The Biased BBC continues to breach its Charter by social campaigning without any restraint . Something must be done to fix that .

I always feel a little bit guilty not posting much here anymore – but I really cannot stand listening to the BBC R4 with its relentlessly, white hating, woke BS.

However today as I was driving a fair bit I weakened apart from the normal anti white anti Trump bull I think they were running possibly some sort of consumer programme (I could only stand 5 mins worth) and were (I think) covering interest free loans.

The scandal in question was the story of an 18 year old internet “influencer” who took out an interest free loan loan to buy a 500 quid handbag. She got in debt over this. Boo Hoo and as the concerned presenter said is it right that 18 year olds were being given these sort of loans?

The other upsetting aspect was (according to the girl) that this hand bag she was still paying for would not be fashionable after a year or so but she would still be paying for it – I must admit I shed a few tears for her, poor darling and then I remembered 76 years ago some 18 year olds were travelling through France getting maimed and burnt alive in tanks to fight for the right of this stupid girl to complain that it is someone else,s fault that she is in debt.

Why do the BBC think anyone actually cares about this?

When I hear this sort of self absorbed bilge – just sometimes I wonder whether just maybe these utterly self absorbed youngsters deserve what will be coming their way if the left finally prevail.

Oak – have you got any more details about this poor girl ? We must set up a crowdfunding thingy to keep her in cash for the rest of her life so that she can buy a new £500 handbag every year .isnt it terrible how the government treats 18 year old . ?

Fe2 they definitely get a bad deal, and remember its all our fault too that they cant afford to buy their own houses. Everyone knows regular foreign holidays and designer fashion wear are the essential priority when you should be saving for a house.

Im sure they wouldnt want to know that i flogged myself to death when i was 18 raising enough money for the deposit to buy my first house . And paying obscene interest rates …

As for posting here – oak – im in an even trickier position because im moderating but have excluded almost all BBC output from my life . It is possible and the result is reduced distress .

I used to listen to the Today programme out of duty to witness the bias here but i couldnt take it any more .

Oak, it interests me how individuals in our society are becoming separated from any personal responsibility at all. You only have to look at items on the BBC web-site or at the tasters on the front pages of newspapers to see that it is largely the media doing this.

eg. ‘Do I need a TV Licence and what does it pay for?’
‘Coronavirus in Scotland: what can we do, and when?’
are just two of the current ones on the BBC site. There are usually far more of these sort of things on the BBC w-s all encouraging people to stop thinking and become mere dependents.

The BBC bears a lot of responsibility for the state intervention in all aspects of life now . Its that tired old thing about frogs in water being heated .. a gradual process so that personal responsibility is gone – no one is qualified to judge anothers conduct ( except for ‘ right wing stuff ) and someone else is always to blame . Add that to the fetish to ban or regulate as well as the ever long list of ‘ vulnerable ‘ and its a national socialist state .

Snuff – part of the “success ” of the BBC has been to encourage government policies that have divided us as a nation (such as migration) and have wrested any feeling from us that we have the power to influence events or politics (such as presiding over the political destruction of parties and individuals such as Gerard Batten, Katy Hopkins and Tommy Robinson who do still actually give a toss)

Maybe Covid-19 will change all that?

It was noticeable on TOADY this morning (Friday) although foreign holidays are now permitted, that apparently the F&CO will advise that cruises are to be avoided. I think people will shy away from venturing abroad unless young and determined to have that Ibiza holiday of a lifetime.

Lockdowns – no one allowed in or out do seem to work.

Item 3. Attack on the horrid populist party agenda in Poland because they are for “normal” nuclear families.

    BBC WEB-SITE Watch #2 – more obfuscation

The BBC have changed the way the information on the local look-up list for Covid-19 is presented. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274

I find this more than a little suspicious. The BBC love to point fingers at various bits of social media and ‘fact check’ them or dismiss them as presenting false information but they are happy to do their own share of obfuscation and ‘muddying the waters’. And WHO do it as well, with various Covid stories, one this week on possible air and wind transmission of the Covid-19 virus, on the efficacy of face masks, on whether it is a SARS virus, etc..

Lefty, I don’t think you are mistaken at all. From where I’m standing they seem intent on turning most western economies into Venezuela.
And every time the government suggests even the most modest easing of the lockdown/mass imprisonment, someone from the WHO or SAGE appears and tells us gravely that “There could be severe consequences.” People have become hypnotised by this guff.

The WHO did nothing to warn the world about this virus when it was running rampant in China. Indeed they told us it wouldn’t spread. They’re either incompetent or corrupt. Trump is absolutely right!

And our own SAGE have been instructing the government from day one, so they’ve got to be at least partially responsible for the suicidal lunacy of returning the elderly and the sick to care homes…to save the NHS.

If it hadn’t been for the lockdown the rest of the insanity we’re seeing on our streets and sports venues wouldn’t have gained traction. Our economy is on its knees, Marxists are running rampant and the authorities are either complying or pathetically complacent.

Usually I favour the cock up over the conspiracy theory.
But this time I’m really not sure.

Unfortunately it is not going to go away as Douglas Murray thinks. It has been embedded into society. It was created in the universities and has long spread into the schools, mainstream media, politics, and laws. Mass immigration has also changed and will change society permanently. We can attack the BBC for its obvious bias and the politicians for not doing anything about it because the BBC is publicly funded. But we also need to shed light into other publicly funded or publicly underwritten institutions such as the schools and the universities.

One of our managers had a son of similar age as me but he was a manager too. He had joined the company aged 16. He had worked in a section full of married women, they were only in it for ‘pin money’ and didn’t want promotion, so he became their supervisor and so on. You are aware that Lewis Hamilton aspires to be a racing car driver? But he is not allowed to, simply because of the colour of his skin. Systemic racism means that black people are not allowed to race cars, play golf, play tennis or, say, be over-represented by a factor of ten as Premier League football players. These are the everyday human rights that BLM and the BBC are striving to achieve.

Up early enough to unconsciously switch radio on to catch end of Farming Today on R4. Or as I prefer to think of it, Framing Today as there always seems to be a ‘narrative’, a message, some propaganda to propagate in neat little rows of early morning minds.

Presenter today was Caz Graham. Talk about dim! She makes a broken 40w incandescent bulb in the trash can seem like a 250w Photoflood. Dim Dierdre was the Editor and Beatrice tried to bring some beauty to the whole pathetic production.

Toward the end of the programme, Caz was wringing her hands over grassland. That wicked Tory Government was going to build houses everywhere, those nice environmentalists were going to plant trees everywhere and the farmers would be expected to feed everyone while they build, plant and farm. No mention of the reasons why the countryside is under such pressure. Well Caz, if those BAME people don’t like the countryside ” ‘cos its racist innit ” why not turn it into urban?

No. Caz brings on a Professor to explain how grassland sequesters carbon. “Almost as much as a young tree.” Something has got to give but poor old Caz and Dierdre cannot work out what it should be.

    Ummmmhhh?

I count it fortunate that Caz & Dierdre did not have to reconcile the land use required to support a vegan diet that the IPCC want everyone to have with all the other competing demands of housing, treeplanting, farming and grasslands.

So they have a gay guy on ‘gay’ stuff, and Pakistanis on ‘Asian‘ stuff… so why did they have a music teacher on Economics and how is Harrabin still getting science wrong?

Harrabin’s degree in English, while proving like all degrees that he can memorise facts and regurgitate them – though even this is made immeasurably easier by the internet – yet is still far from the best basis for understanding and producing relevant scientific data.
Like so many BBC employment factors, any degree of any level outweighs its subject or application – without which parameter staff levels would drop dramatically.
Blair’s ‘Uni For All’ was always more concerned with massaging employment figures than a meaningful education.

    Amazing!
The BBC’s Mr Sopel was marched out on Toady earlier to explain why Biden will win in the US election come November. In, what was a totally incomprehensible rant for some minutes, Sopel explained to those listeners who do not keep abreast of more accurate and undistorted news on the web, why Biden’s pre-election strategy is working. According to Sopel, Biden has locked himself away from contact with the voters. He holds no Press Conferences or rallies. A really winning strategy? ‘Yes’ say’s Sopel. Just goes to prove, beyond any question, that Sopel is mentally deranged.

Yes I was wondering about the ‘ keep Biden away from anyone ‘ tactic – which no doubt the MSM consider completely reasonable – unlike the decision not to put the current PM in front of the last proper journalist inquisitor….

Can American politics operate that way ? Is there an inevitable meeting on camera between he and President Trump ?
The footage turning on social media of Biden lost for coherent words suggests his dementia is progressing quickly -and even a friendly media will have to recognise it eventually . I’ve put another 50p on mrs Obama to get either the vice or full full nomination . I would be grateful to be told why this won’t happen …

I might be wrong but it is too late for a main party to change its candidate and an independent would have needed nearly 90,000 signatures by 11 May 2020 under the rules in Texas.

TOADY Watch #1 – the large greyish quadropod filling a corner of the studio

I listened to TOADY beyond the first look at the newspapers and there was consideration of the plight of Arizona, USA, which is suffering a huge spike in Covid-19 infections. It is put down to young people celebrating and partying when the initial Pandemic Lockdown was eased there.

No attempt to ask the really big question: is Covid-19 all about trying to ensure President Trump loses the Presidency in November 2020?

No attempt to ask the next big question: will all the infections of young people work against the Democratic Party, assuming that even in a southern State, the young people will be more inclined to vote democrat and less inclined to vote Republican?

Fed, you would think the questions will have passed through so-called ‘intelligent and enquiring minds’ at the BBC, wouldn’t you?

What do we know? Last year, President Trump (depending on who you listen to) started a Trade War with China or endeavoured to be protectionist against China or sought to claw back some of what had been given away in terms of US manufacturing and US jobs to China by previous Administrations.

      Then came the virus.

Because of the American electoral cycle, everyone knew that from summer/autumn 2019, the Democratic Party at least would be wrapped up in Primaries, to find a contender to set against President Trump if the incumbent decided to run. The campaign itself would dominate most months from late winter 2020 all the way to the start of winter 2020/21 and the Election.

      Then came the virus.

From Brazil, where a so-called Populist and so-called Right Winger won an election in a continent racked and wrecked by failed economies in large or oil-rich countries through to Europe where similar victories occurred, there has been a swing away from Socialism to liberal conservatism or much firmer Conservatism.

      Then came the virus.

      Coincidence?

      Pure chance?

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/islam/history/slavery_1.shtml

    Let’s start with a paradox.

The BBC enlightens us that Islamic slavery channelled slaves into various roles that eventually led to their Freedom. This ‘humanity’ led to freeing and integration and thus demand for more slaves.

    What a quaint paradox!

The BBC goes on to describe how Islam has a moderating influence on slavery. Islam treated slaves as human beings as well as property and banned the mistreatment of slaves – Indeed the tradition repeatedly stresses the importance of treating slaves with kindness and compassion. There is a cursory mention of the Prophet and links to slavery, but only in the context of tradition within the religion.

Unlike the Western slave trade, slavery in Islam was not wholly motivated by economics. Slaves could serve in the military apparently, elite service indeed! Even ‘young’ women could become concubines and some of these became powerful. Lucky them!

Further examination warns us not to use misleading phrases such as ‘Islamic slavery’ and ‘Muslim slave trade’, even though slavery existed in many Muslim cultures at various times.

The justification for this is the Atlantic slave trade is not called the Christian slave trade, despite the perpetrators being Christian.

The slaver tradition continues even today in parts of Sub Saharan Africa.

So, concubines, agricultural, military, building mining and domestic service were managed by slaves in relative peace and harmony. However,

    1. Owners are allowed to have sex with their female slaves
    2. Slaves cannot carry out some religious roles
    3. Slaves can have only limited authority
    4. Slaves cannot be witnesses in court
    5. Killing a slave does not carry the death penalty in most schools of Islamic law
    6. Slaves are punishable under Islamic law if they commit a crime.

I consider myself a reasonably accomplished amateur historian. The BBC summary on Islamic slavery is the most slavish, bias, bastardised piece of historical nonsense I’ve ever read. To use titles like how ‘Islam Moderated Slavery’, ‘Slaves could be assimilated’ and ‘Slaves could achieve status’ is just not credible.

There is no good and bad slavery. What the hell are the BBC doing here? Why such a sympathetic and non-judgemental piece on Islamic slavery?

Of course we all know the answers, I thought I would simply share the bile to highlight what pollution is infiltrating young minds through this sinister Corporation.

David Starkey’s use of the ‘D-word’ I think was more directed at those modern ‘historians’ who seem to have overlooked the fact that slaves in America must have had some sort of ‘family life’ yet, strangely, those in the Middle East didn’t, rather than towards the descendants of the slaves.

I expect the Middle East slaves were so busy taking advantage of the benefits of Islam that they never got around to having children.

I recall watching the young muslim girls in Indonesia filing onto a 747 destined for Saudi Arabia, knowing that they were going into slavery. Having lived and worked in Saudi, I know that passports are taken away on arrival and never returned so leaving is no option.
Personally, I find it sad, yet amusing how the current fad of condemning historic slavery does not extend to modern day by the current crop of Millennial Marxists. Hypocrites to a man. (sorry, ‘child’).

The cross-party band of 106 politicians have written to the publicly-owned broadcaster warning that dropping the topical issues show would “seriously harm the ability of the BBC to scrutinise and explain the consequences of policy announcements”.

This does beg the question I’ve seen raised elsewhere; unlike the USA, Caribbean and south America why are there no black people in the Middle East?
Could it be that all the male slaves were castrated ‘with kindness and compassion’?

The BBC want you to get out your hankies and support people subjected to racism by us whities and the heartless government.

‘UK born twins face deportation to different countries’ runs the BBC headline.

They were born in West London to Caribbean parents with no right of residence. The mother died when they were 13 at which point the father returned to Dominica, leaving his kids behind.
They were taken in to care by the taxpayer, sorry I mean Ealing Council.
At the age of 17, one of them was sentenced to 6 years for GBH. He has been released. The brother is still in jail on a separate charge of GBH.
Guess who is paying for all this, dear readers.

    Words absolutely fail me.
The Far Left at the BBC and BLM would go apoplectic if they were deported. But no fear, the snowflakes, refugee council, civil servants et al won’t let it happen.
When the Far Left talk about redistribution of wealth is this what they mean? And the idea that the father should have some responsibility is not even considered.

I am writing this from my apartment in the Algarve in
Portugal. According to Clive Myrie on the BBC TV
news three days ago I am supposed to be in isolation.
I have just returned after a swim in the sea after
visiting the beach , one of the finest in Europe if
not the world. I am afraid more fake news from the BBC,
the national broadcaster” we can trust”
So why has the BBC got it in for Portugal? We had just about
the easiest transit through passport control in the fifty years
we have been coming to Portugal, The UK’s oldest ally
going back even further than the Napoleonic wars and fighting
and dying with us in the First World War. And not’s let us
forget who helped saved Boris Johnson’s life. Thank god the
Portuguese nurse was not having to be in quarantine!
I wonder could it be the BBC’S hatred of Israel? Portugal was
the only country in Europe that allowed the USA’S planes
to land on their territory , when they were replenishing Israel’s
fast diminishing arms , whilst they were fighting for their
lives in the Yom Kippur war in 1973.
The Portuguese have been ten times more successful in
managing the Chinese virus than us. There has been a flare up in Lisbon 125 miles away from us. But on the Algarve there have
been very few deaths from the virus.
The Portuguese have been wearing masks for weeks . Last night
we had chicken piri -piri in the famous Ramires restaurant in
Guia . The organization in the restaurant was perfect.
Do not be put off by fake news from the BBC. It’s
disgraceful how the British government and the BBC have treated
Portugal. It’s worth the two weeks isolation , unless the government comes to its senses and revokes this injustice
against Portugal. Portugal is the most hospital country in Europe.
And I reiterate there is NO quarantine when you arrive in Portugal
    whatever the BBC says !
