No address to Parliament – The reason being ?
They don’t like his politics but no such reason for others, no matter how distasteful or illegal. Petulant schoolgirls triumph again.

Note Parliament has extended it’s holidays – they won’t sit the day after the EU Elections – funny that.

It’s possible the rats in the HoP are afraid President Trump will call them out for the swamp rats they are. And that’s why they don’t want him to speak to them in their cosy little swamp club.

      • Emmanuel Goldstein says:

If I was Farage I would ask Trump to address a big meeting of the Brexit party seeing that our honourables will not be allowing him in Westminster.

You know what, Trump might just accept.
        How good would that be.

    From BBC News Europe producer
promoting her R4 PM item today

    • Dystopian says:

It seems to me that a big part of the opposition to Brexit is that a lot of people can’t seem to differentiate between the “EU” and the continent of Europe itself. Does she mean “who doesn’t like Europe?”

      • vesnadog says:

Her BBC boss’ don’t care as long as she has the correct tint in her hair, tattoos on her neck (nice/freak) stud in her tongue and her mouth spewing out the right kind of profanities then she will go far with her mature BBC employees who no doubt in time might even copy her style, and her profanities etc etc… though I think she might learn a few foul rants from her bosses.

What a dwelling place of anti-English/anti-Scottish/anti-Welsh/anti-N.Irish/ anti-sanity the BBC has become.

Yet the BBC employees scoff and claim: we don’t see it?

That’s right! They don’t see it because they are blinded too it.

  4. StewGreen says:

Today’s example of BBC’s changing definition of offence
At 11:58am on @BBCRadio4 the presenter Hugo Rifkind another metro-liberal
first quoted a bit from Newsnight
.. “F*ck knows” and then said “Screw Peterborough”
… The BBC thinks that kind of language is OK at lunchtime these days

.. But a tweet that was quickly deleted after about 20 people saw it
.is somehow the worst thing in the world.

      ” Attenborough”

Bet he leaves nowt in his will too any of the many UK animal charities who care for pets of poor owners and shelters that take in abused dogs etc who survive from payday too payday yet he will most likely leave most of his millions to mother earth, too mother earth people, too the green machine (where is the green goddess these days?), and no doubt be mentioned at his memorial service by BONO or Geldof, L. Allen creatures by means of the traitor party known these days as the BBC.

The bad news keeps on coming for the Remain camp –

    The economy doing well
Brexit Party about to storm the Euro elections
Their pointless petition didn’t change a thing
Their pointless march didn’t change a thing.

    Happy days

Great news, fastest manufacturing growth in over 30 years! You’d be forgiven for thinking otherwise though given the usual BBC negative slant . It really is hilarious and ignominious in equal measure to see the ifs, buts and maybes from random commentators who nobody has heard of. It must be getting harder and harder to find them with the constant tide of good economic news!

Whether Brexit happens or not; the biggest threat to the UK’s economy is Corbyn and the Labour Party.

  7. Doobster78 says:

Remember again folks … all views his own … not that of the BBC !!!

Staggering thing is, his sheep followers truly believe the Local elections results showed a real hunger for Remain …. cant they get it in their thick heads, it was a Protest Vote. Wait until the Euro’s and the Brexit Party are on the ballot paper, then you will see the smug smiles wiped of their faces !!! They live in a fantasy land. Check out the snowflake Josh Gibson …… honestly, what a wet blanket …….how can you be so fu**in soft.

    • Roland Deschain says:

Pretty sure that I read the LibDems’ number of votes hadn’t gone up by much, it’s just that the Tory vote vanished.

Which goes to show that not voting just means you’ll be ignored. The media concentrates on percentages and winners, not absolute numbers. Always use your vote for maximum impact – which in the case of the Euro elections means Brexit Party.

      • G says:

I still think there’s no real support for the anti democratic LibDums who primarily want to abandon Brexit altogether. The voter overwhelmingly saw them as a pair of safe(?) hands to dominate local authorities – for the t ime being. When something better comes along, the LibDums popularity will disappear – again.

        • StewGreen says:

” his sheep followers truly believe the Local elections results showed a real hunger for Remain”
Seems to me the Lib dems didn’t actually get many votes
so the Remain pollys spouting that the LE was an endorsement
are just doing PR ,they don’t believe that message themselves..

    • john in cheshire says:

Here’s something for the far-left bbc collective, including Mr lineker, to think about, even though no doubt they won’t:

      Psalm 12, verse 8
” The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted ”

      Psalm 14, verses 1-3
” The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
” The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand and seek God.
” They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”

Is it now acceptable for us to go to Belgium to interfere in their internal arrangements? Can we go to Poland too?
What about Greece, can we organise protests in that country about say their high unemployment levels and ECB and IMF and Goldman Sachs looting of the country?
Is there any EU country now where foreigners cannot interfere? Because that’s what the empty vessel that is Mr verhofstadt is now condoning.

And Mr I’m chewing a wasp Cable has confirmed what we all knew – he’s a traitor to our country and is eager to sell us to the EU for, no doubt, his 30 pieces of silver.

  9. Terminal Moraine says:

This was high up the home page yesterday: The Chicago Cubs have banned a fan indefinitely from Wrigley Field for making an alleged racist gesture.

“Cameras picked up the fan making a gesture behind Glanville’s back. The Cubs concluded the gesture was “more likely than not” racist in nature […] The gesture “has become associated with white supremacy.” […] Cubs president Theo Epstein said the incident was “truly disgusting” and told reporters on Wednesday the person would “never be welcome back to Wrigley Field”.

Got it? It’s now an offence to make gestures that are truly disgusting (more likely than not). Allegedly.

And here’s that sidebar picture again… original stock image data is: “PALESTINIAN-GAZA-SPORT-SOFTBALL-WOMEN: Young Palestinian women take part in a weekly training session of softball on March 2, 2017, in Gaza City. / AFP PHOTO / MOHAMMED ABED”.

What kind of trusted, impartial BBC picture editor searches for Palestinian women in Gaza as a suitable way to illustrate a piece on Baseball Softball UK? (Answers on a postcard)

  10. StewGreen says:

Danny Baker BADMAN he used a joke tweet he’d used before
    he made a mistake
    JeremyVine he GOODMAN ?
.. On his R2 show whilst people are at home eating their lunchtime sandwich
he is emotionally blackmailing us by forcing the father of Martha to tell us how she died
.. after he let her order a Pret A Manger sandwich, and the family failed to ask about food allergies
Yes like Danny that father made a mistake
..his daughter died ..he is a super-victim

    • JimS says:

Typical faux outrage over Baker. Many years ago i worked with a much-loved Indian guy. Every morning he would greet us loudly with a “Good morning monkeys!” He said there were black monkeys, brown monkeys and white monkeys, we were all monkeys. That’s the way to do it if we want harmony, but there is no story there so the BBC keeps stirring up the hatred.

Vine just wasn’t up to the sad story of Martha was he? There were a lot of unasked questions there. Skydiving in Gran Canaria, sandwiches from ‘Pret’ – a family with money? We got soggy tomato and egg sandwiches made by Mum if we were likely to get hungry on a journey, cheaper and smarter I think. At what point did the aircrew get involved? They were virtually written out of the story. London to Nice must have many emergency diversion options one would think, but only if the aircrew are aware.

I’m not even sure that their campaign will do much good, what if all suppliers ‘play safe’ and declare that, ‘product produced in a factory where allergens may be present’?

    TWatO Watch #1

The Horror-bin gets an early edge over regular Friday stand-in presenter, Mark Mardell. (Am wondering if all is well with The Montacutie. She was stumbling over her words, really struggling, during the programme yesterday.)

The EU … er… sorry, Europe, is consuming too much of the world’s resources.

But then – suddenly – when considering President Trump’s so-called ‘Trade War’ with China, the American consumer becomes important. “But prices for Americans will become more expensive.” almost splutters MM.

Mark Mardell fails to join up the dots with two different items in the space of about 15 minutes while in charge of TWatO.

    I wonder why?

  12. G says:

“In 2014, the BBC did a thorough analysis of Islamic terror attacks occurring during the month of November. They found 664 attacks and 5,042 deaths. Our list has only 284 attacks and 2,515 deaths for that month, meaning that we under-counted the true extent of Islamic terror by a significant margin. ”

Spot the gross error of the RoP?
Contributors here will know instintively that the BBC are in no way renowned for their ability to carry out an unbiased, “thorough anaylsis”. Or perhaps Jon Sweeney played a part in that particular ‘analysis’…………..

  13. Up2snuff says:

    TWatO Watch #2

Still on US >< China 'trade war' and the word 'protectionist' was used both by contributors and presenter Mark Mardell.

Mark, of course, made no reference to the EU and its protectionist tariffs.

    I wonder why?

    I watched QT last night.
Is it me, or does Anna Soubry, with that fixated stare and heavy but pale make-up, not look like an undead emerging out of a tomb in an old Hammer horror movie?
And that’s before she opens her mouth and speaks. And speaks. And speaks. And……….

    • Up2snuff says:

Did she go on a bit, Sluff?

      Now, there’s a thing!

      TWatO Watch #3

Going on a bit were John Lanchester, author, and a lady academic who said ‘So’ quite a bit, including at the start of sentences so she must be an expert. She was a ‘literary critic’ and Prof from a Yooni somewhere in London, brought on to talk about the science of Anthropogenic Global Warming and Climate Change. Say no more.

Mark Mardell had a bit of a snooze. Just as well, because he could not have got an edge in wordways, especially when the academic was in full flow.

      It was relentless.

Shame really, there was a burning question about cold. Yes, cold , really. They played at the start of the programme the line from the recent R4 ‘Book at Bedtime’ production of Lanchester’s book about it being cold on the wall. Yes. Cold doing sentry duty on the wall. COLD pronounced miserable.

This begged two questions: cold during massive warming of the globe, and, why would people wish to migrate to a small country threatened by submersion under the sea? Anyone with half a brain – that they were using – would head to the high ground in their own country, not travel vast distances to lowlands under threat from the sea. No chance of getting a question or two about that during the eco-babble. The BBC and Mardell could have tried but did not. No time left.

      I wonder why?

How to win at left/liberalism (a handbook for the Beeb)

    1. Recruit or befriend as many people who think like you as you can into positions where their opinions are deemed to carry weight.( Most notably University Academics. )

    2. Make a list of opinions that you don’t like because they threaten some of your opinions.

    3. Tag that list to everyone you don’t like.

    4. Gradually convert “opinions you don’t like” into “unacceptable behavior”.

    5. Huddle together to convert “unacceptable behaviour” into “hate crimes” etc.

    6. All opposition should now be squashed.

    7. Take over total control of everything.

It’s so easy to get into trouble because the possibility of offending others is increasing hourly.
They should be warned that the U.K. population is extremely sensitive and prone to be offended for the slightest of perceived reasons and is liable to have an attack of the vapours or break down and cry before running away to hide in a safe space.
Not us on bbbc of course, it’s the little lefties.

  22. TrueToo says:

Watched Question Time against my better judgement.

Seems the BBC is making a superhuman effort to appear unbiased re Brexit, perhaps because of its obligation to report impartially before an election. And so there were two genuine Leavers – Nigel Farage and John Mills – on the programme at the same time! (Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think that has ever happened before.)

But of course it would be unthinkable to have Leavers outnumber Remainers on the panel, and so the latter were three: Anna Soubry, Amber Rudd and a shadowy Labour Economic Minister named Jonathan Reynolds.

Soubry and Rudd proved that it is possible to champion a profoundly-unjust cause with great self-righteous passion and blind disregard for differing opinions. How do they do it? These two are not stupid so we can rule out stupidity. Perhaps they see themselves as martyrs for globalism, leading the ignorant masses to enlightenment after their enormous blunder of voting for Brexit.

Reynolds was unimpressive, doing the usual Labour thing of trying to appear united while everyone and his dog knows that Labour is seriously split, and not only over Brexit.

Mills didn’t come out strongly for Leave, but made sense. The main battle was between Farage and the women. They tried their hardest to disparage him, but he got the better of them with humour and unflappable logic and even seemed to get Fiona Bruce comfortable with him:

Fiona: “You didn’t answer the question.”
Nigel: “Well, ask me another one.”

That also got a chuckle or three from the audience.

Fiona Bruce seemed quite fair, even asking Nigel if he would like to see a Brexiteer Prime Minister and gently reprimanding a smug airhead lefty from the audience who insulted Nigel by claiming he was pandering to racists.

It wasn’t a bad QT at all. The next one should be interesting as it will be the last one before the EU elections.

Their failure to act as a police service now means that anyone who does the same and is changed can claim discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, and political belief should they be charged.
