Start the Week 31 August 2020

The eve of the Tim Davie era . Will Mr Davie be the last chairman of the failing Far Left BBC in its current Marxist campaigning form ? Lets hope so. Apparently his first speech will be on Thursday when he will talk about ‘impartiality ‘ and keep a straight face – which is why he is paid the big bucks .
Meanwhile there are plans afoot to have a new British Broadcaster …

What’s the “comedy”? One of those woke lot claiming that maths is inherently racist or that we should ban reading in case any kids are later exposed to ideas? I have a colleague who keeps virtue signalling this rubbish because it hasn’t affected him yet but I’m waiting with anticipation for his reaction when the Guardian demands a ban on cricket (‘imperialist’) or his local authority bans shops from selling wine on the off chance that someone from the mosque complains.

Of course the Indian population will never complain about cricket but it only takes 2 or 3 loud and guilty white student activists to make the likes of the BBC ban/cancel things on behalf of people from Sudan. As with the LGBT vs Islam debate, the hypocrisy will forever remain unexplained.

So the unions are getting ready to take industrial action if the government “forces” people back to work then.

So who do they think have been manufacturing their food, manning the stores, generating their power, catching their fish, emptying their bins etc. etc. For the past few months or do only London office workers and teachers and lecturers matter?

Just more anti Boris shit as per usual. Absolutely disgusting selfish behaviour.

And how long do they expect the people who ARE going to work pay for their upkeep?

TPA Talks. Interview Barry Hearn Sports Commentator ‘Slams the BBC’

The TPA support all of us taxpayers against the BBC TV license and its virtual monopoly of UK Radio and TV. The BBC is well past its own sell by date.

PLUS: Find out which QUANGO’s (like the BBC) should also be axed and why…

These include: Channel 4, Covent Garden Market Authority (CGMA), Pay review bodies, British Business Bank (BBB), National Citizen Service (NCS), Social Science Research Committee (SSRC), Low Pay Commission (LPC), Literature Wales, Design Commission Wales, Creative Scotland.

TPA are asking for more to be put on this list to which could save the country billions £. There are literally hundreds of Quangos set up by Blair and Brown across the country, waiting for Corbyn to emerge triumphant. Alas no more need for these civil service left overs.

    Bonfire of the Quangos!

Sorry but i have a jaundiced view about quango burning – politicians announce them every so often but they perform the same function as the Lords –
Bribes and rewards for bubble members – makes people feel important – fees – expenses – staff – car – so they get cut but then grow back …

Fedup2, not quite sure I agree with your there. The house of Lords should be posted by people that have delivered something for this country in terms of pubic benefit for (say) ten years stay. If we ad a clause that we can un-elect them by public vote that will focus the mind into a better second chamber. In my humble opinion, it needs reform as does the BBC.

Philip, I seem to recall that Francis Maude as a Minister, with David Cameron’s approval, made a commitment to that effect way back in the autumn of 2010.

It never happened. I see that in 2012, Maude claimed that 106 had gone. But c/o Parliament UK …. “HOW MANY QUANGOS ARE THERE? Quango is not an official term and establishing how many there are depends on the definition used. The Cabinet Office … ”

I think there are more in existence now than existed in 2010. Some estimates suggest 1200 ie. DataBlog in the Guardian of all places. That is 300 more than in 2010.

    Further to Stewgreen at 2038.

We alighted by chance on the BBC 4 programme ‘African Renaissance- when art meets power-Kenya’ presented by a not unattractive lady called Adua Hirsch.

It is unquestionably the most concertedly anti-British, racist, hatchet job I think I have ever heard and seen in a long time.

There is not one iota of even pretence of balance. Her tone of voice, sneers, and smiles tell us she absolutely hates the British and everything they did in Kenya. Her bias extends to her sneering of modern tourists buying momentos of African animals made of wood. FFS. A modern building in Nairobi that looks like the Birmingham rotunda is celebrated. Everything post independence is wonderful.

I once looked up definitions of racism. The one I remember is ‘an inherent belief in the superiority of one race above another’. Adua falls straight into the trap, glorying in various tribal aspects, cultures, skills, and by definition decrying others, especially anything British.

What’s not mentioned by this disgustingly biased load of cr** is this. We have three very good female friends who came to Britain from Kenya. They all came AFTER independence.

Not quite the narrative or the vote of confidence that would suit Adua or her BBC paymasters.

But why am I watching? Because, being broad minded, I am quite happy to be informed, entertained, and educated. But all the seditious BBC want to do is propagandise and brainwash.

The situation re Covid is slowly revealing its real incarnation. The governments of the World and the UK in particular have backed themselves into a corner. The last word now has been wholly placed into the hands of the scientific class. A class who are virtually 100% left wing. Everything they say is the law. No dissent is allowed. Common man has been conditioned by the MSM in particular by the BBC to accept this. The penalty for disagreeing is ridicule and unpersoning. Common man is obliged by peer pressure to support them in every way or face ostracism.

The police and local authorities bow down to their every command and are therefore already lost. The government are stupefied by the creature they have unleashed.

We need to reject all they stand for and stand up for sanity or risk oblivion and slavery. We need bravery and iron will. It is now the only way to smash this slide into a future in chains.

Yes. I agree with some it. I still cannot understand the events of March and April other than a panic in the West induced by a belief that covid was a bioweapon attack . The rest of the world just went along with it. The Chinese must be laughing .I now think it was an accidental leak maybe but in no way deliberate although the CCP made the best of it.
The resultant mess is where we are.
The tendency to attribute agency to governments as if they are infallible is never one that history bears out.

    More Telegraph wind –

‘The BBC’s new director-general is planning to tackle perceived Left-wing bias in the corporation’s comedy shows, the Telegraph can disclose.

Tim Davie believes the BBC’s comedy output is seen as too one-sided and needs a radical overhaul in the coming months, senior sources revealed.

The BBC has long faced accusations that its comedy shows on radio and television are unfairly biased against the Tories, Donald Trump and Brexit.

In his first speech as director general on Thursday, Mr Davie will set out plans to restore “trust and confidence” in the BBC by better reflecting all sides of the political divide.

Part of the measures could see a number of shows axed, but senior sources at the BBC stressed that no decisions had yet been made, adding that Mr Davie would only set out a “direction of travel” in his speech.

However, it is expected that some of the worst-offending shows will be taken off the schedules in the longer term, senior sources said.‘>..

It goes on a bit but it looks like there could be chunks of 30 minutes of silence where their ‘comedy’ programmes used to be …. but I doubt it – the BBC is far to infested to change .

So no ‘balance’ at all, just 2 Trump opponents given a very friendly questioning – actually being fed lines in some instances. You can even hear our Katty making cooing, sympathetic noises in the background during the long, uninterrupted replies.

The BBBC have a special room, where bias is injected into everyone who ‘works’ there – it’s sound=proofed, and has some sort of rap noise coming from speakers everywhere.

The ‘worker’, or autocue reader sits in a comfy chair and is told to nod, and an electric current is fed into their bums when anything non-woke is mentioned.

A little girl was leaning into a lion’s cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, all under the eyes of her screaming parents:

A biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain, the lion jumps back, letting go of the girl, and the biker brings the girl to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

BBC reporter, Emily Maitlis, had watched the whole event.

Emily, addressing the Harley rider says. “Sir, this was the most gallant and bravest thing I’ve seen a man do in my whole life.”

The Harley rider replies. “Why, it was nothing, really. The lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right.”

Maitlis. “Well, I’ll make sure this won’t go unnoticed. I’m a BBC journalist, you know and tonights news will run this story.

So, what do you do for a living, and what political affiliation do you have?”

The biker replies. “I’m an ex British Army veteran, a Conservative and I voted for Brexit.”

    Maitles leaves quickly.

My wife was face-timing her brother this evening, wishing him a happy birthday. He’s in his late forties and a partner in a firm of solicitors in Central London. He is single, lives in Brixton, enjoys travel, bit of a bon viveur, loads of disposable income, a few celebrity friends and aquaintances. He’s good and generous company.

He also reads the Guardian, holidays with his ex-partner and their daughter in her family property in France every year and spends a fortune on trying to look as if he hasn’t. He’d certainly be considered left-leaning politically but luckily his Ulster Protestant heritage provides some much needed balance, and this conservative side of him has become much more noticeable in recent years.

He has long been an avid Radio 4 listener, falling asleep with it on at night and listening to it even more while he’s been on furlough. Well, he did. Not now.

His first words to me this evening were, ” I cancelled my TV licence yesterday”. Why? “I was listening to the radio the other evening when a programme about code-switching amongst black professionals came on. I’m tired of it, had enough. I’m tired of being blamed for everything simply because I’m white and male, they never let up. I’ve cancelled the licence”. He’s been considering it for the last couple of years apparently. Fair play to you mate I say.

Now if people like my brother-in-law are deserting the bBBC, and for the right reasons as well in his case, then surely they must be aware of it, surely they must realise that they really are on a downward spiral?

No, probably not, but by the time they do realise hopefully it’ll be too late anyway. If it isn’t already.

Initially puzzled, but after thinking carefully, I have worked out how it could be possible to decolonised the British Library.

First, London would have to be freed from British Colonial rule, becoming the Islamic Republic of Londonistan, under President Sadiq Aman Khan.

Then a decolonised British Library would have to be renamed Londonistan Library. Simples.

US President Donald Trump has defended his supporters for their alleged roles in recent deadly street clashes. He also suggested a teenager charged with killing two people during protests against the police shooting of a black man, Jacob Blake, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, appeared to have been acting in self-defence. White House challenger Joe Biden earlier condemned the violence at recent protests while blaming Mr Trump for making the country unsafe.

BBC News on-line provides most of the UK press front pages and presents us with some delicious juxtapositions.

The Telegraph, rather wistfully, suggests: ‘New director general threatens to axe ‘Left-wing’ BBC comedy’
We’ll believe that when we don’t see it.

Meanwhile the more down-to-earth Daily Star warns: ‘School crack-down, cough and you’re off! Pupils to be suspended for covid jokes’ That sounds about right.

The Daily Mail (among other papers) puts up a pic of ‘Adele at centre of storm over her African hairstyle’

Whilst the Guardian flies the flag for booby black footballer Marcus ‘Rashford’s new goal: to tackle UK food poverty’

Cultural Appropriation..? Another one of those one-way streets where only white people can be accused of transgression. What could be more English than football and school dinners we wonder?

Throw us more juxtapositions you say. I’ll try but it might be a little forced (like Adele into her Jamaican bikini).

The Mirror asserts ‘Britain’s Got Talent is back’, this country has talent? One begins to doubt it in light of the ‘i’ telling us: ‘Schools face huge test to help pupils catch up’ Not so bright then.

The Telegraph has: ‘Pupils face exam delay next summer’ whereas the Mail cautions: ‘The Diabetes Revolution: ‘Adults could be set target weight’ Yep, treat the kids like snowflakes and the adults like kids… how did we get to this?

Mark Wallace in the ‘i’ perhaps gives us a clue: ‘Quangos not politicians, are the problem’

Reinforcing the notion that our leaders have lost it, the same virtual organ has ‘Back to the office? Minister admits he has no target for staff’

What, not even a weight target?

Viz comic once did a one off comic strip about a far left comedian. If I recall correctly, his routine was basically just saying “Thatcher… what a c***” repeatedly. Later on some Tories offered him a lot of money to do an after dinner routine and he just changed his routine to “Gordon Brown… what a c***”.

I can imagine the likes of Nish Kumar doing likewise to maintain a steady BBC pay packet.

Edit: the Viz character was called Lenny Left and his Conservative Club routine at the end was a sexist and homophobic one (not one about Gordon Brown).

The violence has come amid widespread, largely peaceful anti-racism protests

Lines drawn on law and order
    Aleem Maqbool, BBC News, Kenosha

Throughout the summer, President Trump has referred to those taking to the streets across America as looters, rioters, anarchists and thugs. That is even though most of the demonstrations calling for an end to racial injustice, and to police brutality, have been peaceful.

But with the aggressive messaging on law and order coming from the White House, the battle lines have been drawn on this issue – one we will be hearing much more of over the next nine weeks.

The trainee beautician was knocked to the ground by Dada, falling on to the knife in her Versace handbag which she herself had brought to the confrontation in Camberwell on July 12, 2018.’

The best that they can say is public schools seem to have not fallen far behind, whereas government schools generally seem to be worse

#Blackwar intensifies: Black on White Attacks: Roll Call of victims:
‘South Africa Today’ News reports what MSM in SA and elsewhere will NOT report.
Glenn 63, and Vida 69, on their farm ‘Normandien’ were executed on 29 August. Nothing was taken, so it was apparently not a robbery. They were shot on arrival after an evening out.
Five black attackers broke down the door of Hilton Dowdall’s house, and stabbed him to death.
I shall not go on. There is on this page a long litany of attacks, assaults, brutality against whites in SA. This is a regular, daily pattern, designed -presumably- to drive whites out of their country.
While MSM ramble on about ‘white racism’, these killings and assaults, thousands since 1994, go completely unreported, as they don’t fit the ‘liberal’ narrative of ‘white man bad’, ‘black man victim’.
Unlike the ‘racism’ Afua Hirsh and the likes of David Lammy ramble on about, this is unfortunately usually a lot worse than ‘giving offense’; this is frequently fatal, often involves the most brutal torture and assult, and is NEVER reported by the MSM, either in SA or US/Britain/Europe.

The irony is that CNN and BBC will ramble on for months, endlessly repeating the George Floyd and Jacob Blake mantras, while entirely ignoring fresh racially-motivated murders every day in South Africa. I do wonder whether there are a number of stages that come before the farm attacks and daily murders of whites on farms. First is the saturation media coverage of ‘white injustices’ towards blacks, and black suffering (was like that in SA; now in the UK and Europe?)

Having engendered white guilt, the next stage might be the inflow of large numbers of ‘migrants’ to reduce the ratio of white to black in the UK, coupled to increasing campaigns by those already here (e.g. BLM) to ramp up white guilt. That is already happening.

Over years, as the numbers game changes, it does not become fanciful to imagine attacks on white farms in the UK, for any pretext conjured up; racist /’unequal’ land distribution comes to mind.

(Rhodesia/Zimbabwe should have been a warning to whites in SA, but -presumably due to the much larger numbers of whites in SA- this would have been dismissed as fanciful).

It is interesting to note that this year, the number of white births in the US was reputedly below that of other races. Another version of the story is that there are already fewer whites adults in the US than ‘others’. Whether either of these reports is true, I don’t know, but BLM have suddenly become very bold. The one truth seems to be that the numbers game will always be decisive.
