Weekend Thread 11 January 2020

The Far Left BBC is in a tricky position with regard to the non ‘cooperation ‘ of government ministers going forward to be harangued by BBC employee ‘journalists . Their bias has destroyed their ability to present fair views to the public which pays for them . The BBC is not accountable to the diminishing number of people who still pay for it . That’s got to change .

“Questioning the political interview “ was a programme on R4 on Saturday . Now if you had a sense of humour – who would you get to ‘chair’ it ? ….

That’s right Andrew bloody Marr .

So what sort of conclusion would he come to ?

I don’t know because I listened to the first 5 minutes and decided there would be no value in it . God they even had Esme Wren on . Esme Wren is apparently the editor of ‘ newsnight ‘ . It was the bubble talking to itself again . Very BBC .

Others on the programme ? Beth Rigby – George Remainer Osbourne .

      funded by enforced fees,

It’s not Marxism, it’s something from the left equally bad – Fascism.

The main difference between the two is that Marxism wants the state to own all private property ( as Theresa May said she wanted) Fascism wants complete control over private property.

Given the BBCs hugely over paid property owning presenters there is a natural attraction to the Fascist ideal of being able to hang onto their expensive assets

Dateline London – a subtle dig at Trump when it was suggested by a Canadian journalist that ‘he was held back’ giving a better result. No one challenged this view – it was simply stated as if fact.

It was reported by the BBC, but as you probably expect by now, there’s a catch, it was only on childrens ‘Newsround’ ignored by the rest as not fitting the narative.

Surely wrongthink by BBC sport as they made a positive video about a ski slope in Denmark which is on top of a waste to energy plant.
UK Greens hate such plants, so we end up exporting our waste plastics to Denmark Sweden plants.

Wouldnt it be nice for a change if this site could go against the BBC’s negativity and suggest how things can be changed for the better with real examples. See for eg this video produced for World Environment Day in June last year that highlights progress with renewable energy, wastewater recycling, desalination. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFBoXjSw4Ek

Yes a lot positive in that Israel PR video
but it does feature a Brightsource Concentrated Solar Plant
Brightsources : In the US Ivanpah CSP cost taxpayers $1.6bn in loan losses
        and fried lots of birds
.. CSP so far has not lived up to the marketing hype
(natural gas is used to keep certain components warm

If you got a radio times from maybe 20 or 30 years back it might demonstrates ways in which the BBC could be improved . Also – the beginnings of BBC 4 had some hope but it went down the toilet like the rest .

It’s not just about the global snowflake agenda . It’s just dumb now .

Is the BBC’s affirmative action ,positive discrimination scheme a screw up ?
They deliberately set out to employ more women
..they gave Ray Snoddy’s job to a woman Samira giving her an even bigger salary
.. but now they are set to pay her 6 years backpay,
cos the sisterhood claims she should have been paid the same as Vine.

So licence payers have to cough up hundreds of thousands of pounds more than if Snoddy had been replaced by another man.

#1 How we know that posts on the official Greta Thunberg Facebook page were posted by other accounts
A Facebook Bug Exposed Anonymous Admins of Pages
A bad code update allowed anyone to easily reveal which accounts posted to Facebook Pages—including celebrities and politicians—for several hours.

A story of illegals in the UK designed to tug at our heart strings.
Intended to suggest it’s our fault that these organisms are not living in palatial surroundings.

    Which ends with :-

“In 2017, freelance writer Tom de Castella noticed an elderly woman and her son living on a bench in south London.
He discovered they had already been there for two years… which was puzzling.
Why hadn’t anyone done anything to help them? Why did everyone accept it as normal? The more he investigated, the stranger it seemed.

Is it OK if someone wants to live for years on a bench? (October 2019)”

I think the word “fascist”should not be used these days
cos it has become devalued as it is only used as a smear word.
There are almost zero people who genuinely want to start a genocide against non-Aryans.
    – There are a few people who practice genuine racism of judging people by their skin colour only.
    – There are others who want totalitarian politics like some totalitarian-Greens who want to impose policies on the population like forbid them from using fossil fuels or limit the number of children we can have.

So there are Greens who say western countries need to restrict the number of children we have. And of course themselves always use drama-queening language.
And there are many nationalists who say that open borders in the UK should be drastically controlled cos that affects the lives and the culture of the people already here.

So what has happened is that XR have posted their doom posters around UK cities then some wag has hijacked the XR PR ideas by making posters that say
: not that ‘we need to stop PLANET extinction’
but say ‘we need to stop UK extinction’

So of course the libmob are triggered and shouting “fascist” at those nationalists.

You seem to be labouring under a misapprehension and confusion between Fascism & Nazism.

No one killed people on the grounds of race under Fascism – that was Nazism.

Racsism is the belief that one race is superior to another by dint of racial characteristics. Unfortunately for the left Racism is a realistic philosphy – just look at the starting line of the 100 meters if you doubt this.

Communism shouted Fascism all the time after WWII, perhaps understandable given the losses Russia suffered, but everyone who was not a Communist was judged by them to be a Fascist.

Countryfile‘s own Private Fraser, Tom Heap, was telling us how bad alien species are for our natural biodiversity.

Does it never occur to his kind that exactly the same argument applies to importing alien people? Cultures are fragile too.

Earlier today I watches as a massive Emirates Airways A380 makes one of its many trips between Birmingham and Pakistan, would Mr Heap and Greta approve of that? In a sane world what would be the need for that flight?

Moving on to Radio 4 The Skewer proved to be the greatest waste of airtime imaginable. Suppose a politician had said on Monday, “It is raining, I will stay indoors”, and on Friday had said “It is sunny today I will go outdoors”. Then one Jon Holmes edits the two statements together to prodce, “I will stay indoors, I will go outdoors”. Oh what satire. Then imagine 30 minutes of the same ‘joke’.

Oh joy it is just the first of six and they are calling it ‘series 1’ too.

Unpleasant Heap made much of the risks to native marine life from alien species imported on ships’ bottoms – and the brilliant new hoover system which solves the problem at the push of a button.
Exciting, emotional stuff, presented with his usual doom-laden yet supposedly deeply knowledgeable delivery.
Shame no-one seemed available to point out that ships have been travelling the oceans for centuries, careened, scraped and sent out again and again – so what’s an alien species? Any one that fits the Countryfile book of BBC-approved environmental disasters, which includes Mr Heap among its more pernicious species.

Sir Roger Scruton, possibly the finest conservative thinker since Edmund Burke, has died at the age of 75.

The news of his death was on the DM webiste hours ago, but not on that of the BBC.

The BBC has now responded to the death of Sir Roger. It is item number 6 on their website, after “Saving the animals of Kangaroo Island”.

As our American cousins would say – “Go figure”.
