I can assure everyone that the ground is wet at the moment which should mean digging down half a spade depth should be possible but poor Anita is so weak she couldn’t do it. I think the BBC really wanted to rubbish a programme by a TV rival that is stealing viewers and Licence Fee-payers from the BBC (you do not need a TV Licence if you only view subscription TV) but they also wanted a chance sneak in a hit at the Royal Family oldies and their Royal Household. I quite enjoyed seeing the BBC so conflicted.

I note on Breitbart that Guiliani and other members of the President’s legal team have ‘distanced’ themselves from Sydney Powell, saying that her claims go beyond those that they can so far prove. This doesn’t necessarily mean that she is in fantasy land . For instance she could be setting the scene for the law suit or be used to gain more public support or perhaps she is prepared to throw legal caution to the wind and go beyond what can definitely be proved in court.
But even if only a fraction of what Powell has claimed in recent days is true, then Biden certainly didn’t win the election, Trump did. But can the President get the US government and legal system to agree this and to strip Biden of the election? I’m not so sure that the court case will even be heard, too many powerful people risk being exposed and imprisoned if the truth comes out. Importantly Powell claimed that politicians on both sides were corrupt. Of course everyone knows that most politicians are as bent as hairpins but the Republicans won’t like the risk of being exposed to save Trump and democracy, particularly if they are being offered loads of money to stop the law suite. Perhaps that is why the Presiden’s team is distancing her.
Does anyone know how the mood of the ordinary voter is in the US over this vote rigging? Firstly do they even know about it? Do they regard it the major issue of the day? Do they believe that massive election fraud took place? Are they as angry as they should be if it is true? Will they accept Biden as President?
The obvious way forward for the fraudsters, I include the MSM in that category, is to brazen it out , claim it’s a fantasy and for the Democrat dominated legal and government systems to refuse to have anything to do with it and inaugurate Biden. Only the ordinary American people can stop that from happening and the consequent trashing of democracy once and for all.
Personally, I have no doubt there was massive fraud. I also think the obstacles in the way of being able to prove this will be too great.
I too would love to know what the average American voter thinks, because if half of them view elections as rigged it could have serious consequences down the line. After all, why bother voting if the deck is stacked against you? Much how I feel about this country, now I come to think of it, when I view the government I got as opposed to the one I thought I was voting for.

That’s the one thought that has been keeping me from despair these last few weeks. And here’s an interesting poll I found 75% of Republicans and, remarkably, 30% of Democrats believe the election was stolen if the headline (or poll) is to be believed.
R4’s Today had a section on the legal appeals on behalf of Pres. Trump, from 08:36 to 08:42, with some Republican dismissing the whole thing. There was no attempt to list or explain what Trump’s team are alleging, even if their claims are exaggerated or not enough to overturn the over-all result; just flat rejection.
Then, in the short news at 09:00 before Start The Week, the attorney Sidney Powell got a name check, but only because some Republicans were said to have distanced themselves from her and her allegations. The fact that the BBC have finally named her (and framed her as bad) suggests to me that they are frightened about what is coming out and have moved to discredit (rather than ignore) her.
This is why I have now given up on Today. Its relentless leftist bias is just no way to start the day. Now I just assume that it is broadcasting its leftist bullshit, but I am much happier listening to the sound of silence.
It has become so easy to ditch the BBC, and you feel so much better for it!

Let me put forward a hypothesis for the situation that the whole world finds itself at the moment.
There are some incredibly wealthy people out there, with more money than they could possibly spend in their lifetime. So, they have wealth, and as always, flowing from that, they have power. Some, however (I would count Gates and Soros here) crave a legacy; their name to be revered for all eternity. Philanthropy is all very fine but is relatively short-term in historical terms. But if they could change the whole world…
Gates, for example, has postulated that a global population of five billion is the ideal. There would be easily enough food and sustainable energy to provide for this figure, and if sovereign states could be abolished, to have just the one demos, there would be no war.
How, then, to achieve this? To start with, there is a (conspiracy?) theory that a putative Gates vaccine for some indeterminate disease could contain a contraceptive for places like Africa and Southern Asia to lower the population pressure in these places. A lower population would still, however, leave us with a potential cause of violence, warfare between competing nations. The obvious solution is to get rid of nation states. By having just mankind (shorthand for humankind of course) then global wealth could be shared out (except the really rich of course, citizens of the world, they will still have unimaginable wealth and be insulated on from the hoi polloi. Zil lanes anyone?)
Using this hypothesis as a prism through which to examine where we are today, things begin to make sense. Immigration? Soon we will all be one people, and through miscegenation the one colour too. TV adverts are leading the way – there are no coincidences in this scenario.
Climate change? The IPCC has stated that their aim is the redistribution of wealth from wealthy countries to the poor. I think they are straining their sinews to actually prove firstly that the climate is changing significantly quickly (it has throughout geological time of course) or that Man is playing a major part in it.
But we can use the argument to change our way of life, for example by insisting that IC-engined cars are banned from manufacture in 9 years, even though the infrastructure and power requirements could not possibly be met in that time-frame. They wave the carrot, 60,000 Green jobs will be created, ignoring the fact that millions will be lost. Of course, if we can’t possibly meet the target then one solution is to reduce the number of private vehicles – all shall have busses (except the wealthy of course) and bike lanes (see cities today with Covid as the excuse)
There are more fanciful theories of course. I don’t believe that Coronavirus was deliberately released on the world to reduce the population – cock-up, not conspiracy – but the opportunity was eagerly seized. It has been widely noticed there is a common saying, “Build Back Better”, used by Boris, Macron, Trudeau, Biden, and other world leaders and intending to be a blueprint for our “Brave New World”. It is no coincidence that this comes from the World Economic Forum (Gates and Soros again) dedicated to the New World Order, Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030, and of course Common Purpose. Please Google these if you do not know that they are Trojan Horses to our Brave New World.
This is the Great Reset using the pandemic as the vehicle for global change. Now, if I were to be a sceptic – which I am – I would say that this explains why we are stringing the pandemic out; that it’s not as bad as many other flu epidemics; that we are deliberately weakening our economies. But if we were to think that this could actually be helping the “Great Reset” then maybe that is a good reason for some to keep this going.
Of course, using my theory, these people are not evil, they are doing this out of the best possible motives – eventual world peace (and their own deification of course). However, like communism (perfect in theory – “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs” except the rulers of course) it will never happen. Even if we were to get rid of inter-nation strife there would still be inter-tribal, inter-religion, inter-party fighting. There will always be people who want more (hence crime and violence) and people who would rather do nothing (benefit scroungers).
Mankind will eventually find peace by evolution. Interference by the super-oligarchs will only bring grief.

I listened to bits of Any Questions repeat on Saturday (R4 1.15 – 2.00 p.m.) switching off occasionally in protest when I found a certain MP’s voice being too grating or their words too hypocritical. I was interested and listening when Chair, Chris Mason, said they had 6,000 questions e-mailed in in response to a public appeal running daily at different times on BBC R4 since the previous week. Only 6 questions were going to be used.
One in a thousand chance of getting your question chosen by the Producers and put to and answered by the Panel. Not long after that, the next question came up, and – yes – you guessed, it gave some on the panel a chance to attack the Government. I switched off in protest. Thanks to all the household distractions that prevented me, I did not switch back on.

Of all the various theories about the death of JFK, the idea that the Secret Service shot him by accident with an AR15 has no merit.
The assassination was seen at very close quarters by dozens of people, who saw and heard what happened. Some thought shots came from the Texas School Book Depository, some from the Grassy Knoll. No-one who was there saw or heard an AR15 going off in the Secret Service car. I assure you they would have done if it had happened. An AR15 is not quiet, and there were people just a few feet from the president when he was shot.
There is however an interesting tangent to the story of the AR15.
For a long time, the Secret Service kept quiet about them having one in the back up car. A deaf man called Ed Hoffman had been watching the motorcade from above the triple underpass and saw the assassination. He rushed down to where the various cars had stopped under the triple underpass, and saw what he called a machine gun in the hands of the Secret Service. Because the Secret Service denied they had had an AR15, he was disbelieved, but clearly he was telling the truth. This is interesting, because the other thing he saw was a man on the Grassy Knoll throw a dismantled rifle down to another man in the railway car park. He put the rifle in the boot of a car and they drove off. Because his story did not fit the official narrative, and because as a deaf man it was hard for him to get his story across, he was not believed. But it turns out he was right about one important thing he saw, so why not the other?

This is the thing with these vaccines, with the right resources you can compress 10 years worth of research into 10 months, but you can’t compress 6 years worth of human trials into 6 months. My better half works in the NHS – nope, that doesn’t mean I’ve got much good to say about them – and she doesn’t think the uptake will be great. That’s where I am with this. Statistics show a Covid survival rate of 99.9% for my age group. Weigh that against unknown long term effects and there’s no way I’m taking it. Others are free to come to their own, different conclusion but they are NOT entitled to make my choice for me.

For me it’s all about analysing risk. Yes, it makes sense for the elderly and the vulnerable to have the vaccination, but for everyone else it’s going to be a very subjective decision. For those people that do have the vaccination (including Granny), they’ll be immune to catching it from the people that don’t. I’ve already had it, so 100% will not be vaccinated – and would not have done even if I hadn’t had it tbh – but completely understand why others may.

The BBC are terribly squeamish about English history. They’re not at all keen on showing English heroes like Nelson, Scott and Drake. Unless of course they can find something nasty to attribute to them.
Worse than anything is how they casually distort our history. I’ve mentioned this before, but one of the most glaring examples was a Dan Snow attempt at showing us the Battle of Hastings. Or should I say, the updated, PC and BBC approved version of that iconic event.
According to the dramatized Dan Snow battle, William the Conqueror’s main lieutenant was a black chap. His name was (something like) Sir Roger DeFortescue) or thereabouts. According to the Beeb account he was the brains behind the successful rout of the Anglo Saxons.
