Midweek Open Thread 24 July 2019

The Biased Far Left BBC knows full well that the new British Prime Minister is no great fan of it . This will lead to a concerted effort to destroy him before he either achieves a successful Brexit and/or turns his attention to reforming a State Broadcaster which has lost its way and is no longer ‘British’.

Obviously making the BBC British and unbiased again can’t be done with the current corrupt Parliament in place . Boris has a long list of issues to repair the damage done by Mrs May to our country . But with help he must start to drain the corrupt swamp including the Biased BBC. Good luck Bo.

This was the message that Kuenssberg herself was pushing…telling us Boris would appoint bame and women so he’d tick alll the right boxes….and, Kuenssberg siad, this just wasn’t the right way to do things….from the BBC that lives to do just that.

And how insulting to Javid and Patel…..the real example of tokenism was Warsi who rose without trace as they say…made chair of the Tory Party and a Baroness…why?…only because she is Muslim.

If Corbyn had appointed loads of bame and women Kuenssberg would never have said that…despite needing bodyguards to attend a Corbyn conference.

When do Al Beeb ever suggest this might be a good reason to get out of the EU before it takes us down with it? Answer: never. Of course it’s the fault of Brexit and Trump. Sky carry the same story but do not mention Brexit (for a change):

“mainly reflects the ongoing weakness in international trade in an environment of prolonged global uncertainties, which are particularly affecting the euro are manufacturing sector”.

Apologies if it’s been mentioned already but one of the big stories on Fox, was videos of cops in NYC being doused with water by members of the public, while on duty, and in one case hit on the head by a bucket. The sad thing is said cops did not retaliate, and took no action against the assailants. Onlookers laughed. Pretty shocking for US cops IMO. Its covered by many of the major papers and stations, but strangely hasn’t shown up on Al Beeb’s US page…these assault’s took place in Harlem and Brooklyn, so I’m guessing that doesn’t portray Al Beeb’s favourite minorities in a good light.

As a previous contributor mentioned, how many monitoring stations are there today compared, say, to 1976? Stations fairly close to each other can record quite significant variations (never mind the notorious one at Heathrow positioned by the Jumbo jet exhaust, now conveniently ignored) so it is easy to imagine that more stations in previous years could have recorded higher “records”. An analysis of that by the thousands of BBC “journalists” just wouldn’t meet the agenda though, would it?

I think that blogger is jumping to conclusions. The BBC’s response to the FOI request is their stock answer to all FOI requests, their first line of resistance, they haven’t considered his question at all.

To get them to do that would require him to come up with decent arguments on a point-by-point basis as to why the FOI exclusions don’t apply to his specific question. You have to show them that you mean business!

I have had similar run-ins with local authorities over traffic orders, the first response is always, “we are the highway authority and all our traffic orders are legal, (so there!)”. Then I came back with “so why does YOUR drawing for previous traffic order X back my position and not yours?” At which point they realise they have been caught out. (In the case of a local authority they may well get their way, but only by going back to square one and doing the job legally).

The point is, you have to hit them with the rules that they are playing by, unless you have deep pockets and can go for a judicial review.

Whether snow, rain, wind, or heat, the BBC big up the danger warnings, regularly predicting plague and pestilence which rarely actually happen. Today was just another example.

Rises in temperature will be associated with the increase in humidity and hence, discomfort which probably most UK people alone subconsciously measure.
If we had the climate of Saudi Arabia which currently is forecast 9% humidity (for Riyadh) we would be far less uncomfortable and hence less persuaded that temperature was a “man made” problem. My location forecast today? Not dropping less than a very uncomfortable 90% humidity.

The BBC is still in denial and feeding us toxic and dangerous fake news, fabricated ‘news’ that is so patently prejudiced, one-sided and untrue that it would have shamed the most loyal and zealous state broadcaster in any Soviet Bloc country to up their game to compete as they look on in admiration and awed envy at the BBC’s chicanery.

The BBC is, naively or with malice, doing Putin’s work for him. Putin wants to cause as much chaos, disorder and division across the US political spectrum as possible and the BBC, with its fellow American media travellers along with the Democratic Party, are the useful idiots who wreak the havoc as they whip up a storm of political outrage against Trump and everything he does, and it’s all based on lies and wishful thinking on the part of the liberal elite here and in the US who have clambered into bed with Putin and are so enthusiastically spreading his messages intended to tear America apart.

For three years the BBC has pumped out a tsunami of anti-Trump messaging [when it’s not doing the same for Boris] based on their own hatred of his politics or on their accusations that he colluded with the Russians to steal the Presidency….all of it stems from their own liberal world view that cannot tolerate, ironically, any other view that they see as in opposition to theirs…Islam aside of course…they are quite happy to promote that genuinely fascist ideology.

Mueller’s report stated that there was no evidence of Trump colluding with the Russians and thus he was exonerated of that fake accusation…however Mueller claimed that whilst he had no evidence of Trump obstructing the investigation he couldn’t exonerate him there…hmmm…what happened to the presumption of innocence?….surely lack of evidence does exonerate him, you can’t say there’s no evidence but you know what I’m just gonna say he might be guilty.

The BBC of course still pressed the guilty line, not just for obstruction but for collusion as well….combing through the report for the slightest nuance that might suggest, that maybe, just maybe, Mueller really meant to say Trump was a Russian stooge.

Recently we’ve had Mueller being quizzed by Congress and it ain’t been pretty, the boy done bad and the Dems are crying into their lattes. However the BBC just doesn’t see it that way….the BBC writes it up with insinuation after insinuation that Trump did collude and did obstruct the report…..the BBC words it and phrases it with the intent that you are misled as to what is going on, conflating two different issues, making one claim about something else whilst talking about another thing so as to make you think the conclusion applies to the wrong issue…..here for instance….talking about no evidence of conspiracy but then conflates it with the obstruction accusation and the ‘no-exoneration’ on that count trying to make you think Mueller is saying he couldn’t charge Trump for conspiracy because he is a sitting President when in fact he was talking about the alleged obstruction…

‘The report stated that no evidence of a conspiracy was found, but it did lay out 10 instances where the president possibly obstructed justice. Mr Mueller has said his report did not exonerate the president, but that charging a sitting president was not an option.’

The BBC then puts Putin and Trump in the same sentence saying the same thing….thus intending you to think they are linked and are spinning the same line…

‘Both the Russian and US presidents had poured scorn on suggestions of “collusion”, with Mr Trump calling it “the greatest political witch hunt in history”.’

The BBC article goes on and on in the same vein…here for example doing something similar to the above as they report it is normal for party officials to contact foreign natonals…but adds that three were caught lying…but the ‘lying’ was unconnected to any idea of collusion….and most, if not all, the indictments were on issues similarly unconnected with collusion or conspiracy…but the BBC doesn’t tell you that it just leaves you to join the dots provided by the BBC and create the image of conspiracy as the BBC intends you to see….

‘The president’s supporters point out that interactions with foreign nationals are routine during any White House campaign, but three Trump associates have now admitted lying about these encounters.’

What the BBC doesn’t tell us also is that the real collusion was on the Democratic side. What the BBC doesn’t tell you in this long, long report is that Mueller was skewered by accusations that he hadn’t investigated the accusations of that Democratic conspiracy and that Christopher Steele had either lied or been fed lies by Russian agents that were meant to damage Trump…and we know, Steele admitted this, that his sources were active Russian intelligence agents! The BBC just never, ever reports this. Instead they claim the Steele dossier is proof that Trump colluded with the Russians and that the Russians wanted to help him become President. The dossier in fact, quite obviously, proves the complete opposite…the Russians were trying to damage Trump. How is claiming they have a film of him with prostitutes peeing on him in a Russian hotel helping Trump in any way whatsoever?

All this is brought up in the Congressional questioning of Mueller and yet the BBC somehow misses out this crucial and explosive charge.

Naturally Fox News and Breitbart oblige….

Robert Mueller: Democrats’ Collusion with Russia ‘Outside My Purview’

‘Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller told the House Judiciary Committee repeatedly on Wednesday morning that the potential collusion between Democrats and Russians in the 2016 presidential election was “outside my purview.”

Though his mandate required him to investigate Russian interference in the election without specific reference to a particular candidate or party, Mueller made it clear he had only investigated President Donald Trump’s campaign.’

Astonishing that the BBC isn’t in the slightest bit interested in investigating Democratic collusion with the Russians, the evidence for which is far more extensive and convincing than that against Trump.

The BBC has decided to collude with the Russians in an attempt to unseat a US President because they don’t like his policies on immigration and abortion essentially. Then again they are happy to conspire with an anti-semitic, terrorist Marxist wrecker just because Boris is a Tory and a Brexiteer.

There’s that old game of asking who would have been a collaborator if the Russians or Hitler had invaded succesfully?

Not hard to imagine is it. The Russians haven’t even invaded and the BBC cooperatively passes on their black propaganda as ‘news’. I suppose that is the perfect example of BBC balance…the BBC World Service broadcasts liberal, progressive propaganda to Russia trying to undermine its tyrannical regime whilst the BBC at home spreads Russian propaganda throughout the West to undermine its political and social fabric….perfect.

pug – staggering to think that all we got from the bbc was a repeat of that tired old Mueller point that his report had not excluded the possibility that Trump was guilty, or some trash like that.
That’s what happens when you are narrative-driven, rather than events/news driven: your agenda is the thing at almost all times. The news is only provided if it fits in with that, and if it doesn’t, you just keep repeating the same old, same old, the one that does suit your narrative.
I watched Mueller for a while; he seemed old, tired and barely conscious. He could not or would not answer dozens of questions. It is beyond belief that the beeb failed to give us an accurate representation of what went on here, because of their ideological committment to the Dems and their desperate if not pathological desire to nail Trump!

There are major frontpage news reports that the German economy is on the slide….but you won’t find it making headlines on the BBC….not on the frontpage, the world page, the Europe page…but hidden away on the business page…and even then downplayed….

Eurozone prepares for interest rate cut as growth slows

    What’s interesting is this…

‘The European Central Bank has hinted it could cut interest rates to tackle a slowdown in the eurozone economy. It said a weak manufacturing sector and uncertainty about Brexit and trade threatened to derail growth in the bloc.’

Uncertainty about Brexit?….so the EU really does need to sort out Brexit and end that uncertainty….that means they are open for negotiation…not forgetting, despite the BBC not reporting it, that Ireland’s own assessment of the consequences of a no-deal on Ireland is that it would be catastrophic…from the Irish Times….‘It is one of the most alarming documents ever published by an Irish government.’

If they don’t want a no-deal they’d better negotiate a new deal. Odd that the BBC prefers though to insist, on the EU’s behalf it would seem, that the EU has absolutely no intention of reopening negotiations and therefore Boris must surrender and forget Brexit.

You have to ask why the BBC doesn’t want you to know too much about the EU’s economic troubles and the catastrophe that would befall Ireland on a no-deal scenario. If they told you of course you might realise Boris was right and that Parliament, that Remain majority blocking Brexit, is wrong and that Boris has not only the mandate from the 2016 referendum but the tools to do the job if only Parliament would let him…taking no-deal off the table is the deliberate sabotaging of the British negotiating team by the pro-EU Remainers….maybe that might be considered conspiracy or collusion with a foreign power….maybe the BBC will get very irate about that…maybe not. It seems more concerned about fabricating stories about a US President colluding with a foreign power than the reality of that happening right here and now in Britain.

The BBC like this story because it promotes the narrative that immigrants and Third Worlders should be applicable to different laws when in Western Countries and allowed to get away with crimes. There was an analogous case some years ago in Australia, in which a group of Muslim men were on trial accused of the gang rape of an Australian woman. The defence counsel argued that such behaviour was acceptable in their original countries for cultural reasons and therefore we should all be a bit more ‘tolerant’ about such things. I have heard a liberal lawyer argue that the age of sexual consent should be reduced to 12 but for Muslims only as that is a marriageable age in some countries.

Ever given much thought to how you consume a cold drink? Well now, your chosen method could be seen as a political statement. Thousands of Trump-branded plastic straws have been sold on the US president’s official campaign website – at $15 for 10 – since they were launched as an alternative to “liberal” paper straws.

The bright-red straws, laser-engraved with the word Trump, are being marketed as reusable and recyclable, with the message: “Liberal paper straws don’t work. Stand with President Trump and buy your recyclable straws today.” Now environmental groups are saying most plastic straws can’t actually be recycled however – and that the material they’re made of has no practicable use.

IIRC, plastic straws can be recycled but it depends on their PET qualities and ratings. Don’t ask me to explain. The complexity of the technicalities and chemistries scrambles my brain. Just trying to remember the different names results in a Bluebottle moment with BBC Home Service FX of straining with the inevitable result of a snap.

LGBTQWTF, etc..and not as a person with abilities..their problem is they don’t want ability they want diversity at the cost of quality….and separation by characteristic allows them to find an ‘ism’ to throw at anyone not like them.. except for one that they don’t like.. BBC with blue on blue story re the headmistress of the Brummie school v Muslims against LGBT relationship lessons.

It appears that according to the head, the big issue is that the Government is the problem by not her. (The BBC like that one!)

The resolution to this problem seems to me to be so simple. Opt-in by the parents rather than being forced. Everyone happy! The problem would immediately go away. But no, force fed what they believe seems to be the only way.

Let me translate the sheer anti-democratic entitlement of the remark which goes something like this:

We the liberal elite apparatchiks know best and we will educate your children in the ways that we think best and if parents think they can influence us in the way that their children are taught they can just shut up and go away. We always will think we get it about right.

Boris scraps the immigration limit . We may get a points system instead but will it work for us given the pressure from the liberal Globalists for lots of low skilled folk and the desire to dilute Englishness ever more? Is there anyway we can avoid being swamped even further? Can we avoid Islamisation within fifty years?
It’s hugely depressing and makes the battles over Brexit seem trivial in comparison. At times I can’t see that there is anyway out of this awful future and reflect that I’m pleased but guilty that I won’t be around to see it.
There are some countries in the EU , we all know them, which are bravely refusing to accept this Islamisation. They are up against France and Belgium which are in a worse state than we are. Perhaps it could be termed the curse of Empire. Germany for baffling reasons is going the same way and Sweden is ten to twenty years ahead of us.
If we stay in the EU we will only add to the pressure on the resisting nations to cave in and accept migrants because we will side with France et al. If we leave the EU we will accept even more third worlders than at present. It’s all so depressing.we are living through the last decades of England and of Europe.

It really is clear that politicians have no idea of what the public wants, or maybe they do.
Maybe there is a reason for granting amnesty to (at least one million) illegal immigrants and providing easier entry to the UK for yet more third world immigrants.
Is it to provide a future core voting base for political parties or to weaken and destabilize the existing voters? Thirty years ago many Constituency Labour Parties in English cities were predominantly white, now as in my own local labour Party in Perry Barr in Birmingham, they are predominantly Pakistani Muslim.
Politicians are aware of high birth rates in ethnic communities and the pressure this places on housing and school places. The NHS is buckling under the strain of trying to cope with the health problems of the new arrivals; not so long ago we thought we had eradicated TB in this country, now, cases are on the increase. Most outbreaks are to be found to be found in areas where asians or east europeans live; Special Schools in the Birmingham, Bradford and Leeds etc are populated with the offspring of first cousin Pakistani Muslim marriages who have severe physical or mental health problems; and In certain cities, black people (the BBC likes to call these criminals ‘disaffected youths’) are responsible for most knife crime (sorry but this IS a fact) and have a high disproportionate representation in the prison system for the size of their population.
The politicians however and the MSM are protected from the raising of these inconvenient facts publicly because if anyone does, they are immediately labelled ‘racist’.
So the majority of the public stay quiet.
The BBC did not report on the mass looting and attacks on shoppers and shop workers in an Aldi store in Birmingham on Wednesday night (the one right over the road from Warwickshire County Cricket Club) by scores of black youths. The Birmingham Mail did but as usual the perpetrators were only described as ‘youths’, although it is clear from the video they are all black:

Following up on the last posting about the harassment of Darren Grimes by the Electoral Services Commission which was found to have vexatiously and wrongly persued Mr Grimes, a tweet was made by the Commission which was an old statement with an update.
This was misread by the Guardians Carole Cadwalladr who tweeted that Grimes had subsequently been found guilty of a further 2 crimes and referred to the Police.

This was of course false, but it did not stop the BBC ever eager to stick the knife into vote leave, not bothering to fact check the tweet and reporting it as fact on their breaking news page (since deleted).

Cadwalladr did after much prevarication admit to her mistake, but not before the remainer media had jumped all over it, and being so eager to report bad news about vote leave, reported false news as fact without even bothering to check.

Perhaps we might call this leftist privilidge, where your tweets are taken as Gospel truth without the need for checking, whereas other media tweets are taken as false with the need for proof to be produced.

@LaylaMoran MP for Oxford West & Abingdon
      Retweeted Cadalladr
      and thenwhen the error emerged
tweeted “Ok. Am told this *isn’t quite right*. An update not new.”
.. those words are very dishonest.

Reasons to feel at home in Montreal.

Not under EU rule therefore no Remoaners. The Queen rules and her head is on the coins. A bit like the Channel Islands because its more British than London. The flag of Montreal looks like the flag of England with five emblems on it and the Canadian Red Ensign flies over the Port of Montreal.

This Mendoza woman is clearly a racist she is accusing people of colour of not being people of colour – she is also clearly a bigoted bloody looney? How is this cabinet any of the things she says? Well that’s Labour for you these days

    I just logged into Twitter
and it starts pushing news stories at me
    – anti-Trump etc.
but then it pushes Stuchbery at me , and the wording says I am seeing it cos I follow BBC Young Reporters
..FFS what is the connection between the autistic antifa obsessive and the BBC account ?
I checked and they never mentioned each other in their tweets.
It seems Twitter is saying cos you follow BBCYoungReport, we’ll show you the EDUCATION section
and they put Stuchbery in the Education section, (the Australian was a supply teacher)

That is a malevolent, calculating look. Why the media takes any notice of this delusional child should be baffling, but when it comes to ‘climate change’ anything is grist to the mill.

Is this just the left stirring it up, or is Cummings BoJo’s Oily?

    https://brexitcentral.com/today/brexit-news-for-friday-26-july/
Tory Eurosceptics accused Mr Johnson of “binning off” the European Research Group of Brexiteers now that he was in power. They blamed Dominic Cummings, the former head of Vote Leave, who has been appointed the most senior adviser in Downing Street. Mr Cummings has made little secret of his disdain for some members of the ERG, describing them as a “narcissist delusional subset” and a “metastasising tumour” that needs to be “excised”. – The Times (£)

DS, good for Kate. She’s a star!

Everyone (on Remain & at the Beeb) look at Bojo as being key for the Leave Campaign but I reckon it was Gisela Stuart and Kate Hoey and Frank Field (on the Labour side) and Jacob Rees-Mogg and Steve Hilton and a couple of others (from the Conservatives) who really drove things along.

    WIMMINS HOUR Watch #2

Dany Cotton was not averse to using the phrases “Lessons will be learned.” or “Lessons will have to be learned.” and managed one or other several times in just the first fifteen minutes of the programme. At least it fully calibrated my Bullshit Meter for a later retail encounter.
