Midweek Thread 16th December 2020

Deal or No Deal Part – Whatever – thankfully for us the BBC continues to self harm . This time they’ve taken on a boxer who doesn’t want to be a ‘sports personality ‘ . Naturally the BBC ignores him .Meanwhile Joe Biden is the President Elect of the USA . Therefore the BBC narrative will change to ‘how long can the dementing old boy last? “ . Let’s see…

I haven’t posted here for a long time, but some of you may remember I used to contribute humorous articles. I’ve finally written another one, inspired by my observation that Covid has coincided with peak lunacy in Britain’s BBC-led political correctness plague. Given that Covid is a sensitive topic, I thought I’d seek approval before posting it.

It takes the form of a spoof medical article about the wokeness pandemic of Con-vid 2020 (Corbynistavirus). It details Con-vid’s devastating effects on the BBC – especially the virulent diversity strain and its variant Gender Under Fluid Flexibility (GUFF). Many viewers feel they have rendered BBC dramas like Doctor Who so unwatchably ill that they need a life support system of licence fee cash to survive.

It also relates the spread of Con-vid pathogens to commercial mainstream media. Effects have been disastrous on a ruling elite with no natural immunity to its stream of contagious cliches like, ‘All Brexit voters are ignorant provincial gammons who stole their children’s future’.

If there are enough ‘likes’, I’ll post this article in the next week – with suitable health warnings for the sensitive, of course! Yes, I know some will feel Covid is no subject for humour. I take the view this has been such a stressful year that trying to have a laugh helped me cope.

I don’t know whether this article works but I did my best. Let’s face it, it can’t be a worse Christmas special than this year’s Vicar of Dibley!

White Privilege – the societal privilege that benefits white people over non-white people in some societies (allegedly). This is so heinous that courses must be taken, and some groups given advantages over the indigenous people of these Isles. Okay, but there are other privileges, even more insidious, that we must look at and make amends for.

There is, for example, attractiveness privilege. Beautiful people, from their early days, are treated differently from the plainer, or the ugly. That is indisputable. A beautiful woman has the door held open for far more often than a plain one; she is given right of way when driving; and she is far less likely to be argued against. I have many times witnessed a beautiful woman saying the most stupid things only for the men around her agreeing in the hope, consciously or unconsciously, that they will get their “leg over”. It is inevitable that she will then believe that she is always right and clever.

Finally, I am sure that an attractive person will always get preference for a job where all else is equal (or the boss is a lech). This advantage obviously soon becomes accepted even though she is unaware of her privilege (though, to be sure, there are many women who knowingly use their beauty to their advantage).

Of course, our rulers are now pushing BAMEs at us (white guilt) at every opportunity but when it comes to having to have a white person (unless LGBT or disability takes precedence) it is almost inevitably going to be an attractive person. How many ugly weather girls are there on the BBC?

I speak from a male perspective, but it is the same with men I am sure. Now, tell me, how is this different from white privilege?

Ugly persons’ lives matter! Who will take the knee?

I have been overlooked for promotion and new job offers on multiple occasions, always, it seemed, losing out to more attractive people than myself. I also felt there was some kind of ‘attractiveness bias’. However, after applying for the position I have now secured, and noting that I was the leading candidate from start to finish, I’ve had to acknowledge that no such bias exists – my observations were misplaced.

This is my summary to save you wading through the BBC garbage.

The wife of Amazon founder has a divorce and now has £100bn to play with.
She has donated £4bn to – People of colour, food banks, wimmin’s groups and Climate Change.
Any to spare for Veteran charidees? No.
What a heroine. Really? She ticks all the BBC boxes but this sum is a drop in the ocean to this very fortunate woman. She probably rather dislikes Trump and looking at her she is probably a vegan and holds her farts in to save the planet.
Her snowflake feminist largesse has been built upon the efforts of a lowly male.

Yes, I saw that this morning too. Read so much of this ‘women great’, ‘men terrible’ drivel that I’ve become a little numb to it. If you read a little further down the page you’ll note that the husband that she acquired her wealth from – Jeff Bezos – has donated $10bn this year, but that’s little more than a footnote. Women donating someone else’s wealth is, as far as the BBC is concerned, far more honourable than a man donating his own wealth. It aligns perfectly with their mantra of women as deities and men as devils. Also note how they state “much of her fortune comes from Mr Bezos…”. ‘Much’. Surely, that should read ‘Almost all’ as, before she robbed Jeff Bezos, she was a hardly-known author who could not have amassed anything that resembled wealth. The divorce courts are an absolute joke.

Experts and campaigners have welcomed the donation from Scott McKenzie, former wife of Jeff Bezos and singer of the 1967 hit ‘If you’re going to San Francisco (be sure to wear some flowers in your hair)’, but have called upon the UN and governments in rich countries to do more. One idea which is rapidly gaining traction is the idea of a ‘Social Justice Tax’. This would operate along the lines of a global version of VAT, with a small levy on each purchase and transaction going towards a fund which would used to help marginalised and vulnerable groups, such as Wimmin, People of Color ™, undocumented migrants, people transitioning their gender plus imaginary victims of Climate Chaos ™. Initially the Social Justice Tax would only be payable in rich countries such as the UK, USA and EU states (whilst it continues to exist). However, there would be exemptions for China, the World’s 2nd largest economy because, well, you know (it’s just Biden it’s time).

The Archers on the ‘hidden’ side of modern slavery

Like other listeners to Radio 4’s The Archers, I’ve been gripped by the latest twists in its modern slavery storyline. Since March, we’ve known about three British-born men – Blake, Jordan and Kenzie – who’ve been enslaved by builders and kept at a secret location near Ambridge. Last night, we heard the men talk among themselves for the first time and it was revealed they all have a learning or mental health disability. According to the Global Slavery Index, it’s thought there are up to 136,000 victims of modern slavery in the UK. This is the appalling reality that Archers’ editor Jeremy Howe has chosen to confront.

What do our newspapers want? Do they sufficiently reflect our views? Us British are a divided lot these days. Take just one issue as an example – one that was tested by referendum – half of us wanted Brexit (in fact, significantly, just over half). One can’t help but feel if that majority opinion had been honestly reflected in our media then Brexit would surely have happened by now.

Instead, our media including most of the press considered the Brexit vote a mistake, an aberation, reversible no less.

Let’s look at the press today. What does the Labour-leaning working class tabloid Daily Mirror want?

‘Covid crisis shambles’ – that’s simply tabloid word soup hyperbole – with the contemporary buzz-word twist.

‘All we want for Xmas is …a decision’ – that’s a folksy way of saying we’re just dumb-minded prols desperate for someone big and clever to tell us what to do because we can’t think for ourselves. Boris doesn’t fit the bill so over to Sir Keir Starmer QC, presumably?

‘Dithering Boris refuses to tighten his festive free-for-all rules as experts warn of dangerous New Year virus spike’ – there’s a lot there to unpack (as they like to say) so let’s be naughty and rip off the Xmas wrapping from this Daily Mirror headline a little early.

Dithering Boris is fair comment. Free-for-all frankly sounds suspiciously like some Labour manifesto pledge. But seriously, does the Mirror consider the prevailing restrictions on our lives a free-for-all? Is this not enough. Should we all hide from covid and go and live like a hermit in a cave and let the dinosaurs return. The only people I see going free-for-all our our elite media luvvies. But what’s the policy demand here from the worker-friendly Mirror? Basically to ban your family Christmas because some so-called experts say so. The jepardy being that if the Mirror (on behalf of Sir K) finds one old dear or elderly codger who pops his or her clogs and they can blame Boris then job done. And the cost to the nation, the people and our society – colateral. Seems there’s a narrow partisan war against the Tories here. Not that you could really slip a fag paper between the reds and the blues policy-wise.

Do we British really want our Christmas cancelled? Wise up Daily Mirror.

What does the middle-class Labour-leaning Guardian want?

‘David Oyelowo “Nowhere has been better at covering up racism than Britain”‘ – Guardian wants an anti-white race war by the sound of things. Last thing I noticed being systematically covered up was the ethnic and religious composition of child sex grooming gangs.

There was a standard ‘sneer ‘ article about why people voted for brexit in one of the Sundays ( again ) . For the writer it was due to sub intelligence types who don’t like immigration . I had to force myself to read it because -even now – they choose not to understand . Perhaps it’s an age thing and they don’t appreciate the deceit used to get us into their ‘common market ‘ in the first place .
Couple that with the Marxist desire to undermine the nation state ( except Scotland ) and the list of reasons really get going .

  13. Doublethinker says:

Unfortunately I think that we can now write the obituary of democracy as it is almost impossible for a Trump to undo the steal. Biden will become a figure head President , a puppet of the internationalists. Brexit is also likely to be reversed in the coming years as people are manipulated by the forces of internationalism into believing it was a ghastly mistake.
People may continue to believe that they live in democracies where their votes count. But the reality is that the choices they are being offered are becoming increasingly the same and all are compliant with what the internationalists want. If by a rare coincidence of factors a leader is elected like President Trump who bucks this trend he or she is hunted down and crushed using any means necessary. When the internationalists are the legislators, the law enforcers , the judges and the jury it is impossible to break their hold by democratic means . President Trump has demonstrated this brilliantly and what has happened in the USA in the last five years shows to anyone who cares to look that power lies with unelected internationalists not with the democratic choice of the people.
Soon the power of national governments will be on a parr with those of devolved administrations in the UK and then they will be steadily further eroded in favour of supranational organisations like the EU or UN, which are in the pockets of the international oligarchs.
So we now live in the post democratic age , where our votes count for little other than deciding bus timetables and the like, but most of us don’t yet realise it. There are fewer and fewer channels of communication open to dissenters , those who believe in the democratic nation state that we all grew up in, they simply won’t be able to form a movement to oppose internationalism , Google , Face book , the MSM etc have seen to that.
We must face the bitter fact that democracy and the concept of the nation state are dead or at least in their death throes and that for the foreseeable future the internationalists rule the roost. Over the next decade or two they will ensure that mass migration , on an enormous scale, completely swamps the old democracies of the West so that there can be no return to the concept of the nation. A turning point in history , one very much for the worse, has been reached.

In the paragraph titled Nationalism versus Patriotism the authors mention the “hard right ” and its opposition to the BBC . Little Jon Sopel was dribbling his short piece on R5 Dead earlier today, by telling the world that Republicans are all now deserting President Trump in droves.

I wonder if he understands that when Kamilla Norris takes over from Biden after a few weeks, he’ll be the butt of every joke available on fake news? Nobody will take him seriously, as he’ll be so far up the various fundaments in the WH, he’ll be ignored by just about everyone!

The Party never wanted Trump. The voters Trump energised will not just sit back and accept a return of the GOP to the way it used to be.
Biden will be a disaster and Trump is well out of it-for now.

It’s the bare faced hypocrisy of feminists that should astound me. But it doesn’t. Feminists – who get huge backing from the BBC – stopped trying to attain ‘equality’ a long time ago, very simply because they achieved it a long, long, time ago. Feminism is no longer about equality, but the goal of supremacy. Anyone that lives their lives without blinkers on has seen the goalposts clearly shift. It really is time that people started calling this damaging sh*t out for what it is – blatant, in-your-face, discrimination.

Anyway, I’m going to start a campaign to get more women into mining, rig-work, fishing, construction etc. Need to desperately level the playing field for in-work deaths. Women – can’t live with them, can’t…. nope, just can’t.

More The War Against The BBC .

Chapter 3 is What Have the Romans Ever Done For Us .

As you would expect with a title like that , this is where we get the BBC Is A Bargain meme often trotted out by the BBC itself . Hence the advertising campaign fronted by John Cleese in the eighties .
So by a series of convolutions we get the annual fee for the BBC broken down into weekly , daily and hourly figures .
Thats £3.03 per household per week , 43 pence per day and less than 9 pence per hour if youre an average household .
Well that is a bargain , if you like the sort of thing the BBC is . Those figures are a bargain for the thug Julius Striechers anti semitic newspaper Die Sturmer if you like that sort of thing .

The chapter gives all the service the BBC has to offer and tells us that 99% consume at least some BBC services .

Then we come to the paragraph about the 2015 BBC Deprivation Study . Ill have to do a separate post about that if I may .

After that the next para is The BBCs citizen and economic contributions .
This is where the book tells us about its “broader ” contributions to the arts , broadcasting ecosystem , diverse communities , training , creative industries , music and the wider economy .
I suppose the authors feel the BBC is like a public road , the road doesnt make any money but allows others to use it , some for business and thus its a Good Thing .
Except that , do we need that road/BBC ? Would everything wither on the vine but for the BBC ?
Next para is a wail against Gordon Brown making the BBC fund the digital switch over . This to me is like a restaurant wailing against having to pay a supplier for food delivered . Already I see in this book that whenever the BBC is not given money or allowed to press extra charges on the population its described as cuts or a raid on its finances .
The next para is about the BBC world service and the one after about other government activities the licence pays for , which is nothing as far as I can see .

The next chapter is about is the BBC wasteful or not .
I,ll keep you posted if you like .

I think Nihal means it “affected” him. Strangely, whenever he is on the radio, I am affected by an urgent need to hit the off switch.

Perhaps Nihal would be good enough to tell us how many Sri Lankans he thinks the BBC should employ? I am sure if he went back to Sri Lanka, he would be surrounded by fellow Sri Lankans, but I rather doubt any white Britons would have a prime time radio show on the state broadcaster. Please tell me if I am wrong, Nihal.
