    BBC’s typical Britain isn’t 87% white
    R4 8pm show

    • G says:

If a child asked me what the expression: “tail wagging the dog” meant and to give an example, I would refer to Government statistics. I would reply that in some circumstances a gobby few people sometimes dictate what happens to the large majority of the people because they shout louder and/or naturally act like criminals. I would go on to say, for example, blacks constitute about 3.3% of the population but they expect to dictate how everyone lives their lives.

And, btw, mixed race couples (black/white) aka, ‘DFS advertising people’ are in total only 1.1% of the population. So, BBC work as hard on lies and deception as much as you like, the public are not deceived.

    • BRISSLES says:

As we have to assume that most of the British public are stupid, then quoting to them that 87% is white and the rest is BAME, might not equate much except its a little number against a big number, so if we said that we have 66,000,000 people in this country and only 8,580,00 are none white, then that disparity might register a bit more.

So, even easier if we say that 8 and a half million are trying to tell 58 million what to do ! That should fire’em up !

      • Dave S says:

Actually most are not. The white progressives are at the base of all this. Most of the rest of us black white whatever are just trying to get by.

  2. fakenewswatcher says:

Radio 4 have reported that they will be broadcasting statements by His Excellency, President Lammy, on the hour- every hour. As his semi-official PR team, they can also be contacted if you need the little Book of Thoughts, by President Lammy. 20% of each purchase will go towards the funding of the bbc entertainment and travel bill. The Book of His Excellency’s Demands can be purchased separately. 20% of each purchase will go towards the funding of a collection of Rolex and diamond accoutrement for a Mr Rajan, of London.
R4 weather say they will let us know the time of Sunrise tomorrow, as soon as His Excellency reveals it. It is thought that this is the same light that struck a Mr Johnson, of London, earlier today.
Mr Johnson will be setting up a Commission as a result. Its report will- of course- have to be vetted by Prime Minister Surkeer, before publication. All it will take then is the nod from a Mr Burr Cow, also of London, before the peasants get to see it.
Mr Cow said today that it was not known yet which palace His Excellency would chose to live in. Some say that a Ms Krankie, of Edinburgh, has offered him Crathers Castle as his summer residence.
Once President Lammy reveals what the Commission Report should contain, said Mr Johnson will let us know.
    Via R4, of course.

    • fakenewswatcher says:

I clean forgot to say, Mr Cow is very upset because he didn’t make it to the Louse of Hordes. Some say His Excellency and PM Surkeer are working on it. If you know what ermine.
Personally, I think we should pass the hat around. Mr Cow has a competition on with Mr Rajan to see who can build up the biggest collection of silk ties. I feel Mr Cow’s feelings are hurt, so he should win. Wink, wink.
R4 will keep us updated as to the result of this competition. As soon as The President’s daily, on the hour statement has been made, for that particular day, of course.
20% of all donations to the hat will go the updating of the bbc’s recruitment policy, to accomodate the latest demands by His Excellency. (These can be viewed in his little Book of Demands).
Not that that is really necessary.

      • fakenewswatcher says:

I clean forgot to say that the little Book of Demands also contains colour photographs of A trip to Durham and a Foreword containing Outrage, from R4 Wimmins Our. So get your copy.
NOW, do you hear, NOW! Because enough time has been wasted not buying His Excellency’s Little Book!

        • fakenewswatcher says:

I bet you thought I’d finally gone away? No such luck! I clean forgot to say that, when you open the Little Book of Demands, a song about a demand for an apology will play.
But not by His Excellency. No, some lady play write wrote this; maybe exclusively for R4? One doesn’t really know what goes on at such dizzying heights, all the collusion and timing and whatnot…
Someone once sang in 1967 that they had ‘read the news today, oh boy’. Nobody was really sure if he was from the Louse of Hordes. But that was long ago, when ‘news’ were still published/broadcast. Cos then came 1968, and we all know what that means.
That’s not toady. Toady is all about having a proper gander.

  3. Guest Who says:

Most bbc staff do, or block, or get Aunty to ban you if they are bang to rights.

That’s what makes the bbc so transparent, trusted, impartial and, of course, unique.

Timbo having a bit of a megabux salary hike karmic ‘mare.

He and Franny best book on Tesla Mars Express pdq for a five year seminar.

  4. Fedup2 says:

Im waiting for the briefing. The BBC droid is following the BBC editorial line of wanting the country locked up for ever .

Then theyve gone to talk about the Brookes case in the USA – if you see the 2 minute video youll see he bought it on himself . But minor issues like facts are not agenda items these days .

Just for record – it was drunk driving . He resisted arrest – tried to get the tazer and got shot . In america – but the BBC seems to think it broadcasts on behalf of all blacks everywhere in order to fuel disorder in the UK – which i dont think it likes .

  5. Beltane says:

While Andrew Banks is jailed for outraging public decency by relieving himself of urine near a memorial, David Lammy continues to piss petrol all over UK race relations with the deliberate use of ill-conceived and inflammatory language.
Which one of the two will be accurately described by the BBC?

    • Oldspeaker says:
Most people would find public urination distasteful but custodial?
Being handed a bucket of water and a brush seems a bit fairer, but I think we all understand whats going on here.
If Mr Banks had done the same but been on a different mission there’d currently be a media outcry about the lack of public conveniences.

      • Old Goat says:

Here, in France, blokes piss more or less where they like, and nobody bats an eyelid…

        • G.W.F. says:

Mr Banks could have had his case dismissed if he had said that he was making a protest against President Trump.
The media would have backed him and the magistrate would have known what to do.

  6. Emmanuel Goldstein says:

How many times have you heard or read about serial criminals being charged and having 50 or more cases taken into consideration or some criminal having committed 70-80 or more offences and them being given a non custodial sentence even though their offences were serious such as mugging and burglary.

Yet, here we have a lad who got pissed and had to relieve himself (whilst possibly blocked in by the police) near a plaque on the bottom of a wall as no toilets were there.
Amazingly, within hours of handing himself in he was tried, sentenced and jailed for 2 weeks.

The soviets would have been proud of such a show trial type of ‘justice’
True Brits must be ashamed that some far left biased judge was over promoted and able to virtue signal with a sentence 1000 times too harsh.
Unless, of course, if those who defaced our Cenotaph or Winston get 10 years but this will never happen (unless they can pin it on the extreme far right nazi football hooligan thugs and then it’s a given)

    I’m ashamed of ‘our’ ‘elite’
    They make me sick.

  7. Sluff says:

What a pile of total s****.
    And not just The BBC.

The daily news conference about Coronavirus.
Except that all the media questions are about Race !!!!!

And one ‘journalist’ (Beth) actually referred to policies which in terms would be for the benefit of, and I quote ‘Black Lives Matter Activists’.

So what we have is a race-baiting media hi-jacking the news conference for the benefit of ‘Activists’.

Does this country not have ANY white people in it? According to the MSM, no.

  8. theleftwilleatitself says:

Did Beff Rigby really say “the 12 metre rule”?
She should be restricted to the 12 word rule in her questions cos she doesn’t half waffle on 🤐

    • Fedup2 says:

Maybe beff laura and the girls were on the lunchtime pinot again …

      • theleftwilleatitself says:

        Indeed Fedup 👍
Reminded me of the time Dianne Abacus got up to ask a 7th question when standing in for Steptoe at PMQ’s 😄 – ’twas funny!
Not al beeb but are you looking forward to Friday ⚽

    • Sluff says:

      Yes she did.
But don’t be harsh. Beth has a Diploma from the Dianne Abbott Institute of Mathematics.

  9. Fedup2 says:

    Briefing watch

On the day shops reopen and death records fall

Mark easton BBC droid asks about blacks
ITV droid has it in for BA
Beff from Sky goes Black again
4 white people talking about blacks so far
And 21 minutes gone yawn what are these briefing for apart from still running gotchas ?
Then a girl from the “i” – private eye ? Asks why mr raab is on his own ? ( implication – are they on strike ?)

Reuters girl asks about China ! The first real question . Sounds like the tories still think its a good idea to give the chinks access to our intel computers . Great idea – and the nuclear codes ….

Back to netflix for me …

    • StewGreen says:

“That is the end of questions from the public
..Now over to the extreme Media Hooligans to chuck their brickbats & loaded questions .”

Beth bangs on about a “twelve metre rule”

    • Thoughtful says:

I hate to say I told you so but……

Back before the election I was telling everyone who would listen that the Tories are cowardly useless and incompetent.

I’ve seen nothing to change my mind and plenty to confirm my thoughts.

Have a look at operation kowtow if you want to see what these craven fools have been up to.

Nuclear codes? I take it you wrote that as one of the most extreme things you think they’d never do? Think again because what they’re up to runs it pretty close.

      • Oaknash says:

Totally agree Thoughtful have always said Boris is little more than Theresa May in a skirt with better gags.

He is an utterly untrustworthy blowhard and will always bend to whoever shrieks the loudest.

He cant even defend “his hero” Churchill properly

blah blah blah said things we now find utterly acceptable – blah blah blah – blAH blah blah blah racist thugs, blah blah discrimination, blah blah i am sorry I am so white –

        Or was that “Far White”

Fake news warning – I might have added something Boris didnt actually say, but some people are saying he would like to have said it!

        • Burgsey says:

Perhaps we need to roll out Nigel again, to remind the Tory’s what is expected of them?

  10. pugnazious says:

Has the BBC done a deal with Iran for the release of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe?

Three years ago Tony Hall contacted Iran for permission to produce a programme about historic Persia…..Samira Ahmed, who fronts it, explained on R4 today what the programme was about and it seemed to be a bit of positive spin to try and change your image and perceptions of ‘Iran’ and sell us a new narrative…..

    Art of Persia

‘Since Ayatollah Khomeini brought revolution to Iran in 1979, the country has become a byword for radical Islam. Western documentary teams are seldom given access, but broadcaster and journalist Samira Ahmed has been given a rare opportunity to discover Iran’s rich, colourful culture and extraordinary history.

In this first episode, Samira journeys to places rarely seen by western audiences to reveal how the Persian Empire was born, the mysterious writing of its early people and how Iran’s powerful kings built a vast empire that became the envy of the ancient world.’

Sky reported a couple of weeks ago that her release might be imminent…

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe: British-Iranian woman could be granted clemency soon, says husband

‘Her husband, Richard Ratcliffe, told Sky News he was “hopeful” she was among 3,000 prisoners Iran’s supreme leader has announced will be granted clemency.

“It feels like we’re quite close,” he said.

“It feels like things could still go wrong. We’ve had a number of times where we’ve been down to the prosecutor’s office and been told to come back in a week’s time so that might be happening again.” ‘

Considering the BBC Persia has been banned from Iran for years and many of its Iranian journalists imprisoned or refused entry to the country, not just Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, this is quite a breakthrough although a basic news service had been agreed before…

‘BBC Accepts Iran’s Demand Of Blackout On Its Persian Sites Amid Regime’s Attacks On Press’

‘The morale of BBC Persian journalists has been “deeply affected” by a management decision to abide by reporting restrictions in exchange for access to Iran, the National Union of Journalists has claimed.

The BBC agreed a deal with Iranian authorities preventing BBC Persian from using material gathered in the Islamic nation in exchange for access for Middle East correspondent Martin Patience.’

So what deal did Hall do to get Samira Ahmed in to do a series of promotional programmes about Iran?

And if Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe isn’t released?

    • StewGreen says:

Pug , the BBC is awash with BAME speciality programming these days
      7:30pm BBC1 Clive Myrie’s BLM special
8pm BBC4 Black and British: A Forgotten History
Historian David Olusoga explores the enduring relationship between Britain and people whose origins lie in Africa, looking back over significant people and events throughout history.
      9pm Samira’s Iranian Art

BBC2 BBC lefty favourite Brian Cox

      Sunday night
BBC2 Reggie Yates: Life and Death in Chicago
The broadcaster travels to Chicago to investigate gun crime in President Obama’s adopted hometown to find out why so many of the victims are young African-American men. He hears first-hand the accusations of police brutality,

  11. pugnazious says:

The BBC campaigning and not investigating?

The 5G con that could make you sick

‘Since the UK went into coronavirus lockdown something strange has been happening –attacks on telephone masts and telecom workers are being reported all across the country. That’s because some people think that 5G can make you sick –from corona virus to cancer and a whole host of other symptoms. Even more worryingly, some scientists say they can prove that it’s harmful. But at a time when many businesses are struggling, could this apparent threat be helping to fuel a whole industry of strange and expensive products? And worse, could stoking these fears actually be damaging people’s health?
File on 4 investigates how bad science could be making you sick.’

So…the BBC is absolutely convinced 5G is totally safe, so much so that if you ask any questions at all you are some sort of conspiracy theorist, freak or criminals stoking fears and putting lives at risk…or is that 5G putting lives at risk?

Never mind that the EU admits it hasn’t done any testing on the safety of 5G, that hundreds of scientists and doctors have written to the EU to press for studies on 5G and that many reputable organisations have raised questions about its safety.

But the BBC doesn’t want to know.

Maybe this is a debt repaid to Ofcom…which regulates what you can say on TV…and curiously is also very insistent that nobody criticises 5G….or not so curious you might say as Ofcom is the body charged with developing and promoting 5G in Britain…lol. Conflict of interest anyone?

Ofcom packed with BBC types will no doubt be scratching the BBC’s back in any future issues such as a government demanding the BBC stop being biased….all such complaints will be quietly filed away never to be heard about again.

    • Thoughtful says:

The worst thing about 5G is the association with ID2020, the tracking group which was up until the pandemic openly boasting it would be delivered via the ‘vaccination platform’.

Chips implanted subdermally would use the 5G network to communicate with the central hub to track a person without their knowledge or permission.

    • StewGreen says:

As an electrical engineer I say that 5G conspiracy theories are rubbish.
It’s the same for scares about cellphones
#1 There is no physics for harm in the real world normal operation.
The power away from the transmitter diminishes exponentially by distance from transmitter
Such although you don’t work on a live transmitter, a few metres away is OK

#2 Actual observations, where are the dead bodies ?

#3 Big corps don’t spend $ billions, building infrastructure, if there is a threat from getting sued for trillions in US courts.

  12. digg says:

The BBC today getting very excited about the statement from BP re reducing oil production and aiming for carbon neutrality. Much virtual clapping going on!

A few “facts” for them to check.

The US leads the World in oil production with around 15 million barrels a day.

Next comes Saudi Arabia with around 12 million barrels a day

Followed by Russia with around 11 million barrels a day

Iraq, Iran and China are the next 3 with around 3 – 4 million barrels each..

The UK comes in at 21st with under 1 million barrels a day.

So what can we predict from this?

Russia and Saudi Arabia will concentrate hard on selling their oil to China and the developing industrial nations who are not that concerned about Climate crap etc.. (The USA may follow).

They will in turn continue to expand their already rapid production rate of goods to sell Worldwide.

In the UK energy prices will rocket (as well as all goods requiring energy to produce them). This will price their goods out of the Global market as well as placing enormous strain on Joe Public via his hugely increasing transport and heating costs.

Combine this with what I fully expect to be up to 4 million UK job losses through the CV fiasco which will almost certainly result in far higher Income Tax, VAT etc. and the UK will be staring at the thick-end of the biggest slump it has experienced for a hundred years.

There will also be a scarcity of jobs for all the ‘hopefuls’ leaving universities when they finally realise that they need jobs from the people that hate so much.

British industry and innovation will be scooped up by Foreign Investors at knock-down prices and profits will go overseas.

On the up-side, the smiling “Green Chappie” they dragged on to applaud the move will sleep happily at night in his Yurt somewhere.

    • Sluff says:

The Far Left do not give a flying f*** about business or private sector jobs.
Our companies will slowly wither away as they seek to pander to LeftMob in ways which make no commercial sense, and what remains will be required to be nationalised.
Any opposition to these processes will require a period of ‘re-training’ in state facilities.

  13. pugnazious says:

Will the BBC be fact-checking social media photos that edit out black people and photoshop wording and adding in insulting images?

    • StewGreen says:

      Jason “sex pest” Manford
… caught 3 times sex pesting.
Even harassed a contestant on one of his shows with late night pervy texts.

      Now sharing parody doctored photos
      which stir HATE & division

      • StewGreen says:

BTW that sex pest’s tweet got 23,000 Likes

A big part of virtue signalling is DEFLECTION from your own flaws.

  14. Sluff says:

    Just a quickie.
During the coverage of the BLM marches in London over the weekend there was a huge placard. Underneath the main slogan was a series of minor ones.
The one I particularly noticed was ‘Refugees Welcome’ .
BLM. Refugees welcome. Another proof that the Far Left have their fingerprints all over this. What a shame Boris does not have the b**** to call it out for what it really is.

  15. StewGreen says:

ITV local news “Far right trouble at protests”
the words used throughout was “anti racism protesters” on one side , and “far right “on the other

Leeds : “Here’s footage of the antiracists, here’s the far right at the war memorial kept separate by the police
, but at their end there was some violence”
.. but the reporter gave no details, nor showed any footage, she just left it hanging
.. then a nice chat with the BLM guy

Cleethorpes : starts with a mention of “2 far right people”, but footage just showed tightly packed BLM crowd
“And at Huddersfield there was no trouble”

  16. Fedup2 says:

The only thing i can think of with the BBC is that they all live in a world -a ‘culture ‘ where there is an unwritten expectation all the way up the chain .
It is insular . They are all both anxious about their position and ambitious for the next one .

The result is that it has become a social justice campaign organisation for the things it chooses to go for . There is no input from the ordinary public – just left wing pressure groups

The thing which really gets me is the lack of whistle blowers who come out of the BBC to tell us how it is .

As an aside – someone somewhere was referring to the captain who raised a load of cash – and wondered why no one went back and asked him about the churchill statue ….

    • taffman says:

“The thing which really gets me is the lack of whistle blowers who come out of the BBC to tell us how it is .”
Risk of losing their pensions perhaps?
Andrew Bridgen MP is fully aware of the Blatant bias of the scum media . But what will he Boris and Cummings do about it ?
How about running Al Beeb as a charity and rid the poor of the Telly Tax.

      • taffman says:

“Coronavirus in Wales: Shops could reopen at next lockdown review”
“will be well prepared if we can give the go-ahead to reopen on Friday”.
Drakeford the power crazy Dalek issues his edict .
Wales should scrap the assembly and use the money saved for better things.

      • Oaknash says:

Boris will never act on the Quisling BBC other than to regurgitate regular empty threats the BBC know this which is why they have not modified their behavior one iota and seem to now actually enjoy baiting him.

I think they may have something on him.
If they dont then he is even more utterly incompetent and weaker than I first thought.

  17. StewGreen says:

BBC local news now they have got the only famous black person in Lincolnshire on Benjamin Zephaniah on
to do a BLM chat , he bangs on about Churchill causing the Bengal famine
.. which Maajid Nawaz called FakeNews on Sunday

    • fakenewswatcher says:

Stew – I remember BZ. A few years ago, he came third in a bbc favourite poetry competition, after Donne and TS Eliot.
No sign of Shakespeare, Chaucer, Milton, Herbert, Keats, Wordsworth, Blake, Coleridge, Burns, Shelley, Dryden, Pope, Arnold, Owen, Sassoon , Dickinson, Frost, de la Mare, Larkin, Betjeman, Hughes, Plath, E. Thomas, RS Thomas, Armitage …one could go on endlessly. I voted for the No1, so very common, then.
Still wondering today whether all of them really couldn’t make it to third place, or if..?

  18. G.W.F. says:

Tonight BBC 6pm news presenter referred the far right demonstration over the weekend.

The bias is so obvious. Soon people will turn away from the BBC in large numbers and it will only have the support of Boris and his Government.

  19. Beltane says:

Quite how the loud voices demanding mandatory 10-year jail sentences for desecration of memorials are going to face reality might be a question for their psychiatrists as they impose all the best bits of schizophrenia on their limited mental faculties.
They want, of course, to punish ‘right-wing beer swilling louts’ but sadly, although confronted by police in full riot gear, the ‘louts’ made no attempts to tear down the barriers erected by mayor Khan to steal their thunder.
We all know that all the vandalism was three days earlier, from BLM and Antifa thugs, but as per usual those ‘in power’ lack the moral fibre to say so. The way in which the public are increasingly treated as dim and thoughtless worms, brainwashed into subservience, may well come back to bite because, as they say, even the worm will turn, one day.

    • fakenewswatcher says:

Beltane – amazing what a huge, endless narrative you can construct with a single little (obscure) photograph and a tenuous link to ‘far-right’!
      ‘Impartial’ bbc. Truly amazing…

    • Lefty Wright says:

I’m certainly a right wing beer swiller but a lout? Never sir.
I hope to live long enough to witness the worm turning ferociously and seeing the scum media throw their dummies out of the pram.
      Free At Last!!

  20. LastChanceSaloon says:

Reference the location of the urination. Near, nearby, close to, etc, according to other media.

Man jailed for urinating at PC Keith Palmer memorial during protest”

“Met Police Cdr Bas Javid said..”

What did you think of the BBC report about the Swedish Dimbos Bas?
The ones with “cuts to the neck”.
Were the murderers present when you received the “muslim of the year” award?

    The World’s Least Trusted Broadcaster.
Suggesting a stream of urine was directed at the memorial.

    • Eddy Booth says:

Pissing man turned himself in to the police and admitted guilt, but still got 14 days in Prison.?
I would have said I noticed racist graffiti chalked onto the wall, and decided to hose it off…

      • Lefty Wright says:

If it was me and I came up with that tale the judge would take one look at my hose and say “Nah, take him down””

        • Beltane says:

I wonder where he’ll be jailed? Terribly sad if history repeated itself…..

    • StewGreen says:

So BBC say he was “urinating *AT * PC Keith Palmer memorial”, and being a Spurs fan he missed by a mile
      instead of saying “next to”

Again its so strange the BBC language games
      go in one direction only.

BTW was there outage when the Israeli was released after agreeing to a £1000 fine, after urinating at what he knew was a super sacred site ?

      • StewGreen says:

BTW after the guy HANDED HIMSELF IN
        Sadiq tweeted
“NEW: An arrest has now been made.
Thanks to @metpoliceuk for acting so swiftly. ”

as if credit was to the police

  21. Guest Who says:

    BBC News, in a nutshell.

Beyoncé has called for charges against the officers involved in the killing of a black woman shot eight times while asleep in her home.

    Surprisingly, #CCBGB

  22. Fedup2 says:

Guest – i ll raise you a black man in tallahasee florida now charged with the murder of a nigerian black woman and a white old lady – both were campaigning for the blacks ….
Cant see that one making the BBC – convicted or not …

    • StewGreen says:

      Local reporter tweeted

Oluwatoyin Salau was a Nigerian immigrant.
who complained about a black man attempting sexual assault
The two bodies were found at the home of alleged suspect named Aaron Glee Jr.

In March she complained another sexual assault attempt involving Ivan a 32 year old Ghanaian

  23. pugnazious says:

    Telegraph editorial…

‘The campaigners pressing for the eradication of our past are a minority not supported by most of the country. They seek a Maoist disavowal of British history or, as Mr Johnson puts it, they want to “photoshop the entire cultural landscape”.

They certainly need to be resisted – but by way of debate and argument, not thuggish violence.’

Trouble is they are a minority with a powerful and dominant broadcast organisation backing them to the hilt…it is no good engaging in debate and argument if the ‘enemy’ controls the limits of that debate and can declare what is and is not true or what is immoral or what is or is not offensive.

The problem isn’t so much the violent and extreme groups exploiting George Floyd’s death but the BBC.

Tackle the BBC and much of this will be pushed to the sidelines, back into the shadows where it belongs.

Does Boris have the balls to do it? I suspect not…in fact I’m absolutely sure he will do nothing to rein in the BBC….which leaves the door open to other people to take matters into their own hands.
I spoke to a thoroughly respectable businessman, salt of the earth, solid citizen and taxpayer today and he’s fuming at the BBC’s coverage….he looks on and sees what we all can see…Muslims bomb us and murder us and suddenly they become a protected species, untouchable and favoured, similarly we see Blacks launch attacks on us and our society and what happens? Politicians fall at their feet, literally, along with police officers and the commentariat all egged on by a corrupt and dangerous media which seeks to demonise and belittle white people, their culture, history and society.

You can work out what his conclusion was…it wasn’t debate and argument.

The BBC is stirring up a hornet’s nest and spreading hate and division.

Someone needs to get a grip of it and end its baleful rule over us.

That’s why, unlike many others, we made a choice: to keep Guardian reporting open for all, regardless of where they live or what they can afford to pay.

We’re determined to provide journalism that helps each of us better understand the world, and take actions that challenge, unite, and inspire change – in times of crisis and beyond. “Most of the mainstream media no longer even pretends to be even-handed. The BBC apparently believes that Rowling’s view that biological sex exists is “controversial”; it is, but only in the sense that a noisy minority “controversially” believes we are ruled by lizard aliens. Astonishingly, this weekend the BBC allowed, without challenge, a Black Lives Matter (BLM) representative to equate Adolf Hitler with Winston Churchill — the very man who brought thousands of West Indians to volunteer to fight and die in the battle against fascism. It really isn’t an accident that so many of us in the Caribbean are called Winston.”

One problem in the Twitter age, is that short attention spans and a massive information overload, combine to ensure that little serious research into issues is done. There is no time, and little inclination.
This gives the MSM and the beeb, in particular, a HUGE advantage.
They are there to entertain you, and (pretend) to inform you. They have scores of channels already. If you want to find out what really goes on, you need to take time and make an effort. Really, I’ve only had the time since retirement; I’d have to go back to my uni days in the dark ages, to find a parallel.
It is very easy for them to dominate.
Think, how LITTLE it takes: an obscure photo of urination and a quick click to link it to ‘far right’, and you’re done. You get paid. And a pat on the back. Why spend time and effort on research to check the facts, if that will DISPLEASE THE BOSS anyway? And he needs paying, too. And his boss.
You have the photo and the label: a narrow path to follow up. You know the narrative.
And ‘some’ get paid very, very well. Why upset the apple cart?
Take the EASY route, is the motto. Other media are telling the same story. You must be right?
This alone, is a BIG hurdle to overcome. Yet, on here, we try.
    And try.

    • Fedup2 says:

Fake – the other ingredient to the mess is 25 hour news cycles which demands that something is ‘breaking ‘ or a ‘news flash ‘ with a big banner covering a third of the screen however old or insignificant the ‘information ‘ might be –

Add to that the ‘on tap ‘Expert being put up with telling the viewer their background ( eg NHS medic is actually Labour Party activist ) and you’ve got impressive disinformation or narrative control by the evil BBC .

      • fakenewswatcher says:

Fed – one could almost half-forgive them, stuck in this 25 hr. news cycle, if
        -you didn’t have to pay for mainly garbage and propaganda;
        -they made the effort, given their resources, to bring new stuff, carefully researched;
-and this new stuff did not conform to all their narratives.
As things stand, what you’re going to see, especially the ‘take’/angle, and hear is 95% predictable.
Imagine this, for instance: Evan Davis tells us, the ‘BLM’ slogan replacing names on footballers shirts is a BAD idea, and he thinks it’s PC propaganda. Unimaginable. He picked up the ball from Mair, and ran in exactly the same direction, same dribble and all.
        Lotsa dribble.

Perhaps Maxi can fix it when he comes on shift?

(A thought: If the BBC can’t report accurately events within a mile or so of its own extreme-left, racist, cesspit why should we believe anything that they report?

The Twitter Age…Take one example, of my above opinion piece: BBC hero and general saint, the late Mr Mandela.
In 1994 he was impressive: a conciliator and statesman, released from many years in jail to fight an oppressive system. An easy tale to understand, absorb and identify with. Now here’s the thing: much of this is correct. You’d have to wade through a lot of stuff to find a dark side.
If you want to find it, the computer/internet age is great; if you have the time and inclination.
I’ve only had the time for ten years, and that hasn’t been a lot.
Tales of ANC corruption and incompetence were there. Many whites killed. Many blacks dancing about freely, singing ‘Kill the boer’, kill the farmer. Many of them ANC. Mr Mandela’s ANC? The one beeb interrupted all their programmes for, when he passed? The saint? So, what was going on?
Ten years later, I’m still only scratching the surface of the ANC terror tale, pre-1994, spurred on by the current MSM narrative of good blacks and bad whites. (Should be said: there were whites in the ANC, generally committed Communists.) Post 1994 is quite easy, e.g. bomb going off in the Pretoria city centre.
You keep coming up with new names, books, videos, for pre-1994, all the time.
What is striking, is that the victims are almost always black, as are the perpetrators.
Now, the bbc will be happy now and then, to talk about Hutus and Tutsis, even the Congo. But you’re going to have to dig deep, to uncover the Angolan stuff. Angola? Is that in Africa?
I’m currently trying to find out about ANC complicity in the Angolan massacre of 27 May 1977, in articles written by SA Communist insider, Paul Trwhela. 25 000 victims. Mugabe got away with slightly more in Matabeleland. Is that in Africa?
The SA Communist Party is a long-standing ally of the ANC. I’ve been researching what went on in other ANC camps, this is a recent discovery.
And will have to be checked and double-checked. Time. Do I really want to do this? Does anybody care?
The mere fact that beeb are a million light years from doing it, is a big incentive.
For them, a single photograph of a urinator, and a a glib two word phrase to link to, does the trick. Confirms the drum beat of good and bad.
Why try to contradict their easily financed narrative? My kids used to watch the X-files, and I’m thinking: is the Truth really out there? Beeb won’t tell us.
And if it is, who will live long enough to tell the tale?

HYPOCRISY STORM The Guardian facing calls to ‘shut down’ over founder’s use of slaves and siding against Lincoln in US Civil War

THE GUARDIAN is facing calls to “shut down” for hypocrisy after backing BLM protests when it branded Abraham Lincoln “abhorrent” in the US Civil War.

Originally called the Manchester Guardian, the paper was founded in 1821 by John Edward Taylor using profits from a cotton plantation that used slaves.

After his death in 1844, the paper is said to have then demanded Manchester’s cotton workers be forced back into work.

Now with a growing backlash against statues linked to slavery and racism, hundreds have signed a petition taking aim at the Guardian’s history.

This petition to shut the paper down has been organised by novelist Tony Parsons, who tweeted: “Shameful links to slave-owning Confederate south. Built on the profits of cotton fields. Shut down The Guardian Newspaper.”
