Do any of the parties, apart from the DUP, have any plans to take action against the awful BBC?

Rick – from memory – the charter isn’t due for renewal for a few years so there is time for reform . The previous DCMS minister spoke about looking at subscription so the conservatives have a view – but I’ve not read their manifesto yet – for what that’s worth .
But I guess the real answer to your question is ‘ not yet’ .

I see that News front page continues the attack on the ‘Conservatives twitter account’ rebranding as ‘factcheck’.

Possibly fair enough as the initial deed had the hallmarks of an own goal. Whether the attack should continue into a second week tests the idea of bias in the taxpayer funded media.

Come on you know the BBC…grab any tiny thing that is against anything that doesn’t fit their agenda and it is like elastic…with all the news happening around the world you would think that Prince Andrew and Fact check were the only things..
On the subject of Andrew – I have no feelings about him one way or the other but why does the MSM keep showing the picture of him with a 17 yr old girl from years ago which implies he was sleeping with underage girls – she wanted the picture for her mum and dad – and the age of consent in USA is 16…
Anyone who reads Douglas Murray’s new book will see this type of story in it…Andrew hasn’t been convicted of anything other than knowing Epstein – along with how many 100’s of others including Clinton…but suddenly he is a pariah..and his past good work goes out the window…

If you think of the political idea of globalists and nationalists then the idea of getting the people to want rid of a monarchy must be high up the globalist agenda. What identifies a country more? The comments on the DM web site on Meghan Markle stories were often visceral about the Monarchy not just the social climber (I am being kind about MM). The stories about Prince Andrew are from the same stable. Yes he has behaved in a sleazy way with young girls but we don’t seem to have similar stories about Bill Clinton who apparently at least 20 times stayed with Epstein.

Deborah, I think you misunderstand or misuse the word globalist and its collective: globalisation.

It is globalism that wishes to have a world government for the (wealthy) citizens of no-where and every-where.

Globalisation is trade and co-operation between globalists in sovereign nations as opposed to an isolationist stance.

There’s a very subtle but distinct difference between the two. Certain parts of the media will no doubt wish to blur that difference. “Oh, hello BBC. I didn’t see you standing there!”

Drag it down and destroy. Which one of the following Communist Rules for Revolution should we apply? No prizes, just appreciate the journey and end product:

“1. Corrupt the young, get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial. Destroy their ruggedness.

        2. Get control of all means of publicity.

        3. Get people’s minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books and other trivialities.

        4. Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.

        5. Destroy the people’s faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule and obloquy.

        6. Always preach true democracy, but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible.

        7. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy its credit and produce fear of inflation with rising prices and general discontent.

        8. Foment unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorders, and foster a lenient and soft attitude on the part of government toward such disorders.

        9. By specious argument cause the breakdown of the old moral virtues, honesty, sobriety, continence, faith in the pledged word, ruggedness.

        10. Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext, with a view to confiscating them and leaving the populace helpless.”

JamesArthur, I agree with everything you’ve said about the Prince Andrew / Epstein case. However, he was a bloody fool to continue his friendship with him after his conviction.
I know he’s spoken about his personal sense of loyalty, but the bloke wasn’t convicted of an ordinary felony, but paedophilia…
I think Andrew is probably arrogant and spoiled and clearly used to doing exactly what he wants.
And of course the BBC will absolutely love this; another British institution they can try to destroy.
His interview with the ghastly perma-tanned, superannuated Barbie Doll was a car crash.

The one thing I cannot understand, is why Andrew had to fly to the US to end his friendship with Epstein. Whatever happened to a telephone call ?
Conspiracy theories may abound in Epstein’s death, but that type of man would have kept diaries, and together with hidden cameras that have been found, I’ll wager there are many a ‘friend’ who are having brown trouser moments at what will be uncovered. Prince Andrew notwithstanding.

So the fair and honourable thing to do, seeing as the film has been withdrawn by two major cinema franchisers to date – with no doubt more to follow, and probably consigned to history as another costly mistake – would be to deduct the cost from the licence fee and reimburse all those who unwittingly paid for it. And that nice Mr Loach who was probably paid another small fortune as ‘skilled social advisor’ can hand his fee back too.

  6. Ed Hitter says:

Of course the biased BBC is going to ensure that a side issue such as Twittergate runs and runs – that’s how it shapes it’s supposedly neutral election coverage, picking away at minor Tory indiscretions while ignoring major concerns about the Marxist cabal running Labour.
For instance, the BBC has failed miserably to follow up the hugely important intervention by former MI6 chief Richard Dearlove who at the weekend said of Corbyn: “Do not even think of taking the risk of handing this politician the keys to No 10….
“Politicians should have to live with their political record, and Corbyn’s, whatever political views he may claim to hold today, rules him out as someone suitable to be our Prime Minister.”
So a threat to our national security is not considered election news, but a row about a Twitter handle is. Says it all, doesn’t it?

  7. Ian Rushlow says:

BBC ‘boasts’ of its role in machete violence… The average person might think of machete-wielding gangs as being associated with, say, Katanga province in the Congo during the 1960s, but the multiculturalists want you to feel the enrichment and vibrancy in your own home town. On Saturday, police were called into the Star City cinema multiplex in Birmingham, amidst reports of youths with machetes. The initial reporting by the BBC was low-key, but as ever when there is a dirty secret to hide, they drip-feed additional information when they have to and can’t get away with it. So what was the movie that caused this ‘traditional British upset’ at the cinema? The latest Disney blockbuster? A new woke-reboot of The Carry On Series?
Nope. It was a movie called ‘Blue Story’, written and directed by one Andrew Onwubolu, described as a ‘rapper-turned-filmmaker’. It is about so-called postcode gang warfare. And who is behind this contemporary masterpiece? Step forward BBC Films, an organisation that bills itself as “work(ing) closely with filmmakers throughout the creative process, offering rigorous opportunity to new filmmakers and a protected, collaborative space for established voices”. According to said BBC Films, it is an “outstanding, critically acclaimed debut feature which powerfully depicts the futility of gang violence”.

No. Even if that was the intention of those behind it, any film that covers black gang violence has the effect of glamourising it, whether that is the intention or not. As does the BBC’s constant glamourising of the cringeworthy ‘music’ it promotes on its radio stations and openly-racist BBC 1Xtra station. The BBC should not be doing this, full stop, no debate.

Excellent examination of the film and the lengths the BBC will go to impose multicuralism and diversity on the populace, regardless of the the cost that might be to innocent people, including the police who have to face down the machete wielding thugs, Ian.
Ou politicians should be protecting us and the BBC should be hauled before a committee to give reasons for funding this violent crap.
Meanwhile black people are queuing up to phone Nick Ferrari to justify the film, spouting the same BS that young black men are the victims.

Meanwhile the various machete wounds received by the plod who had to deal with these ‘children ‘ will need their stitches out in a few days . Despair .

This rubbish should never have seen the light of day. Over 200 years ago the great city of Birmingham was famous for building steam engines to power the industrial revolution. Fifty years ago, the city was famous for motor manufacture, exporting cars and trucks around the world.
Today, Birmingham echoes not to the sound of heavy machinery, but to the Islamic call to prayer, and the city’s most famous export is jihadis. The ruling class fear Islam, as well as the BBC, they fear the blood-spattering violence that sporadically erupts from Islamic communities, they fear the threat of such violence… and so they do nothing, leaving future generations to deal with the toxic mess they’ve created.
As long as our rulers fear Islam more than they fear the will of the indigenous British people, nothing is going to change.

    Ethical Standards in Politics

Much has been said recently about the standards of our MPs these days, along the lines of “You can’t trust what any of them say any more.” That may be true, but surely standards have also fallen among among political journalists? We are well aware of the continuing interruption of politicians of a particular persuasion, such that they can hardly string a single sentence together. Then there are the journalist “questions” that are so long they could well be arguments for the other side of the divide. I also have noticed a trend towards unanswerable questions built on false premises, “What do you have to say, Mr Johnson, to the five million nurses who won’t be able to afford more than a ham sandwich for their Christmas dinner this year?” Perhaps such a question should be termed a “rigby.”

Did I hear correctly at about 0825 on Toady? I’m sure that I heard an interview to discuss the rewriting of ‘A Christmas Carol’ to cast Scrooge as a female. Apparently, other characters have been changed as well. I guess we know what that means. Our Marxist State Broadcaster seems happy as the changes follow its own Marxist leanings so no criticisms/tough questions.
I’m looking forward to the time the BBC interview the author of a totally revised Quaran where that cults master of ceremonies and his messenger are then all assumed to be women. Can’t wait…………………………

    • Ian Rushlow says:

It is possible. What is very noticeable is that three of the major retailers – Tesco, Sainsburys, John Lewis/Waitrose – have chosen identical themes for their Christmas adverts. Rather than try and out-do each other on how many ethnic, inappropriate and sometimes downright offensive characters they can incorporate, they have gone for something more subtle. They portray a more traditional Christmas from times gone by to reassure the main population – obviously no Christian symbolism, of course – but with a handful of ethnics woven in, just to show they have always been here and part of olde-Britain (no Victorian village would be complete without its 10% BAME characters). This is hardly a matter of accident and no, they do not share the same advertising agency. Rather, someone has sat down and thought this through, much the same as the Nazis did prior to the 1936 Olympics (they removed all ‘inappropriate’ materials for the benefit of foreign visitors). Whilst the BBC will be fully onboard with this, being the BBC they would see a bit of opportunity for some gender-bending and a more ‘woke’ rewriting of history and culture that appeals to the Junior Common Room mentality.

Caught a absolutely sickening piece of BIAS / Agenda pushing on BBC Breakfast this morning.

Reporter was in Fishlake. A area badly affected by the recent floods. Amazingly, he managed to turn it into a 4 minute Anti Boris, Climate Change agenda pushing circus.

He was interviewing residents who’s homes were flooded. Asking them if they could trust the Government to listen to them, of course, they couldn’t !!! Boris is a liar, he doesnt know what its like to be flooded. After a few Anti Boris soundbites, he moved the report onto linking the weather to climate change. He asked one bloke if he thought that climate change was the cause of the recent floods and if it will sway his vote at the election, fair do’s to the fella, he said it was just a freak event (correct) and would have no impact on his voting intention. Reporter asks him will Brexit have a effect, the chap said i hope so, you could sense he was a Brexiteer so clearly the BBC didnt want this so cut him off sharpish.

Report ended with them speaking to who else, but Ex-stink-tion rebellion !!! Its all down to climate change, she is voting to make sure she has a future, blah blah blah , music the the Beeboids ears. And with that, the lecture / propaganda ended.

Sickening stuff. And they wonder why they are losing viewers hand over fist.

TOADY Watch #3 – Wild Wimmin attack the Conservative Party Manifesto and a Conservative Wimmin

The whole theme of this morning’s programme, since I switched on at 7.40a.m.-ish, has been Bojo Is A Liar, how can we trust the Tory Manifesto because Bojo Is A Liar and the Manifesto is not what the Conservatives have been saying for the last three months and that Bojo Is A Liar.

    Fair?

Well Bojo does ‘shoot his mouth off’ in between his stammers and leaps of Classical imagination. However, I can think of other politicians who do similar: John Healy (Lab) is equally guilty and was on the programme this morning. He did not get the treatment, a Mishal Mauling, that Wild Mishal Wimmin afforded Conservative Party Wimmin, brave, staunch, Nicky Morgan.

And Wild Wimmin Mishal and her colleagues did not go after The Sweater or The Wee Hen in the same fashion, if I recall correctly.

They are clearly trying to normalise this kind of thing. But I hate it. In my own (white) family, there was a male who married a black woman. They eventually divorced. The main reason given was because she missed her own people.

Local news “greenhouse gases are at record highs”
    … Is that news ?

There has been no worldwide reduction in worldwide emissions
    nor enough new trees planted.
So every day CO2 % grows a tiny tiny fraction if nature is in balance.
So of course CO2 continues to grow up
    from 0.000,000,000,37% to say 0.000,000,407 %
Most growth is probably in the sea, so say there was a big increase in algae CO2 might fall
Likewise the other way is possible.

Then the station brought on their gardening hone in expert to say without trees we couldn’t breathe.

(Not true cos they haven’t measured GHG, she means GHG excluding water vapour)

“meanwhile there are calls for more to be done to increase the number of trees in East Yorkshire
…. DS the Radio Humberside gardening expert explains the importance of trees saying one tree can store 20Kg of carbon”

        DS
“They breathe out oxygen, that is the first thing that they do
        which is really fantastic,
because otherwise we’d use up all the oxygen and *we’d suffocate*
        so trees keep up breathing
and they also store carbon “

*(That sounds like dramaqueening, cos it’s not just trees it’s all green life,
and a hell of a lot of that is in the ocean,

    https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/mornings-eamonn-holmes-race-row-20950568

This book by Roger Hargreaves was released in 1972 and nothing at all was said about the title in the intervening forty-seven years.

    latest?cb=20140304023058

Now Linda Bellos the deranged mixed race, radical feminist lesbian, mad cat woman and professional race baiter who is older than me made not one single critical comment about the meaning of the word “Uppity” in all those years.
Yet this morning she was ranting on LBC that it is an acknowledged extreme racist slur even though, as we can see from Hargreaves tome the word has been in usage for several decades in this country.

The Cambridge Dictionary defines the adjective “Uppity”, thus:

“An uppity person behaves in an unpleasant way because they think that they are more important than they really are.”

I think we have reached a point now where there is an active apartheid at work where black people can use certain words in rap and drill music or in general conversation and yet if I as a white person was to use it, I would be labelled a racist; e.g. “Oh look, there’s Wing Commander Guy Gibson’s faithful canine chum Ni****.”

This morning on radio bbc Newcastle they were talking about the new britbox service and what you are not now allowed to watch on it.
It ain’t half hot mum and the like.

There’s lots of shows that have been withdrawn because there has been a complaint by some snowflake, sometimes because of only just one complaint. We’ve all heard of this type of reason for not showing something.

    Well.

I don’t like swearing on tv which seems to have become quite normal.
    F this and F that.
I would never have dared to use such words in front of my parents or in decent company yet they are used in almost every drama (amongst other things) on tv.

Now, if I was a snowflake like lots of the youngsters of today who need safe spaces to run off and cry in when somebody says something that upsets them, could I write to the tv companies complaining about this and would they withdraw every show I complained about?
    I think not.
They seem to be very selective with what they regard as offensive.

Of course, I don’t want them to withdraw any show.
    Live and let live.
It’s just that it’s annoying when the usual bunch of snowflakes seem to control what the rest of us might want to watch.
If they don’t like it and they easily get upset, don’t watch it.

I see our beloved Channel 4 was trailing The End Of The F***ing World at the weekend. Such a clever and original title!

Most American films manage to get in a few ‘f’s before the titles and the ‘s’ word can mean good or bad and act as noun, verb or adjective. Neither of which would have been considered polite in mixed company or in conversation with a stranger, yet are now the stock-in-trade of all BBC ‘comedians’.

Sorry if this has already been posted —

A video promo on the home page explaining how ‘Muslims can be influential in December’s general election’. Which is just the BBC regurgitating the Guardian article from last week. Which is just the Guardian regurgitating ‘research’ by the Muslim Council of Britain.

The beeb joins “a guided tour of London, which looks at how Islam has influenced culture in the capital, and spoke with Muslim voters on the tour about the issues that mattered most to them.” It turns out the hot political issues that matter most to them are all Islamophobia. Who would have guessed?

How did the BBC respond to a Jewish Chronicle front page earlier this month urging voters to look seriously at Corbyn’s anti-semitism? With a video on the home page showing how Judaism has influenced culture in the capital, and speaking with Jewish voters about the issues that matter to them most?

No, the only videos show Corbyn and McDonnell refuting it all… the latter saying he was “sad about it” and that Labour was doing “everything they asked of us” to tackle anti-Semitism.

Look at this Talk Radio story
*Sacked* BBC journalist demands investigation into broadcaster

Among Mr Sweeney’s accusations he said BBC Panorama decided not to air

Since this is not something your friendly, local beeb bulletin is going to touch with a bargepole, the perpetrators and victims being the opposite races of the narrative they prefer for this sort of story, some figures: by 7 November 2019, there had already been 376 farm attacks with 36 murders for that year. You can visit the website for details if you wish.
These attacks are usually accompanied by brutal assaults, mostly to ghastly to describe. Latests victims on 19 November were a Boskop, Gauteng, farmer who was shot dead, with the female victim stabbed in the head, badly beaten, tied up and tortured.
The silence from our noble MSM, defender of worthy causes, is deafening. The SA government denies this is happening.

It’s context free time at the BBC.
They report that University Lecturers are on strike over pay snd pensions. Well at least one cheer for rightly linking them together (unlike workers in the NHS, schools, who conveniently forget to mention their pension provision when whingeing about pay).
They also report that employer contributions have risen from 18% to 21% of salary.
But what the BBC conveniently fail to do is compare with the private sector.
OK. Hands up all those private sector workers who get a 21% contribution to their defined contribution pension scheme?
    Just as I thought. No-one.
And hands up if you have a job for life?

I dont know if the BBC has mentioned it , but the strike is also about jobs being outsourced to the third world, or in some case outsourced to companies who import the third world to do the jobs on-site.

is it kinda odd to see the woke , right on, workers rights, gay rights, trans rights, diversity obsessed universities not give a s**t about its staff, or is that just me.

I heard a very nice and fair interview on Today this morning.

It was with two American chaps who have a book out about Russiagate and the Christopher Steele dossier.

    Guess what? It’s all true!

Yes, although that dope Mueller spent two years investigating it, only to find there was nothing there, these two geniuses have discovered that it was all true after all. Even the bit about the prostitutes peeing on the bed.

They don’t seem to have got the memo that the Russiagate hoax is dead, and that it’s the Ukrainegate hoax that is now the way to impeach Trump. It seems that Trump is indeed Putin’s puppet, which can be seen by the way he expelled dozens of Russian diplomats and imposed sanctions on Russia after Salisbury, just as you would expect a puppet to do.

Anyway, the main thing is that these two have a book out, and out of the hundreds of books published every week, the BBC decided that this particular book merited a friendly and uncritical plug on the BBC’s “flagship” news programme.
