Start the Week Thread 23 November 2020

Isn’t it Great? Many on this site despair at not being able to change the Far Left Biased BBC sooner rather than later . But the behaviour of the BBC is now exposing the madness . Last month it was censoring “land of Hope and Glory “ at the Proms . Now it has censored a Christmas pop tune . Even the least attentive taxpayer reading this stuff in the papers must be starting to realise the BBC is no longer fit for purpose.

Encouraging. We should remember that President Trump has appointed about fifty senior judges in the past four years and if they hear the case they may actually apply the law to it rather than the usual liberal politics which so many judges in the US are prone to do. Still I’m not letting my hopes rise too much because the forces ranged against the President are formidable and have always succeeded in the past. The only time that they have failed was 2016 and they know that if they fail again they will be in prison during Tump’s second term with long sentences. So they have nothing to lose and will do anything to stop Trump and save their skins.

It is estimated that as many as a half of one per cent of
the population of the UK is transgender , around 300 to 400,000
good people. It must be hard for you to work out what sex
you are, or want to be. And I have the greatest respect for
folk wishing to identify their sexuality.
The BBC with its number one agenda of diversity and what they
call ” positive discrimination” have a self identified work
force of around 2% who confess to being transgender. That’s
    also OK by me.
What is not ok is for the BBC to make transgender issues
one of their main priorities . They seem to have made this
a default position with great prominence , day after day after
    day on their website.
Finland is apparently the most “progressive ” country in
the world . With the most senior positions in government
filled by women. I don’t know if they were originally men. There
is legislation that says you can say whatever sex you want to
be. How do I know this? Of course by reading it on the
BBC website where it is a major topic. As it is day after day.
To be honest how the Finns run their country and their
“inclusiveness” has nothing to do with me. As long as
the progressives at the BBC and in Finland don’t for one
reason or another decide to cancel Jean Sibelius because he
was a white heterosexual man who loved the good life including
some of the vices . That would not be OK by me.

      Fos,

Have no fear. It’ll all sort itself out when the communists/Marxists take over. They’ll drop the efforts to introduce and perpetrate these illusions because, simply, they don’t believe them anyway and their usefulness has, for their purposes, evaporated. In fact, they will then have the reciprocal problem of de-radicalising the adherents to the nonsense you describe. Luckily for them, and on the basis of the very small number involved, I would suggest that they incarcerate the numbers needing de-radicalising in a manner similar in form to what, ‘Communist Central’ (Beijing) does with them: Set up camps to de-radicalise muslims. Alternatively, the numbers involved being very small, apply the long standing chinese / communist remedy – kill them.

      Simples.

I read somewhere on here today recommending “cat and cucumber” video on youtube (cannot find the reference now) but it does raise a smile watching a cat jump when it sees a cucumber for whatever reason.

But I tried it at Darcy Towers just now and the cat did not bat an eyelid..

Off to Pets at Home now to get a pit viper, see if that works, it should make for an amusing video

If I get enough hits I may try a King Cobra or Goliath Tarantula next, the possibilities are endless

I recall a friend arriving at the door once with his new Weimeramer dog, it was like Tom and Jerry in our house for 5 minutes, the dog did not even enter the house, I never realised cats could actually hang upside down from the ceiling.

So many questions about the supposed efficacy of this 90% effective vaccine.

So that’s a 10% failure rate. Are they testing on human patients and of those guinea pigs they must have exposed to the infection we must dedeuce 10% still caught it?

Or are they doing all this in a test tube?

Assuming they are using real human patients with a 10% chance of a dose of Covid that will have to be deliberately administered – then the medics overseeing these tests either a) excuse their exposing their test subjects for the reason they can’t really believe the virus is as deadly as they routinely portray it to the general public – or b) their experiments are ethically akin to something the Japanese might have done during the war. (Our teutonic european neighbours already deservedly get a lot of bad press for their inhumane medical experiments. The Japanese were at it as well. Mainly experimenting on the Chinese – ironically enough).

    • Doublethinker says:

It was a phase three standard pharmaceutical trial involving several tens of thousands of volunteers who were vaccinated , using several different dosage protocols , and then exposed to Covid. 70 to 90% of them did not catch it. There would have been a control group who were injected with something harmless but not the vaccine and then exposed to Covid. I assume that a high proportion of them caught it.
At an efficacy rate of 70% plus the virus will soon be homeless and die out in six months or so. So that those don’t wish to be vaccinated will be protected in due course . What hasn’t yet been established is how long the vaccine generated immunity lasts. Only time will tell us that, but it appears to be at least three months from the work done to date and is very likely to be much longer than that.

I’ll make a prediction that the judges will let her back in.

The Home Secretary took away her British citizenship on the rather spurious grounds that she “could” claim Bangladeshi citizenship through her father. But she has never been a Bangladeshi citizen, and the Bangladeshis, not unnaturally, do not want her.

So she’ll be coming back here. I hope I’m wrong, but does anyone really think the judges will not back her case?

      • Fedup2 says:

Rob – yes she’ll get a free ticket . The problem will be a unanimous finding with one judgement . Once upon a time there would be at least one dissenter – and that judgement would be as good a guide as the majority .

Nice bit of fake news here…

    Viral Thanksgiving grandma’s bittersweet reunion
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-us-canada-55052790

White lady has invited a black man around for Thanksgiving for last 4 years – tick!
Her husband died of Covid – tick!

At 1m18s the fake story falls apart as the captions use past tense to say the black man said grace this year, instead of her husband, but Thanksgiving is this Thursday.

The article is just 12 hours old so it looks like the BBC posted this fake article a few days too early.

Edit: watching it again a caption does say “they decided to have an early Thanksgiving dinner”. Was that specifically for the film crew?!?

“Why in Britain do we think it’s acceptable to soldier on and go into work if you have flu symptoms or a runny nose, thus making your colleagues ill?”

Err… often because you have allowed employers to employ staff on zero hours contracts, who simply won’t get paid if they don’t turn up, and may not even get offered any future work.
Don’t I expect the BBC to understand this either..

….apparently Christmas Day has a drama about a nun questioning her faith and sexuality – which should go down well after the Elizabeth Battenburg Windsor show ….

I saw in the papers somewhere today, Andy Murray’s mother, you know the one that got the job with the Tennis authorities on the strength of her coaching abilities, and then went dancing on a Saturday night, that one, well she is saying that the Black and Brown broadcaster, should have a prize for the female sports personality of the year as it has been won by a man for the last 13 years. For ferks sake where do you draw the line? They could have a lesbian sports personality, a gay sports personality, a tyranny sports personality (that South African 800 metre runner would tick numerous boxes), a black sports personality, an asian sports personality, mixed race the list goes on. Scrap the BBC

The contemptible Channel 4 news are giving the covid panic the full works tonight.
Firstly we had poor old Joan Bakewell, now in her dotage, but once regarded as “the thinking man’s crumpet”. She was enthusing about how inventive we’ve all been during lockdown. “I saw a family meeting up the other day” she trilled “and they used a plastic sheet so that they could hug each other.” She clearly thought it was wonderful, whereas I thought it sounded absolutely ghastly and that the people involved should have been carted off to the local loonie bin… She went on to warn us about how we should “celebrate” Christmas this year. Thanks Joan, but I’m not hugging my family through a plastic sheet. You can shove that idea where the sun don’t shine…

Then they immediately switched to some mournful talking head who informed us that Christmas get-togethers would see the cases soar. You know, I’d been in quite an upbeat mood until I turned the bloody news on…

Within the blink of an eye they were feasting like vultures on the tragic story of a young lad, Fezhan Jamil, who at only ten years old, “Is one of the youngest victims of covid.” However, it was clear for all to see that the poor boy had a myriad of other complaints and was a regular attendee at the hospital. There was no attempt to inform us of this poor kid’s other ailments, just that he’d become another victim of the plague.

You know, they won’t be happy until we’re all cowering in covid bunkers, hugging each other through plastic sheets and celebrating Christmas in hermetically sealed isolation cells.

Channel 4 news are an absolute disgrace…

    – They all got ISIS salaries
    – The Westerners were always hardcore
