We should be so proud! I for one should, having been a past recipient of pay from HMS Centurion.
A most respected nation in the World; a World leader in many things; the 5th largest economy in the World (well maybe 6th now being on the decline).
“HMS Trent joins HMS Forth and HMS Medway in entering the Royal Navy fleet”

    Impressive no?

HMS Trent now joining the other two…………………Decisively halting the invasion from France? No. ‘Fraid not. Her duties will be in the Med, no doubt ferrying large numbers of blacks from North Africa to Europe. Probably on charter to a front charity controlled by Soros and the Globalists of which our Governmental Cabinet is a party.

    What a total joke.

HMS Trent is supposed to be ‘Merlin capable’ – one might imagine that if the helicopter was tied down and accidently took off it would take the ship with it!

The New Europeans will be pleased that she ** carries two spare RIBs.

They deleted the UK page Lammy mentioned but I can get the exact same shoe in French
by going to the right page and selecting the colour option
It’s a two tone shoe so in French I go for brown
and it is labelled as “marron N-word”
        instead of “marron noire”

Sorry for the shoe pic above

He must realise at some level that he is making race relations worse with his constant ‘micro aggression’….it wasn’t a racist shoe advert either – it was a typo – as there was no intent to be racist – or maybe there was if they were Chinese 🙂

Pathetic for this to even be rated as news..I despair…..

He does humour – bit troubling though because if you go on amazon and put the word ‘nigger’ in as a search you get various responses – many books by black people with ‘nigger’ in the title .

Presumably my Lammy s end game is to make the word ‘nigger ‘ illegal and burn every thing with the word ‘nigger ‘ in it .

It’s a bit too much of an intellectual challenge for the likes of Lammy . For instance – amazon sells a replica ‘ green book ‘ which includes ‘nigger ‘ in it . Would be ban them Green Book . ?
Which is ( the film ) a far more powerful Discussion of race than any of the dangerous infantile crap going on now …..

By the way amazon is also selling those uniforms black men wear when parading through Brixton on Saturday afternoons – you get a free chip with it ( this may all be a fib )

I’m limiting my exposure to this made up race outrage in the UK – which is personally easy since I Abstain from the BBC And am outside the country …..

As an aside Lord Charles Moore gives some advice to over 75 s about the TV licence …. he wonders at the spectacle of some 85 year old being dragged out of their home on a non payment of fine warrant regarding the TV licence …
But as we know – some laws are rigorously enforced and some which are ‘inconvenient ‘ such as the public order act 1936 – are happily ignored . …..

Ah, actually it’s a well known thing
N-word Brown used to the name for a shade of brown
& it still crops up in China cos they are using old dictionaries
          see this 2007 Snopes article
          https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/hue-cry/

It’s been suggested that Lammy got it from some racebaiter first searched Amazon for the N-word
          Then made a back story
cos it is unlikely they were just about to by a pair of shoes from this new seller who had zero reviews listed.

Last week on Twitter an American talked about the same word being used by a Chinese wool company, which it emerged in Dec 2019 used the term as well as “rape yellow”.

Amazon couldn’t just ban the word
cos that would exclude Rap Music stuff albums, T-shirts etc.

Despite the claim that the shoe page was removed, my French link I gave above, still works.

      (1) The place created for the return of America’s Blacks back to Africa:

The African nation of Liberia began as a settlement of “The Society for the Colonization of Free People of Color of America”, commonly known as the American Colonization Society (ACS). Founded in 1816 to encourage and support the voluntary migration of African-Americans back to the continent of Africa, they believed that black people would face better chances for freedom and prosperity back in Africa. The country declared its independence on July 26, 1847, with Virginia-born Joseph Jenkins Roberts becoming the nations first President. The Liberian constitution and flag were modelled on those of the US.
Liberia’s capital city Monrovia, is named in honour of US President James Monroe a prominent supporter of The Society for the Colonization of Free People of Color of America.

      (2) The place created for the return of Britain’s Blacks back to Africa:

The African nation of Sierra Leone began as a settlement of the “Committee for the Relief of the Black Poor” of London. British Government officials helped the Committee with “The Sierra Leone Resettlement Scheme” because they saw the scheme as a useful tool to remove the black poor from the streets of London. They established the ‘Province of Freedom’ on 15 May 1787. Sierra Leone’s capital city Freetown, was founded in 1792 for the settlement of Blacks from the British colony of Nova Scotia. Freetown became a crown colony in 1808, and with the Royal Navy enforcing the ban on the slave trade, the fleet brought liberated slaves to Sierra Leone, and by 1864, tens of thousands of Blacks had been sent back to Africa, and Freetown in particular. Sierra Leone became an independent Realm of the Queen in 1961, and a republic in 1971.

I was heartened to receive an e-mail from them just over a week ago saying I could expect shortly a letter from Boris Johnson. Splendid, I thought, an opportunity to vent my spleen. However, this letter when it arrived was a request to donate to party funds followed by another tacky e-mail repeating my first name over and over again, informing me that I only had until midnight that day to donate and help them with all their good and important works, also what a great supporter I was ( I’ve only been a member for about a month), to say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement.

By sheer coincidence, just now, from 38 BeeGees:

Subject: The voice of the British public (the other one to the BBC)

        Rube,

Breaking: UK Trade Secretary, Liz Truss, is in Washington RIGHT NOW (for effect) negotiating a UK-US trade deal. But our government still hasn’t taken concrete action to protect OUR NHS (c)Corbyn, J. So we’re taking our message directly to US trade officials, via the medium of beaten saucepan.

More than 70,000 of us, that’s nearly the entire country, have already signed the open letter telling US trade negotiators directly: hands off our NHS. Bet they are utterly impressed. If Liz Truss hears from her US counterparts that the British public are taking this stand when we are rightly ignored by those the rest of the country elected, it could (c) BBC be enough to force her to corpse, and finally put the NHS on the negotiating table for the lolz.

But if we want to make sure Liz Truss hears about it before she leaves Washington tomorrow, thousands more of us need to add our names today, to nudge us to slightly more than not very many. Every time 100 of us sign, US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer will be notified via email. And his spam filter will deal with it. Let’s make sure this is pinging in his inbox all day – so much so that he asks Liz who these loons are.

So Rube, will you sign the open letter we have drafted for you now, and help send a clear message to US trade officials: this country is being run by idiot petitions?

        SIGN NOW

Thanks for all that you do,

Sarah, Chloe, Megan, Molly, Sharnice, Tarquin (us either) and the 38 BeeGees team

38 Beegees can’t blow funds like an EU wine waiter without you, Rube.

38 Beegees has no big donors or corporate sponsors. Everything we achieve together is only possible because of fivers and tenners and little baggies from ordinary people like you.

Please will you consider chipping in a fiver, a tenner or whatever you can spare now. Hoxton Square cafes are, like, mental pricey.

I too, remain less than whelmed.

Two of the events that happened years ago on this day broadcast on Radio 4 were that on this day in 1918 Hitler was given the Iron cross recommended by a Jewish general Hugo Gutman. This was followed by that on this day Anne Frank was betrayed and the perpetrator who betrayed her was never found. This is saying that Jews are responsible for their own downfall. How dare they! Usual fearmongering from the BBC.

The following excerpt from the article really makes no sense.

‘They analysed what happens when Reception, Year 1 and Year Six go back at the start of June; followed by all primary school pupils in July; secondary pupils in Year 10 and 12 having some contact in July and all secondary schools going back in September.’

Surely, it should be ‘what happened’

I think this racist positive discrimination has caused the Civil Service to be a bloated, over manned organisation. My reasoning is that:

the racist anti-white managers want to show how inclusive they are so they employ lots of ethnics, just because they aren’t white. But they need to some people in the Civil Service who have some modicum of intelligence and work ethic so they have to also employ whites. Which means there are many tokens with their hand in our pocket, and probably an equal or fewer number of whites who can actually do the work.

Critical thinking..yes I love teaching it to my students, but when you hear BBC reporting on this story and laughing that you realise we are doomed…

“John Boyne, the author behind The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
needed to find out how red clothes dye is traditionally made, he did a Google search. At least, that’s what says he “must have” done when it emerged that several fantasy ingredients from The Legend of Zelda have appeared in his most recent book, A Traveler at the Gates of Wisdom”

Me, on the other had just sighed….it shows how dumb people have got…no thinking, no questioning. It’s on google..it’s on FB it’s on Twitter etc – so it must be true…

Critical thinking along with truth and facts have little relevance…it is just the narrative…

The entire western world seems to be caught up in wave after wave of perpetual panic.
The Insane screaming and intolerable tantrums by Remainers went on for over three years. Their arguments were always apocalyptic, their predictions catastrophic. We were “going off a cliff”. We were facing an economic Armageddon. We would have no food. We wouldn’t be able to get medicinal drugs.

As soon as that was sorted we had the militant greenies on our streets causing mayhem. We were facing the end of the world; we had ten years at most. Aged hippies and screaming teenagers glued themselves to roads and bridges. People sat at the feet of a rather silly, deeply neurotic schoolgirl and the police (what the hell’s happened to them?) were seen dancing and cavorting with protesters…so as not to “upset them.” FFS!

Now we have “The Virus”. All the other hyperbolic, catastrophic, dystopian nightmares seem to have been forgotten as we battle the plague. To combat this unpleasant, flu like condition, we’ve strangled our economy, imprisoned our citizens and forced everyone to wear bizarre outfits and to comply with new societal rules that make absolutely no sense. And what’s even worse, instead of telling our governing halfwits to shove their masks, goggles and sanitisers where the sun don’t shine, most of the public say “Thankyou” and want even more of this lunacy!

And then, to top it all, we have the deeply racist, moronic Marxists of BLM. Do we stand up to these bullying, half-witted thugs? Oh no, the police decide to “take the knee” in one of the most gut wrenchingly ghastly spectacles I’ve ever witnessed.
Indeed, in this topsy turvy lunatic asylum that used to be called Great Britain, you’re actually criticised if you don’t take part in this abject act of subjugation.

These are really strange times. Most of humanity has never had it so good. We’re wealthier, healthier and luckier than any previous generations…and yet. We’re like children. Either terrified of a bogeyman plague, or having destructive tantrums when we can’t get our own way. Where are the adults? They’re not at the BBC and, sad to say, they’re certainly not in Downing Street. These two institutions are actually part of the problem.
We need a strong, calm hand at the tiller, but what have we got?

It will take decades before we can sit down and sensibly assess this extraordinary age we’re living through.

But by that time it will be too late…

I tried to work out what the side effects of lockdown and project fear 2 would be . Conceited ? Maybe .

But I got a number of things wrong at the outset .
1 I didn’t believe the whole population would lock down
2 I didn’t believe it would comply so long
3 I didn’t work out how fearful people would become
4 I didn’t realise that al though the initial response would be shaky it would remain so
5 I didn’t see the race nonsense coming – but perhaps should have realised Corbyn momentum would not just go away – they got lucky rebadging with the colour nonsense
6 the collective hysteria experienced by the population has been channelled quite easily by BBC SJWs ( is that the term ?) to a kind of mental breakdown .

But nothing stays the same and taxes always go up .

Your item paints a very bleak picture but is absolutely spot on! I have arrived at the very same conclusion.

The most scary feature I have found is that the whole bloody affair is being policed by most of the victims, more so if they are under say 60 years old. It is impossible to challenge anyone in this group on the rationality of what is going on, I have now gone silent on this after being on the receiving end of abvious disgust approaching hate at even trying to suggest that what is happening is at the very least bizarre, possibly unnecessary and probably extremely damaging. Losing friends is very easy right now!

On Toady this morning the BBC decided to elicit our sympathy for the grandmother of three children who are stuck in a refugee camp in Syria. The mother ran off with her husband and kids to join ISIS. He died and she may have remarried another jihadist with Trinidanian connections. But what about the kids?

Know what? The BBC have failed. I don’t give a toss. They can stay there for the duration.

Yet that is not quite the only story. After among other things the Rashford food vouchers ‘ initiative’ the state is increasingly taking over responsibility for children and away from the parents, as foreshadowed by Aldous Huxley in the 1930s.
The legions of single unmarried mothers on priority benefits and housing also give testimony to this drift, as does the safeguarding industry.

So the government, having thus systematically backed itself into a corner, could take back the above grandchildren and simply argue quite logically that it is only being consistent.

How we allowed ourselves to get into this mess is another issue……..

A commercial organisation feels the need to withdraw an advertising image so the BBC decides to make news of it by republishing that image of which few would have been aware.

Therefore a fast track for an organisation to get its name in the news is the deliberate publishing of an iffy image and swift apologetic retraction – happily containing a bit of advertising copy.

Some familiar template phraseology in this one, plus some rather weird new phaseology.

‘Alexander Kareem death: Seven arrests in Shepherd’s Bush shooting’

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-53649069

‘Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was shot dead in west London’

    Here’s the familiar:

‘Det Ch Insp Wayne Jolley said… “I believe this murder to have been a case of mistaken identity..”‘

Like when the Guardian published a picture of rapper Kano instead of grime artist Wiley – yeah, easy mistake to make, I can’t tell my rap from my grime. Except the Guardian could have googled whereas the gang shooter in this incident only had a postcode and an unknown black lad on a moped to go on.

The BBC has dropped the odd clanger too.

‘BBC bosses have apologised after a cock-up during a social media story in which they shared a photo of the wrong black woman with the caption ‘so proud of the woman I’ve become’.’
    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/8760641/bbc-wrong-photo-persona-challenge-black-woman/

‘The BBC wrongly identified a black female Labour MP’
    https://www.theguardian.com/media/2020/feb/04/news-outlets-in-racism-row-over-mislabelling-photos-of-black-mps

‘Ms Kareem said her brother had planned to start university in September to study computer science.’ Pretty familiar story. Although it’s moot, considering the fears for a second wave of Chinese flu might just have forstalled University.

    And now the odd phrasing:

‘Alexander Kareem’s sister, Khafi Kareem, is an officer for the Met Police’

    Officer FOR the Met…?

Glen Campbell was famously a lineman for the county. Perhaps this is some awkward new American import – like Black Lives Matter?

There’s a further very odd piece of phrasing but it is probably not the fault of the BBC as it comes in a quotation from a relative of this poor chap, so I won’t repeat it here. You can read it in the BBC report. They don’t care what they put out there, whether it makes sense or not.

Hi, this is a note to StewGreen, Fedup and others concerning some strange global expansion of the BBC enterprise.

So I was on the BBC website checking its headlines and in the Australia news section I clicked on a headline – and it took me to something that looked like part of the BBC website (with connecting menu links) but it came up with the following additional message:

This website is produced by BBC Global News, a commercial company owned by the BBC (and just the BBC). No money from the licence fee was used to create this website. The money we make from it is re-invested to help fund the BBC’s international journalism.

It seems to me that the BBC are using its “British” reputation to create commercial ventures (“BBC Global News”) into international news propaganda and making a commercial profit out of it – presumably it is selling news as well as promoting things (dressed up as news) and getting paid for that too. It says no money from the license fee is being used for that website – but surely the BBC are profiting out of the reputation of the BBC (paid for by the British licence payer & taxpayer) & its association with “Britain” as well as the BBC infrastructure.

    Here is the website:
    https://www.bbc.com/worklife/

I would be grateful for any thoughts or comments on this.

Ive seen the site but not the funding . Its easy to just shout ‘defund’ / kill the BBC .

But perhaps these overseas so called self funding operations justify the dilution of the BBC away from this publicly funded ‘giant baby ‘ immune to commercial pressures into the subscription service it needs to be .

We know – and i think they know – that it would not last a year on its output .

But when the BBC shouts about being ‘unique’ and immune from market forces the overseas stuff could be a method deconstruct it .

I think the national brand image and the international one is different and overseas viewers are slowly catching up to where people on this site are in relation to 24/7 bias and message sending

  46. fakenewswatcher says:

I looked up bbc’s commercial ‘world service’ on Wiki and got some interesting background. It gets quite complicated, but alleges there is an entire ‘world service’, not funded by the licence fee, with agreements /outlets all over the world under various guises. Beeb suddenly becomes a lot more opaque, as you are left to guess what funds flow where and in which direction, and from what source. It is defined as an international PAY TV service, and you can get it anywhere from Afghanistan and Sweden to Nepal and New Zealand.
While the ‘worklife’ website gives you an intro to a wide variety of ‘worklife’ topics, the Wiki article takes you to a ‘world news’ website in which the lead article is on tourism to Venice. The presenter is not -as you might have suspected – Francesco de Mosto, whose family has lived in Venice for many centuries, but typical ‘Venetian’, Ade Adepitan, doing a bit of cultural appropriation.
Anyway, this claims to be a 24 hour international news channel, available everywhere, which could, say in the US, appear on cable, and there are more than half a dozen cable services there alone, on which you can access the bbc.

The relationship between the BBC and its commercial units is like that between Mother and children

Does the daughter have a successful private business selling cakes
.. if her mother gives her free office rent, her free training, free intellectual property like bags with logos ?

What if the mother sells a weeks worth of cakes for £600 and the daughter retails them for a £1000 has £300 costs/salary and hands the mother £100 profit.?
And then the neighbour comes along and offers a proper market rate of £800 for the cakes £100/week for IP
has £200 costs and shrewdly sells on the cakes for £1200.
The mother would actually be £200 /week better off.

I am concerned that the BBC’s children are given cheap studio rental in Broadcasting House, already trained staff, no rent for BBC IP etc.
and that amounts to a subsidy paid for by the licence payer.

This year in Scotland because of schools being closed during exam season the decision was made to let the teachers “guess’ what the pupils would have scored.

As a teachers performance rating for themselves relies partly on the success rate of their students this right away seems a loaded way to proceed but hey ho…

So in Scotland results are in and guess what grades are recording higher then ever pass rates. with most up by 5 – 10 percent over previous years which kinda illustrates my point above.

Apparently though this is not the whole story, the grades the teachers submitted were actually even higher and had to be cut back (so as not to look too dodgy)!

So the BBC headline goes on the attack!

Scotland’s results day: Thousands of pupils have exam grades lowered

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-53636296

At he bottom of the article is a graph that clearly shows record levels of results actually awarded despite the headline.

Teachers are our friends… So BBC!

And here’s the hidden reason for the BBC bellyache..

“Opposition politicians have warned that there will now be a “deluge” of appeals, and accused the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) of treating the professional judgement of teachers with “contempt” by changing so many grades.”

I don’t know if anyone else watched “Celebrity Masterchef”, but it was on in our house.

Throughout the series, the best amateur chef had been Sir Matthew Pinsent. In the final, he produced three perfect courses. Another finalist was a gay Irishman with an Iraqi father, some sort of vlogger (the definition of “celebrity” is very wide nowadays). He produced three courses, but his sorbet had gone hard and turned into a steamed puddding.

Guess who won? Hint: it wasn’t the straight white Englishman.

Of course the two judges, John and Greg, are themselves straight white men, so for career reasons they were never going to pick another white man as winner, no matter how good his cooking was.

Now I read that one of the ex-SAS men on “Who Dares Wins” is to be replaced by a person of colour. I feel as if being white is a crime with no possibility of parole.

I used to wonder when we would have had enough, and refuse to take any more, but I think we have had the stuffing knocked out of us by the left wing establishment, which of course includes the BBC, MSM and police. I just don’t see much of a future for ordinary white British people. We have been colonised without even realising.

The woke don’t have a monopoly on activism. If conservatives became activists in their cause, the picture would quickly change. That would include badgering our docile, lazy MPs, who are probably convinced they have to compromise with wokism, cos that’s who they hear from all the time! And kicking some ‘journalist’ butt, metaphorically speaking. From boycotting their outlets to boycotting advertised products, to challenging what they write. This morning I bought an unusual basket of shopping, shopping list in one hand, product boycott in the other. And I let them know, all of them.
So, if everyone stood up for themselves and RESISTED, it would quickly be ‘game over’. We still have the numbers. It has been the will that has been missing.
The enemy has been puny, but puff themselves up. Let’s pull ourselves together and pull together.

I don’t think I’m alone here, but with the sodding endless press articles, tv programmes and adverts proclaiming everything that is black (or shades of), its driving me nuts ! and I’m sick to death of reading/watching it. Far from promoting the plight of the black man and giving them a fair share of publicity/air time, its done the opposite and making me resent them ! and I hate the establishment for making me feel like this. I’ve always been fair minded and rubbed along like the rest of us, but jesus, we are being pushed to the limit , and when airing these views with friends, they suddenly opened up and felt exactly the same !!
