Midweek Thread 26 August 2020

Angry ? The Far Left BBC changing the format of the Last Night of the Proms ? Well the First Night of The Proms is this Friday 28th August . Some might say ‘best avoided’ whilst the Far Left BBC appeals to its ‘target ‘ audience .
In passing – it is 10 weeks until Furlough is due to end – so we can expect a BBC campaign to extend it to ‘forever’ .

If I was Dominic Cummings and wanted to test the water about the public’s opinion of Al Beeb, I would take a ‘shufti’ of this site .
I would act as a devils advocate and note the replies given. Then use the best of them to sink Al Beeb. Has anyone spotted such a candidate on this site ?

Taffman – It would be nice to think that they do – but to be perfectly honest though Cummings appears to be a slight outsider I dont really think they give a SH 1T about our opinions. He is also a member of the ruling political class and he would be more than aware of the corrupt, deceitful, biased, treacherous conduct of this disgusting excuse for a broadcaster. But in reality they dont care.

This has been going on for years and the BBC is central to the Covid fiction (which Cummings has signed up to) something which this government will stand or fall by.

The reality is – is that we are on our own, repeatedly undermined by a self perpetuating, corrupt, pro globalist ruling class that is wiling to send anyone to the dogs in order to protect itself (see Tommy Robinson etc).
Unless people start to wake up bloody quick, we are pretty much stuffed and will be left fighting for our self respect only as everything else that identified us as British will be swept away.

I like to think of the BBC as the both the mouth and arsehole of these illegitimates.

Covid or not, he can still use a laptop. Some say that Cummings has a vendetta against Al Beeb?
Put yourself in his position, where would you test the public’s perception about Al Beeb’s bias ?

If it suits the ruling elite the BBC will be sacrificed. Or bought. Or brought to heel. Cummings is no friend of a free man or nation. I would like to have seen him fall because he cannot be trusted. LIkewise Johnson. A rich member of the ruling class masquerading as a common man. Now Enoch Powell could be trusted. Even Benn could be trusted despite his weird views as he would always defer to the democratic will . The last politician I feel qualified was Mrs T and they got her in the end.
We are on our own. In truth we always have been except for the occasions when we were needed to fight their wars and die for them ..

Fresh into my inbox, a tweet from the Washington Post.

When will Trump be held responsible for the horrors he creates?

    https://twitter.com/i/topics/news/e-1190645225?cn=ZmxleGlibGVfcmVjcw%3D%3D&refsrc=email

Yes that all-American newspaper pushes a venomous hit job on Trump and anyone who dares to suggest that Antifa, BLM etc. are not nice people.

If you read the story it claims the Police rolled up at a peaceful gathering where some admirable Americans were simply warming themselves by setting fire to anything they could.

Then hey ho, some young chap who thought this was wrong, faced them with a gun to try to protect the buildings and cars as they had already burned dozens of cars and buildings,

Understandably this upset the young folk having a social gathering so they tried to run him down to beat the shit out him, So he started shooting.

The young man then gave himself up to the police.

The Washington Post want him sent to the chair along with Trump who personally sent him to do it because they are both white supremacists.

I am pretty sure that most Americans can see right though this shit and will call it out in the election.

I predict it will be Trump 2020 all the way unless “someone” pays someone to get rid of him which is not out of the question. It’s happened before!

In a fair society the young lad would be given a medal for facing the thugs down alone.

Article penned by Nigel Farage regarding the Enemy – published in the Telegraph –

‘ It has been a torrid few months for Britain’s silent majority.

For those of us who believe in the rule of law, in our great tradition of free speech, and in the very existence of our nation, the events following the terrible death in Minneapolis of George Floyd in May have left us without voice.

We have either been silenced or, in some cases, “cancelled”, the term now used to describe a person who has been thrust out of a social or professional circle for expressing an opinion. It is the modern version of sending someone to Coventry.

This week’s row over the Last Night of the Proms, in which the BBC has – absurdly – insisted that the words of Rule, Britannia! and Land of Hope and Glory cannot be sung on 12 September is just the latest chapter in this summer of discontent.

Perhaps by making this ghastly mistake, however, the BBC has unwittingly opened up the possibility of everybody having a more rational conversation about British history, culture and values. Indeed, I wonder whether this crazy decision marks the moment at which the majority say: “Enough is enough.”

Why, after all, should a small minority of the population who hold an extremist view dominate our national debate? Since when did a properly functioning society prosper by implementing topsy-turvy policies? And why should the rest of us be dictated to just because some people don’t like something?

Millions of us watched in horror a few months ago as Churchill’s statue was defaced in Parliament Square and the Cenotaph was desecrated. We were also subjected to those dreadful pictures of a mob tearing down a public statue of Edward Colston in Bristol and depositing it into a dock. Yet some of those who have stood up to criticise these reckless, anti-democratic factions have lost their jobs and in some cases been labelled ‘racist’.

My own comments on some of these outrages may well be a reason that I am no longer an LBC presenter, though I choose not to denigrate a former employer.

When I appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain in June to explain that the Black Lives Matter movement is not about racial equality but instead has a Marxist agenda to overthrow the established order and to defund the police, I was called a liar. The programme’s increasingly ‘woke’ presenter, Piers Morgan, seemed very happy with this situation. I find it surprising that a man of his intelligence cannot or will not acknowledge these facts.

I know that the forces of conservatism have been in retreat for years, without anybody giving a voice to their opinion. Yet in the country at large – that place known as Middle England – people are increasingly perplexed. Why will nobody stand up and say that Britain abolished slavery more than 200 years ago, and that the Royal Navy spent 50 years driving out this appalling trade? Why will no one say that far from being a racist country, Britain is an fair-minded nation that has managed its relationship with its former colonies in a manner that is unrivalled in history and has led to the Commonwealth of Nations? These questions have troubled many people since the spring.

It does feel as though a lot has changed in recent days. Perhaps a tipping point has been reached.

Thanks to the increasingly unloved BBC choosing to take its lead from a politically correct Proms conductor from Finland, Dalia Stasevska, it has essentially told the licence payers who fund it to be ashamed of who we are, to hate our culture, and to rewrite our history.

Yet to this public opinion has overwhelmingly said: “No.” Thousands have signed petitions calling for the Last Night of the Proms to be reinstated. A proper debate has been stirred. And, at last, the Prime Minister seems to have sided with the people, speaking some common sense words about the episode and lambasting the BBC for its handling of the affair. He was quite right to do so. Why should we apologise for who we are?

I was very surprised when ITV’s This Morning programme invited me on yesterday to have a debate with an activist from the Black Lives Matter movement – somebody who, incidentally, is also a prominent Remainer (isn’t it funny how Remainers always seem to support every negative view of British history?)

For once, I found myself in this mainstream media setting being treated not as the villain, but as the voice of the majority. The presenter, Eamonn Holmes, who compered the debate, even pointed out that 90 per cent of his viewers thought that Rule, Britannia! and Land of Hope and Glory should not be axed.

For his efforts, Mr Holmes is now also being condemned as “racist” in some quarters. This doesn’t really matter, though, because it is obvious that most people are with him on this issue. The worm has turned. When even our left-of-centre broadcasters are waking up to the opinions of their own viewers, it does feel as though some lost ground is being made up.

Let’s be honest about it. Britain is the most tolerant country in the world. We believe in democracy, law, and decency. No longer should any of us be silent in the face of this attempted Marxist-sponsored cultural revolution. The stand has now been taken, albeit thanks to the BBC’s cack-handedness.

To quote an old favourite comedy programme, ‘Allo ‘Allo! : “Listen very carefully, I will say this only once…thank you BBC.”

Having wondered about central London for the first time in a very long time today I’m pondering what will happen to all the guest workers when the jobs dry up – which I’m now thinking will happen .

Previously I believed there would be a V recovery but now – I don’t think so – confidence has gone – discounted dinners appealed to the few – in my view – and it will take a lot more to jump start a dead economy and I don’t know that the government has the economic power …

I have suspected that there is a lot more behind the draconian pandemic restrictions than we think. I firmly believe that there are strong global forces behind the constant wobbling and tipping of the scales most notably within the WHO.

There are many in the WHO who hold a global view and would wish to bring about a “rearrangement’ of global power, diminishing the powers of individual states towards a World dominated by one central power.

So the more they can constantly intervene and cripple western economies the better it is for their ultimate goal, Hence the arbitrary changing of the rules and advice to keep individual governments on the hop and restricting their citizens and their economies further and further.

They know that all governments are scared stiff of going against the mantra in case they end up as the bad guys. This plays sweetly into their hands.

So my conclusion is not that Covid is fake but that it is being massively amplified to help the Global cause.

In fact this is Global Marxism taking power by stealth.

The only thing that might upset this plan is if so many citizens end up struggling with no jobs, declining services etc. that they cease to care and rise against the regulations.

Perhaps we might see that starting now as high street chains begin to shed staff.

Those many people who imagine a bright comfortable future working from their homes will be shocked when the remote Company suddenly crumbles and there are no others to jump to.

At the same time Governments will be forced to drastically cut benefits as the cash dries up.

In fact a re-run of the 1930’s and we all know where that ended up!

It will then be a choice for individual governments, either plow back into action regardless of the pandemic or go silently into the night.

As for the UK, it’s your choice Boris!

Look at Worldometer site. In country after country the fatality rate is going down and has been doing so since April /May. A few countries peaked in June. That is the case fatality rate which is as far as I can see a relatively real number. That is the people are actually dead. The logarithmic scales all show a flattening.
To keep the charade up the infection rate is being used . AS that is unreliable and false positives are common that is why.
My conclusion. The virus was spreading unchecked in Europe as early as December.
It has now weakened in that the viral load is less.
The % who have had it is not really known but could be substantial.
The governments panicked. The health services also.
We have used better treatments and earlier.
The lockdowns made no sense and have effectively wrecked the economies of us and other countries.
It makes no sense unless you start to listen to those who say it is an attempt to reset our world not theirs in a way that the elites want.
It has not exactly all gone their way. The switch to home working I do not think they thought would be as popular and last so long. The Daily Mail is working hard to try and reverse this. No doubt the collapse that is coming in rents and city commercial property has concentrated minds. Their editorial made no sense on Thursday. Demanding the enforcement of masks is not sensible if you want a people to feel comfortable shopping. This seems Johnsons’s policy as well. It is insane.

BBC Proms refused to confirm or deny the story.
    “We are still finalising arrangements”

This was an excellent discussion. Which highlights that the root cause of all our major problems, mass immigration is the key long term one, is down to the UK and all it’s constituents parts being run by Globalists who are keen to destroy borders and countries and see mass migration as a tool to do so. Even the SNP are Globalists seemingly keen to establish a border with England but only because the English want to leave the globalist EU.

Ah something I hadn’t realised, and a cause to put a bottle of fizz in the chiller tonight is that tomorrow is the appalling Lord Hall Halls last day at the BBC (although he will continue to be a millstone around their neck in the form of his pension).

He has shockingly suggested that the TV tax be made compulsory for anyone who owns or rents a home, and that people who are in higher council tax bands should be made to pay more for the drivel, even if they don’t own a TV set !

Either this man is seriously deluded about the state of the corporation he has run, or it really is desperation stakes as revenue continues to fall.

The best outcome for the BBC would in their view to be funded from general taxation and so they could be as profligate as they wished with zero accountability. This would of course be the worst possible outcome for the people.

.. by coincidence the BBC have chosen a black former prisoner to play the part.

The evening drama is a repeat from June about Jewish kids.

Just had to calm myself down after watching John Sopel on the BBC news – why do I do it to myself? He stated that Donald Trump had not yet commented on the shooting at a BLM demonstration by ” a Trump supporting White Supremacist “! Looking on line there is evidence to support that the boy in question could have been firing in self defence , the demonstrators killed were white and by all accounts could have been criminals and as for a Trump supporter – how would anyone know ??? This is just typical of our media now , the story has to fit with the narrative. No waiting for the facts to emerge !!

Why are Tory MP’s with such a huge majority in Parliament behaving like lambs? Real Tories would have extracted us out of the EU three years ago, cut immigration as they have always promised and Closed down Al Beeb?
What of their performance on defence and law and order ? You tell me.

They may be power now but people have long memories their behaviour currently will linger in the minds of the British people who may never elect them again.

Two votes now that did not go to the establishments choosing : trump and brexit and look at the concerted attempts via the judiciary the media and the civil services to denigrate both peoples choices for years now

is anyone of the opinion that we live in a democracy ?

The use of debt and usery controls everything i.e. banking systems, any leader that has refused to accede has disappeared, for example by trying to diminish the power of the central reserve that worked out not to well for Kennedy

abolishing the usa central bank ? Andrew Jackson , did not work out to well for him either he was killed,

Lincoln issued his own usa money rather than turning to the european banks did not turn out too well for him, he was killed

      What a beautiful bridge!

Good brickwork, designed so well by engineers, masons, even architects when pretty pictures are called for, are a great signature of British ingenuity, skill and pursuance of all that is good in our islands! This is a sturdy, well built bridge, spanning quite a considerable distance, and – perhaps sadly – having to cope with health and safety measures, which aren’t that well designed, but necessary, as are the electricity cables overhead!

The countryside is lush, reminiscent of normal weather conditions for this time of year, the river seems to be in reasonable flow, and I think there’s a cycle path or footpath on the left, so all this beautiful countryside is an appreciation of everything that we strive for in Great Britain!

It’s a shame that the garish, coloured toy train had to be Photoshopped into such a lovely scene, but no doubt someone in The Observer or Guardian – even the BBC, will be able to explain!

I wish all these bread bakers wouldn’t just drop part of the name of their products – Mrs O’Blene Senior always liked ‘Mother’s Pride’! They’ve done the same with ‘Pedigree Chum’!
