, paid for by the taxes levied in the main on the majority White Working Class in this Country?
