Weekend Thread 5 September 2020

This time next week the Biased Far Left failing BBC will be preparing to put out “The Last Night of The Proms”. This year many who watch it will be more attentive to it than ever . Even if the British Conventions are retained lets not forget what those running the BBC wanted to do – in favour of their own personal views -not those of the suffering taxpayer .
The next big national event is Remembrance Sunday . Interfere with that at your peril BBC.

      I’m truly shocked at the language used against our Gary: “Low-life football presenter and Grade-A tosspot… prize-winning prat… snivelling shit-weasel… arse-wipe… f*ck-pig”.

I hope never to hear those expressions repeated on this site, namely “Low-life football presenter and Grade-A tosspot… prize-winning prat… snivelling shit-weasel… arse-wipe… f*ck-pig”.

      Disgraceful.

I agree. I think this comment should be a post-it at the start of all future pages of this blog until Mr Lineker’s reputation is restored.

Because why would Walkers crisps, for example, employ anyone who was any of the epithets you list?

I guess there is always a bit of minor falling out between good people from time to time, but that’s life. The main focus here is that behemoth that takes the taxpayers shilling to fund their opulent lifestyles and to deride and attack everything that is British.

The ‘snowflakes’ and ‘Remainers’ are not happy about the choice of Abbott as a trade advisor.
LGBT and climate change, What on earth have they got to do with Brexit ?
In my humble opinion , Boris should also appoint the man who knows the EU inside out and would ‘run rings’ around the EU negotiators – that’s Nigel Farage.

Then what she tweeted was framed as a conditional: If … then.

This means she is not condoning filling the hotels with refugees – that is what the Government are doing.

She is basically saying if the Government are happy to give taxpayers money to hoteliers (to accommodate refugees) why not do the same to British airlines and help save British jobs.

(Oh, I forgot – they already are.)

Joking aside, Murray points out that the current madness in the US and the UK is in no small measure due to decades of our educational system doing down our country and its history, and depicting it as the cause of all that’s wrong in the world.

The “Red Flag” of Northern Ireland

Royal Navy Flag of Defiance (1647 to 1799). A Red Ensign with a Red Flag in the canton.

In 1689, Colonel John Michelburn raised the “Red Flag”, first on the Royal Bastion, and afterwards on the tower of the Cathedral. On 1 August 1714, to commemorate the Relief of Londonderry, ex-Governor and siege hero Colonel Michelburn hoisted the “Red Flag” on the Cathedral steeple and formed the first club known as the Apprentice Boys. Today the flag of the Apprentice Boys is now a darker crimson colour, with writing and a logo on it.

The BBC has burnt all its bridges with its constant and malicious attack on the indigenous British population, its culture, its history, its values.

In carrying out its anti-British propaganda it has resorted to underhand techniques such as presenting British children with a distorted worldview designed to traumatize them and turn them against their their own parents, grandparents and culture.

It must to be defunded, turned into a subscription only service, and have its British title removed.

All its outputs to date must be archived and made freely accessible to the British public who have paid for it all.

All its assets belong to the British public and the new subscription service must pay a rental on it.

A thorough historical review of the organisation must be had and individuals must be held accountable for monies they have taken in over-inflated contracts, salaries, freebies, perks.

    • tarien says:

On the question of anti-British Propaganda, The politically correct internationalist elites have gone to great lengths to suppress resistance by the native populations to mass immigration and its consequences. The culture and ethnic interests of the minority populations are relentlessly promoted while the culture and ethnic interests of the native populations are suppressed. Any criticism of immigration or its consequences is met with accusations of racism which both the mainstream media/BBC and politicians promote routinely. Punishments are exacted, such as hate-filled media witch-hunts, the loss of a job and, increasingly, criminal charges for saying politically incorrect things about immigration and/or its consequences. The fact that similar though generally lesser punishments are meted out to anyone who it is claimed has breached other aspects of political correctness – most commonly accusations of homophobia and sexism – intensifies the sense of claustrophobia which the imposition of strict limits to what may and may not be said naturally creates.
To the suppression of complaint about mass immigration Western elites have added the denigration of the native cultures from which they have sprung. The histories of countries such as the UK and USA are constantly portrayed as something to be ashamed of. Collective guilt is laid upon the shoulders of the current native white populations (inc children)for the former existence of colonialism and the slave trade. Anything which is praiseworthy in white history is suppressed or diluted by ahistorical claims that it was not really the work of the whites, or that if it was whites who were responsible they were only able to produce the praiseworthy thing because of white oppression of non-white peoples. Any expression of national feeling by the native white populations is immediately decried as nationalism at best and racism at worst. Oh indeed this Corporation has much to answer for and to.

It’s wishful thinking on their part. How many times have polls been oh so wrong . The MSM force people to tell pollsters what they think pollsters want to hear -,as it were – but once in the privacy of the ballot room reality steps up – subject of course to corrupt practices in certain states with postal votes et al …. I’m still thinking of risking a tenner on mr Trump although a bit of me is wondering with the democrats will retire Biden in the run up to the election ‘for health reasons ‘ to go for the sympathy vote – they might even kill him off if that helps . ….

This is an example of Zurcher not reporting on the news but imposing his own political opinion over it.

What right has Zurcher to demand that Russia and Vladimir Putin be criticized by the US President?

Zurcher is playing politics and in his pro-Democrat, anti-Trump partisanship is demanding Russia be antagonised with false Democrat claims, which could lead to retaliation, a trade war, people losing their jobs, lives being lost.

But Zurcher is oblivious to all that. He takes the British taxpayers shilling, lives a comfortable life and uses his position to control the narrative.

Zurcher should have been sacked along time ago along with the rest of the BBC.

The Daily Telegraph today delivers to us a front page with a pic of a mischievous-looking Gary Lineker and sub-heading informing us that Gary and ‘…other outspoken stars have been told by the BBC they will not be bound by Tim Davie’s impartiality rules…’

As you digest that report we turn to the ‘i’ where Jo Brand tells us of her ‘favourite dish’ – that would be battery acid, as I recall.

The Daily Star entertains us with a story about ‘Psycho ghosts, Kray twins hauting old nick’ – they’ll be about the last white working class family ever to be spotted in the East End – but I jest.

I mention the extortion-minded terrible twins, not just as a welcome change from Meghan and Harry stories, but as a link to this report in the Mirror ‘We must save our chemists, call for action as 72% of family-run shops face ruin’ – link to the Krays, you ask?

Well, entre nous (and I probably ought to save this one for my Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner posts – which will be back soon, promise) I heard on good authority that when a new-built supermarket belonging to a certain chain moved into a certain district, that they approached the local family-run chemist shop and made the owner an offer he couldn’t refuse – so as to clear the way for their own pharmacy department. Not that they literally put a gun to his head, just made a six figure offer that made it worth his while to retire.

Caitlin Moran in the Times magazine tells all about ‘My wild day with Britain’s coolest farmer’ – that’s farmer not pharma.

Whereas in the ‘i’ we read the leader of the Labour Party has ‘poll setback despite PM’s tricky summer’ – that’s Starmer.

Maybe there’s some good news afterall, the Telegraph suggests ‘EU to sideline Barnier in last push for deal’

The Express shrieks ‘Boris: Britain WILL prosper out of the EU’

And the Guardian snootily snarks ‘PM appoints ‘misogynist’ Abbott as trade advisor’

The Guardian, clearly on the back foot this morning, further moans how ‘Thousands flouting quarantine say Police’

But where’s the female celebrity story?

The Star has ‘Paris: lovers hit me’ – that there is a tautology – read your urban dictionary, as in “really, Paris Hilton, did you hit that?”

The Guardian of course has ‘Jane Fonda ‘if Greta can do it so can I”

Think up your own epitaphs for our Hanoi Jane of whom the Guardian is quite Fonda…

I’m in positive mood and switch it around concerning old time female celebs to say The Guardian is the Marie Antoinette of the UK media.

Not BBC but well within their sphere of statism.

On Toady this morning a telling moment.

Knobson ‘interviewed’ the Union leader of the most senior civil servants, known as the First Division Association. Imagine the power of his members to ensure inaction.

He opposes any government pressure to have his members actually turn up to work in person. I can imagine them going into their offices with tape measures. ‘It’s only 1.95m between the desks. All out, lads’. But I digress.

On two occasions he said in terms ‘if the government asked the private sector to do this, he would get very short shrift’.

His words and tone of voice gave away his feeling of utter disdain for the private sector. This is the sector remember that creates the wealth that keeps his members in their well-paid, gold-plated pension, rock solid job secure jobs – a sector that itself, but for a tiny minority, has none of those things. The callousness of his remarks was reprehensible.

So that is what the top of the civil service think of the private sector.
I think the phrase required is ‘Drain the Swamp’.

News that is worthy of news.
A British man not treated quite as well as an illegal immigrant breaking the law.

Steve Laws, one of the chaps that has been heroicaly filming the immigrant invasion down in Kent was arrested. He took one of the abandoned dinghies the other day, went out for a spin on the water & used it to do some more filming of the RNLI people-trafficking operations.

His phone and camera were confiscated and he spent 16 hours in a cell. This is the charge:

“On 02/09/2020 at Dover in the county of Kent, without the consent of the owner, or other lawful authority, took a conveyance, namely RHIB (rigid hull inflatable boat) with outboard engine for the use of yourself or another

TOADY Watch #1 – still not asking the Covid-19 questions …

Do the BBC really want to keep the British public who still listen to R4 and TOADY (a shrinking number by all accounts) in the dark about Covid-19?

JustRemainIn Webb interviewed Prof Ann(e) Johns(t)on(e) this a.m. and he very obviously skirted around asking Prof Johnson whether there were definite signs that the Covid-19 virus has mutated and mutated to affect young people more but in a less serious way than heretofore.

Yes, I know there probably wasn’t time on another badly organised BBC N&CA prog to ask three extra questions. But people out there (ie. me!) want to know and some very highly paid people at the BBC are not really doing their jobs at all well.

TOADY Watch #2 – another question unasked … but a chance to take a pop at UK Government – whoopeee!

The BBC fail to ask why HMG is reluctant to introduce testing at airports and ‘other points of entry’ into the UK. We – esp. on Biased BBC – suspect we know why. It might be good if the BBC were forced into asking that question.

As far as airports are concerned it would highlight where the infections are and who is carrying them. That could be unfortunate and embarrassing and cause pressure for more restrictions on some countries.

The same is true for sea ports.

Then there are ‘the other points of entry’ and beaches, mostly in Kent. And that might lead to all sorts of difficulties and costs with Human Rights lawyers circulating like sharks smelling blood and British taxpayers increasingly putting pressure on HMG and the Home Sec for ‘something must be done’.

    Elephants in the room.

Indeed, Deborah, with anything like that you need to ask the ±% Error. I was amused to be offered back in the Spring, one of those non-contact temperature reading devices discounted from somewhere in £1300s to something like £1150. Memory is a little hazy on exact pricing & discount.

What the memory is not hazy on is my checking of the item’s specification including it’s error reading: it was ± 2° in the Centigrade range which meant it was entirely useless for measuring potential Covid-19 carriers. I had a vision of these things being bought by every council and authority and security firm up and down the country with no regard as to whether they could actually do the job.

Hoo fire: ‘Huge explosion’ as fire rages at industrial unit

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-54023852

A large fire has broken out in an industrial building and people have been evacuated from the nearby area.

One resident of Hoo Marina, close to the blaze on Vicarage Lane, described hearing a “huge explosion” and an eyewitness said the “place shook”.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said about 200 people were removed from the area and advised others to keep windows and doors closed.

Crews are to stay at the site overnight after the blaze started at 04:40 BST.

The flames could be seen from miles around, but no-one was injured.

Investigators are yet to establish how the fire started.

Mark Woodward, the incident commander for the fire service, said the building was used to store animal welfare equipment and some Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders had exploded in the blaze.

Well said Denis Welch-reference the P Morgan Breakfast Show- she says Fearmongering-apart from telling us all how many people have died as a result of Covid 19, tell us how many have survived, how many have proved negative and so on.
If your health function is good – as in the majority – we think a much bigger threat to you – to all of us – is the gamut of human and particularly government mandated responses to the virus. The central impact of these actions is on businesses, livelihoods and economies. And it’s of course businesses and economies that provide the livelihoods that allow societies to function. It’s remarkable really that so many have just gone along with it all – buying into the narrative handed to them by the media and governments. Perhaps that’s beginning to change with the number of protests that are going on around the world.
There’s no doubt as we move towards the possibility of further local lockdowns and knee-jerk reactions to rising R numbers in the absence of hospitals being overrun with covid patients – that the protests could create a deep and dangerous divide in societies.
Oppressive Measures Worldwide, Obedience and Acceptance…
Globalized fearmongering. It fits an agenda, a huge sinister agenda. What is that agenda? Instruments of the New World Order.

Fed, the idea that lurked behind that Childrens Trust Fund, I think, was to privatise Secondary Education and get it off the Treasury books and out of the governmental hair. Labour under Blair had successfully fully Americanised University Education. They did the same with a small chunk of the NHS – about 5% if I recall correctly – and they planned to do more privatising had the voting public been compliant in 2010.
