Depends on the rendition. This is the full works. Most of the time it is played by a military band and sounds, to me, like a silly little tune lifted from a Disney cartoon.

‘God Save The Queen’ has been used from Thailand to Greece to Germany. This ditty, as far as I’m aware, hasn’t.

Having rather fewer resources than our £4bn a year state funded Islamic State Broadcaster, naturally I would find it difficult to check out ‘member of the public’ Imam Abdullah’s credentials as a school deputy head. Which sounds such a mainstream role, does it not?

    And how are they doing?
    Errr, not very well.

    Click to access OfstedReport2018.pdf

So the bBBC’s idea of impartial and representative is an Imam who is the deputy head of a fee-paying Islamic school not up to standard and with under 200 pupils.

Amazing. What are the chances of that?

Yes I’ve been listening this afternoon to the BBC news total suprise that he had those Twitter posts and also the other fellow who was on was a labour activist. What a shock, ha the BBC think we are absolutely stupid. It’s obvious the BBC knew all about these two characters and I wouldn’t be suprised that the BBC and labour worked hand in glove over that. The BBC are doing their utmost to crash boris’s chances. SLIMEBALLS.

I just finished reading the latest report (55 minutes ago) on the bbbc site regarding the Tory leadership race. Here is the number of times each candidate is mentioned in the article

    Jeremy Hunt 2
    Sajid Javid 5
    Michael Gove 6
    Dominic Raab 6
    Boris Johnson 8
    Rory Stewart 14

This is a rhetorical question: Why would Mr Stewart be mentioned so often?

On LBC a short while ago, a slot given over to the elusory far right groups who are apparently discussing muslims and islam in private conversations on line, in not very complimentary words. As usual, the basic message is that muslims are the eternal victims, they never harm anyone and never ever say anything nasty about anyone. Therefore these horrible English men and women must have their freedom of thought and speech curtailed. There was no effort at all by the LBC mouthpiece to ask the obvious question: what have muslims done that causes these English men and women to criticise them so severely?

I for one know exactly why they have negative thoughts about muslims and the evidence is there and growing by the day. But for LBC and the rest of the MSM swamp they refuse to acknowledge it. One of these days, probably sooner than the swamp rats expect, islam is going to hit them smack in the face and I wonder how they’ll react when that day comes.

    But.
in the Euro election in Peterborough, Brexit Party achieved 38.1% of entire vote share whereas Liebour got 17%.
Less than 2 weeks later in by-election Brexit Party got 28.8% whereas Liebour got 30%. Apparently, the Brexit vote collapsed and the Labour share soared. Why? Discrepancies this significant usually down to sexual peccadilloes or criminal activity of individual or party. Brexit Party were riding high – so why the massive fall?
Who benefitted from the 1/3rd of postal votes?
    Why so many?

You don’t get anything like that on the 6pm Radio4 News very often, if at all. As Fed has mentioned below, Rory Stewart was the last out of five in this small field. I think the BBC will champion either Javid or Hunt.

And the BBC have been caught red-handed in their audience stacking for political debate and questions programmes.

Norman Stone has died. He used to appear regularly on BBC TV & Radio as something of an authority on matters Russian and European, especially in the 1970s, 80s & 1990s. If I recall correctly, the Prof was not a big fan of the EU in its most recent iterations. Since I gave up TV and Stone moved to Turkey he hasn’t been on Radio 4 much at all.

Aman Thakar accused the panel leadership candidates of having no democratic mandate to lead the country as only Conservative Party members can vote in the final round.

A historic tweet by Mr Thakar read: “Hitler’s abuse of the term nationalism is, to me, a nationalist, the most harmful part of his legacy.”

Adolf Hitler’s legacy includes the killing of six million European Jews.

Mr Thakar is a former Labour Party council candidate and was subsequently brought in by Labour peer Shami Chakrabarti to help investigate anti-Semitism within the party. He has now been suspended by his current employer Leigh Day solicitors.

It comes after another another guest on the show was found to have made controversial remarks about Israel.”

The triple stabbing last night in north London was just up the road from me. And on Monday, half a mile from there, I was having coffee and got to witness an incident with a vibrant teenager which needed 6 cops, one police car and one van to sort out.

Meanwhile our mayor this week is commemorating the anniversaries of the Finsbury Park attack and Jo Cox’s murder with more Twitter babble in #LondonUnited and #MoreInCommon. And the BBC wants to usher in a new era of world peace with ‘Crossing Divides’: “Sparking conversations in a fragmented world” by encouraging people to chat with their fellow passengers…. oh and Rory wants a new national service to bring people together and help to instill a “sense of national pride”.

If you did some analysis over the last 20 years I’d put good money on the increasing need to “bring the country together” going hand in hand with the explosion of the use of the word “community”.

But in the meantime we’ll continue to get O-level sociology, chatty buses and useless hashtag campaigns to paper over the cracks.

More revelation about the BBCs massive Left wing bias, when they allowed a known (to them) Labour party HQ worker to question the Tory leaders but failed to let anyone else know !

Worse than that he was in charge of anti semitism investigations within Labour, and has at this time been tweeting apologies for Hitler which has led to his law firm bosses sacking him.

It is also alleged the BBC knew, or should have known of this, along with the Imams tweets which had only been made two days before the program.

Cuuuuuuum on England. I mean that. I always want English teams to do well. #despitebrexit.

My point is that as the licence tax increases the standard of programming gets worse. 7.00pm to 10.05pm on the bbbc’s prime channel given over to this.

We used to get The Open, Formula One, 6 Nations, Test match cricket etc. Now this. There looks about 5,000 in the crowd- who knows how many are friends and family and officials and school freebies.
Good luck to all concerned but this is not good enough. Embarrassing even.

I support English teams only, and there are none nowadays.
I do not support England teams, especially at football.
Filled will aliens from 5 million BC, cheating from kick off to final whistle, moaning every other second,
practising for the World Spitting Championship every ten seconds, disgusting.

In 1966 we won without the “benefit”of these ghastly organisms.

Likeker is just a Peter Pan, he never grew up, intellectually, he still believes all the propaganda he heard at
school. Plus the new “facts” he has absorbed whilst absorbing millions of BBC money.

Similar issue with most of these so-called “celebrities”, who should be paid in washers.

They need a special quiz programme on the BBC for them. Entitled Plankety Plank.

Whilst objecting to Graham Norton’s salary at least folk tune in because of him. How many watch MOTD because of Linekar? I suspect some are put off by his presence. I fast forward whenever he’s talking.
My solution? Don’t renew his contract. Audition a replacement(or get Sunday’s presenter to do it). Offer expenses only. The profile gained from the job would mean loads of income streams would open up. 1000’s would apply. Most would be perfectly adequate. €2,000,000 saved.
        Me for Director General…..

I’m happy that heroin abuser and treacherous Remainer Uriah Heep had such a dismal exit from the race. I’m also happy that the enthusiastic support he got from the BBC didn’t help him at all. Who knows, it might even have had the reverse effect.

English news here in Israel had a report from their journo in London and he pointed out that Boris at 143 had the precise votes of his surviving opponents combined.

I’m a bit removed from it all and I was wondering if an esteemed colleague here could direct me to a good analysis of what this latest vote means and the likely future outcome.

I feel secure in the knowledge that nobody here will point me towards the BBC for enlightenment.

      Try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUcHOncblYs
It’s a little behind the times but it offers an excellent assessment of what Boris will be faced with in any event.

You learn all the time. Apparently there is not only ‘racism’, there is also ‘subtle racism’. Maro Itoje slammed black players being complimented for their power and speed, rather than their skill, in rugby. (Daily Mail)
This is the sort of craziness you end up with when you embark on the game of playing the race card, so much encouraged in our society these days.
Presumably there were never any white players who were complimented for their power and speed, rather than their skill?
And no black players complimented on skill? I don’t follow rugby, but I refuse to believe this rubbish.
I think journos/editors would do well to think a little, before they write/publish.
Like the gender issue, the race issue has now been catapulted to absurd levels of excess by the ideology of Political Correctness, as it breeds ever more complicated levels of victimhood/offense-taking/advantage taking.
As ideologies go, I think we may have entered the Totalitarian zone with this one.

The more the BBC try to ‘educate’ me the more stupid I become. Their tirades against Brexit make me desperate for it to happen. Their peculiar adulation of Islam makes me more anti-Muslim. Their twisted anti-Trump obsession makes me love him even more. Their preoccupation with ethnic and sexual minorities makes me more intolerant of them. Once upon a time I would not have cared about anyone’s religion, ethnicity, sexual preference, gender etc. Now that the BBC have repeatedly told me that every injustice is my fault because I’m a white, straight, male, I’m obsessed with it all. Thanks BBC.

You hit the nail on the head . If they were clever they’d gradually do the brainwashing but they seem to have applied the goebbells playbook for 1933 in order to achieve national socialism by 1939 .

However people – especially the British – who have been sold so many lies- are instinctively cynical about dumb attempts by the MSM to make us think and behave in a particular – approved – way .

We will win . The swamp will be drained .
