Midweek Open Thread 28 August 2019

With 64 days to go until Brexit it might be worth reminding the BBC that

270 voting areas voted leave – 406 constituencies
129 voting areas voted remain – 242 constituencies

Figures made unfamiliar by the biased MSM and worth remembering when traitors in the Bubble attempt to deny democracy.

OT, but surely the BBC’s ex ‘Anger and Protests’ editor is headed that way as we speak, offsetting his trip by planting marrows in Jez’ allotment, and cradling a fire extinguisher to deploy as needed off a tall building?

Another BBC ‘UK in Crisis’ report, (last week) headed Are markets signalling that a recession is due? ,  examined the unusual phenomenon known in the jargon as an “inverted yield curve”.
This often comes before a recession or at least a significant slowdown in economic growth. The BBC provided an explanation about the yield curve: “This warning sign is coming from the bond market, the place where governments and companies go to borrow money by selling bonds. A bond is a promise to make certain payments in the future, usually a large one when the bond “matures” and smaller ones in the interim, typically every six months….” As in all BBC predictions, if its not BREXIT, its a global warming crisis.
    Is it?
The US is booming whilst it is the EU that is in the doldrums..!, due to Germany’s continued decline and reliance on ‘diesels’ – the money of which which help pay for most of the EU profligacy, ‘social engineering’ and particularly the European ‘green’ tax CO2 polices; which will mean, eventually – a ban on all industry (a return to the dark ages). The (GREEN) Fresh Air tax (called Carbon credits) is just the start to austerity. Carbon Dioxide is a harmless plant food. The case for ‘global warming has never been proven, but last week changes all that. When the US courts decided that in the ‘MANN v BALL’ case it was Michael MANN who stated he could not reveal his HOCKEY STICK data! (stating his data was secret). However Dr Tim BALL could actually prove – without a doubt that MANN was (and is) a misleading distorted prophet of doom and a practicing liar! But even before this recent court case, the case for Climate Change hysteria it was already unravelling fast. Both Finland and Japan Universities dispute the IPCC ‘climate change’ crisis claims…
    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-11/scientists-finland-japan-man-made-climate-change-doesnt-exist-practice
Finland: ‘Scientists in Finland found “practically no anthropogenic [man-made] climate change” after a series of studies.
“During the last hundred years the temperature increased about 0.1°C because of carbon dioxide. The human contribution was about 0.01°C”, the Finnish researchers bluntly state in one among a series of papers.

Japan: “New evidence suggests that high-energy particles from space known as galactic cosmic rays affect the Earth’s climate by increasing cloud cover, causing an ‘umbrella effect’,” the just published study has found, a summary of which has been released in the journal Science Daily. The findings are hugely significant given this ‘umbrella effect’ —  an entirely natural occurrence…’
Everything the global ‘left’ has claimed, is based on MANN Hockey Stick graph that planet EARTH is in dire crisis due entirely to ‘man made’ CO2. Therefore we should all comply withe ‘A global governenace’. According to the IPPCC it is urgently ‘urgent’ and in a recent BBC report we are all doomed in just 12 years. But none of this is true. All false. The planet is warmer than it was, and Ball explained this to the US court. Mann however could not recount how he arrived at his GRAPH, Tim Ball knew exactly where his error was, MANN said his Hockey stick graph was ‘secret’ data that he could not share. Nor did he dispute Tim Balls data charts indicating his (MANN’s) persistent error and claim. i.e. That he had lied.
    https://principia-scientific.org/breaking-news-dr-tim-ball-defeats-michael-manns-climate-lawsuit/
The UK was also involved in this deception via the University of East Anglia, complicit in this climate disaster fraud. An email shown in court; suggested that they could abolish sections of data that don’t fit the computer projection of the Hockey stick graph. The University of East Anglia will become famous for all the wrong reasons. The BBC are complicit in this fraud by banning not just Lord Lawson but EVERY sceptic who suggested something was not right scientifically. Meanwhile Global Warming, Climate change chaos is predicted, and a charge on ‘fresh air’ has become the norm dictating global government policy. The world dictated to by The Guardian and its followers of the dim green variety of student.
    https://principia-scientific.org/global-warming-climate-doomsayers-are-the-problem/
It may be hot, but its the Summer – and we are leaving our current small ‘ICE-AGE’ and of course our ice caps may melt a bit, but that does not mean its all due to human activity expelling Carbon dioxide. It just cannot be proven. Finland and Japan are clear on that. Mr Ball is clear that he can prove MANN wrong and he did last week.
MANN (aided by the UN IPCC as sponsor) designed to make ‘proof’ that would enable a world crisis to enable a tax distibution to favor nations that have no industry. By giving them Carbon ‘tax credits’ which (by accepting the money) be able to install puppet governments, which can be controlled by funded globally by a large corporation. Based on the model of the EU superstate model. This UN agenda (which the UK is already signed up to) is called UN Agenda 21. Its also called ‘Sustainable development” which was a term used by HMG under David Cameron and before him Tony Blair. UN Agenda is not a secret, but no government is allowed to say that it exists (or not) as being government policy. The EU has no such qualms in its speedy introduction, never deny but implement before information based on ‘crisis’ measures. We cannot ever change EU law, as we all know. It can never be amended. There is no appeal, it just ‘exists’ for ever more.
Without a doubt it is a Fresh Air Tax. (see here) Its almost as daft as a ‘pavement tax’ but don’t forget we do pay ‘tax’ on water already and ‘green’ taxes are part of all the ‘sustainable’ claim that has been instilled into children like ‘Greta’ and her followers. Its the new religion, so even though tit makes no scientific sense you just get a feeling of ‘enlightenment’ as you approve of Marx, Trotsky and Stalin. As its on the BBC it MUST be true! The liberals are very good as equating Green policies to ‘save the world’ but in fact are destroying it. Going Vegan is the latest craze, banning meat and the rearing of Animals.
    https://principia-scientific.org/man-made-global-warming-fiction/
Palm Oil to replace ‘fats’ in our diet, destroying the local economy. Mono culture ‘bananas’ as approved by the EU, which are now being wiped out due to a disease they had not thought of. In fact all the UN Agenda 21 is about a huge global monoculture.
    https://www.postsustainabilityinstitute.org/which-nations-signed-agenda-21.html

The only benefits are the Global companies that refuse to pay full Tax in that country because they are the only ‘service providers’ to that country and you cannot go anywhere else (in the EU nobody can go ‘anywhere else’. Its a total closed shop that we had in the UK until Ms Thatcher decided to have a clear out of the Union barons. We are here again but it the EU that needs the clear out. The EU is totally un-reformable, anti-undemocratic, bureaucratic like the BBC, why should they change it to suit you? They have done well out of crisis. The crisis makes them look important and informed.

The BBC really is involved in this up to its license fee with Harrabin and ClimateGate saga. Retired Scientists are more confident about speaking out and saying ‘its all nonsense’. But it was fun whilst it lasted. Its only a matter if time than the UN comes up with another alarmism and an alternative to the ‘Fresh Air Tax’ by licensing water and selling it in bottles, approved by the EU, may contain bubbles. Fizzy bottles contain Carbon Dioxide. Yeast creates Carbon Dioxide, Concrete creates Carbon Dioxide, The Sea is full of bubbles and the White cliffs of Dover are made of Chalk (calcium carbonate) which means they will all have to be taxed by the EU final fantasy.

Roll on BREXIT. That will help focus our minds on removing one of the causes, i.e. BBC.
The BBC are complicit in the cover up, and they are mentioned in the articles of disinformation, particularly ‘climategate’ which the BBC continue to suggest is still ‘settled Science’ when in fact its false data exaggerated beyond recognition. It is Fraud. The BBC are complicit in Fraud.
There are bound to be many more US court cases before the BBC are challenged here in the UK.
The BBC has teflon underpants, but we will eventually win and it will be broken up for spare parts.
That is when we leave the EU.

@Nark praise Radio4 on Brexit coverage

Credit to WATO on the BBC Radio 4 today, regarding BoJo proroguing Parliament.
The anguish of the presenter seemed (to me) to be obvious, but they did make a decent attempt at balance, and Vernon Bogdanor was excellent.
They also had John Redwood on, and he did a decent job, too.

When asked about it, Bogdanor, as well as discussing the constitutional implications, made the point that the people complaining and saying that Parliament needs to be allowed time to debate and stop a no-deal Brexit are the very people (MPs) who:

    1. Voted by a large majority to serve Article 50;
    2. Voted 3 times to reject May’s “deal”;
    3. Voted by a narrow majority for an amendment to May’s deal requiring the removal of the backstop, which the EU says it won’t permit; and
    4. Voted for the legislation to extend Article 50 to 31st October and for us then to leave the EU.
So what would more time to debate the issue actually achieve?

BBC mantra : these people just want to stop a no-deal Brexit
nope : obvious that what they want to stop is Brexit – full stop.

However, their stupidity in taking the steps listed above really knows no bounds – unless they have a devious plan.

I can’t help wondering if the repeated demands to extend Article 50 yet again aren’t an attempt to kick down the road until we reach the EU’s next 7 year budget period, at which point if we’re still members, we’ll be told we’ve signed up to the 7 year budget,
and that we can’t leave without paying our contributions for that 7 year period.
At which point the remainer establishment will say it would be absurd for us to leave while paying all that money for 7 years, so we’ll just have to revoke Article 50 and stay in.

In recent years the BBC have either demonised Tibetan Buddhism or been neutral to it. Despite Tibet being occupied by China the BBC usually sides with China when speaking of the Delai Lamai and Tibetan monks.

Compare that to the BBC’s constant condemnation of China in relation to its treatment of Chinese Muslims in mainland China. For example:

I don’t care much about footy – it’s just bread and circus stuff – but the comparison of the energy put into the girls game versus the nothing put into a traditional club show the BBC mindset .

Sir Ian Boyd was the snowflake scientist who lectured us today on having to consume less . I tried to look up sir Ian to see how much he earns . I couldn’t find anything but he has been very successful . He had 3 children and a home in London and a Scottish island .
We can be sure that he walks from London to Scotland and then goes to his island home by sailing boat as opposed to using hydrocarbons .

This is a mini rant – apart from hating unadmitted bias ( see BBC)- I equally hate hypocrisy – being lectured by wealthy people that I – we – need to reduce consumption . Frankly this takes us down a road or not reproducing and committing suicide to save the planet .

The Green thing is more like some mental condition than rational thought . If this professor thinks the consumption behaviour of 60 million people in the UK will affect the climate of the planet he must be doo lally . And I’m not making a living from sciencing ( new word – not a typo ) ….

I must say, I did enjoy the interview by Humphrys of JRM on Toady earlier. Replete with his usual bonhomie tainted, I think, with a distict touch of sarcasm toward the BBC (and Humphrys particularly), JRM gave a good account of Boris’s announcement yesterday. Totally defeated the floundering Humphrys. Delicious.
For far too long the Remoaners have hidden behind the fiction that they are totally amenable to leaving the EU, they merely seek some sort of deal with the EU. When in fact, that continuing facade obscures the essential fact they simply want to remain. They have consistently lied about the main motive and exhibited faux outrage when the truth has been raised by Breixiteers. Now, that position has been leveled up by Boris’ move. Concealed, not too well I might add, (and why should it not?) the move is designed to block the Remainers last ditch attempts to thwart leaving the EU by their further obfuscation. As the Remainers fiction, JRM simply and comparably, denied the Boris move was designed to block Parliament from strangling Brexit. That, Mr Rees-Mogg, we see through equally as much as the Remoaners fiction. Well done. A level playing field finally.

Cassandra -The high profile of Gina Miller in all this shows how, along with the role of the unelected HoL, and -probably- a biased (unelected) judiciary, democracy in Britain is really a feeble creature. The whole ‘Mother of Parliaments’ narrative is not far from being so much baloney. The willingness of some MPs in the Lower House to spit in the faces of the electorate and the Will of the People at this time, merely underlines that.
It also shows that, if you have the support of the MSM (and lotsa dosh to pay lawyers and buy off the odd person here or there) you can easily participate in government, to all practical intents and purposes, without ever having been elected by anyone.
And let no one be under any illusions, she operates as if she is part of government, and the beeb (prime movers in the attempted government overthrow yesterday) don’t call her out (she ticks quite a few of their boxes) nor do other MSM. The idea that ‘any citizen’ could do what she does is so much nonsense, and we all know that perfectly well.

One of the things that Brexit has done is to make people realise that there is no democracy in this country and that The Establishment, the MSM, the BBC et al all conspire to maintain the status quo, as they always have done. All these ‘organisations’ actively conspire to keep the majority of the population down.
In the past, the moral shackles of religion was used to make the population toe the line, now it’s football, celebrity, low brow reality television shows, popular culture such as rap and drill music and the incessant politically correct propaganda the the national state broadcaster broadcasts every minute of the day (to name but a few).
Most of the values we have now, that we once would have said were immoral, deviant, in bad taste or totally alien to the British / European way of life in the not so distant past, are now being forced into the British way of life as ‘normal’ and if you don’t accept what is being forced upon you, you are intolerant, racist or both.
      Is it working?
I don’t remember any transgender clinics for prepubescent children in the 70s or 80s; I don’t remember being forced to accept a religion as peaceful whose followers impose themselves and their beliefs and medieval way of life in the societies they enter, expecting non believers to embrace them and whose followers commit heinous acts of violence and murder in the name of it on the indigenous members of it; and I don’t remember walking through the area that I live and feeling like a foreigner in my own country.

It seems to me that even the plethora of the liberal bigot women presenters and reporters on BBC TV news are rattled by Boris
Johnson’s tactics. The hierarchy at the BBC must be getting concerned that government ministers want nothing to do with
talking to the BBC. Even Kirsty Wark on Newsnight last night
showed a degree of neutrality, even though it was only a
degree. When Peter Bone told her that Ruth Davidson was resigning for personnel reasons, Kirsty went “stumm” very quickly.
If the government hold’s it nerve, this could be a glorious moment
in British history. Maybe its time for the BBC to rethink it’s very
nearly all women political news presentation. Yes you liberal
bigots on the BBC you are entitled to have your own political views.
BUT not to present them on a supposed neutral license funded
    national media!!

Blaring in the background of a neighbours house I visited recently was the tv. My eyes were drawn to the DFS furniture advertisement. DFS, as most here will recall, were, (I think) pretty well the first to figure into all their televised ads, the mixed race couple with attendant coffee coloured kids in tow to emphasise their dangerously Marxist depiction of the demographics of the UK as being predominantly black/asian. I guess DFS have taken some stick for this falsity and, as a result, changed the ad to encourage the 87% of the population which is white, to shop with them and to not feel uncomfortable in their stores knowing that the stores only (or preferred to) cater(ed) for ethnics with white spouses. Point being? Well, DFS now use animated effigies of blacks and Asians. No outrage? No, apparently. So, bring back the Robertson’s Golliwog I say……………………..

    • JimS says:

It has been fascinating watching DFS ‘permanent sale’ adverts over the years. They were one of the first to play the ‘only black people are our customers’, (even though black, ‘black’ people are a minority of minorities, talk about niche marketing!).

Then they had the novel idea of using stuffed toy dolls which were naturally ‘all-white’ and certainly they would never have dared go anywhere near a golliwog. It then dawned on them that the dolls completely missed out their target audience, what to do?

The answer was (probably) another marketing first, brown dolls! Yes, at last our majority minority gets a look in!

Brown people don’t figure much in the adverts. Could it be that brown people don’t all look the same to other brown people and some brown people don’t like some other brown people? It is similar to the situation in Northern Ireland. All NI people sound the same, if one doesn’t come from NI, but a native can spot a catholic a mile off and a protestant 1.6 kilometers away.

Clearly with the amount of mixed race people who inhabit this country, there has been a lot of inter-action going on in the past 40 odd years. So I do find it odd that many ads, particularly for holidays and life insurance, portray very mature couples of inter-race, because it was extremely rare to see inter-racial couples half a century ago, which these elderly couples are having us believe.

Australia has been left shocked and appalled by the brazen assault of a Sydney toddler by a security guard who came to Australia as an Iraqi refugee a decade ago.

Now the government is moving to cancel the child predator’s visa.

Watch the interview in the clip above

Mohammad Hassan Al Bayati lured a three-year-old girl down a secluded alleyway at a Sydney shopping centre before sexually assaulting her in 2016.

On Tuesday, he was jailed for four-and-a-half years – with a minimum of two years and six months behind bars.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison will now send Al Bayati back to Iraq, saying he was “sickened” by the refugee’s actions

Our Office of National Statistics work their magic once again for the year 2018 to promote Oliver as number one boy’s name when the accolades ought rightly* to go to Muhammed/Mohammed/Mohammad.

Of course you have to do some drilling down into the figures and perform some math. You’ll need to go to the ONS website & download the spreadsheet.

The BBC obviously won’t both with such journalism and instead alight on the story about Peaky Blinders perhaps poularising the name Arthur.

Most popular boys names of England and Wales in 2018 according to the ONS.

      Muhammed 3507

      Mohammed 1846

      Mohammad 880

      Total: 6233

So, the ONS says that Oliver is the most popular boys name with 5390 but Mohammed with all the variations of its spelling is not as popular achieving….

      …..a mere 6233.

I’ve highlighted the figures in yellow for the spelling variations of Mohammed and then I totalled the three amounts (I don’t have a spreadsheet; this is the method the BBC have used for Oliver:

          Oliver 5390
          Ollie 659
          Total 6049

          3Ms 6233
          Oliver / Ollie 6049

My calculations appear to be accurate. What I am worried about is that Islam is growing in the UK at an alarming rate and this can be measured by the Islamic names in the statistics and I admit to being worried by what the future has in store for us with regard to this cult.
What are you concerned with, the impact of the population explosion by the followers of Sons of the Desert?

I do wonder how many different names are actually considered by different ethnic or religious groups in UK as potentially acceptable ..compared to what seems a very wide spread now for say white parents born and bred here and in their thirties. For example apart from Mohammed etc ..where are all the other “ethnic” names?..or are the babies being born now to heritage Pakistani families all called Norman and Derek?

I got something like 13 spelling of Mohammed in last years list
some were under Md , Mo never mind Turkish variations like Mehmet
.. but you still only needed to add up the top 3 or 4 to get a total than the combined Oliver Ollie spellings.
Some dunmb beeboid tried to argue wiith me that Olaf is a variation.

The main point is the way omit mentioning the popularity of the Mohammed name.

There must be better transmittable diseases being brought into Blighty by those young African chaps coming across the channel as they please .

Maybe if it’s badges up as a “ health emergency “ as they keep trying to do with blacks stabbing each other there might be more more public demand for action .

Why don’t the media ask the single most important question about the thousands of migrants congregating in places like Dunkirk, as they try to smuggle themselves into the UK? The most important question is: why the hell are they so desperate to get out of France and into the UK? On many measures, France is a wealthier country than we are. But the media never ask this question.

I was just listening to yet another interview on this subject on Radio 4’s One O’clock News show, and once again they talked about every subject under the sun apart from this one point.
