Weekend Thread 7 March 2020

The new Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden has said that the BBC needs ‘diversity of Thinking ‘ – the softest of criticism of the Far Left monster that is the Biased BBC .

How will it react ? Will it suddenly turn ‘ pro Britain ‘ ?or continue to pour out crude propaganda supporting its selected favourite groups and ideas whilst ignoring issues of great concern to those who are forced to pay for it – such as the mass rape of children or the majority’s belief in Brexit ?

A bit off the pace so apologies if already covered.

The BBC, which I will spell out as the supposed British Broadcasting Corporation, has announced its first winner of the BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year !!!!!!!!
    Nope, me neither.
And at the time of writing, it is on the news webshite front page !!!
Must be a contender for today’s ‘You can’t make it up’ award.

Next up. BBC transgender wheelchair-using Outer Mongolian basketball player of the month. As voted for by …..errr…… literally no-one.
The BBC. Totally awash with free licence fee payers’ cash to waste.

    You voted BLUE
    …. you’ve got GREEN-lunacy

Look at this tweet from Chancellor Rishi

584 Likes, 584 replies almost all against 80 retweets
    That is hardly popular backing

No, “net zero carbon” is a PR BS phrase
#UKnotSafeForBusiness whilst the Tories like you Rishi virtue signal to the #FakeGreens cultists

Why would anyone sane invest in the UK if real maths and science are not respected ?

McDonnell revealed secret info about the number of homeless deaths in his FANTASY WORLD
and Marr didn’t challenge him on it
    so he must agree
Their belief that 700,000 homeless DIE on the street each year
means homelessness is pretty much at an end
cos in 10 years that means 7 million less people who need homing
or 14 million less over 20 years

@johnmcdonnellMP went to the same maths teacher as @HackneyAbbott ????
He literally just said on @AndrewMarr9 that 700,000 homeless people died in the U.K. last year
Then Marr next said “John McDonell it’s been very good talking with you”

@Shelter estimates there are around around 320,000 homeless TOTAL in the UK.

Don’t you find it depressing about the sheer lack of calibre of current politicians – particularly the Labour Front Bench . – Namely – Butler – wrong daily – Rayner – Corbyn – abbot – and McDonnell – pretending to be respectable by wearing a suit . Even the coming leader of the pack – Starmer – isn’t a numbers man and showed a lack of gravity when he was interviewed by Brillo earlier in the week …..

I’ve said here before that I think the coming budget will not be deep but just a fags and booze job . But whatever it is the statement by Corbyn made immediately after will be a rant without numbers like the last time .

The BBC will repeat Labour claims . I just hope government ministers still refuse to appear on the BBC but I understand that their resolve has been weakened by the Chinese bug .

Making sure it raises barely a ripple the BBC report on the PM’s long awaited visit to make the floods all better, under the Hereford & Worcester page of the website, with a side bar reference on the front page

Time for a new Thread – I’m not sure whether to be panicking and buying – or both – and what do I panic buy ?

      Don’t panic, buy the usuals. * 😉

Then you can always use them up even if beyond BB & UB dates as long as they are not mouldy or ‘off’ in some other way. The new stuff you buy after that you can always give to foodbanks while the household consumes the out of date stuff.

      * How’s that for a misleading headline? I ‘could’ work for the BBC. They ‘could’ pay me £150,000 p.a.. I ‘might’ like that.

Thank you for the advice – it just seems fashionable to ‘panic ‘ so I just thought it nice to join in . I hope they haven’t run out of Hennessy ….
