Midweek Thread 13 November 2019

The Far Left Biased BBC appears to be running an unashamed campaign to support its best friend – the Labour Party – in the General Election . Stories which are anti – Conservative run in News programmes across news cycles and stories damaging to the Labour Party are avoided or dropped . It has been a switch from anti brexit to anti Conservative propaganda . It’s lucky more and more people now regard the BBC as an embarrassing joke as opposed to the reliable broadcaster it was a long time ago.

The greedy and immoral BBC take their 30 pieces of silver from Huawei, controlled by the Chinese governement, one of the worst regimes on earth (think Tibet, Hong Kong, Tienanmen, Chinese Gulags, Organ Harvesting, human rights abuses, island land grabs etc).

Even their own staff find it hard to stomach.

On the plus side, such sleazy deals will further tarnish what little reputation the Corrupt Corporation has left.

“The BBC has been criticised by its own employees for producing a promotional video and website for Huawei which claims to tell the “real story” of the company.

A video and website promoting the Chinese technology business was created by the BBC’s “StoryWorks” sponsored content team, BuzzFeed reported.” – DT.

Interesting precedent, especially given BBC coyness over colleagues and advisers to their choice of next PM, including a felon, disgraced and ejected MP and others…

ah that bizarre court case where a woman was fined for complaining about a fellow passenger eating eggs
That went through a year long legal process.
It turns out there is a reason why it proceeded even though trivial.
Cos the police had noticed the egg eater was Brazilian and the complainer white.. so they had charged her with racially aggrevated crime.
After a year when it came to court, the judge threw out that aspect.

      oops misreported my own comment

Clapping at all the usual woke points such as everybody must be allowed into the U.K. because were all human, that type of stuff.

Only clapping at the panel and commentators who came out with the usual far left drivel.

Alex Phillips, the only one talking sense getting the silent treatment but the lefties getting all the ott applause for sickening virtue signalling.

    Just awful.

Oh yes, the one audience member who asked a question (when will this points based immigration system start) was given the indication that it would be answered yet guess what….it was somehow forgotten and never asked.

      Immigration – For Britain will:
      • Freeze immigration to the UK for a period of 5 years (this will not affect travel for business or leisure and temporary work visas may be issued during this time if in the interests of the economy)
      • Ensure that the need for foreign workers is reduced in the near future by investing in effective training for young Britons
      • Introduce a points-based migration system at the end of these 5 years based upon need and in the interests of British citizens – those seeking to live in the United Kingdom will be of good character and economically self-sufficient, will respect British culture and make an effort to integrate, will obey UK laws and agree to adhere to the democratic order. Those who will not integrate, or who will not respect British laws and norms, will not be permitted to live in the UK and will not be granted British citizenship
      • Deport those found to be living in the United Kingdom unlawfully or involved in violent crime (exceptions may be made on humanitarian grounds)
      • Triple the size of the UK border force to ensure that immigration laws are applied

It’s remarkable how the BBC’s cherished principles go out the window when there’s a Tory in the sights and an election imminent.

The Boris Bashing Corporation lives up to its name today as he indulges them with some interviews and gets thoroughly turned over as a result.

He did a public phone in on Rachel Burden’s show answering questions from the public with Burden intervening with some loaded questions of her own. After the Q&A session and Boris going off for other interviews 5 Live decided to critique his performance and answers….absolutely nothing positive to say about him….completely negative and pro-Labour.

During the Q&A Burden actually snapped that what he was saying about Northern Ireland and tariffs was ‘nonsense’…not sure how she knew as she clearly hadn’t read the agreement and wasn’t listening to what Boris was saying. Fairly typical of BBC arrogance and lack of respect…which is at odds with their continual cries about respect for politicians and a more careful use of language.

Burden tried to get Boris to reveal more about his children claiming ‘many listeners had asked’….maybe but it’s a been a long-time BBC effort to try and exploit and weaponise Boris’ children spinning it into a narrative about Boris having ‘women trouble’ and how you can’t trust him…if he won’t reveal how many children he has how can voters possibly trust him with the NHS?

Odd isn’t it that the BBC tries to drag children into this and expose them to media and public scrutiny and no doubt abuse and interference in their lives in order to attack Boris.
Odd isn’t it that when Andrea Leadsom said ‘As a mother’ the BBC et al savaged her for allegedly suggesting, in a BBC interpretation, she was a better woman than May as May didn’t have children, and as we all know she lost the leadership contest.

Which is all very odd as the BBC is directly suggesting that being a ‘family man’ makes you more relatable to the voters….of course this was a sly attempt to pry into Boris’ life and his children’s…

‘”Give someone an idea of who you are, a family man,” she said.

“Your partner Carrie Symonds is campaigning, you’re a father, you’re on the campaign trail. Why are you relatable to families up and down the country?”‘

Funny how being a ‘family man’ is now an important characteristic but when Brexiteer Leadsom was up for the leadership it was toxic. Of course only important insofar as to allow the BBC to keep trying to suggest Boris is untrustworthy because he won’t talk about his kids…which is perfectly sensible…if he suddenly revealed he has other kids the media will dig and dig and dig until they get names and then the kids and their mothers will be hounded…..the BBC just doesn’t care in Boris’ case…quite happy to sacrifice his kids for the Remain cause.

The BBC is also keeping up the lie about ‘Russian donors’…..trouble is they aren’t ‘Russian, they are all British citizens….from the Independent….

‘A spokesperson for the Conservative Party said: “The Conservative Party does not accept foreign donations – as they are illegal.

“The individuals you have mentioned have lived in Britain for many years and are British citizens, which gives them the democratic right to donate to a political party. We won’t take any lectures from the Labour party, whose leader sided with Putin over the Salisbury attacks.”‘

And the BBC is trying to leverage this into a story about ‘Russian influence’ and the intelligence report into such things….the BBC continually suggesting there is ‘something to hide’…..oddly not quoting Buzzfeed’s story which says there was no ‘interference’, at least of any significance…
    https://www.buzzfeed.com/albertonardelli/intelligence-report-russia-no-interference-brexit

‘An Intelligence Report Will Say UK Spy Agencies Found No Evidence Of Russian State Interference In The Outcome Of The Brexit Referendum
The UK’s intelligence agencies have found no evidence that the Russian state interfered in the outcome of the Brexit referendum and the 2017 general election, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the findings in an as-yet-unpublished report from Parliament’s Intelligence and Security Committee.

One of the sources told BuzzFeed News the finding was categorical.’

Curious absolutely no reference to that at all in any BBC report.

See, here’s another problem with the BBC approach to ‘Russians’….when Trump suggested that the Awkward Squad go back to their countries of origin[and then come back to the US] to fnd out exactly why their parents etc fled these ‘shitholes’ the BBC was jumping up and down with rage in their behalf…they are all American citizens and Trump shouldn’t be calling them foreign..which he didn’t. The BBC of course always insists all migrants who become British citizens are British…except it seems when they were born in Russia…and donate to the Tories.

The BBC has no problem with Soros, not a British citizen, splurging money on anti-Brexit groups in the UK, no problem with Hiilary Clinton making highly charged political statements that were directly intended to influence the election, the BBC has no problem with Polish EU Apparachik, Donald Tusk, making statements also directly intended to influence the election…the BBC giving both sets of comments a very high profile quoting them repeatedly.

Seems that there is one rule for those the BBC likes and shares a worldview with and those the BBC wants to see consigned to Hell because they voted for Brexit or went to the wrong school…..Burden quickly shut down Boris when he told her that he went to the same junior school as Ed Miliband, didn’t fit the BBC narrative about public school Toffs, she also very, very quickly slammed shut the conversation when Boris started to say he wouldn’t be lectured on Northern Ireland by a man who supported terrorism…the BBC just does not want to have Corbyn linked to terrorism…witness their refusal to quote Ian Austin’s damning comment [and now similar from many many others from labour] about Corbyn hating Britain, preferring its enemies and siding with terrorists. The BBC quoted Remainer Gauke endlessly and at length as he attacked Boris but Austin’s comments?….censored.

The BBC is very definitely trying to rig this election in Labour’s favour…but what’s new? The champagne is on ice in BBC fridges up and down the country.
