Weekend Thread 17 October 2020

According to the President of France – the horrific beheading of a teacher in Paris was an ‘Islamic terrorist attack’. The BBC has had to report this murder which was motivated by the showing of a cartoon of Mohammed ;but on its track record the BBC will be desperate to close the incident down and pretend threats of terrorism in the UK are from elsewhere . There is a dark side to multiculturalism but for the BBC propaganda machine it is ‘look away now ‘…

I splashed out on 4 boiled eggs for 30p
Yesterday large celery 20p, prepacked black pudding 20p, pound of mince for 40p, 6 pints of milk for 60p,

Scrumpy is fermenting in the cupboard.

Loads of people in Britain shout poverty, yet they don’t know how to live cheaply
If I go into town ..there are all these cafes where people on benefits are drinking £2 coffees, and then spending £6 on Indian takeaways

Stew Green – I congratulate myself on being a thrifty shopper but your post leaves me dumbstruck – where do you live and where do you shop because I need to up my game (and I do not buy overpriced coffees although I do frequent a friendly local cafe with good tea and chat)?

You have to know where the cheap shelf is
… and what time the stuff goes on it.
It’s quite common to see fresh stuff 90% off these days
cos they are not allowed to throw food in the rubbish much.

Why should they ? Has it become law? Who issues these directives ? Has there been a government edict ? Most of the people do not want to kneel down before an anti-democratic organisation.

That’s exactly why they are doing it now because of the lockdown etc……………….
Antifa, Extinction Rebellion, BLM , pulling statues down, Al Beeb trying to prevent ‘Land of Hope and Glory’, Rule Britannia’, at the Proms , airbrushing our proud history , pulling down statues and the list goes on . Dark, Marxist forces are at work and exploiting the pandemic .
        There’s a backlash coming .

I’m annoyed that they don’t kneel at the end of the 1st half , beginning of the second and full time . I think as punishment they should be deducted points and banned from ever trying to play soccer ball again ….

… in real life of course that dumb nonsense would have gone long ago if real people – crowds – were involved ….

    That’s illegal imigrants.
Twenty years ago this would be considered a ‘Serious Breech of Security’ . A Tory Government would be spurred into action .
Now they are compelled by ‘uman rights’ laws to accept them . That’s human rights laws that put the lives of the people of Great Britain in second place.

A good example of why I don’t see the point of Twitter.

Is the beheading of a teacher ‘truly horrendous’ or President Macron upholding the values of the French Republic?

Virtual captive to Radio 4 on Sunday evening, episode 12 of The Whisperer In Darkness continues to baffle but this week’s episode suddenly tells us that ‘it is like a wizard’s version of Brexit’ several times – the clear implication that they are batty, just like the majority of the UK that voted for Brexit. They just don’t give up do they?

Love In Recovery is award-nominated according to the website but ‘award-winning’ according to the announcer. A load of nonsense, starring Rebecca Front playing Rebecca Front, according to me.

The Hotel, ‘deliciously chilling’? I have heard five episodes now, ‘mind numbing’ more like.

Feedback in which the health correspondent tells us that Donald Trump’s drugs might work. Oh come on! He also tells us to guard our mental health but doesn’t say how,. My advice? Don’t listen to BBC News or Classic FM.

My reason for listening? It gives me an audible clue as to how my time-keeping is doing on a car journey.

Any and all tactics are fair game to discredit a Tory government with the long term intention of getting them voted out.
A statement by the Left Wing group who booked all the seats in a Stadium to scupper Trumps campaign suddenly rang true for me when I heard it and I realised it is a common ethic of them all. The attempts to sabotage democracy if they don’t get what they want and ruin entire country if necessary.

      ‘The ends justify the means’.

Last time I heard that was in an interview with an Islamic terrorist.

Question….why are gym owners in Liverpool being fined for staying open [apparently it can ramp up to £10,000 every three hours] and yet Andy Burnham can keep the whole of Greater Manchester open in defiance of government diktat and not get fined?

How is it that Burnham gets a very easy going interview from Marr even though he claims that his motives are all about the health of the people of Manchester not politics or money when it is blatantly obvious it is politics and money that drive him?

Why is he allowed to say that Sage said Tier 3 wouldn’t work…and miss out the bit where they said what was needed was even stricter restrictions….Burnham trying to say the lockdown is pointless because Sage said it won’t work….however that’s not what they meant.

When he claims the Tories are criticising him from a position of ‘I’m alright Jack’ he’s allowed to get away with that as well as he insinuates that they haven’t had to deal with any problems….in fact the Tories who wrote to him said their areas had also suffered harsh lockdowns and accepted it as he should.

Marr does mention money and that Boris suggested Burnham might be costing lives but he allows Burnham to slip away and doesn’t even try to nail him on what is a huge question….are his actions costing those lives?

Marr is more combative with Gove [when he can get a word in lol….note the instant attempt to defend Burnham…Gove is a good performer even if totally untrustworthy]…unfortunately the video cuts off at 46 minutes….

I have been growing ever more suspicious of the Oxford vaccine since the BBC (and uber-feminist Telegraph) focus for it became a big picture of that woman stood arms-folded like a super-hero saving the world. I began to read headlines like ‘The most advanced vaccine in the world’ which – when you dug into the article – meant only that it was in front for the testing phase. The phrase ‘if it works’ was buried deep in the middle (the BBC cannot directly lie). Then we learn many millions are being given to them ‘at risk’.
Now we are getting small articles telling us ‘It will only work for some people’ and ‘It won’t stop you getting infected, it might just make it not so bad in some cases’.
It makes me wonder just who has benefitted from all that money and if in 10 years someone finally admits it was a placebo which did virtually no good whatsoever. While certain people got very rich. Still -as it’s taxpayers money – the BBC will say it was worth it for the advancement of feminism.
I hope I’m wrong but I’m a bit tired of saying ‘I told you so’ at my age.
