I have pretty much stopped listening to BBC but R4 this morning.
All I have heard is aggressive anti government narrative..Brexit Covid main vehicles
Grant Shapps being aggressed not interviewed.
I don’t agree with the Govt approach to Covid but discussion is different to aggression…BBC needs to be destroyed…

I doubt if it will make a difference if the BBC goes as the aggressive style of ‘interviewing’ seems to be the norm in the English-speaking world. It is probably taught on journalism courses.

In particular they all want the interviewee to back-track on what they might have said in earlier days.

We had a good example in the US the other day when one of the Whitehouse Press Pack tried to get the Press Secretary to admit that the President had ‘mislead’ the American people by being too upbeat at the start of the Covid Crisis – I am sure the American people really wanted to be told that they would all die!

As listeners we learn more if the interviewee is allowed to talk, eventually they will expose themselves, just batting away the endlessly repeated ‘gotcha’ question is a waste of everyone’s time.

Yesterday I caught a few minutes of Mishal interviewing Matt Hancock – again it was Mishal all sulk and aggressive throwing in a question about Brexit at the end – but of course it was a question that wasn’t really a question just her proving her anti-Brexit credentials.

The less we hear from the duplicitous Mrs May and her acolytes, the better. If the Remainers are so worried about breaking international law perhaps they would prefer my solution as a retired diplomat. Under the Vienna Convention on International Treaties if circumstances change and to abide by a treaty would not be in the national interest, a signatory nation may revoke that treaty. As the EU made no attempt to reach an agreement with us, other than to threaten and stonewall until we caved in and agreed to the status quo, which is not in our interest as it cancels at least three national votes including two elections, let us follow international law to the letter and revoke the Withdrawal Agreement.

ti, be interested in your view of the following. After the result in 2016 and the start of obvious resistance inside Parliament and outside as well, it was suggested that all the Government needed to do – apart from filing the Article 50 notice in Brussels – was to bring to the House legislation to revoke the Bill of Accession 1972. Of course, at the time the Conservatives had a majority and there were plenty of Labour Party supporters for Brexit.

As soon as it was signed by the Queen it would pass into law and make it as though we had never been members of the EEC > EC > EU. In other words, it would exise the authority of the EU from our future, other than being some entity out there to do business with.

      What do you think?

Why cannot that be done for 31 December 2020?

Afaik the European Communities Act 1972 was repealed on Jan 1 when we ‘left’, but parts have been kept in force by the Withdrawal Agreement Act 2020 to allow for EU rules to continue to apply during the transition period. I’m not sure what these ‘parts’ involve but am guessing they do not directly affect the current issue.

TOADY Watch #1 – behind the Government agenda?

Millions of D-i-Y tests being proposed by PM. Test yourself in the morning before going out. Positive for Covid-19? Then you stay home and go back to bed.

The TOADY Presenters are incredulous at the scale and the possible cost of rolling out the scheme. What hasn’t occurred to JustRemainIn Webb and Rick Nobinson is – ‘What if the Government makes the test a commercial one, something that the public has to buy albeit at low cost, but produces 20% VAT on every sale?’

Remind you of another ‘news’ network closer to home?

He plays a leaked recording of a conversation in which one of CNN’s ‘star’ anchors coaches Michael Cohen in how to answer difficult questions in a forthcoming interview.
(Cohen has since published an anti-Trump memoir and regularly graces CNN studios to attack the President.)

How reassuring that our very own beeb would never stoop so low as to groom interviewees… would they?

    Boris.
If you aim to have everyone tested almost every day for covid how about getting daily cancer, flu, heart and other tests as these kill far far more than the covid virus which seems to be weakening every day and most people who have it don’t even know they have it.

I would have thought that as the virus is now so weak it’s the ideal time to get herd immunity as I think more people now die putting their trousers on.

Of course, it would mean less control over the population so it will not happen.

I’ve spoke to people who seriously envisage something along the following lines: You wake up in the morning, perform your daily test(s), the results of which your smartphone or other device sends back to ‘headquarters’. Until this has been done, the front door on your dwelling, controlled by something like Amazon Key or Google Nest, will not open. Likewise, if you actually test positive then it will not open and the authorities are notified (plus presumably Amazon or Ocado arranges food deliveries for the next couple of weeks). All of this can be done today using off-the-shelf components. If only there was the politicial will…

It is easy to criticise these new regulations and yes they make me uneasy. But first we have to remember we could have had Jeremy Corbyn and his crew (Diane Abbot and Dawn Butler) making the decisions.

Boris has Chris Witty and his lot advising and I think it is obvious that they are terrified that a single Covid case can be put down to them. (Can you imagine the screaming in the Press on a single death). We have never been told who made the decision to release patients into the care homes and it is no good saying, as many do, that they should have been tested beforehand – the tests in April (and probably now) are just not accurate.

Boris knows the decisions being taken in other Western countries – especially Europe and it is not easy going against the herd. Just reading this morning on Guido that test and trace in Netherlands isn’t working – but you would never know that from the BBC. As far as the BBC and the dead tree press presents – every country in Europe is making all the right decisions, only Boris is making the wrong ones. Yet that doesn’t explain the steep rise in cases in France.

We all know why this rule of six is being brought in. It will give strength for the police to breakup Extinction Rebellion, BLM gatherings as well as local raves. Now whether the Common Purpose police want to use those powers, we will have to see.

And finally I have read on the internet suggestions that making Boris look weak/ill etc may trigger a coup and then Brexit will have to be delayed. And where I would have once dismissed that as a conspiracy theory – I am no longer sure. Comments on the DM website, Guido etc would make that look as if it is a real plan. Do we really want Prime Minister Hammond?

And finally as evidence that a woman cannot make up her mind. I know that the number of deaths at the moment is low, that most cases at the moment in young people mean that they may not even feel ill. But, I have two friends in different parts of the country with daughters who had the virus many weeks ago – both young women are still far from well, unable to look after their children and finding stairs difficult. Means I wouldn’t want to be one having to make the sort of decision that Boris and Matt are having to make.

      ………

I think we all know that the police will use their powers very selectively as they’ve been doing for a while now, arresting and jailing the right for extremely minor infringements (peeing near a plaque or leaving some bacon near a mosk) while ignoring or paying lip service to major lefty crimes (statue dumped in harbour, cenotaph, huge blm/er gatherings)

And paste in the address of the article into the incognito window box ..I got in free.

But on my browsers if I go to Twitter and get articles from the Times’s journo’s or Telegraph’s own tweets it often comes with a cookie that means the article is free.

but the trick only works for ONE page at a time
To see other pages you ‘d have to close the incognito window and do a different fake new account again.

Journos getting carried away with narratives
    The Hotel owner voyeur
    CONTAINS PLOT SPOILERS

.. Long time journo Gay Talese (84) wrote a book about his 25 year project
and now it’s a Netflix documentary film
”Oh this voyeur hotel owner cooperated over 25 years with the journo, on the premise that the journo must not turn him in”
So the journo Talese wrote up all these stories into a book
including a murder the owner had witnessed.

    ..And then someone said
‘you know for 8 years of the 25 he didn’t own the hotel , so he can’t have seen things then, he only just bought it back a few years ago’
And then Talese goes and checks police records and finds them saying “He told you that we investigated a murder at his hotel, nope we didn’t”

Today a bit of drama in the Twitter playground
David Vance announced his Twitter account had been closed (actually it’s still there, marked suspended)
There a large school bully gang running around there spitting bile at him and attacking his office team’s account to try to get that shut down.
Vance had raised his attention to the mob by attacking the beloved Marcus Rashford by asking him whether black men bore some responsibility for often leaving women to bring up the kids alone.
Context : Rashford’s own tweet was lecturing the MP @kevinhollinrake about how he should speak to black families
      After The MP tweeted
“Where they can, it’s a parents job to feed their children”
You can tell a mob had already been riled cos the MP’s tweet had been ratiod 5,500 to 2,200 likes.

Rashford’s dad hasn’t fed his children, the taxpayer had given them free school meals.
Rashford comes from a family that grew up with only a mother. He grew up estranged from his dad and his dad’s name isn’t on his birth certificate.

Seems Vance didn’t know that when he grew up Rashford’s father had come back into his life and for the last few years has been his trainer and agent.

Celebs always have thousands of followers on Twitter .. so that fueled a mob to attack Vance.
Looks like antifa organised mass reporting ..which triggers account suspension, which is often overruled if a sensible Twitter manager looks into it.

Regarding the wokerati in Hollywood and their mission to destroy the film industry, maybe they should come to the UK to make films in future.

There is a small problem however.

Because of the latest gimmicky way to tackle the covid situation we are only allowed to get together in groups of six or less.
This means that changes need to be made if we want to remake some of the old classics.

    Six brides for six brothers.
    The magnificent six.
    The Disney classic, Six Dalmations.

If the bible stories are remade then we’ll have to make do with six disciples (or five if you include the main man)
Mind, he could keep healing them from Covid although that might be a bit of a let down as they probably wouldn’t know they had it.

Apparently it only works one way, since -apparently- blacks can’t be racist. Of course, if you were to scratch a little to examine conflicts in Africa, you will find a continent full of tribalism and racism.

They also show the same ads as on normal TV, you know, lifetime mortgages, easy cremations etc. Most of the advert actors were white. Is it not racist to have a channel devoted to one colour, and should they not use more bame actors in the ads?

Despite the huge majority in the 2016 Referendum the comments in the HYS are very anti-Brexit. Why so ?

Extinction Rebellions former spokeswoman Zion Lights says Nuclear power ‘only option’

Following the disastrous interview with Andrew Neil last October. Zion Lights was treated to a stark dose of realisation when she was unable to substantiate the ridiculous claims made by the XR co-founder Roger Hallam.
“I could not defend the numbers, but as the official spokesperson nor could I be seen to condemn it. All I could do, instead, was flounder under the hot glare of the studio lights for what felt like an eternity.”

    Reported on the BBC webpage..

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54103163

Of course, Roger Harrabin finds a downside at the end of the report…

BBC environment analyst Roger Harrabin said its key benefit is it helps keep the lights on while producing hardly any of the CO2 emissions that are heating the climate.
However, he said a big environmental problem is what happens to nuclear waste.

So Boris Corbyn, the bottler announces yet more ridiculous uncontrolled spending on something which is unlikely to provide any benefit.

£100 Billion on what he calls the moonshot.
    £106 Billion for HS2
£12 Billion building houses for migrants
    Warm front scheme not quantified.
Then there’s the continued ongoing spending on the covid debacle without an end in sight.

I’m sure I haven’t covered all the spending here, but without a doubt we cannot go on spending this recklessly without the country becoming bankrupt.

Boris has already racked up bills higher than Corbyns Labour mob ever promised, and its getting worse. Migration is reaching ever higher levels and nothing is being done. Even ordinary people are saying that the Tory party cannot continue with Boris as leader for much longer.

No its more fake news in an all out attempt by the BBC and the left wing media in the US to themselves influence the election. Day after day the BBC have a team working to create smears, fakes news, innuendo, allegations in order to demonize Donald Trump. The BBC is a diabolical disgrace.

The BBC ran this as a breaking news story ten minutes ago and it is now headlined across the BBC website.

The BBC have also been dragging up the smear that the Russians influenced the US election back in 2016 and that Donald Trump covered it up. That was yesterday news and it just so happens that that is now followed up with this evenings “breaking news” that the Russians are up to it again. These smears certainly appear to be coordinated.

If I was a ‘foreign power’ and I wanted to screw up the USA and the West I would work to get Biden elected.

Isn’t that what the BBC wants so why are they worried?

BBC WorldService just ran an interview with Yurgen Hartz a German CDU politician wary of accepting more illegals, especially following the fire that destroyed the Gipsy camp on the Greek Island of Lesbos. However apparently Mamma Merkle and the Cheese eating frenchy have brokered a deal to take on the 400 or so unaccompanied ‘minors’ affected by the fire.
I wonder the real age of the minors or if saint Gary of Lineker is offering to help?

Yes exactly each households circumstances are different.
You could have one household in a city where the husbands spends all day in a job with face to face contact with the homeless and the wife also has a different job where she has loads of possible contacts per day.

And then in a remote village you might have 3 blokes who work together on a farm.
It would hardly matter if they got their households together for a kids party with 10 people altogether, cos their world is a kind if bubble anyway.
