Agreed. But we must not wait for government action on this , we must take the lead ourselves and each individual must stop paying the License Fee.
This government loathes the BBC much more than any since those led by Lady T , but even the greatest PM ever bottled it and let the BBC off the hook when she had it in her sights. This has been the root cause of great damage to our country ever since. But no matter how much the present government loathes the BBC taking the corporation on requires the expenditure of a lot of political capital. They need to be shown the way , the people must take mass action against the BBC and demonstrate to the government that it would be a popular move to take action against it with wide spread public support.
The best and easiest form of direct action is just to cancel your payment arrangements. If enough people do this the BBC will be brought to its knees within weeks and be forced to go cap in hand to the government for money which can be granted on condition that it becomes a subscription only service within a short space of time.
Of course the problem with this is that rather like a disease if any remnant of the BBC survives it can ,with the help of a new Wokist government , be resurrected via state aid. Which is why I would prefer abolition followed by obliteration but that is just not politically possible.

The only way to put pressure on the BBC is to stop paying for the TV licence and to campaign strongly for its abolishment.

Later the BBC can be called out for their anti-British hate campaign, for their disinformation campaigns, for their corrupt practices. It is not just the BBC that is problematic, but it is the BBC that harass and criminalize individuals over the TV licence while flagrantly breaching their charter for impartiality.

      Some are saying
Perhaps a new DG can reform the BBC and it will return to old and be the great institution it once was .
Shouldn’t we give it another chance ?

Two reasons to abolish it .
      1) once that new licence fee agreement is done , give six months or one year tops and it will be the same arrogant , we can insult you , we know best , sneering piece of work .

      2) we have to show what happens when an organisation , a traditional , once loved , comforting always there organisation is hollowed out and Gramscian infected ;is beyond salvation .
Then ” lessons can be learned ” and all the anti democratic – filth – I can only describe them as such , should be rooted out and proper governance and government can work for the people .

Fed, it will seem like a long weekend with the BBC spinning like mad against Brexit but the Bank Holiday was two weekends back. The clock and calendar move far too fast for Snuffy, as well, so here is:

TOADY Watch #1 – the first rule of radio broadcasting is …

….. don’t talk over someone else, especially if they are an invited guest and you are the presenter.

Back in the post-Gilligan era a BBC Director-General made a firm commitment that any BBC employee breaking certain rules would be made to attend a radio journalism school refresher.

It was said (there may be no truth in this story or it may be a fairly accurate account) that one of the first to be caught out was James Naughtie (at the time a TOADY Presenter) who refused to be re-educated on the basis he was too old, far too experienced and far too good a broadcaster to need re-educating. Some .. ahem …. many(?) will quibble on that last point but the story goes, he refused to attend for re-education.

However no action was taken to discipline him and he continues to work for the BBC to this day. All I will say is that are are all sorts of rumours as to why he was allowed to get away with this behaviour.

Back to the present day: is Rick Nobinson in danger of requiring some BBC re-education?

This archive DMail article mentions it as well as the ridiculous Tony Mcnulty who casually estimated 13000 likely East European immigrants.

      https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-361704/The-British-Bias-Corporation.html

Along the way also came across a golden nugget in the form of a quantified report of BBC left wing bias from 2005. It makes for good reading.

At least 15 years of proven bias.
Plus ca change, plus la meme chose.

The slightly good news is that back then, nearly everyone poo-pooed the thought of BBC left wing bias. Now, increasing numbers take it as a given.

    TOADY Watch #2 – mind how you speak . . . …..

A big lesson that UK MPs, especially Ministers are going to have to learn is that when making official statements and announcements, they will be deliberately misquoted by the MSM. President Trump has failed to learn that lesson and it has been an obvious one on this side of the Atlantic from events over the last year, let alone four, in the USA. Possibly even Forum members need to heed it, myself included.

People who are opposed to you politically or who wish to bring you down will selectively quote what you say (or post) even – and especially – if it changes the meaning of what you said or wrote. Oh, hello maxi ….

When Brandon Lewis made his announcement of the Internal Market Bill to the House on Wednesday he said that it breaks the (International) law in ‘some limited circumstances’. Every time I hear this mentioned on the BBC those last three words from Brandon Lewis are never, ever, quoted.

    I wonder why?

Not on the BBC homepage and occupies a very minor position on the BBC news homepage.

Donald Trump in less than four years in political power is doing more for global peace than Obama and those life long politicians such as Joe Biden ever did. Sadly, all this is being hidden from view and ultimately lost because of the overwhelming hate campaign directed at Donald Trump by the liberal media and big business which began back in 2016 when he first announced he would be running for political office.

Here in Britain it is the BBC that has been at the forefront of the anti-Trump hate campaign. Most people in Britain haven’t a clue what Donald Trump’s political policies are, they just think he is a horrible person – and that is entirely down to the disinformation campaign run by the BBC.

Insidious, snide bias was in evidence on the BBC1 6 pm news.

The latest ‘free money’ campaign is for mothers who now ‘deserve’ more maternity rights as they were unable to benefit during lockdown.
Cue an interview with a campaigner. At the end we discover, hey presto, she has ‘joined the Labour Party’ !!!! (does the fact they mentioned this at all suggest they have now been banged to rights?).

Then there was another interview with a female spokesperson. I don’t even know what the topic was – maternity rights, coronavirus maybe…….but crucially it was NOT about the EU !!! An odd thing to write, are you thinking?

Well, no, because that didn’t prevent said female being filmed wearing a flat cap featuring the EU starry flag design !!!!!!

Amazing. What are the chances of that?

Scottish – I’m shocked -are you tipping West Ham to win the Prem.? And I agree that it is more than habit for the EUBBC to downplay any positives with regard to Brexit . Forming alliances with the likes of Japan can only be good . But not when framed by the BBC . I get the feeling your work next week might be ax’proms’ special – or it may be overtaken by events by then .

What if that did happen and I’d called it out. It’s like a magician I once saw on TV doing a mindreading trick where he guessed the card and a few seconds later apologised to 98% of viewers and explained the ‘trick’ to the few that had randomly picked that one.

Maybe I should do some homework and put together a video for next week that is just a list of ‘despitebrexit’ things.

The EU pays scant regard to its own laws, let alone its international obligations-The Government’s actions this week have seriously damaged the reputation of the United Kingdom – at home and internationally. It is of course unsurprising that the EU has immediately started exploiting this for their own purposes. The Government must now listen to the legal advice which they have had for months. They must immediately explain that action is being taken because the EU is in serious and material default of its obligations under the Withdrawal Treaty. It is the EU which is in breach, not the United Kingdom. Following is proposed-“The EU has been in default of its obligations under the Withdrawal Treaty since it was signed and has in effect broken international law.
“The UK Government is left with no choice but to repudiate the Withdrawal Treaty and pass legislation to mitigate the effect of the EU’s breaches, for the sake of the citizens of the UK and the EU27, and to uphold the principles of international law.”
arguments were written by some of the country’s top lawyers experienced in these matters, such as Martin Howe QC, Chairman of Lawyers for Britain, and Barnabas Reynolds, a Partner at Shearman and Sterling, amongst other experienced lawyers in EU matters.
      Their conclusions were stark.
      1. The UK as a state retains its sovereign right to withdrawal from the EU, which is an international organisation
      2. When the UK exercised its right to leave, it participated in the WA process on the basis of an essential condition: agreement on a future permanent arrangement with the EU that enshrines UK sovereignty and secures an FTA
      3. The Protocol and other aspects of the WA are incompatible with the agreement intended for the end of 2020
      4. The EU has been acting in breach of a material term of the WA, meaning that the treaty was entered into on a false premise
      5. The Protocol is in breach of the ECHR principle of the right to vote
      6. The UK must exercise its right to suspend and terminate the WA obligations
      7. The UK must subsequently pass an Act of Parliament superseding the WA, in line with Parliamentary Sovereignty under
      8. Section 38 of the Withdrawal Agreement Act 2020
Big problem for the EU: Their signing of the Withdrawal Treaty committed them to the following:
“The Union and the United Kingdom shall use their best endeavours and, in good faith and in full respect of their respective legal orders, to take the necessary steps to negotiate expeditiously the agreements governing their future relationship referred to in the Political Declaration of 17 October 2019 and to conduct the relevant procedures for the ratification or conclusion of those agreements, with a view to ensuring that those agreements apply, to the extent possible, as from the end of the transition period.”
On the morning of the 24th June 2016 when the result of the UK’s EU Referendum was announced, the then President of the EU Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, proclaimed “This will not be an amicable divorce.” It was obvious from that moment on that the agenda of the unelected EU superstate-fanatics in Brussels would be to punish the British for voting to leave, no matter what.the EU have not only failed to act expeditiously, but have placed every conceivable obstacle in the way of any normal agreement being reached. Let’s stop the prattling and close the door on this subject once and for all.

    TOADY Watch #1 – what has Bojo done … . . . . ?

The Rule of Sick enables every proto-Fascist and existing Fascist in local government 1. to demand more money, 2. to start clamping down, 3. putting up signs threatening people, and, 4. issuing fines left, right and centre.

One or two of yesterday’s newspapers suggested that Matt Hancock insisted on this Rule of Sick in Cabinet but the other 21 Ministers around the table were not so keen. Was the ‘Spoonerism-too-far’ Matt Hancock getting scared that his important job and Ministerial car were at stake if a new burst of Covid-19 started piling up the dead on College Green to be interviewed by ‘Part-time’ for the BBC?

“Who do you blame for this?”

Silence apart from escaping fluids and air.

“Ah, you must be blaming Boris Johnson and Brexit, then. Back now to the studio.”

As an example, the spokesperson or Leader was it, for Leeds City council came on TOADY this morning to answer a leading question from Simon Jack with “Yes, we want more money. We want more powers. We don’t know what all this means yet but we are in discussions with Government about it.”

    Sigh.

Yes, before you ask: she was a wimmin.

    Another sigh.

Good luck to anyone who keeps an eye on the EU UK trade soap opera . As long as the ties are cut at the end of the year is all that matters and the UK will adapt to the aftermath . Trade with the UK matters more to them than us . We will be able to source stuff from elsewhere . And the EU knows it .

We can re establish ties shamefully broken in the Commonwealth when traitor Heath lied his was into the Common Market . And move on .

Meanwhile the prospect of national ‘lockdown ‘ looks more likely if the covid related death rate heads back up rapidly . So furlough into 2021. Schools closed again – more Thursday night clapping for the ‘heroes’ and more NHS ‘morale lifting ‘ videos – and a new PM – if it ends …..

For anyone watching the final Proms – good luck – I don’t do the BBC any more and it’s never been my cup of tea anyway .

I’m sure the other channels are putting on alternatives – but I can guess the ‘ethnic groups ‘ favoured By mainly white ( rightly ) broadcasters .

Once upon a time I used to look at the TV and Radio Schedules . I’m surprised -sometimes – about how such a strong habit can be broken .

. I might , under my Fedup guise , break my own advise and write to TV licencing to tell them why they no longer need to send me menacing letter – but then again – no .
