Watchers of the Far Left Biased BBC will be heartened by the fear of cut backs and , hopefully , job losses . Perhaps their world isn’t as cosy as they assumed with the accompanying shock that a growing number of people just see its’ bias and care less for it .

“They don’t follow those sports and they don’t like either being forced to talk about them or not being included.”

Beet me to it Dover, i nearly spat my Pot Noddle out……….And why isn’t the BBC apologising over getting the Basketball players up on the News Page, they have one about Johnathan Ross (White Hetro Male) saying that a singer on ITV masked singer might be a BME lady that’s dead ….and the ensuing apology is there to see…….. I cannot wait till the day that they announce that non payment of licence fee is not a criminal event, we should all meet up somewhere in the Midlands to celebrate.

My view is that the more looney the Wokists become the better because it will alienate ordinary folks all the more quickly. The editors at the BBC really do seem to think that most of those who pay the LF share their idiotic beliefs. If Boris has the balls to decriminalise non payment of the LF I think that the Foul Corporation will lose a lot more than the £200 million it predicts. People are sick to death of hearing these idiotic views presented as main stream and virtuous. Everyone is itching to tell them where to stick their Wokism.

Who says ? One woman heading one org the Chartered Management Institute.
.. Is her opinion NEWS or PR ?
It’s not news so why are resources being wasted promoting it

Secondly the opinion is instantly sexist
cos it implies that all MEN want to talk about football
      and all WOMEN don’t.
It just appears to be an excuse to attack men.
Sure workplace banter should respect whatever your colleagues are interested in ..gender shouldn’t enter in to it.

Never mind the women, how about people like me. I am seriously deaf after a lifetime of loud noises (target shooting, naval gunfire, the wife) but play a lot of golf. My hearing was so bad that I always excused myself from the post-game clubhouse gathering as I just couldn’t understand a word that was being said. My NHS (envy of the world) hearing aids were hopeless. I finally invested £2500 in a pair of aids from Specs. Absolute magic, so the first time after I had them fitted I stayed behind to join in the conversation – and found out it was nothing but football! I hate Wendyball with a passion. Back to the excuses and leaving.

Dover, someone I know is pushing 80 or is just over 80 years of age – can’t remember which – she is a rather large (white) lady and a very, very big Lewis Hamilton fan, watches all the GPs if she can.

Years ago, I knew some ladies who loved to watch Test Match Cricket. Some of them turned down the TV sound so they could have the TMS commentary on their radio instead, they were that discriminating.

My mother and grandmother loved Wimbledon tennis. Granny left this life before Pot Black was invented, but Mum with Dad in tow enjoyed it in the early years even though they were watching in black & white. (I made sure the contrast was just ‘right’.) Then there was the golf. Cannot remember what the Palmer, Player and Nicklaus series (they were known as the Big Three) was called on the BBC2. Later on, there was BBC the attempt at Ryder Cup equivalence and both parents made a point of watching that. Obviously, Henry Loghurst’s commentary helped.

On the photo last week where a Ugandan climate protester was cropped out, the Guardian has a two minute video by Vanessa Nakate in which she talks through tears about racism and being “scrubbed out”.

It is an unfortunate incident — speaking from professional experience I can say that the edit the photographer made is understandable according to the rules of composition and image editing. AP say it was cropped “purely on composition grounds” on a tight deadline. (Also converging verticals and colour of clothes would have factored in.)

Decisions like this are made all the time… but it doesn’t help that the POC is the fall guy / girl. Aesthetic conventions are no match for the juggernaut of endemic racism, so there was only ever going to be one outcome.

Anyway now that image editing is a hot topic, how about looking at bbc.co.uk, sofa brochures, bank posters, supermarket ads etc? I look forward to getting my spot on the Guardian lamenting that they are “erasing our voices… erasing our stories…”

I see that last night the troll tried to spin someones statement
“the glaring inconsistencies in the enumeration of those who had been occupying flats in the Grenfell Tower tragedy”
    He/she replied
There were no “glaring inconsistencies”; just another one of the endless (and increasingly desperate) attempts to assimilate Grenfell into a continuing anti-immigrant narrative promoted by sites such as this.

em the troll is purely spinning, cos that original statement says nothing about race.
It was true that at the beginning the authorities had problems enumerating the body count
cos the number of people in each flat didn’t match the rental records.
The troll seems to be implying that if anyone dares to examine the details, they must be racist.
It is an attempt to close down discussion.

Guido notes Jon Pienaar allowed Shazia Mirza to call Savid Javid a ‘coconut’….a well known racist term of abuse…she has of course spelt this out in black and white….

    https://www.shazia-mirza.com/oh-what-a-rotten-bunch-of-coconuts/

‘Some people think the term ‘coconut’ is brazenly racist. It could be, depending on the way that it’s used. When I refer to Sajid Javid as a coconut, I am not referring to his skin colour; I am referring to his lack of loyalties and patriotism towards a group of people from the same background.’

Not just Javid but Priti Patel as well..

‘ Priti Patel (another famous coconut) ‘

However that’s not the only disturbing attitude she has expressed in the same article as she talks about the terrorist Shamima Begum…

‘What Shamima Begum did was stupid, dangerous, disloyal, un-Islamic and depraved. She should be heard, tried, punished, and maybe she should have her British passport revoked, but Sajid Javid should not be the type of person to do it. This is a job for the Rees-Moggs and the Johnsons. Uncle Sajid is the Home Secretary, so unfortunately it is actually his job to do it, but he shouldn’t have done it as a fellow Muslim and brown person.

He should have some unconscious loyalty towards Begum.

So….a terrorist…but hey..she’s Muslim and brown so….let’s ignore all that nasty stuff and embrace her….presumably she thinks the same about all those Muslim grooming/rape gangs…‘very sorry about the little white trash being raped but these are my Muslim bros…..’

Interesting to see how many times Mirza talks of ‘my people’, ‘people from the same background’, ‘fellow Muslims’….sounds just a little racist doesn’t it? She states that she’s only really interested in ‘brown’ people….anyone else is basically racist and can’t possibly have her interests at heart….and if you work for the ‘white’ state you’re a coconut, an uncle tom….no wonder the BBC doesn’t want to touch this……..presumably Mishal Husain is a coconut?

Then again the BBC wasn’t interested in what Mirza said about burkhas and post boxes….whilst being outraged about Boris’ little joke….Mirza compares it to a letterbox, a dustbin liner and Darth Vader….cue appalled BBC outrage….er….no….

‘A Muslim woman knocked on my door last night. I didn’t open the door – I just talked through the letter box to see how she likes it.
For a Muslim girl, the worst thing is not wearing the veil, but to go out with a black man. My dad used to say, “If I ever catch you with a black man I will burn you!” I thought, “But Dad! – then I’ll be black, too!”
When I was growing up in Birminghamabad nobody wore the veil, burqa, dustbin liner, whatever, and now when I go back everyone’s wearing it.
The public should not worry unduly about the burqa. What’s wrong with a teacher coming into school looking like Darth Vader? Kids these days are too sheltered; they need some diversity.’

I think in view of the possibly massive damaging effects that may have been caused to both children and society by this it needs to be investigated officially and thoroughly by a scientifically unbiased body of professionals. If it is found that the series was less than truthful and wilfully designed to be intimidating then action needs to be taken to unmask and call to account all of those involved including the producers, advisors, activist or not and the BBC to deter others from generating factually incorrect media purely for either profit or agenda motivations.

I see OFCOM is OK with battery acid being flung:

The media regulator said the comic’s remarks on satirical show Heresy “had clear potential to offend listeners”.

But it concluded her comments – made last June – were “unlikely to encourage or incite the commission of a crime”.

Ofcom said it also “took into account that Ms Brand immediately qualified her comments, making it clear they should not be taken seriously”.

The broadcasting watchdog said it had considered “the audience’s likely expectations of Jo Brand’s style – and of this established show, which sets out to challenge accepted views in society through provocative comedy.”

So what they are saying is that because Jo Brand is a zero-talent, potty-mouth and everyone know it, she can say what she likes?

How very gratifying to see Al-beeb take a firm stand against antisemitic groups on the far-right.

No doubt they will condemn certain antisemitic scriptures too.

Quran (9:5) – “So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them…”

Verse 5:60 says that Allah transformed Jews of the past into apes and pigs. This is echoed by verses 7:166 and 2:65.

A hadith (Bukhari 54:524) says that Muhammad believed rats to be “mutated Jews” (also confirmed by Sahih Muslim 7135 and 7136).

Verse 7:176 compares unbelievers to “panting dogs” with regard to their idiocy and worthlessness.

Verse 7:179 says they are like “cattle” only worse.

Verse 9:28 says the unbelievers are unclean.

He kept saying the money would be spent locally without an explanation of how people couldn’t spend the money on Amazon. Nor was he asked where the money would come from, who would have to earn it. Why did Look North even give space to this? The only thing I can say in mitigation is that Peter has already read an email saying it is an idea from cloud cuckoo land. It was just a mad socialist idea of the sort we rejected at the General Election. Are posters here suffering the same left wing propaganda on their local news?

You think Linekar said all this all out his own thinking? Seriously?

It’s headlining on the BBC webpage! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51270012

It’s from an interview in BBC print arm The Grauniad
      https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jan/27/gary-lineker-interview-bbc-var-klopp-guardiola-brexit-licence-fee

This is clearly the in house view of the BBC as communicated by a mouthpiece, and then pasted onto the headline news.
The BBC knows change has to come, and it is pushing the outcome it wants through their mouthpieces.

If it can’t have a criminally sanctioned TV Tax it wants a flat fee system where the cost goes up, and the poor get it for free. Essentially if you can afford to pay, then you’ll perhaps pay double while others will get it for free.

This will salve the consciences of the wealthy recipients of the TV tax, but in practice it isn’t going to change very much by the sounds of it.

Some of the media have been showing the map the crashed helicopter took, and where it should have gone.

Now I know the USA is a big place and people use planes to get around the place, but this was a fairly short hop from one part of a city to another.
The fact is that if they had taken a car they’d be alive today, and it probably wouldn’t have been much difference in time.

But all that pales somewhat in that this happened in LA, Wokesville, Climate Change central which is lecturing everyone else about fossil fuel use, and yet sees commuting short distances by helicopter as normal.

Oh but I’m so important I couldn’t possibly drive appears to be a motivation. Or I’m so important, everyone else is doing it so I should too.

If they believe climate change is real then they should lead by example not by diktat and horrible authoritarianism.

What was going on in August 1936 in Broadcasting House?

According to an old issue of Popular Wireless they were rehearsing the song Come And Listen To The Gay White Coons!.

If they hadn’t changed the meaning of ‘gay’ I expect that word would no longer be used on the BBC either.

Apparantly they were minstrels who did not black up to sing.

The word ‘coon’ in association with Black people came from the UK Whig party attempting to become a political force in the USA, one of their main policies was the emancipation of Black slaves, and the animal they chose for their party was the racoon hence the name ‘coons’.

The BBC have gone big on the Holocaust Memorial Day this year, slightly/partly/mostly/wholly (you choose) because it is the Seventy-Fith Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz. In all their coverage this year and in previous years, there has never been any mention of Corrie Ten Boom and her family that I can recall.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrie_ten_Boom

    I wonder why?
