its 200 days to our WTO Brexit. So the Far Left BBC will go all out to subvert the democratic vote . Meanwhile the Swedes have shown that they do not approve of their politicians destroying their own country – a liberal poison which spread across the West unchecked up until our Brexit vote .

BBC news telling us that ‘unexpected’ economic growth in the UK was in part due to the unually hot summer. So can we tone down a little the panic over global warming?

Meanwhile the TUC are predicting so much future economic growth here in the UK that we could all pay ourselves more and downsize to a four day week. So could we stop fretting quite so much about the impending diaster of leaving the EU?

        Good point Kaiser.
If the T.U.C say that a 4 Day week is needed because there won’t be enough work to go around, then why are they so keen to import loads more migrants?
Any chance of O’Grady explaining THAT away? Or ever being asked to square her mental windmills in her bonce?

        Kaiser,
“….what the police intend to do with non-crimes”. Thats a real ‘1984’ type question. For a ‘non-crime’ to be a crime will require legislation to make the non-crime illegal. I’m sure the despots in the Home Office can come up with something after all, they managed ‘hate speech’, a non-crime is only one-step away. I hope I have’nt given anyone in the Home Office any ideas…………..

      • Terminal Moraine says:

The current Home Office definition of HC is any criminal offence “which is perceived, by the victim or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice towards someone based on a personal characteristic.

Bad enough, but this piece of research from Nottingham Trent University from earlier this year is particularly troubling: “Misogyny hate crime is understood as ‘incidents against women that are motivated by the attitude of men towards women and includes behaviour targeted at women by men simply because they are women’. (Their work is funded by Nottinghamshire Police and the Crime Commissioner.)

Notice the shift? Now simply an ‘attitude’ is enough — unspecified motivation.

Watch as this kind of definition creep spreads like knotweed.

My attitude to the police has shifted over the last 20 odd years.

      It went from :

An essential and admirable force to keep law and order.
      to..
An essential service which is worryingly absent from the streets to deter crime.
      to..
A group to whom I contribute Council Tax that are really quite bad at clearing up and containing crime.
      to..
A politicised group that really isn’t on my side and best avoided unless absolutely necessary, where there’s little point in reporting assaults, burglaries or anti-social behaviour.
      to..
A sinister Common Purpose-led bunch of latter-day social workers in blue, who pretty much have given up their core role, preferring to sit on their arses and whine about Hate Speech, in between bouts of prancing about at Notting Hill Carnival.
      to..
I pretty much hate the police!

I think ‘hate’ is too strong a word ‘ indifference’ might be better …they did themselves no favours by becoming scared of enforcing the law in case it upset an imported ‘community’ but had no problem going after while people for saying things they don’t like and trivial nonsense involving ‘causing offence ‘.

Those taking on real terrorists -and hopefully shooting them – deserve all the support in the world but ‘cohesion officers’ and ‘hate crime ‘units – – or harassing those engaged in free speech -forget it .

Funny that they waste money on encouraging reporting of some ‘crime ‘ on one hand then moaning about lack of resources . They found the resources to carry out historic sex abuse allegations and even going after dead people . Crazy ..

How does Serena Williams get victim status? Worth over £100 million; one of the greatest sportspeople in history; a celebrity – with all the power and delight that brings; plus an incredibly tough individual, in every sense – I would back her over any of the male tennis players in a fight.

She behaves atrociously and ruins a great event for everyone. As if it was ‘sexism’: she was bottling a final like she has before and lashed out like a spoilt toddler. Yet as she has victim status, due to facts entirely outside of her control, she gets to frame it as an issue of ‘sexism.’ And of course the bonkers Beeb back her rather than holding her to account for despicable behaviour; whatever wrong the umpire did or did not do this was not an acceptable response.

Bad character and being untouchables due to victim status are a poisonous cocktail: look at Rotherham. We must all take responsibility for our actions – it is the bedrock of civlilisation. If you are ‘oppressed’ though is it always someone else’s fault. Cursed be the BBC and their ilk for building this preposterous house of cards which is collapsing all around us.

Seeing as the Beeb bang on about Serena being a good role model… well what an example to set! I officiate at a number of different sports and have been on the receiving end of a few ‘wobblies’ (mainly from parents). But if the youngsters start to think they can abuse the judge/umpire/referee and then play the victim card, sport is finished as we know it. Who will want to officiate (for no payment) if all they get is abuse? Grass roots competitive sport could not survive without the volunteers.

The only surprise is Serena hasn’t played the race card… yet

BBC News about 5.40pm decided to get some views on Serena Williams’s appalling behaviour from a black professor in Afro American studies at Princeton University. Shucks, I did wonder why?
So, she duly asserted that Williams had been a victim of racism and sexism when penalised for breaking the rules of tennis at the US open.
Huw Edwards put some reasonable questions to offer balance, but the ‘victim’ narrative was clearly set – this wasn’t about tennis but about the arrogance of someone who thinks she is bigger than the game.
Williams and apologists like the professor may well have destroyed the career of a respected official who is now tainted with their smears and has no comeback.
In pursuit of their supposed feminist, anti-racist cause they reduced a brilliant young Japanese champion to sobbing and being booed when she should have been enjoying her deserved triumph. So much for the sisterhood, eh.
But there will be no apology from them because they have made this sporting issue political – just as Corbynistas can never apologise when their great leader comes out with anti Semitic statements.
The prof was allowed to claim that John McEnroe was only ever “condemned”, but never penalised, for being a brat back in the day. He was actually heavily fined, as have been many white male players down the years.
It has also been claimed the umpire changed the course of the match. He didn’t. Williams was losing, and she has a history of throwing tantrums when that happens.
These lies have been allowed to air too many times since the Williams debacle but the BBC continues to provide oxygen to this nonsense.
Williams is not a victim. She acted like a bully. Let’s move on.

“I swear to God I’m… going to take this… ball and shove it down your… throat, you hear that? I swear to God. You better be glad — you better be glad that I’m not, I swear.” Williams told the line-judge in her expletive-laden rant. ”

“Neo-Nazi thugs attack owner of Jewish diner in Chemnitz”

the owner of a kosher restaurant was allegedly injured by stone-throwing Nazi thugs during a week of far-right marches in the city of Chemnitz.

Uwe Dziuballa said that about a dozen hooded and black-clad men wielding bottles and steel pipes had also smashed up the frontage of his restaurant while shouting “Get out of Germany, you Jew-pig.” The word they used, Judensau, was once a staple of Nazi propaganda.

#1 “The attack on ‘Schalom’, a kosher restaurant in #Chemnitz took place almost 2 weeks ago, on Aug 27th 2018. The information surfaced only now. ”

cos I reckon the non-metrolib majority almost never use a train
cos the cost and location means trains haven’t been practical for them for 40 years.
Now I can understated that “railway crisis” is a narrative the Labour Party want to push
..but I am actually quoting from the BBC blurb on Tonights BBC TV North, Northwest, NorthEast joint special.

An Inside Out railway special live from the National Railway Museum in York. A unique collaboration by three regional BBC Inside Out programmes from across the north of England examines the crisis-hit railway services across the north.

Freight railways can make money, but The infrastructure costs and daily running costs for passenger railways are so high, they almost always need big subsidies.

Correct. The USA passenger train has to be subsidised but freight is very profitable.
The network in the north was built by the Victorians to move goods and minerals not people . This has not made it easy to run a modern passenger service . Compare this with the south where passengers were always better served and more important.

1984 … A thoughtcrime is an Orwellian neologism used to describe an illegal thought. The BBC have given a lot of prime air time to the prosecution and life sentences handed out (totally deservedly) to some young thugs who tortured and killed a Leicester jeweller and tried and failed to rob the shop.
    What’s the problem?
The thugs were white, the jeweller Indian subcontinental.
Now this should not be an issue. A crime is a crime and this was awful.
Except that I just can’t help feeling (evidence is the unreported knife crime epidemic in London) that if the thugs were, ahem, from certain ethnic minorities, and the jeweller white, the story may have been rather lower down the BBC news running order.

I feel the BBC ought to investigate this incredible year of weather we are having in the north.
In the winter it snowed. Then we had a bit of spring.
Then amazingly in the summer we had a heatwave – weeks of it!
But during August it rained quite a lot. The grass grew back green and lush. You couldn’t make it up!
Come September and it has been quite mellow, and misty, almost autumnal I’d say.
What is going on? If we get snow again this winter I won’t know what to think.
The weather show could really get their teeth into this weird northern climate.
It is almost as if we are getting four seasons in a year….

But the highest ever “fucking hot” moment I remember reached 99° about ten years ago. The Met Office said it was the “hottest ever”. Then it turned out to be England only. Now it looks like it could be caused by jet engine exhausts and tarmac at Heathrow, pushing it up the necessary 10° needed by the Met Office.

BBC Asian Network’s head of news is charged over live bulletin ‘when reporter named victim of Rotherham sex abuse scandal’

‘BC Asian Network’s head of news has been charged over a live radio bulletin in which a reporter allegedly revealed the identity of a Rotherham sex abuse victim.

Arif Ansari is pleading not guilty to the charge relating to the radio broadcast on 6 February.
The charges were brought by the National Crime Agency investigating sexual abuse in Rotherham from 1997 to 2013.

The BBC said it was worried by the decision to charge an editor rather than the corporation as a whole.
‘This worrying decision only to prosecute the editor risks creating a climate of fear for editors endeavouring to report court proceeding in the public interest.’

They added: ‘The error happened once and the BBC took immediate steps to ensure there was no republication,’ a spokesman said.

‘We apologised directly to the individual concerned and to the court. The trial itself was not affected.

‘However, we accept this was a serious mistake. Breaching anonymity is a criminal offence.’

Ansari is due in court on 11 October. ‘

Diversity is strength. This is believed with religiosity at the BBC; progressivism is indeed akin to a religion with its blind faith, esoteric language (white privilege etc) and its burning of thought criminals/heretics.

So the Met Police is controlled by a lesbian (double diversity points) and an Asian Muslim (double again.). According to their magical thinking this should provide so much strength that crime would effectively disappear. But in fact it is getting much worse. So clearly character matters more than superficial ‘diversity’, which a four year would understand.

Do they consider the evidence that their diversity crusade is somewhat misguided? Of course not. They plough on like zealots, martyring so much we hold dear to please false idols.

Fear not, the only functional JK Rowling brain cell is interviewed in the care home to defend the guilty, and misses the point by light years.
Rowling and Lineker, a match made in heaven? Opinions please.

The important point is, a new crime is introduced, lippism.
The crime of depicting people with thick lips, with thicker lips than they actually have.

A cartoonist exaggerates natural features, for the first time ever, and it is a crime.

So I consulted my “Infallible, complete, History of Cartoons” encyclopaedia.
Page one, the winner of the “most offensive, misleading cartoon” competition, since 2003 is The Guardian.

Serena Williams and ‘angry black women’

The “angry black woman” trope has its roots in 19th Century America, when minstrel shows mocking African Americans became popular. Blair Kelley, associate professor of history at North Carolina State University, says black women were often played by overweight white men who painted their faces black and donned fat suits “to make them look less than human, unfeminine, ugly”. “Their main way of interacting with the men around them was to scream and fight and come off angry, irrationally so, in response to the circumstances around them,” she says.

I have to ask fellow posters herabouts – do we suffer a unique news situation in London? Our local BBC tv news brings us a brief bulletine in the mornings lasting less than a handfull of minutes and which regularly contains three headlines (which maybe relevant to the capital) and has to squeeze in travel and weather. Rarely do we get properly informative details behind those headlines and it is highly unusual for us to get a follow up report in subsequent days. Inevitably, since this is the capital city we’ve come to regard as Trashcanistan, much of the actual news concerns crime. The BBC however do their level best to leaven our news snack diet with sweeties such as approved arts and entertainment notices and especially prioritises issues pushed by campaign groups which are obviously those with a narrative close to the BBC’s approved agendas. The sketchy crime reports which do make the BBC’s headlines are a bitter pill heavily sugared with the BBC’s achingly PC in-house editorial gloss. A typical example of the BBC’s community cohesion policy straining to draw attention away from crime in certain communities are the occasions when a stabbing or shooting incident only shows up when the aftermath of the police investigation appears in the BBC’s travel reports.

Our marxist friends used to theorise capitalism would surely fall as a result of its inner contradictions. Maybe. But is this effect not more glaringly obvious for the Left? Isn’t it evident that what we see on the BBC are some howlingly awkward juxtaposions?

This morning the BBC local news has as one of its supposed three headlines the issue that it wants us to know lots of school kids are being excluded from class and this is a bad thing. This is not news it is a campaigning issue loosely pinned to some ‘report just out’ or ‘figures reveal’. Anyway, in the next headline one of those sketchy crime reports tells us 70 school kids have run amok in Uxbridge town centre. Oh dear, there goes the BBC’s narrative. Like the BBC had put up Serena Williams as their recently post-pregnancy role model successfully going back to work and she goes and blows her top.

And that quaint childhood tale of seventy go adventuring in Uxbridge. To coin a phrase – we have to look elsewhere for the details…

    https://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/news/west-london-news/uxbridge-fight-video-town-centre-15135554

‘Horrific footage of the fight which took place in Uxbridge town centre between about 70 youths is being shared on social media.
The High Street and surrounding area became a “dispersal zone” on Monday evening (September 10) after crowds of young people “swarmed” and began “stamping and kicking each other”.
The violence led to one shop locking its doors in response to a young person running away to escape a larger group, Metropolitan Police confirmed.’

The video is heavily pixelated and a bit laggy but in case you were wondering there’s a lot of youngsters intoning whimsical cockney phrases such as : “innit, blud!”

I stopped taking in the local news long ago. I was involved in an incident which got reported . It was no where near the truth . I gave up then .

. But thought I about it – the south east of England is about 15 million people – minimum – yet those people get 3 minutes of coverage . The BBC local news has always been less than poor – I wonder if it is the internal culture that the only things that matter ( nationally) are what happens in Londonistan so therefore there is no need for ‘local’ news ….

The BBC could probably run 32 stations for Londonistan – one for each borough – Newhart would have its own Urdu station but I suppose the disgraceful Asia network does that already .

AsISeeIt- Everything you write is correct. However however although it is difficult to comprehend the Londonistan regional programme on the BBC mostly presented by Liz Rateef and Asad Ahmad is a programme for the ethnic community of the capitol. Yes there are the token whitey presenters and reporters. But you have to
remember that the indigenous population of the capitol is now a
small minority. And the notion of positive discrimination goes out of the window when it comes to us 30% or so indigenous Londoners.
I used to think at one time that Liz Rateef was just parroting her scripts written by her Trotskyist, Fifth Columnist editors . But more and more the way she says “Toreeeeeeeeees” or the “BOSSESSSSSSS” makes me believe that she enjoys doing the bidding of her editors.

The BBC’s research shows that local news reaches a greater proportion of the general population than the main news – meaning that as a propaganda tool, local news has more value. I am frequently in London as well as the north and watch serious bias in both areas. In the north it is less about hiding crime committed by some parts of the community and more about attacking the government on schools and hospitals. But that isn’t to say that sometimes ‘men’ or ‘plumbers’ as used to be mentioned on here, are reported to have carried out some crime or other – usually when the names are given out they are eastern European. Political news is always delivered by Tim Iredale with a camera positioned below his nose and about 2 feet away so that it gives him a sneering look.

“If you report a non-crime to the Police, are you wasting police time thus becoming a criminal?”

However, if I do not report a non-crime, I will be aiding and abetting in the concealement of a non-crime.

However until the reported incident is investigated, which it will be, because the non-crime is ineluctably associated with a hate-crime, which is the most serious crime known to those with a negative IQ, it cannot be conclusively shown to be a non-crime.

Furthermore a classification of non-crimes is required, because not all non-crimes are equal.

I suggest the most severe non-crimes, those which the police wish to be reported, are classified as NonCrime1.
Then the police can record all NonCrime1 events. Since these are simultaneously, imaginary, non-criminal and serious, only one outcome is possible. The NonCrime1 events must be punished in special NonCriminal1 courts, which will return guilty verdicts in all cases because the reportee will be reporter, witness, advocate, jury and judge.
The NonCrime1 conviction rates can then be reported widely and there will be no need to produce statistics on real crimes.

I suggest that the classification NonCrime2 is given to incidental events, like murder or mass rape, which the police do not want reported, have no intention of investigating and will, if reported, record them as non-crimes to keep real crime figures down. Not that there will be any point in recording real crimes, as I noted in the preceding paragraph.

Will it soon become like the film the Minority Report where you can also be incarcerated for thinking about committing a crime only worse-you can be arrested for thinking about committing non crime too!
