Stew – I’d gladly step forward for a test . When I get a chest infection I really get one -and am wiped out for at least 2 weeks .
I was taking part in a dementia experiment at the end of last year which involved the flu jab . I was told not the get the jab until administered in the medical test .
So guess what ? At the end of October and into November I got really bad ‘flu ‘ – so a bit of me wonders if I was an early victim of the Chinese virus so that I might stop worrying about it …..
I’m more scared of the local hospital than the virus ….
I’m waiting for the test to check if you have had covid to be generally available to the public. I would be interested to have that as I am wondering the terrible virus i had in january which took me weeks to recover from was actually covid. It floored me and I’ve since found that my symptoms were indeed linked to the virus. My daughter had gone for a holiday to New York and came straight to me for Christmas and she started feeling unwell with a cough but after years of working on the airlines she has built up a good immune system and it was a mild case.
By the way I hope you all know anyone can have a pneumonia jab at the docs and a hematologist who sees me said to have one every 5/6 years if you have an underlying health problem. There is a myth that it lasts a lifetime, it doesn’t, if you haven’t got any problems you still need one every 10 years, also I only found out last year that over 70s are entitled to a chicken pox jab, shingles can be terrible . Check these out at your surgery, they dont seem to advertise these things.
Fed, I too had the flu jab last September, and like you my bum only saw the bed and the sofa for 10 days. I was strongly advised to have the jab, as I hadn’t bothered in previous years (and I was fine !), so I shall think twice before having it again.
Bris – I might have miswrote – but I never actually got the flu jab – the medics made me wait and in the meantime I got the flu !

Personally, I didn’t think Cumberbatch was much like what I’ve seen of Cummings, but curious how similar their names are, isn’t it?
It was interesting, funny in places, lots of actors getting to overplay various people in stereotypical fashion. Boris in a blonde wig, bumbling around, and pontificating vaguely, Aaron Banks as a fat, foul mouthed, lager drinking, oik, that sort of thing.
Was it realistic? I doubt it. Was it ‘unbiased’ – I think it tried to be, and handled Brexit voters with a bit more sympathy than the usual ‘you’re all bigoted racists’ drivel.
My impression is the Cambridge Analytica angle was played up (personally, I doubt the online campaigns made a significant difference to the result), and they left you thinking Vote Leave had probably broken the law and Brexit was going to be some kind of immediate disaster… both of which have been proven wrong, and which date the drama already.
Overall, worth watching, yes, if nothing else for a bit of a (heavily dramatised) ‘insider’ view, and for the humour and acting.

Diabetics are also more at risk.
Age is a definite factor.
Also BME after adjusting for all social and other factors are 1.8 times more likely to die than whites.
Children are almost never badly affected.
That is about it and it appears to be true everywhere in the northern hemisphere.
In Africa the expected deaths in vast numbers have not occured. We need to know why . We should be looking hard at Madagascar. The virus is not progressing there at all.
This is a matter for scientists and researchers not SJWs.
To make this a question of identity is to condemn many to illness and death.

Last weeks furore over Emily Maitlis ‘fame’ on TV and ‘Twitter’ reminds me that it was the BBC insisted that all its staff should have Twitter accounts. To enable this, the BBC provided all with new phones (new) Apple iPhone for that very same purpose. This was an incentive – so that the BBC used to get staff ‘on-side’ when it moved from White City to Manchester Salford Quay.
So when the BBC state that a member of staff have ‘over reached’, or ‘gone beyond, or ‘over stepped the mark’ on Twitter — its worth remembering who pays for Emily ‘Meritless’ phone bill. It is , of course the BBC. A little BBC perk ‘expenses’ to be ‘on-board’. Gary Linekar is much the same with his ‘Tweets’. Graham Norton is rather quiet on his “tweets’ but you can be sure he’s got one too. In fact you would be hard pressed to find anyone at the BBC without one. For the BBC it can seamlessly can ‘herd’ (lefties) into taking action that the BBC can then ‘deny’ later. We all know Emily Maitlis’s views, that is why she was employed (or groomed) by the BBC. Very rarely do they employ anyone ‘outside’ the agency – who may have the ‘wrong views’. They usually get demoted.
The BBC encourage its staff to show support for left wing causes (and they oblige). And then BBC are able to deny involvement on Twitter even though its patently obvious they share the same views…

The reason that I am writing this was an admission that i heard (last week) on the LBC business slot that Jack Docherty, the head of Twitter when asked about his political allegiance stated that they were a ‘left-wing’ biased company (so opposed to Trump (in particular) and that is why Twitter had made am ALERT to ‘censor’ a Trump Twitter account and were threatened by Trump – in return- If they dare try. Trump uses there own media giant against them and it seems to work predictably.

I just thought it interesting that the BBC use Twitter for very much the same reason (cheap self promotion) . Twitter is a good fit for the BBC and cheap marketing tool too (at general election time) – if you can get the UK taxpayers to pay for it all, and we do. And I may add that BBC empire at Salford Quay is ‘rented’ (not owned) from a consortium that pays ‘non-dom’ tax from an Arab ‘investment’ firm and part (UK based) Shopping Mall magnate (both registered off-shore) for tax reasons. The BBC of course pays no Corporation Tax either… The BBC is full of ‘talent’ (like Maitlis) and that is why the BBC encourage its staff to behave the way they do on Twitter.
As for Maitlis, she will be praised at the BBC for being biased (something the BBC can then later deny). You see it would affect the BBC income if that were true. So it has to be denied that the BBC is in any way biased and of the ‘left’ persuasion.
What we hear is what they want you to hear.

I am absolutely definitely positively convinced the msm would love nothing more at the moment than rioting to break out here soon, that’s their agenda at the moment (post cummings) that’s why they keep flogging to death the riot stories from USA hoping that it will copycat like kick off here then bingo they can blame the Torys of course. I am seriously worried what will come of all these goings on when will the s*it stirring it stop? What is their endgame? a labour government or just total anarchy ? Although I now avoid the news as much as I possibly can, I despair of what little bits I hear, just imagine what a great forward looking country we could be without this total negativity we hear non stop all day every day it just wears you down I really feel I need to escape!
