The Markle woman is getting married yet again in another of the Hallmark Channels made for tv films (Movies 24) – she’s made around half a dozen of these chic flicks during her time in Suits. These are films with Hallmark’s stable of young actors who will never make their name on the big screen, so how she managed to claim the Clooneys, Oprah Winfrey and others as ‘friends’ is unadulterated social climbing at its best ! You have to hand it to her though, she’s running rings around Harry, and the poor sod cant see it as he’s so smitten.

No doubt these magnificent 7 ex labour MPs will be giving their constituencies the opportunity to show how much they back them by having 7 by elections.

These 7 all want a ‘people’s vote’ as the people may think differently now over leaving the eu so now is the time to show how fair, open and democratic they are by holding by elections. After all, people voted them in on a labour manifesto but people change their minds as they keep telling us.

The girl, Angela Smith, on politics live today has said her leaving the Labour Party was a moral decision and she knows her voters all support her therefore she can safely hold the by election knowing that she has it in the bag.

Same with sobery and Wollaston etc, get out and hold the by elections.

But, of course, none of them will.
    They know they will lose.

An increasingly common occurrence in news reports is a point where the BBC correspondent blithely utters a phrase I find incomprehensible in its illogic and yet it was clearly carefully designed and written so as to fit a specific (and to me alien) view of the world.

This afternoon BBC reporter Yolande Nell is covering a rather touchy subject for the BBC : displaced Syrian families returning to an increasingly united and pacified country under… Bashar al-Assad.

Our Yolande Nell when referring to these persons utters this corker “they are giving up all their rights as refugees”

Excuse me, but isn’t it generally considered to be a bad thing to be a refugee? Not some kind of elevated international super-status.

Isn’t it a jolly good thing they feel safer going back? Are they not (to coin a phrase) looking for a better life than in a refugee camp.

Or, is there perhaps some regret voiced here by Nell that they are now stepping off a potential conveyor belt to the West?

One thing you won’t hear in her report is any regret from the BBC for the neocon-like short-sighted culturally naive liberal sentiment that helped stir up that old Arab Spring thing.

On a day when FakeNews and OTHER organisations, not themselves of course, is back on the BBC agenda, they themselves are being deceptive here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-47156853

They make this claim: “CORRECT – It’s 10,000 litres. Cotton needs a lot of water to grow, which is having dramatic ecological consequences, causing deserts to form in the Aral Sea.”

IIRC, the desertification of the Aral Sea is nothing to do with growing cotton. So I go and check. Uzbekistan is, apparently not such a major cotton producer as the BBC would have you believe. They claim it is responsible for the Aral Sea drying up.

But isn’t mining & mineral processing the main activity around the Aral Sea? Where is that 4.6 million bales of Uzbek cotton produced? In the south-east and north east of the country apparently, according to Wiki which may or may not be accurate. The Aral Sea is in the north-west of the crescent shaped country. And apparently the Government of Uzbekistan is reducing their share of world cotton production to grow more food crops, anyway.

Deliberate FakeNews from the BBC. Following on from the deliberate BBC FakeNews about Porsche Cars and post-Brexit tariffs yesterday.

The water of the Aral Sea didn’t just come from nowhere. it was fed by the Amu and Syr rivers; both of which were diverted into irrigation canals to grow (amongst other things) cotton. Hence leaving very little to top up the Aral Sea.

This was part of the Soviet plan for cotton, or ‘white gold’, to become a major export. This temporarily succeeded, and in 1988, Uzbekistan was the world’s largest exporter of cotton.”

‘Between this and Brexit we’re f***ed’: BBC microphone gaffe as journalist accidentally shares his thoughts on anti-Corbyn MPs’ press conference live on air

The BBC has been forced to apologise after it accidentally broadcast a journalist telling a colleague, ‘we’re f****d’ live on air today.

The gaffe came as the BBC News channel broadcast live footage of seven Labour MPs dramatically resigning from the party to create a new Independent Group.

But in an impromptu commentary, a member of the audience can be heard saying: ‘Between this and Brexit, we are actually f****d. The Conservatives are going to win.’

It remains unclear whether the man who could be heard over the BBC feed works for the corporation or was representing another media organisation.

He could be heard giving his sombre outlook after Chuka Umunna addressed the audience at the press conference at London’s County Hall.

Pretty clear it was a BBC employee and it is more shocking evidence of how the corporation view themselves, when they refer to Labour as “us”.

  25. Doublethinker says:

Time is getting short for the Remainers , both overt and covert , to come up with a formula for stopping or neutering Brexit whilst being able to claim that it is entirely democratic to do so. It seems increasingly likely that the HoC will just vote for the PMs Brino deal and utilise all of the MSM to try and persuade us that it was ‘ the best possible deal’ and that it does deliver Brexit and is therefore democratic.
But millions of Leavers won’t be fooled by that charade and will feel , quite rightly, that our democracy has been so corrupted that it is no longer possible to claim that we live in one. So what do these millions do then?
Some Remainers think that magically after this great betrayal the status quo anti will rapidly be reinstated and everything will carry on as before. In a way this is what happened in Denmark, Eire and France when referenda results were ignored. Will that be the case here? I’m sure that is what the Remainer elite expect to happen. But I also think that they will have a contingency plan for handling protests should they occur. After all they have forced us to accept multi cults invasion and used the law to enforce their mad schemes. Suppression Leavers may be just around the corner in the UK.

Double, Peter Kyle, MP for Hove was on TOADY this a.m. and suggested a different sort of Peoples Vote, one that will not endear him to many in his Party, the Labour Party.

He was honest. He revealed himself to be a Remainer from the outset. Many do not and the BBC (on Radio4) let them get away with it. He didn’t propose the specific questions but he did not want a ‘second referendum’ but a Peoples Vote between the PM’s deal, if and when amended, and No Deal.

I applaud his straightforwardness and honesty although I personally think the time for voting on the EU is over. The people decided in June 2016 and Parliament (thanks to Miller & Others) had their final say on 15 January 2019.

I don’t think the Parliamentary arithmetic is there yet for the rejected deal. EU bigwigs have said they are not going to shift their position. It would take some fudge from the Eurocrats to give Parliament anything to vote on that will not be rejected by the Labour, Tory & DUP Brexiteers.

Begum family lawyer has accused Theresa May of ‘having Nazi blood’, said no Muslim should co-operate with police and blamed the security services for ‘creating’ Lee Rigby’s killer

The lawyer representing jihadi bride Shamima Begum has previously blamed British authorities for ‘creating’ Lee Rigby’s killer, suggested Theresa May has ‘Nazi blood’ for trying to root out extremists and urged Muslims not to cooperate with police.

Madeley branded the lawyer’s comments ‘foolish’, saying his war veteran grandfather found it very difficult to talk about what he went through.

It came after Mr Akunjee claimed Nazi war criminals were given a fairer hearing than Begum, and blamed her local council, the police and even her school for letting her go to Syria in the first place.

Jeff – bang on – I was astonished – and shouldn’t be by now but they spent 7 minutes on a regional story and then 6 minutes on the character of the official opposition party being anti Semitic and racist – according to its own MPs . One might think that the BBC is anti Semitic .

The BBC will be desperate to get the story buried as it harms the political party they love .

I wanted to hear what Jewish group thought of today’s events as well as the views of other politicians and was thinking what sort of reaction the BBC give to a comparatively minor issue – such as TR .

I’ve gone back to watching a box set .

Astounding how the BBC gets away with it day after day, month after month, year after year, lie after lie.

We have the BBC telling us that Nissan decided to build its X-Trail in Japan because of Brexit…here today the BBC repeats this lie….‘Rival Japanese carmaker Nissan also cited Brexit as one reason for cancelling plans to build its X-Trail SUV in Sunderland earlier this month.’. Note none of the real reasons are mentioned and never mind that Nissan did not say Brexit was the reason for the decision…the comment about Brexit was tagged on the end of the press release and there was no specific link to this decision and definitely did not say this was the main reason for the decision as so many BBC presenters have been saying.

Today we also have another little lie about the closure of the Honda plant in Swindon….

‘But according to Sky, Brexit is understood to be one factor in the decision, with the carmaker concerned about the imposition of new tariffs after the UK leaves the EU. ‘

What? ‘According to Sky….’…no, Sky never said an such thing, Brexit might be a marginal influence was what they actually said and in no way emphasised it in isolation giving it a prominence it doesn’t deserve as the BBC do…Sky said there would be speculation Brexit was a reason but nothing had been said yet…especially as Honda had made no comment yet….this comment does not blame Brexit but merely says others will make that link….

‘While factors other than Brexit are said to have contributed to Honda’s decision, the timing of its announcement is likely to be viewed as an incendiary development with a no-deal Brexit potentially just under six weeks away.’

Then there’s this other Sky comment…

‘It is tempting, when one reads stories such as the one broken by my colleague Mark Kleinman today about Honda shutting down its Swindon factory, to leap to conclusions.

Within minutes of the story going live, commentators on Twitter were saying this was yet another consequence of Brexit.

But while Brexit is hardly helping (we’ll get to that in a second) it is worth in this case being a little cautious about putting it all down to Britain’s decision to leave the European Union.

For one thing, we have yet to have a formal statement from Honda, so let’s reserve our final judgement for a day or two.

In the meantime, let’s also bear in mind a few other important factors.

The first is that Brexit is hardly the only thing happening in the motor industry at present. Indeed, if anything it’s a good few places down the list of major issues and concerns facing multinational motor companies.

There are the problems faced across the industry with diesel engines.

There’s the shift to electric powertrains.

There’s the threat of a global trade war as Donald Trump considers imposing tariffs on car imports.

[…]only a few months ago Japan and the EU signed their free trade deal, meaning tariffs on car exports from Japan are now being eliminated, alongside a host of other trade barriers.

Suddenly, the economic barriers that might once have persuaded you to locate your plant in the UK have evaporated.

Then there’s Brexit. And there’s no doubt that for car companies the threat of a no-deal Brexit is of deep concern….[however] In the case of Honda, the likelihood is that, of all these factors, the new Japan-EU trade deal was the most decisive.

Brexit is unlikely to have helped at the margin: no manager wants unnecessary risk, and Brexit poses all sorts of risks about access to international markets. So perhaps it contributed a bit, but was it the decisive tipping point? Unlikely.

So no Sky did not say Brexit was understood to be one of the reasons….they said it may have been…but it may have been a marginal reason at best….why is the BBC emphasising Brexit so much as if it was the main reason?

BBC continually misleading its audience with lies about Brexit. Brexit may certainly have had an impact but in both these cases it was not the main factor…maybe the threat of a Corbyn government is also in manufacturers’ minds….you’d have thought so….not so long ago a report came out that stated Corbyn was seen by Business as more of a threat to them than Brexit…and yet the BBC doesn’t go there.

    From the Guardian…

Corbyn becoming PM is ‘worse threat to business than Brexit’, says bank

‘The prospect of Jeremy Corbyn becoming prime minister is a more serious threat to British business than Brexit, the investment bank Morgan Stanley has warned.

Morgan Stanley told investors that another general election towards the end of 2018 was likely once Theresa May’s government realised it could not secure the Brexit deal it wants and the Conservative party began to fall apart, opening the door to Labour taking power.’

Count your blessings Pug, that you don’t enjoy the benefit of your local news coming through the likes of David Garmston – who bases his delivery on the Jon Snow model of impartiality.
Standing outside the factory gate at Swindon, Garmston ensured his message was reinforced by yet another ‘professor’ this time from Bath Uni, whose first, balanced and informed statement was to blame Brexit, unequivocally.
The idea of getting an informed opinion from someone in the car industry, aware of world car manufacturing trends, the effects of climate change propaganda on sales together with the massive hits on diesel car sales through largely unsubstantiated but feverishly promoted figures – which conveniently ignore the influences of aircraft, lorries, trains and ships – might have given the wrong message, so a dealer in graphs and prejudice was the obvious choice.

A story on the BBC website about the Israel-Poland row about the Holocaust. It strikes me that neither Israel nor Poland wants to admit the truth and the BBC is confused because it doesn’t really like either government. The truth is that in any population under occupation, three types emerge: Most people just want to keep their heads down and hope to survive as best they can. Then there are always a few brave heroes. But there are also always a few evil collaborators, no matter which people we are talking about. It’s human nature. Poland does not want to face the fact that some Poles collaborated with the Nazis and Israel certainly can’t bear the idea of Jews doing the same, even though both these things happened. But I know from the stories that I have heard from the Polish community here in Britain that ordinary Polish families risked their lives to save Jews. I admire both Poland and Israel, so to see them squabbling like this fills me with dismay. By the way, a Pole told me that the people they hated most in WW2 were Ukrainians. The Germans would put a bullet in the back of your head but the Ukrainians would sadistically torture you before killing you. This was the subject of a recent Polish film called Hatred – Murder of the Innocent.

The Germans have always enjoyed a reputation for efficiency, but without the enthusiastic co-operation of most of the European occupied countries involved, the location, assessment, access and transportation of their Jewish populations would not have been so easily achieved. Unpalatable perhaps, but true.
It is also true that a very high proportion of camp guards were Ukrainians along with Latvians and Lithuanians. Contrary to popular belief, the SS did not use front-line troops to run camps.

      • PeterT says:

Even some French and Dutch assisted the Germans to round up Jews and transport them to camps. I think there was some, but little, co-operation with the Germans in Norway. The resistance and others in these countries helped many Jews to escape – certainly the Danish-Jewish population was small, around 10,000 but the vast majority were helped by the Danish people to escape to the UK and Sweden. Quite remarkable. The majority of people in these countries did as little as possible to assist the Germans but when a nation is invaded there are always some who will assist them, unfortunately, even in Britain if we had been invaded. The harsh words between Poland and Israel I think are because of a misunderstanding and words might have been chosen more carefully.

      Zelazek,

It puzzles me that the BBC is generally fair and accurate in it’s reporting on the Holocaust while demonstrating implacable, grinding and unthinking bias against Israel.

Apparently Jewish victims of the Nazis are worthy of honest, even sympathetic reporting while Jewish-Israeli victims of neonazis Hamas, Fatah and Hezbollah are not.

Could be that the BBC is so pickled in it’s far- left ideology that it cannot but see Israel as the oppressor of the poor, innocent Palestinians.

There are several damning photos on the Net of Hamas and Hezbollah doing the Nazi salute. I doubt the BBC would dare look at them.

Certainly the BBC political reporters are of one mind when it comes to Israel (and not only Israel of course).

There are very rare exceptions to this rule, as when Panorama (I think it was) took a balanced look at the Mavi Marmara incident back in 2010.

Yolande Knell, Orla Guerin, Paul Adams, Kevin Connolly, Jeremy Bowen, Rupert Wingfield-Hayes, Lyse Doucet and many others all sing from the same hymn sheet on Israel.

And of course there was Alan Johnston, thankfully now no longer reporting from his snug post, embedded as he was for years with Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

      • Zelazek says:

TrueToo – I think you’re right. They look at the Middle East through an ideological lens and misread events. Perhaps their biggest mistake is to think that the absence of a Palestinian state is the fundamental cause of every problem in the Arab world and the justification for every sort of Muslim atrocity. As well as that, because they continually ignore the Arabs’ stated aim of the annihilation of Israel, they don’t understand when Israel takes sensible measures that ensure its security and survival.

          Zelazek, agreed.

Re the Arabs’ stated aim of the annihilation of Israel, several years back I Googled around to try to find BBC acknowledgement of that indisputable fact. It was quite amusing seeing the BBC approach the dreaded subject on eggshells on a rare occasion or two and then shrink back in fear of accurately reporting what is in the Hamas charter and shared by much of the Arab and broader Muslim world.

You can usually rely on Brendan O’Neill for a common sense opinion but I don’t really find his view satisfactory. Neither is that of Savid Javid – although it has to better than the lily-livered ‘return and rehabilitate’ attitude of our snowflake politicians and media. O’Neill is right in one respect though. We should go and get these people.
The missing link is what we should be able to do with them once we have brought them back. Javid is wrong to simply do ‘’everything we can” to disown them. They have committed what we hung ‘Lord Haw Haw’ for (not, not that one): Treason.

‘On 8 August 2005, it was reported that the UK Government was considering bringing prosecutions for treason against a number of British Islamic clerics who have publicly spoken positively about acts of terrorism against civilians in Britain, or attacks on British soldiers abroad, including the 7 July London bombings and numerous attacks on troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.[63] Following this threat one foreign cleric who the British government had failed to deport fled to Lebanon, only to request to be rescued by the British military during the 2006 Israeli-Lebanon War. However, later that year prosecutors indicted Abu Hamza al-Masri for inciting murder (he was convicted in February 2006), and it now seems unlikely that anyone will be charged with treason in the foreseeable future.’ Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_treason_in_the_United_Kingdom

If our useless MPs were more reliable and not busy indulging in their own version of treason thwarting Brexit, they would rally round and do what was required to put a modern treason law back on the stature books pronto. Then we would not only have a good motive to go and fetch young Ms. Begum, but we could make a special point of bringing her back and locking her up for life. The judge would remark that it was appropriate to make an example of her to dissuade her ilk from trying the same treasonous stunt.

      Oh well. . .

The end point of your argument is that if 99 “right wing extremists” succeed in murdering one person each and one “Islamist” succeeds in murdering 100 people – then ““Islamists” are the greatest threat.

One “Islamist” – 99 “Right Wing Extremists”.

Personally, I don’t actually care; they are all murderous bastards.

Attempting to “pick a side” [re: was Stalin worse than Hitler? right wing worse than left wing? Blacks worse than Whites? et al] is completely vacuous.

It’s not a contest. There are no ‘winners’. There’s no patting your self on the back because “your side” has murdered less people than “the other side”.

But that is all you and your your fellow travellers on BiasedBBC are interested in; “us and them” and “aren’t we great…“.

You seem to have a bit of a bee in your bonnet that Stewart does not want to look at other men’s penises. Why is that? Isn’t he allowed personal choice in the matter?

Maybe you have a large collection of books of penises. Any you care to recommend?

A closer look at d ADL data will show the truth: aread the smallprint:
“Note: Total deaths include both ideologically and non-ideologically motivated killings.”

In other ADL propoganda, their treatment of “incidents” for example makes one wonder how they classify extremist murders, although likely to be less islamic ones in the US where police will not be pandering to their whims EG Finsbury Park,

incidents are classified as, for example

“an alt right group, distributed flyers at California State University in San Marcos”.

“an alt right group, distributed stickers featuring their group logo.”

If that is the classification for incidents I would strongly suggest there are islamic terrorist incidents taking place everyday in Bury Park Road Luton where they have been shit stirring in Syria through handing out flyers and having collections for years and years and, most likely around the country but generally within their ghettos so hidden well away

Data would look rather interesting if islamists in the UK for example at the Finsbury Park mosque were held to account for the literature they have been distributing since 2008

I admire your fortitude in going to look at the data, because Maxi didn’t put it there to inform but to deflect.

It quite obviously doesn’t pass the “sniff test” and if MSM journalists employed that simple technique they might avoid reporting so much fake news. But they don’t, because they’re too desperate for it to be true to apply their critical faculties.

ADL is a joke about 98% of their so called incidents are people handing out leaflets. When you start scrolling through the thousands of incidents and you come across the odd one where someone got killed or in some cases nobody even got attacked you soon realise that the number of bad incidents are nothing to do with right wing political ideology. When you consider the millions of people murdered by national socialists, communists and islamics this data is quite comical. Here are a few of the bad ones before i gave up scrolling:

And talking of fake news hoaxes, here’s one from across the pond

    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-02-17/pelosi-quietly-deletes-tweet-slamming-racist-homophobic-attack-jussie-smoleett

‘As the Jussie Smollett “attack” is looking more and more like a class-4 felony hoax, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) quietly deleted a tweet sympathetic to the Empire actor who claimed that he was assaulted, in what Pelosi uncritically described as a “racist, homophobic attack.” It had over 100,000 “likes” and 21,000 retweets.

Pelosi is just one snowflake in an avalanche of liberals who accepted Smollett’s bizarre story without so much as questioning the logic behind two Trump supporters, who watch Empire, out at 2 a.m. in a wealthy Chicago enclave, who not only recognized Smollett – but knew he was gay, and happened to be packing a bleach-like substance and a noose (in “MAGA Country).

The Speaker of the House wasn’t alone in her uncritical support of Smollett – who faces up to three years in prison if charged and found guilty of filing a false police report’.

    Jon Sopel’s latest Tweety thing…

“Might take day off from reporting ⁦@realDonaldTrump⁩ and just spend the day taking photos of fab trees in autumn”

Odd then that the brilliant journalist, driven by the search for truth and accuracy, Nick Robinson, absolutely stated this morning that Trump was guilty of colluding with the Russians. Hadn’t realised Mueller had spoken.

The same Nick Robinson who wheeled in a Democrat politician to comment on Trump and the EU…and then chortled about ‘chlorinated chicken and hormone injected beef’ being imported here #duetobrexit.

The same Nick Robinson who conducted an utterly hopeless and uninformative interview with hardline Remain MP Peter Kyle who has come up with a wizard wheeze which will ‘solve’ the Brexit impasse…a compromise. Nick Robinson suggested he would be ‘guilty of being an enabler of Brexit’ for doing so. No bias there then.

But what exactly was this deal? We didn’t really get the full story, the full implications.

This is a proposal from two Remain Labour MPs [or will that be the two remaining Labour MPs?] who claim theirs is the only way forward and it involves, of course, a ‘People’s vote’.

I listened hard, maybe not hard enough, but I didn’t hear what alternatives were to be voted on and what happens if the vote is against the deal.

Turns out, having looked up this breakthrough, new way forward, that it is the same old Remain plot to stop Brexit…no compromise at all, in fact a deliberate and carefully engineered plot to ensure Brexit doesn’t happen.

    So how does it work?

First, to break the deadlock in Parliament which refuses to back the deal now, er….that same Parliament gets to vote on the deal. Once Parliament has backed the deal then The People get to vote…and the choice? Accept the deal [as agreed by the Remain voting Houses] or stay in the EU. So in or out and out is most likely on the softest terms….essentially staying in the EU.

The two are trying to pull the wool over our eyes and think we are stupid. The only question should be ‘Does any deal fulfill what was promised, as closely as possible, during the referendum?’…if not the next move is to renegotiate or say ‘no deal’. Indeed these two actually state this in their statement before twisting things completely so that they can ignore it….

‘The result of the 2016 EU referendum set parliament a challenge. How to translate the answer to the question asked into a workable Brexit? Will the Brexit devised since then match the promises made? The question remains, however: is it what was promised?’

Clearly a challenge parliament dodged as they manoeuvered to stop Brexit. Instead of asking does it fulfill the promises made they vote in order to impose their own agenda regardless of the outcome of the referendum.

There should be no choice of staying in the EU in any further vote should one be forced upon us. The choice should be this deal, a renegotiated deal or a no deal.

Kyle says…‘The British people may believe Theresa May’s deal is the way forward. They may not. But they need to be asked and we are willing to compromise to find out their answer.’

So just where is the compromise exactly?

And haven’t they been asked already!

Enviro : FFS has Harra got his intern doing the cuttingNpasting today
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-47273778#comment_133762431
    Has HYS open comments
Teachers you can take the article into school and have them deconstruct it

Title : \\ Stores accused of ‘watering down’ bottle deposit scheme//
Line #2 : \\ Large retailers have been accused of trying to water down a proposed scheme to improve rates of bottle recycling. //
.. Right kids WHO accused ?

line #3 : \\ Environmentalists say large and small drinks containers alike should carry a catch-all deposit of more than 15p.//

    Environmentalists say ?
Remember journos are usually cutNpasting from NGO material
Look who the article quotes near the end , cos that is usually the source of the Public Relations the journo is cutNpasting
We see deep down it says
\\ Samantha Harding from the group Campaign to Protect Rural England says //

There you go that is the WHO , The environmentalists WHO accused are “Campaign to Protect Rural England”

\\ The consumer drinks the product, then posts the empty bottle into a *machine* which produces a coupon to return the deposit.//
… so the project needs machine
Kids do you think that some corp makes a profit from these machines ?
Do you think the corp that makes the machines , has a relationship with an NGO
… Which NGO do you think they have a relationship with ?

\\ This has led to recycling rates of 97% – whereas in the UK 50%//
OK advanced kids ..what is the fallacy here ?
Are you comparing 2 similar situations ?
No so it is the fallacy of comparing APPLES vs ORANGES
The UK is trying to keep litter off the streets and collect plastic and deal with it economically eg by sending it to EU high temperature incinerators
vs Norway which has gone crazy and thrown vast amount of money ..just to say “look at us we are cool we recycle”

\\Why do *green activists* insist big and small bottles are targeted?
    *Environmentalists* are angry //
FFS Harra : for *green activists* *Environmentalists* just say CPRE

\\”Our countryside, rivers and oceans are choked with plastic”//
Is that true ? Of course not
So what PR trick is that ?
      Yes dramaqueening or Drama Greening

Now normally after cutNpating Harra will ring around his Green NGO pals for an alarmist quote
      ..Who do you spot ?
Yes , “Greenpeace and “the think tank Green Alliance”

How many no-green sources does Harra use to balanace them ?
      ..ONE

      The end
\\ One very intriguing suggestion appears from the latest papers, for instance. //
Note how that sentence ends without adding the suggestion as if Harra rushed or edited it out

\\ The government thinks a well-managed recycling and resources policy can actually make money, rather than costing it.//
Magical Thinking is a characteristic of green articles
In the real world you can’t get more money out than the consumer paid in the first place,
but corps can make money from reprocessinng
The best the consumer can expect is that a waste material has the same value to a corp as it costs them to process
eg aluminium cans at a pop festival. (I’ve worked on this)

Note Harra doesn’t fish for negatives against green things
You have to look in the commenst (try the lowest rated)

“PM” programme on R4, there was an item about “fake news” minute 41
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0002lv5

After playing a video supporting the fact that the earth was flat, as an example, there was a discussion

Evan Davis “we know that the earth is round, that one is pretty clear, but most of the time knowledge is a bit fuzzy.
Even on climate change, it’s only sort of 99.9% certain, it’s not 100% certain.

(fallacy of Misrepresentation cos CC has various definitions
    eg that Climate varies naturally
or that “OMG theere is CO2 Catastrophe and we’ll all be dead next week”
    or X, Y, Z )

This implied that not believing in (CATASTROPHIC) “climate change” (THEORY) was almost as stupid as believing the earth was flat.

He highlighted several business / global market reasons but again she said the union’s are saying it’s down to brexit and the Prime minister’s inability to get a deal. Pushing and pushing him to blame brexit as the main driver.

If it’s down solely to brexit, why are they not intending to close til 2022 ??.

Yesterday they interviewed a worker who said that’s him now jobless …. Interviewer loved that dramatic soundbite as he had kids , a wife ..very dramatic indeed !!! But, he has got another 3 years (it’s not closing tomorrow), but never mind facts hey. It’s nasty brexit taking the food from his children’s mouths !!!!
