Do you notice the BBC has obsessions ? One obsession is Dominic Cummings . Now it is about ‘ largely peaceful ‘ protests on behalf of a criminal who was killed by american police .
‘Largely peaceful ‘ -by the way – In BBC speak -now means 27 london coppers injured and some hospitalised …. It’s lucky none are ‘largely dead’.

BBC Today programme pretty much said that we had used up all drugs, right across the board, during the pandemic. So, we weren’t importing drugs at all during this period ? And, given the complete devastation of the rest of the health service whilst all resources were focussed on the Coronavirus, new prescribing was obviously very much reduced (almost to zero ?). And the medicines used in the cases of Coronovirus were very specific and limited in number, because we did not have a proper ‘cure’.

So, logically – where does this scare story meet reality ? Or is it only in the minds of the Remoaners, who tried the same scare story not that long ago, but just didn’t have a pandemic like the Coronovirus to work with. Very fishy.

As an aside. I was living in Singapore and witnessed at a distance when they had a riot in Little India. By Singapore standards it was unprecedented and a major shock. It kicked off when a man (drunk) was ordered off a bus, was run over and killed. Police Cars were burned and the ambulance trying to get to the scene trashed. Initially only the normal police were involved and in trouble.
Once things looked like they were getting out of hand, the riot police arrived . They surrounded and isolated the the main perpetrators (about 300) , arrested around 40 -50 which discouraged the rest of the mob.
It was over in less than an hour with no injuries or fatalities. Afterwards the main vandals were either imprisoned or had their passes revoked and deported.
Unfortunately for the general public it resulted in alcohol sales being banned after midnight so you couldn’t run out of beer at a party any more !
The lesson for me was if you deal with riots firmly and don’t try to kill the rioters you stand a chance of stopping them and preventing copycat actions. For a police state they were remarkably restrained .

I for one am now sick to the back teeth with demonstrations taking place throughout the country at the moment.

Any sympathy I had for the protests evaporated when they started to deface our national monuments to our war dead, these lumps of Primordial Slime need to realise that if it wasn’t for the war dead who sacrificed everything they would not be in a position to do what they do.

The time has come for the Government to take the gloves of and go in hard.

Whilst serving in Northern Ireland in the late 70’s we were involved in suppressing a few riots and rest assured the only way was to go in hard and take the fight to them.

These over privelidged cretins have had it to easy for to long. I promise you if we hit them hard they will think again about rioting in the future.

The government needs to ignore the little petals on the far left and ignore the lefty luvvies in the Media and the snow flakes who run these bizzaire quangos.

Racism is appalling, we all know that but rioting to make your point is not helping your cause…

Not only that these selfish sods have most probably sent the “R” rating through the roof and could have possibly condemned us to further lock downs..

Dafyyd I’m with you, however I don’t think the powers that be will see it like that. It’s all about popularity ratings and the next election.

I believe that what we are really seeing is a hard push by the left to recruit members disguised as legit protestors. They would like nothing more than the Government to go all crack-down as they would see this as a recruitment drive for the left and the ultimate removal of the Government.

Therefore our almost totally left media will encourage them and re-paint their despicable actions as noble sentiment.

If you applied the same rationale in other spheres it could get interesting to say the least.

For instance if you were of the opinion that fast-food outlets like McD’s and KFC have generally been a key driver in creating a generation of unhealthy overweight youngsters (which I happen to believe) and thus are a hazard to their life and health and you decided that enough was enough, would it be acceptable to start turning up mob-handed and trashing their outlets in the name of your cause?

We have already witnessed the begininngs of this with the Vegan meat protestors in action in some of our more ‘enlightened’ towns like Brighton.

What could follow? Christian Churches ransacked? Conservative social clubs targeted? I can think of many more that might become targets, particularly if the Police dismally fail in their job as they have with this situation.

Spot on but I think the public mood dictates a hard response. Whoever I talk to they are seriously pi–ed off at what’s happening at the moment, the media are mis- judging the public’s mood.

Without exception most want the government to get tough, even my older brother who is a rabid Leftie thinks things could escalate if it’s not nipped in the bud.

Like I said racism of any form is appalling but certain radical organisations see an opportunity her to vent there cause by whatever means by piggy backing these demonstrations

He is not as confrontational as Eddie Mair could be and sounds somewhat milder and more reasonable but the same bias persists. He talked to Tariq Ali, for instance, without any caveats about this entryist and his extreme past. He gently pushes guests to say what is required. If he ever plays devil’s advocate, it is in a half-hearted way. My opinion of him has declined as I have had more experience of him on ‘PM’ and my optimism when he took over from Mair has not been fulfilled.

What the report showed was the determinedly anti-government bias of the BBC.

Yes, because by way of contrast the very next item was the zero new deaths in Scotland. No such doom-and-gloom qualifications. The tone was decidedly more upbeat, the sun was shining in the coverage and Wee Krankie was quoted approvingly.

Channel 4 news has decided the take the moral low ground this evening with an all-out attack on anything white or British. You could be forgiven for mistaking the broadcast as coming from a UK hating communist banana republic.

An endless stream of black talking heads led by the repulsive Snow into making outrageous claims about how horrible white folk are especially here in the UK.

The final solution is according to them to rewrite history completely for schoolchildren so that they will grow up with no National pride combined with a shocking sense of white guilt. And all this over goings on 2-300 years ago.

This garbage must be making a large percentage of the normal white UK population seeth with anger and will eventually do more to alienate different cultures than anything a few supposedly right-wing activists will ever achieve.

The sheer stupidity of what I’m hearing on the BBC News is driving me daft. The headlines tonight include mobile phone video of some black youth saying, “We want the same energy you give to the white community.” What the hell does that mean? The angry protestors are complaining and whining but specific examples of racist policies or practices which we would be only too glad to help them abolish are not identified. That is because they do not exist. No, I think they are protesting, without really being aware of it, simply against the black condition: Doing less well at school, more likely to be unemployed, higher arrest rate. These aren’t things that society or whites can sort out for them – they are functions of blacks’ lower IQ, higher testosterone levels, greater impulsiveness and shorter time horizons. This is sad, unfortunate, tragic even. But it is true. To prosper in modern technological societies, they are the race least equipped to do so.

You do jest, but he knew all along you just have to ride the soap opera until the next subplot comes in
8 says ago the police were arresting people in HydePark for the 30 people Break the Lockdown protest
On video you could clearly see that the cop arrested the WHITE guy then jumped up in the air to knock the guy to the ground.
Then 7 days later the narrative is there is no problem with breaking the lockdown and that White-people never experience any police violence.

There would be nothing new about that, Pug.

A couple of decades ago I was informed by an officer of a certain English police force (as they then were) that an area of a particular city (not London) with a predominantly black population was, to all intents and purposes, a no-go area for the police.

The officer referred to the area as ‘the frontline’ and explained that the police only ever went there mob-handed, and even then only in response to allegations of very serious criminality.

I disagreed with those tactics then, and I disagree with them now. The law applies to all, to protect, deter and punish. As such, it loses its legitimacy if it is not applied equally to everyone in every part of the country.

LOL….the BBC updated the photo that they cropped to hide the largely violent crowd but are still telling us the police officer fell off her horse because she somehow lost control…not telling us she was being bombarded by missiles….the next paragraph actually blames the police….

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-52954899

‘Two officers were seriously injured, including a Mounted Branch officer who was knocked from her horse when it hit a set of traffic lights whilst appearing to bolt.

She suffered a broken collarbone, a broken rib, and punctured lung, according to the Metropolitan Police Federation

The officer had struggled to stay in control as she was riding down the street surrounded by protesters.’

Ah yes…she, highly trained, struggled to control her highly trained horse as she was surrounded by largely peaceful protestors….gosh…wonder how that could have happened.

    Then we have this….

‘Asia Ahmed, an activist who attended several of the protests, said “these situations don’t come from nowhere”.

She told the BBC she had seen the police “acting very aggressively” towards protesters.

Ms Ahmed, who was not at Downing Street during the disturbance, said a “lot of people” she spoke to “feared for their lives when they saw police horses”.

“I don’t think that was the best tactic to use if you’re trying to create a peaceful environment,” she said.’

Which is why of course they bombarded them with missiles and bikes..because of course that is well known to calm horses down.

It’s all the police’s fault, they provoked the largely peaceful protestors.

Really? When can we hear the following on BBC?

“One hundred thousand nine year white girls feared they would be gang raped when they saw Muslims. They were all correct.”

What Ms Ahmed? It should be half a million!

One day after the appalling events over the weekend, the BBC response to mob rule and desecration of national historical monuments could best be described as ‘apologist’.

None of their broadcast output has been overtly critical. Any ‘public’ contribution over the airways is so carefully stage managed on a spectrum from ‘complete justification’ to ‘very mildly upset but sympathetic’.

My conclusion is the BBC are now openly culturally marxist. There is simply no hiding from this or balance whatsoever anywhere across the organisation. Any mild criticism of BLM/protests is met with a wall of ‘barrister-like’ interrogation. Interrogation completely absent in reverse.

Yesterday, I described them as the the broadcasting wing of ANTIFA. Today my opinion has hardened. Yes I have signed the petition. Yes I have written to my MP.

According to one BBC contributor; ‘We only want statues and street names of those directly involved in the slave trade to be removed’. No argument from Nikki Campbell on this mornings ‘Your Call’.

So let’s explore this logic a little and expose the idiocy of the ’cause’ and extension of this ‘group think’.

More involved in the Slave Trade than Colston is surely the family who set up and directly benefitted from the company he worked for?

Colston became a member of the Royal African Company in 1680. A trading company set up by King Charles II and his brother, The Duke of York. So, by extension, Blenheim palace and ‘Buck’ house should be raised to the ground.

Of course, they only dare go for the easy targets at the moment. But just you wait, this was a taster.

It’s not equality, but domination they seek and the BBC champion and cheer.

Just got indoors after 6.00 and turned on the Radio 4 news to hear the presenter wetting themselves over an Arabic space mission to Mars. Blah blah …. hoped it would encourage arabic children to take up science etc; ultimate aim to have a manned space station on Mars. Blah blah … 800 years ago arabic scientists foremost in science etc. Sounds racist to me.

I groaned inwardly at the prospect of the call to prayer echoing across the Martian wastelands.

For the last week I have completely given up listening to and watching the BBC and the mainstream news.
I had previously watched the news, but also cross referenced it with the newsfeeds etc. on my i pad.
Of course, There is always a different point of view and context doing this.
It gradually dawned on me that by getting news from alternative news feeds (and this site) There is an awful lot of information missing from the MSM, that obviously they don’t want us to hear about.
The events over this last week confirm this.
The omissions of riots, vandalism and the horse incident prove this beyond doubt.
We are at the unbelievable point that anyone who gets their information from the BBC etc. IS NOT getting the full story, and only what their bias allows.
It is incredible that the public are being so misled.
How is it that we can no longer trust our state broadcaster?
So. Thanks to everyone here who provides links, stats, up to the minute news and information that could never be found or brought to the attention of the general public.
This is a valuable asset and we don’t even have to pay for it..

    Rant over…………
