The final week of a failed PM and the Parliament . Normal service is meant to shut down . The BBC adults hand over to the children until September .The bias is usually even easier to spot.

First analysis after the headlines is by, ‘our Norm’ who explained that Boris will have a job on his hands, “getting his hard-line policies” through. Strange, I’ve never heard a vastly overwhelming vote by the British Public for something described as, “hard-line”. But, silly me, I keep forgetting that in the BBC’s lexicon is based solely on these sorts of Marxists expressions. Anyway, expect more of the same in this extended Twato.

One aspect of the Brexit saga that I can’t understand is why the Remainer majority in the HoC didn’t vote for May’s Brino. It could never have been construed as Brexit but merely as remaining without voting rights, such as they are.
Perhaps they imagined that they could get an even softer Brexit or not to leave at all. Perhaps they still wanted to part of the Brussels gravy train and thought they could face down Brexit completely. Basically did they over play their hand?
There is another more disturbing possibility and that is do they know , not imagine or hope, do they know for certain that as plans and plots unfold , we will not be leaving . Do they have an ace up their sleeves?
If they don’t and they just made a wrong calculation in voting down May’s Brino they are going to look very stupid and the careers of a lot of them are going to be toast .

Sometimes the error in coming “into the pits” at the wrong time can be fatal for one’s chances of winning the race. Hamilton of F1 fame proves that. He always chooses the right time. Hence all his wins.

Minor interruption to the Boris news: After an injunction that stopped the Islam / LGBT protests around the Birmingham school which were “too serious to tolerate” earlier this year it looks very much like they’ve upped sticks and moved somewhere else.

Chief troublemaker Ayaz Ahmed is stirring things up again, despite not having any direct link to the area and now — according to Nottinghamshire Live — objecting to relationship and sex education (RSE) lessons (it was the ‘No Outsiders’ project that kicked things off originally but now it’s widening in scope):

—“You think you can sit quietly in your Masjids whilst our whole home is being destroyed. I don’t think so. This is everybody’s problem and I’m telling you now we’re going to keep on campaigning and everybody will be held to account for the destruction of lives of children in this city…”

Sky are covering it but nothing on BBC; their Nottingham page prefers to lead with a sexism whine about a billboard ad for air con that uses the line ‘your wife is hot’.

As always, local papers best for actual journalism… including pictures that the useless MSM would deem too harmful for community relations…

Risks posed by right-wing extremists in the UK are to be included in the terror threat level system from now on.
Previously the system only assessed the threat from “international terrorism” international lol

The changes do not affect the current threat level of “severe”, meaning an attack is “highly likely”.

so adding in ALL those dangerous 17.4 right-wing extremists makes no change to the threat level

and what about the risks posed by left-wing extremists???

    • fakenewswatcher says:

Kaiser – you pose an interesting question. I have a feeling that, whether you are murdered by Mao or Hitler, is not going to matter much to you, if you are a victim.
This is really about the continuing work to discredit the term ‘right-wing’, and now even, to create a link between it and terror. From a Labour government, this little piece of mischief would have been understandable. That it should come from a ‘Conservative’ Home Secretary, speaks volumes.
It enables you to create weird mental images, for instance, to see Rees-Mogg, wielding a sub-machine gun, or Tebbit raising a stabbing knife over a victim. It is a piece of silliness, from people who don’t understand you need to use language with caution at a high level.

It does -of course- also speak volumes about another failed Home Secretary, who went on to become Prime Minister and has made some poor appointments. I think she will have dotted the landscape with quite a few unexploded bombs, by the time she finally goes…
We saw yesterday how damaging it is when the forces of Law and Order get it wrong. Seems we’re going to carry on along that path…

Separately, Mrs May has also appointed a senior Imam at Makkah Mosque, in Leeds, to provide advice on the “definition of Islamophobia” to the government.

Imam Qari Asim MBE, Deputy Chair of the Anti-Muslim Hatred Working Group, will lead a process for establishing a definition of Islamophobia. He will be joined by a second adviser to be confirmed in due course.

However, the government has already confirmed the definition “will not be legally binding”.
      He’s put out a message
“To tackle the alarming rise in anti-Muslim sentiment, it is imperative that Islamophobia is defined.
“I am deeply committed to working across Muslim communities and with relevant stakeholders to formulate a legally robust, comprehensive and workable definition of Islamophobia.

“I am honoured to be entrusted with this role, which will have a far reaching impact in protecting British Muslims and tackling anti-Muslim hatred

Will Boris bring in Remainers into his cabinet or Brexiteers ? That will be the acid test .
He has already chosen Frost as an EU advisor ………

ha! ha ! Duncan Kennedy (BBC) on the beach in Bournemouth interviewing bathers on the beach, as he speaks of the heat coming up from Africa. So waddyaknow, he doesn’t interview any one who is white, no they were bathers of African heritage, and an Asian in a headscarf. Doesn’t it make you weep.

“and an Asian in a headscarf”

Copying their forefathers and mothers who always dressed that way on’t blackpool beach in’t 40s-60s.

      That’s the 1940-60s.

Besides, the scarves were better made in those days – made in the UK – not China.

… and scarves as worn by our Grandmas had a completely different function than the in-your-face-look-at-me-I’m-a-muslim hijab.

Ves …… You were clearly a lot posher in Blackpool, on the Kent coast it was the knotted hanky that was the accessory of choice !!!

            B,

            Of course we were posher.

In fact, funny you mention Muslim women as we posh black people are considering whether we should make our wives follow behind us @ 5 feet or 10 feet that way we can chat to our white women who – when we go to our taxis – always lie on their backs 0 mm above us.

    Silly idea on Look North
.. they went to a lido and walked around asking kids and all if they liked Boris
They got some hatey comments like they wanted, but most didn’t seem to care about TV-land politics.

ITV was in Scunthorpe fishing for business people who would give Project Fear quotes.

Not quite true she has set up a childcare facility in the work space, not that I agree with that but lets get things correct otherwise…

The BBC just cannot help itself when it comes to undermining the optimism and positivity being offered both by Brexit and by our newly appointed Prime Minister.
The news at six followed the usual BBC pattern of rushing the viewer through the real news I.e. unfiltered coverage of the actual events of the day as they happened.
We got a brief, heavily edited version of Boris’s uplifting acceptance speech.
But far, far more time was duly devoted to a raft of so-called BBC experts and analysts who then told us what we really ought to think.
They were led by Laura Kuenssberg who stated that Boris would be busy “cleaning up the mess he helped create”.
Not an “opportunity”, not even a “challenge”, but a “mess”. This biased, editorialising nonsense is what passes as BBC news these days.
I was just taking all this in when I was distracted by yet another BBC “expert” who was lecturing us about a “climate event”. Not the “summer”, not “welcome hot weather” but a “climate event”. They never stop, do they?

      Ed,

That’s why I never watch those News programmes.

      Let them talk amongst themselves.

      They will soon burn out.

interesting how little richard would have thrived if the words for Tutti Frutti were allowed to stand as he wrote them….as his esperiences as a gay prositiute it says a lot about attidudes in the past but more about how we have advanced as a society in tolerance except for muslims
