So er…how do all the polls show opinion hasn’t shifted despite all this ‘new information’ that has enlightened us enough to allow us to vote in an informed and intelligent manner now?
Fact is everyone heard all the scare stories, the apocalyptic predictions, the project fear horror stories and they still voted for Brexit.
Poor old ‘Dave’. All that money (£6m? £9m?) he spent getting that booklet written, the text checked for accuracy, on the printing of 25 million copies and their delivery to every household in the land at the time he was advocating us to vote Remain
He could have left it to the famous Grauniad, known tor their fotal arcuracy, to do it on his behalf for free.
LCS, I keep coming back to this ‘being properly informed’ thing.
What are the metrics by which it is decided that we are sufficiently informed? Do we put government on hold until each and every member of the electorate has read the complete works of Aristotle and Bertrand Russell or has the omniscience of a Buddha?
Or do we wait until a few columnists at Guardian HQ declare that they’ve pumped out enough “facts are sacred” commentary into the ether? I think we know the answer, but I’d love to see some benchmarks so we know what to aim for as a target.
Even a pie chart or two would help.

Extraordinary accusation, all the more so because it is true…and yet the BBC is ignoring it so far…at least on the website.

Stew, I thought it might be the case that they were being ‘gender specific’, as it were. Didn’t look at your notes as I knew they would be thorough and right on the money.
It just amazes me that the GreenBlob or MentalistEnviros don’t understand trees and forests and growing things the way normal people are taught about them in science classes in school (or used to be taught about them) nor do they respond to and promote scientific research that may not favourably accord with their propaganda.

Well, I’ve gone through the thread and I feel for you guys over there as you brace yourselves for the next act of treachery by people who have the gall to regard themselves as righteous and democratic when they are anything but.
While fighting with Windows 10 OS, ‘brainchild’ of the awful Microsoft, I’ve been reminded of the BBC and was thinking of putting up a post about the similarities between them – both unaccountable, unapproachable, monopolistic organisations wallowing in wealth and scornful of the ordinary folk they leech off.
Well, all we can hope for is that there will eventually be justice for the little guy.

I’ve had a really blissful day.
After the trauma of yesterday’s treacherous vote by the house of parasites and the mind numbing endless propaganda by their cheer leaders at The Beeb, I have avoided all contact with the media today. I couldn’t take any more. Seeing those gormless middle class halfwits in their EU hats mincing through London was the last straw.
Yesterday I was stressed and fractious. Today, being Beeb free, I’m smiling and serene.
What is absolutely crystal clear is that this worthless parliament will never vote for Brexit in any meaningful form. They’ll concoct any excuse to prevaricate and to frustrate our democracy. Most of these people are lawyers…loophole finders and liars by nature and job description.
It’s their smug, self righteousness that I despise as much as their dishonesty. They’ll lecture us about the importance of a “people’s vote” while having ignored the largest people’s vote in this country’s long history. And they’re so very pleased with themselves.
Don’t worry, their time will come.
