Saturday afternoon and it is dark and dismal outside. I thought I couldn’t be bothered to read a book and thought I would watch a bit of tv. BBC2, Back In Time For School. Less than 5 minutes and I was hearing how the teacher was writing about ‘savages’ on the blackboard and how upset the non white, or partially white children were. I walked away for 10 minutes. I returned to hear the teacher say it was dreadful for the children to have to salute a flag and stand for the national anthem. I switched off and moved onto the iPad to read this site. I will then go and read my book.
The BBC could have chosen all sorts for the Edwardian children to have learned in school but the programme obviously gave opportunity for present day political point scoring as usual.

I saw some of this earlier in the week. Children and teachers wearing caps and hats in school, really!
Girls worrying that by not doing science they wouldn’t have been able to take up the non-existing Edwardian jobs in science.
One suffragette takes classes in Ju-Jitsu, one, so our school has a class too. Always the exception on the BBC.
The most worrying thing about the programme wasn’t so much what they were being taught but how much the teachers showed ‘snowflake’ tendencies – children being taught by children.
At the end everyone received a prize, so BBC!

I do not use the treasonous BBC, I will not create an account.
    But I noticed a trend.
    “Using the BBC”
1 “Why we’re asking you to sign in”
2 “How we keep your data safe”
3 “Giving you more of what you love”
    4 “You’re in charge”
    5 “Keeping kids safe”
6 “Will you share my data with TV Licensing?”
    7 “Want to know more?”
8 “Creating & Using Your Account.”

#1 Showing tablet held in two white hands.
Thereafter showing black hands all the way.
Thank you BBC for confirming your racism, yet again.

      Last
The next step for the bbc is to use the TV licence number as a username for their sites . I do wonder , though, if they have worked out what the effect could if the iPlayer takes a kicking from netflixers not using inferior BBC output like Dr Who and other ridiculously multicultural period dramas .

The BBC regularly hides behind the iPlayer to say that viewing figures ‘arnt that bad’ because they don’t take into account iPlayer usage – without that they’d ( hopefully ) be screwed .

I remember some plan to introduce the TV licence number security this year but it could be – because of what I have explained above – it won’t happen .

    Spot the difference.

Thomas Mair who murdered Jo Cox wasn’t detained under the Mental Health Act despite having known mental health issues.

Contrast the recent attack in Manchester….

‘A terror suspect arrested over a “frenzied” knife attack on three people in Manchester has been detained under mental health laws.’

    Note this…..

‘Mr Jackson had said that “given how frenzied the attack was” officers had been considering the state of the suspect’s mental health. “There is wide reporting in the press about what the attacker allegedly said during the incident and because of this we want to be clear, we are treating this as a terrorism investigation,” he said.’

So “Given how frenzied the attack was” the police decided there must be mental health issues. You wonder if they would still be treating this as a terrorist incident if the papers hadn’t reported the killer shouting Islamic slogans….and is dismissing this as a ‘mental health’ issue a way of avoiding the issue of Islam and Jihadi behaviour.

And contrast that with this recent attack on a train….

‘Relatives have paid tribute to “devoted family man” Lee Pomeroy, 51, who was stabbed to death on a train in Surrey.
A man, aged 35, was arrested on suspicion of murder and a 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Det Ch Insp Sam Blackburn from British Transport Police, said: “This is a fast moving investigation.

“Nothing justified the extraordinary violence that followed and we are concentrating our efforts on the on-going investigation.”
Assistant Chief Constable Sean O’Callaghan told BBC Breakfast the two men had moved through a carriage having a discussion for a few minutes before the “unprovoked violent attack” which saw Mr Pomeroy stabbed multiple times.’

So an unprovoked attack using ‘extraordinary violence’ and in this case the police do not deal with this as a mental health issue. Presumably stabbing someone multiple times unprovoked is perfectly rational whereas stabbing many people for political/religious reasons is completely without reason.

It does seem the police/government/BBC want the first big headlines to be filled with claims that Muslim terrorists were mentally ill….if later that turns out not to be the case it doesn’t matter, the narrative has been pushed into the Public’s mind….that ‘Muslim’ terrorism isn’t ‘Muslim’ it’s due to mental illness. Don’t blame ‘Muslims’.

    Curious timing.

The BBC reports a massive data leak in Germany…the victims are politicians and political activists….the BBC reports that the only party not to suffer any leaks was the ‘Far Right’ AFD….clearly linking the AFD or its supporters to the attack.

    However Breitbart reports a qualification…

‘While the populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) was notably absent in the hack, authorities say there may be AfD member data in the leaks since due to their large size, not all of the data has been fully examined.’

Why wouldn’t the BBC add that to their report? You may ask if the German government has in fact found AFD data in the leak and decided not to admit this just yet in order to get exactly the kind of negative anti-AFD press that has in fact arisen.

Consider the timing….the data leaks had been going on for some time…so why was it only ‘noticed’ on Friday?

Coincidence that the AFD had released its party manifesto on Thursday night? Any chance the German government timed the news of the data leak to undermine the AFD and its manifesto?

‘Germany’s AfD party has raised the prospect of ‘Dexit’, saying it will back withdrawal from the EU if Brussels does not combat the ‘Islamisation’ of the continent.

A party manifesto released ahead of the European Parliament elections in May said Islam was a ‘danger to Europe’.

The AfD, which has risen to prominence in the wake of the migrant influx into Germany, said the EU had become ‘undemocratic’ and ‘occupied by the political class.’

Dexit would be a ‘last resort’ but the party would support it if its demands for reform are not met in the next five years, the document said. ‘

Note also that the AFD has been under constant violent attack…and that a bomb went off at one of its offices on Thursday night…did the BBC report that? No.

Explosion outside AfD office in eastern Germany

Funny how the bombing of a Party office and other violent attacks on the AFD go unreported by the BBC but the leaking of some fairly trivial data is treated as a democratic crisis…and the blame put on the ‘Far Right’ and Russia.

I imagine if it had been a German ‘Jo Cox’s’ office it would have made the BBC headlines.

‘UK Manufacturing PMI Hits 6-Month High on Brexit Boost

Interesting that the PMI figures for both services and manufacturing have gone up in December despite total political chaos and a deliberate attempt by Remainers to destabilise the British economy and May’s no-deal project fear mongering on a grandly ridiculous scale.

Interesting of course that the BBC has totally ignored the PMI figures…when they go down they make every bulletin with news that a ‘recession’ is just around the corner…oddly whenever they go up the BBC tends to ignore or downplay them.

What’s also interesting is that the EU is doing worse than the UK….but again reports ignore that…here’s what the PMI indicates for the EU….

‘Slowest growth in over four years during December’

Odd how any British slowdown is because of Brexit but the EU and world economy floundering is completely separate.

Look at Reuter’s reports on the British position…misreporting wildly the positive PMI figures….#duetobrexit…

‘Brexit worries slow UK growth to near standstill
A closely watched business survey indicated firms were growing more anxious, while figures from the Bank of England and mortgage lender Nationwide painted a picture of households reining in spending. ‘

Er…the PMI rose, and was far above expectations…in what way did these figures indicate businesses growing more anxious?

Shock slide in UK services PMI points to stalling economy’
Uncertainty about the terms of Brexit next March clobbered British services firms last month, leaving the economy at risk of contracting, a survey showed on Wednesday.

That’s a blatant lie…the services PMI slowed but still rose up.

Look at this quite extraordinary and ill-judged attack on Trump by a BBC journalist…one who clearly has not watched the video he is so cleverly commenting on….

‘President Trump’s remarks at his cabinet meeting this week offered a bizarre glimpse into his perception of the world.

This is a president who, for all his bombastic self-promotion, is feeling the pressure.

His response was to provide an extended riff on his presidency and his achievements. But almost everything he said was questionable or, to put it bluntly, down-right wrong.

The Washington Post newspaper described it as “a 95-minute stream-of-consciousness..…..filled with falsehoods, revisionist history and self-aggrandizement”.’

Trump was not talking off the top of his head, he clearly had notes he was reading and later he was not rambling on in some ‘stream of consciousness’ as the BBC claims but was in fact answering a series of questions from journalists.

It’s a very bizarre and false picture of Trump’s statements being painted by the BBC here….yes he got one thing wrong…Russia did not invade Afghanistan because Jihadis were attacking Russia…but they were attacking Russian interests on their border. However the rest of what he says is rational and targeted, if in the usual Trumpian style.

Here’s two videos of the meeting so you can judge for yourself….is everything Trump says ‘questionable or to put it bluntly wrong’?……

Kind of think it is the BBC journalist who is guilty of producing a ‘stream-of-consciousness..…..filled with falsehoods, revisionist history and self-aggrandizement’ not Trump.

        Up2,
The Mayor and the rest of our liberal politicians are in deep trouble about the knife crime epidemic iamongst black youths and about the Muslim rape gangs . These two examples demonstrate that the diversity they have created against the wishes of the people has massive downsides. But if the politicians try to crack down then they will have to admit what is obvious to all of us and has been for decades, importing third worlders into our country was a massive error that will damage our society probably for ever. No doubt there will be a concerted effort to cover up or distort this obvious truth. Statistics will be manipulated, lies will be told , news of even more murders and rapes will be suppressed, anyone voicing concerns will be denounced and punished. Soon the black youths will realise that the authorities are scared of tackling them at any level and that they can act with impunity like the Muslim rape gangs. Our society is fracturing and the future looks bleak all thanks to dumb liberals.

Double, yes – at the moment it is apparently within one or two ethnic groupings. I have posted before that I have an uncomfortable feeling that the Met are allowing this as a form of revenge ‘cull’. The Mayor seems to be constantly trying to pretend that the Conservative Government is causing it by under-funding the Met. The BBC are neither sharp enough or honest enough to pick him up on the fact that funding for the Police in London – as for the London Fire Brigade – is a devolved responsibility to his office.

When the Labour Govt chose to throw open the doors of the UK to the EU, especially the new Eastern bloc members, I feared trouble between the more ‘reactionary’ young Poles and East Germans who might come here and our already native BAME residents together with any newer BAME incomers. Was thankful that did not come to pass.

“Statistics will be manipulated, lies will be told , news of even more murders and rapes will be suppressed, anyone voicing concerns will be denounced and punished. Soon the black youths will realise that the authorities are scared of tackling them at any level and that they can act with impunity like the Muslim rape gangs. Our society is fracturing and the future looks bleak all thanks to dumb liberals.” Yes. That has happened before. Remember the riots after the shooting of Mark Duggan?

Before the riots started, I remember a Tottenham resident saying on R4 through her tears, in effect: “Our children are being slain on a daily basis but the Police and other authorities are doing nothing to protect us.”

However, looking at the mugshots in vlad’s post another horrible thought struck me today. There were kids like that in my Youth Group many years ago.

Those faces could almost have been their children or grandchildren. I hope they were not.

If I remember correctly, the BBC has been asked by the government not to use the expression ‘Islamic State’ in articles to avoid the interpretation that it has legitimacy. Yet here it is headlining an article oozing with the usual stuff: A couple of thinly veiled digs at Trump and a suggestion that the British forces are ‘distancing’ themselves from him. Opinionated and subversive as ever.

A note on terminology: The BBC uses the term migrant to refer to all people on the move who have yet to complete the legal process of claiming asylum. This group includes people fleeing war-torn countries, who are likely to be granted refugee status, as well as people who are seeking jobs and better lives, who governments are likely to rule are economic migrants.

      That’s all OK then.

        theisland,

The bBBC’s definition of migrant is possibly at odds with that of Amnesty International’s –
        //
        Who is a migrant?
There is no internationally accepted legal definition of a migrant. Like most agencies and organizations, we at Amnesty International understand migrants to be people staying outside their country of origin, who are NOT asylum-seekers OR refugees.//

If my understanding is correct then the bBBC are dishonestly representing the opinion of a prominent activist organisation.

Amnesty go on to define who are refugees and asylum-seekers –

        //
        Who is a refugee?
A refugee is a person who has fled their own country because they are at risk of serious human rights violations and persecution there. The risks to their safety and life were so great that they felt they had no choice but to leave and seek safety outside their country because their own government cannot or will not protect them from those dangers. Refugees have a right to international protection.

        Who is an asylum-seeker?
An asylum-seeker is a person who has left their country and is seeking protection from persecution and serious human rights violations in another country, but who hasn’t yet been legally recognized as a refugee and is waiting to receive a decision on their asylum claim. Seeking asylum is a human right. This means everyone should be allowed to enter another country to seek asylum.//

It didn’t sound like much of a story but it was nearby and he thought the local rag might take it so he went out and found the bloke. It turned out that the a drunk had nibbled the victim’s ear for a laugh while they were queuing in the chip shop. Blood had been drawn, but the ear when examined appeared virtually undamaged. My friend put it to the bloke that it wasn’t much of a story, but that they could maybe make something of it. The journo went off and bought some bandages and bandaged up the bloke’s head, then took some pictures. The story got into the local rag as MAN LOSES EAR IN CHIP SHOP ATTACK.

I had a little chuckle watching The Marr Show this morning. He was interviewing the two actresses starring in the film about Queen Elizabeth and Mary Queen of Scots. Of course, if real life, the two women never actually met, but film makers have always taken liberties and ignored this rather irritating fact. It’s been done a few times.
However, what rather startled me, though in these ludicrously PC times it shouldn’t have, was a member of Elizabeth’s coterie being a black bloke! Nowadays this happens more and more.
I’ve seen William the Conqueror’s main lieutenant also depicted as a black chap. According to the BBC this geezer was responsible for the success of the Norman invasion. Utter nonsense.
I’ve seen one off our mythological icons, Friar Tuck, alter from being a podgy white bloke into a six foot four West Indian. Why?
In the present film I didn’t deduce who this fellow was supposed to be portraying; Sir Walter Raleigh? Francis Drake? Walsingham?
I’ve seen “people of colour” shoe horned inappropriately and clumsily into period dramas; Dickens, Thackery and now Les Miserables.
Isn’t this, apart from its clear historical illiteracy, the worst sort of cultural appropriation.

Islamophobic Priest with 85m followers ignored.

    Complaint description

Dear Winston Smith working for the BBC whose wages are paid under threat of prosecution to the general public,

I did not see any major coverage of a Priest who criticised Islam saying it was not compatible with Western laws. This man is of a religion that has 85 million people in more than 165 countries which would mean it’s a big story.

“ISLAMIC rules are incompatible with British laws which have developed over 500 years and sharia law should never become part of the British legal system, the Archbishop of Canterbury (Justin Welby) has declared.” 24feb2018 https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/923309/islam-archbishop-of-canterbury-christianity-britain-uk-sharia-law

This is quite a worrying statement because we have many people who believe in Islam in positions of power … to hear their defence of Islam would be in the interests of unbiased reporting.
Maybe Justin Welby should be interviewed with the following to see if this argument carries any weight.

Justin Welby debates Home Office, UK Security … Islamist …. Sajid Javid.
Justin Welby debates London Mayor, UK Prosperity … Islamist … Sadiq Khan.
Justin Welby debates CEO of Bernados, UK Children … Islamist .. Javed Khan.
Justin Welby debates Prime Minister’s Special Envoy on Freedom of Religion or Belief … Islamist … Lord Ahmed.
Justin Welby debates BBC religion and ethics commissioning … Islamist … Fatima Salaria

This could also be followed up with why the Government is looking at “Applying sharia law in England and Wales: independent review (by Professor Mona Siddiqui)” https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/applying-sharia-law-in-england-and-wales-independent-review

Remember, one of your famous employees/reporters said this … “The omission is the most powerful form of lie, and it is the duty of the historian to ensure that those lies do not creep into the history books.” – George Orwell. That reporter is a statue outside your main officers in London.

They, the MSM, all of them have an agenda no alternative voice will be heard soon.

In 2018 I lost count of the number of killings in my home town – Londonistan .
Now I have to report that I have already lost count on the number of stabbings in my home borough in the first week of 2019 – there was another one Sunday lunchtime which brings my count to 3 or maybe 4 or 5….

The number of killings on New Years’ day in Londonistan was the same at 2018 – 3….

@Fedup2 “134 homicides in London recorded by the Metropolitan Police in 2018 was London’s highest homicide total since 2008. ”
+ remember medical care much better now without the total would be much higher

Chief beeboid – Andrew Marr – asked the PM today whether she saw the film “I, Danial Craig’ last night ?….. you could hear the editors screaming in his ear before he corrected himself . Quality .

Gary “Let Them All In” Lineker has just had that smug grin wiped off his irritating expensive face because his beloved Leicester City have just been knocked out of the FA Cup, live on bBBC1 by the minnows of Newport County.

I don’t hugely support any particular team, but this is indeed a glorious result. I’m just waiting to see if he blames it on Brexit.

It’s ok… Coxy’s producer has snagged budget from the pension pot so he and the crew can fly to NZ for the stargazing shot. Again.

Earlier, a fellow contributor here referred to the distinct lack of coverage by our far, far left Marxist State Broadcaster the BBC in relation to the continuing ‘Yellow-Vest’ activities in France. Earlier again, (I think perhaps last week) another contributor even suggested that Treason May’s Government had served a ‘D’ Notice to stop the press informing the public of what is actually going on in France. Enter: Dr Steve Turley – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjEWumBEsaA
It would appear that Macron’s Government is disintegrating before the publics eyes. I must confess that in the current unusual times where we have grown accustomed to egregious events becoming the norm, Dr Steve Turley is one to boost spirits. He is perhaps slightly over optimistic generally but his predictions, for me, have all transpired to be correct. If a D Notice has been served (personally I doub t this) you can underestand why Treason May would issue one. They must, in any event, be highly alarmed at EU developments and in particular in France. The more rapid they rise, the more rapid the fall. My hope long term is to see certain people swinging from lampposts. The way it is going, that hope may well materialise.
Anyway, I’ve fallen in love again. Take a look at the Amazing Polly. Isn’t she just gorgeous?

More to the point, she highlights an intersting perspective. I have to confess that, online, when I am asked questions, I only answer honestly the ones that serve my purpose. The rest? Well, for example, giving the mobile number one digit wrong isn’t a crime yet.

G, the lovely Polly may have turned your head and that of Dr Turley, as well. Don’t think the UK Govt can put a D notice on foreign events. It doesn’t make operative or legal sense.
