A pseudo anti-bbc article from Owen Bennett-Jones in LRB
“Can’t Afford to Tell the Truth”

    • Fedup2 says:

Stew – thanks – he goes on a bit but it does explain certain motivations and outcomes from this corrupt BBC-
Particularly the abolishion of World Service as a service not just another self obsessed tentacle of the latest PC fashion.

It’s good to understand the enemy within .

  2. john in cheshire says:

Has anyone else seen this report on Breitbart?

If this is true then Mrs May should be in deep trouble and looking forward to jail time. Surely, she’s guilty of sedition if she has been preventing HMRC from identifying and assessing alternatives to her so-called backstop proposals.

Is this the smoking gun that proves Mrs May is a traitor?

    • Kaiser says:

do you need any more proof john

    • Up2snuff says:

      j-i-c, careful!

It may have been a CS block on what the PM really wanted. It’s notable that a lot of flak is being directed at the PM and Westminster when it may be Whitehall that is the true culprit.

Suggest you listen to/watch some Yes, Minister episodes. Horribly realistic, it was and still is.

  3. StewGreen says:

Times @VictoriaPeckham doesn’t think gammon is a racist term
… next breath she signals shes a Remainer
    “I voted remain”
    Quelle surpris !

  4. john in cheshire says:

What about this from YouTube? The Tavistock Institute, Facebook, Nick Clegg and attacks on President Trump by our swamp here in the UK.

Unfortunately, this video is 37 minutes long and a little pedestrian but it could help explain why Mrs May has shown animosity towards President Trump and why she didn’t stop Christopher Steele from interfering in the US presidential election.

  5. Alicia Sinclair says:

Only the BBC would think that ” news” would be the airhead opinions of Roland Rudd’s sister, or the machinations of a permatanned Ponce up for war crimes, a Soros suckup and funded traitor for Turkmenistan or suchlike. Blur himself, dare not even walk from his limo to Harrods in this country. No wonder he’s safe with similar treasonous scum in Europe.
No Beeb, you lead on your ” news” with Blairudds opinions. But it’s not ” news”. It’s shit stirring gossip you doubtless solicited.

  6. StewGreen says:

Fri Times had long article about the Newcastle Islamist
    ..has the BBC ?

  7. StewGreen says:

    Fear of offending
Durham : Masked & hooded man robbed a bank ‘cos manager was worried that he had a skin condition & challenging him wld offend. Robber stood in queue with customers for 15mins wearing latex gloves, hooded jacket, mask & dark glasses & carrying Febreze & holdall.
    Telegraph (link: https://ift.tt/eA8V8J) ift.tt/eA8V8J

    • Fedup2 says:

      Stew – you’re not telling the truth are you ? I mean – a bank queue – only 15 minutes ? Nah😎

  8. StewGreen says:

BBC announces newly-created role LGBT correspondent

    • Guest Who says:

More precedents there than you can shake a stick at, especially if the best man for the job turns out to identify with one of those letters.

      Not looking good for Shuckperson.

    • Roland Deschain says:

      Has he started work early?

BBC Stories, indeed. Now how does this differ from BBC News?

    • Heyho says:

Apparently any BBC employee undergoing “gender change” will be offered paid leave, all courtesy of the TV Tax.

I really do wish we could have a referendum on the TV tax. Mind you with Daisy May in control we would end up contributing more to the bloated far left ultra liberal organisation that controls our News agenda

    • StewGreen says:

BBC do seem to churn out the LGBT stories

  9. Stevie m says:

More woman on final score every week. Leave our game alone FFS

  10. StewGreen says:

Any intelligent person would put most BBC functions away from crowded London
but know BBC opened New Broadcasting house in super central London, but kept some White City operations open
so it runs a twice hourly shuttle bus used by about 9 people each. for the 5 mile journey.
Of course London is already full of public transport so its just another pollution maker
7 year cost estimated to be £4.5m
… hmm thats £600K year say £2K/day for 385 staff journeys that’s £5 each time.

    • Guest Who says:

Rather lost most with placing ‘intelligent’ and the BBC together in the same sentence, I’d hazard.

    • StewGreen says:

oops, senior moment ..I wrote “but know”
I meant “but no, BBC opened New Broadcasting house in super central London”

  11. Celtic_Mist says:

One would think that the #BiasedBBC might catch themselves on because every time I watch or listen to their feeds, I find that they are obsessed with the far left divisive cookbook of race, gender etc.

  12. Guest Who says:

    Uh-oh; Emily likes a movie.

    • Fedup2 says:

Is maitless on the sports department of the BBC thus being allowed to express her political bias ?

Same with Esler and the many others who tweet their lefty remain lies …?

      • Guest Who says:

Emily has been answered, quite directly, on this.

        • Guest Who says:

          That is this Carole…

  13. Celtic_Mist says:

//A factual search reveals that the BBC has never failed a fact check// Yeah, its just selective in its facts…

  14. Guest Who says:

    He’s off again.

  15. Celtic_Mist says:

Can anyone explain this to me?

The very fact that Ofcom make it more difficult (jump through more hoops) to complain is unfair –

//For complaints about BBC TV or radio programmes or programmes watched on BBC iPlayer, you should complain to the BBC first//

  16. Celtic_Mist says:

Guest, Wow, Thanks, I’ll be following that one closely!

  17. Beltane says:

Events in Strasbourg a few days ago are influencing the ‘tone’ of Gilet Jaune protests even more than normal. Oddly, the BBC seem to think the riots are still based on fuel prices and other peripheral issues – they certainly don’t appear to want to notice the large grey pachyderm in the salon.

  18. ScottishCalvin says:

A scribbled recap on yet more idiocy from Theresa May:

    • Eddy Booth says:

      Theresa May’s other book.

      Lady Haw-Haw:
      ”EU calling! EU calling!
You British will never be allowed to cancel your standing order…”

Due to unforeseen circumstances, publishing has just been postponed.

  19. Fedup2 says:

Newcastle man charged with terrorist offences

Abdullah Mohammed Fatah – geordies eh?

For some reason not named on the BBC so far today – allegedly tried to make a pressure cooker type bomb .

Another one celebrating Christmas in The Belmarsh mosque and madrasa …

  20. Guest Who says:

    Gav chips in.

    • Guest Who says:

      For ‘balance’..

      • Beltane says:

Even better balance was achieved by Peter Allis a few years ago, when he ‘crisply’ kicked the wretched little boy off the set. His conceit, and experience of the local pitch and putt course, had helped him believe in a more informed and popular golf commentary.

  21. Up2snuff says:

Maybe the PM is being really canny in a way that would make a Scot proud.

The Government No Deal Brexit petition I thought might just reach 100,000 from 65K+ over the weekend perhaps, possibly, if not it would get there probably during Monday.

It has gone from 85K+ to nearly 100K THIS AFTERNOON!

    Just 2,300 sigs needed now.

    • Up2snuff says:

Too late, 45 minutes and it is over the 100,000 mark.

I guess Parliament will duck the debate and use the excuse that “As further negotiations are proceeding we are unable to debate this at present but Parliament will have an opportunity to consider the option before the end of January 2019.”

It would be a good signal to Parliament, imv, if the 250k or 500k mark could be breached. One million would be a fantastic signal to send to Westminster and Whitehall.

      • Emmanuel Goldstein says:

        7:47 and it’s over 105,500
It’s going up at 120 per minute.

        • Up2snuff says:

Emmanuel, I’ve just watched it go through a 1000 to 110,000. If this can be kept up for a few more days it will send a powerful message.

The Hard-Remainers have been using organisation to fight to overturn the Referendum result. I suspect and certainly hope that this one is more or less built on personal initiative and networking.

I wonder what effect the Sunday papers will have?

  22. Eddy Booth says:

    • StewGreen says:

      Flippin heck !
The Yellow vests go into the street and stand silent
at minute 7:23 she hits the button and an amazing David Cameron speech starts
.. He clearly states “It will be your decision”
“There will be NO second referendum”.. ‘no fudge’ etc
Why the heck haven’t the media being referring to this speech ??
It knocks out all of the loony things that people are trying to push : The Peoples Vote idea, May’s fudge etc.

  23. chancygardner says:

May told not to ‘run down clock’ on deal, says the headline today on the BBC.

It’s a curious word to use isn’t it? Read further into the article of course and it was simply Jo Johnson, the resigned Transport Minister who offered the advice. That’s not ‘told’ . It’s akin to me stating in a headline ‘BBC told to tell the truth’, when in fact it had just been me suggesting it in a HYS.

Manipulative use of the English language to suit the political agenda as ever.

  24. G.W.F. says:

May has to go along with her government. Criticism of migration will be criminalised – at least a legal framework for hate speech.

    Worse than the Brexit deal

    Get them out

  25. john in cheshire says:

Has this small victory over the far-left bbc collective been seen by others?

  26. RobRoy says:

Excellent! The petition has passed 100,000 and seems to be accelerating. There’s been over a 1,000 new signatories in the last 15 mins!

  28. Guest Who says:

This one looks more fun than usual.

    • Fedup2 says:

Fascinating how a man who has mental health issues , never been elected to public office and whose patron PM is regarded as a demon is still given the oxygen of publicity and allowed to peddle Soros lies –
Like the claim he made that people are now majority remainers -until he was faced with the truth that there hasn’t been much change since the referendum .
And of course the corruption of the dodgy dossier ……

      • StewGreen says:

        Thomas Evans replies

      • Scroblene says:

Fed, the dodgy dossier was nebulous!

In fact, it was more nebulous than a nebulous publication’s nebulosity, and stirred up by a mental nebula ‘working’ in cahoots with a nebulous liar and expecting (instructing) a nebulous left-wing organisation (the BBC) to engender even more nebulosity into an already nebulous cover-up, to make a disbelieving public think there was nothing to see here; move on…

        All together now: –

        Nebulosity, a simple nebulosity,
Forget about your troubles and your strife,
It’s only nebulosity, for gullible Beebo-osity,
To tell their paying public ‘get a life’…

With apologies to Ballou, Mowgli, and a supporting cast of Lib Dems and Outreach Persons.

  29. Dover Sentry says:

    BBC Online News:

“”Katowice: UN climate talks stand-off continues””

“”It was never going to be great, not least because the US is playing a laggard role, but I think we can get a decent outcome, if it’s framed in the right way,” said Alden Meyer from the Union of Concerned Scientists.””

Note the BBC’s fraudulent and deceiving photo of coolant towers belching…. What they are actually belching is steam. Should we ban clouds?

The BBC have banned any discussion on the viability of climate change. Therefore, they can print what lies they like.

    • john in cheshire says:

      Completely forgotten:
University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit
      Climategate emails
28Gate – the far-left bbc collective propaganda meeting
Michael Mann and his Hockey stick graph
      NOAA climate data manipulation
Al Gore’s inconvenient truth propaganda movie and Lord Moncton’s legal challenge to its veracity

  30. Up2snuff says:

Anyone arranging the supply of some hi-vis ‘vests’ in purple* yet?

Vive les gilets peuples! Allez gilets peuples!! Vive la UK!!!

(* or red, white & blue.)

  31. Halifax says:

Update on climate change. Our billion pound met office computer says that it’s a 95% chance that it will snow at 17:00 in Halifax. Update at 21:57 It’s still raining. Meanwhile I note that the climate change gurus are predicting a 3deg change in sea temperatures. Now I know I’m only a simple bloke but if they can’t predict weather 3 hours in advance how the hell can we believe predictions for 25 years time…..21:59 It’s still raining.

  32. Celtic_Mist says:

No sign of slowing down and I’m thinking that not a lot of folks are even are aware of it!

  33. Halifax says:

Stacey Dooley of “My home town (Luton) is now a mess” fame, has won strictly. Coupled with all White british male master chef final it’s not been a good couple of days for our beloved broadcaster.

  34. theisland says:

    103 days to Brexit.

  35. Guest Who says:

Lest there be any doubt as to the contribution BBC News has made to informing this great nation.

  36. Dover Sentry says:

    BBC Online News:

“”Climate change: Where we are in seven charts and what you can do to help””

“”The global average temperature for the first 10 months of 2018 was 0.98C above the levels of 1850-1900, according to five independently maintained global data sets.””

So, how was global temperature measured in 1850? Was it accurate? Was it likely to be accurate? How do they arrive at a 0.98 C difference between then and now amongst all these factors? Just as likely it was the opposite and we are now cooling.

  37. Guest Who says:

Katty will need to up her game.

  38. Guest Who says:

Looks like the kind of Christmas read to get the thumbs up from everything from VD to BbC Trending. Mishal is sadly away helping the moppets in Gaza light their fireworks.

  39. taffman says:

Now that Project Fear and Project Armageddon has failed has anyone noticed how All Beeb and MSM have gone into overdrive in a last desperate attempt to ‘re-educate’ (brainwashing) Brexiteers in changing their minds about independence freedom and democracy ?

  40. Guest Who says:

Come back Nish; all is forgiven.

  41. Lucy Pevensey says:

Saturday night. Good time for a sing along.

    • Jeff says:

I’ve got a strong feeling this bloke isn’t going to be entertaining us on Radio 4 any time soon.
Love to hear him on Dead Ringers…

  42. taffman says:

‘Some say’ that Mrs Chamberlain is calling in all the EU Ambassadors on Monday for talks .
Can’t see nowt on Al Beeb about this? Is there truth in it or is it just ‘fake news’ ?

  43. StewGreen says:

If tittle tattle comes up about Prince Andrew being in photo
    This is the photo
I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions

One point; in the story the US media used the term “under age prostitute” for the 17 year old
We know in Rotherham that term was a euphemism for “groomed/raped abuse victim”

  44. taffman says:

“Britain will thrive outside the EU” . Jeremy Hunt.
    Nowt on Al Beeb?

  45. taffman says:

What’s Bliar’s game ? Will Al Beeb tell us the truth ?

  46. Lucy Pevensey says:

    • Scroblene says:

      Is that all?

I can think of several thousand in the UK alone who should be banged up!

      All three on the Granuiad,
The whole of the BBC’s ‘team’ anywhere in the world, (Sopel and Katty can get solitary, for extreme nebulosity).

    • Grumbler says:

If you murder journalists you don’t make the list! Mexico – 29 killed so far this year.

Trying to think of what sums up the apparent function of the BBC Asian Network.

    Stirring, mainly.

    • JamesArthur says:

Why is being an Asian vet even of interest? He seems to be Indian but I may be wrong. Still not of interest.
Well it might have been if he were a Muslim. What is actually more interesting is that he is a man. As somebody that knows a lot of vets, you will be seeing fewer and fewer men in the next few years. One eminent vet said – the male vet is a dying breed.
No positive discrimination for boys, just like medicine, law, nursing and teaching…now that’s a story BBC

  49. Beeb Brother says:

On Five Live this morning they are still discussing racism in football, over a week on from that harrowing ‘idiot does something idiotic’ shock at Chelsea. Talk about overkill.

I just know they are going to shoehorn in some section about racism into SPOTY this evening, along with empowered women cuddling disabled trans athletes etc – it will be a vomit fest. Yet another great event ruined by the SJWs.

  50. Guest Who says:

Bet JCJ would like to fluff her hair, eh, BBC?
