Start the Week Open Thread 11 June 2018

President Trump meets the Rocket Man today and its possible that the 1950 Korean War will officially end . Britain lost over 1000 dead in that war .So how will al beeb cover this historic meeting ? We can but guess.

This week marks a year since a fire in a tower block. There might be no better week  to abstain from Al Beeb…but for those witnessing the bias here be a new thread .

When I was growing up we used to have proper stories and girls’ stories. Girls’ stories were invariably set in all-girl boarding schools, with all female teachers. Our heroines usually spied on someone like the local (male) butcher who they would reveal as doing something bad like smuggling.

Now the likes of the BBC don’t bother with the labels, they pretend that girls’ stories are real stories.

The latest is Hidden on BBC Four’s ScandiNoir slot, where they try to prove that the Welsh can be as dour and depressed as any Dane.

The female detective inspector reports to her female boss and is assisted by her female back office staff. When she goes home she battles with her three sisters. Hopefully she will be called back to work by the unseen female pathologist. Yet to be linked into the murder story is the female district nurse. There are some men however. There is a male detective sergeant with a lecherous eye for the ofice females, despite being married himself. There is the dad, the ex-chief constable, but he is old, stale, set in his ways and soon to be dead from cancer, (probably voted for Brexit!). The district nurse appears to be in a relationship with Marc, who is clearly a bad sort.

Oh, I forgot, the masonry works is run by a woman, who does no work. That is the preserve of a mere male, Dylan, who is very obviously bad. In all the F:M ratio is in excess of 5:2 and not a single male looks to be much good.

Still on the BBC biased website, the only mention of the free Tommy Robinson protest is biased entirely. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-44427518

They pick out the bits they approve on ( like pointing out there was some trouble) and miss out several facts they don’t like. Why haven’t they reported how many people were there protesting and why they were protesting? Does it not bother the BBC that a man was tried, convicted and locked away in a day? Are the BBC not concerned about free speech going down the pan? If the BBC were unbiased and a reliable news provider they would cover all the facts. Oh and of course the article I linked to also cleverly omits telling the reader why Tommy was at the court and who was being tried there and for what crime. We all know it was Muslim grooming gang but BBC more interested in making Tommy the bad one and they don’t seem to care about them sick fucks in the court

It seems if a Muslim person who is a doctor is found guilty of medical negligence following the death or serious harm of a patient, then the government are lobbied into action to protect the Muslim person. In this case the Health Secretary is bringing in new measures to help protect people like Dr Bawa-Garba when they are professionally negligent.
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-44413443

This is an example of how quick the UK political system is in responding to issues involving Islam in order to protect Islam.

Compare that with the UK political response to news of hordes of predominantly British-Pakistani and Bangladeshi men sexually abusing and raping lower class white English girls up and down the country.

I’m waiting for the first time this Government tries to criticise or sanction another shithole country on the way it treats it’s people, especially journalists who tell unpalatable truths and things the government don’t want to hear. What this Government, and even more so, our “truth” speaking BBC and so called much vaunted free press, have done in locking up TR, is shown the world that they are no better than the communist states of old and the present day theocracies they have castigated in the past. It isn’t BBC bias, but part of the larger picture of media manipulation. The Tommy Robinson march is at last being discussed by Nick Ferrari on LBC.

But oh, dear. Brought on to discuss are someone from “Stop Hate Now”, or some such name and some professor who is an expert on the far right and fascism. So that’s several thousand people tarred. The one thing about LBC is that they take listeners calls and the first person on showed that Ferrari knew nothing about the march. He thought about 1,000 were there and was put right by the caller. Who was promptly cut off.

Basically President Trump is a fool and has been hoodwinked into meeting Kim jobby in order to ‘big up’ the latter and president Trump doesn’t know what he is doing

I think there are going to be plenty of sour grapes being thrown around this week . I’m guessing nothing tangible will come from the talks because it is hopefully the start of something . This will be seen as a failure by MSM

I also agree on the lack of analysis on whether Trump has a point on the tariffs. Trudeau is a white knight for defending his people and imposing tariffs yet Trump is a monster for worrying about his people.

The thing is, because he is right on Nato and Europe has arrogantly traded on the US shield of protection whilst ridiculing them to their face, I can totally understand him wanting to flip them the bird.

Add to this, we all know that the EU is a protectionist racket imposing tariffs on everyone yet this portrayal of Europe being picked on by Trump is pathetic.

Difficult to know since so many impartial, professional, experienced, well-funded media organisations chose, like the BBC, to ignore the event or misrepresent it or just plain lie about it.

However, as usual they didn’t reckon on social media and there are several videos which were streamed live, like this one:

There is also an allegation that the public didn’t vote for non-whites and the BBC want to keep that secret/
Now when someone sent in a FOI the BBC simply just ignored it. The Information Commissioner has simply reminded the BBC they have to issue SOME form reply, which will probably be

I guess part of the reason the BBC doesn’t want to release their voting figures may be because we would see how few people these days ringing in to vote and that the difference between winners and losers are huge in percentage terms but with smallish numbers. Not sure I can raise the energy to do a TOADY Watch in all its glory, today, so I will content myself with a wildly ridiculous fictional possibility, thanks to Stephen Kinnock MP (Lab, Remain) who appeared in the last half hour of the programme, close to 9am.

Stephen Kinnock is anxious to have Arron Banks investigated for his links to Russia, all his boozy lunches, picking his nose in public, owning a diesel car and driving at 31mph in a 40mph limited zone.

Two months back, Russia, its Kremlin and Putin were the boogie man of the Western World, thoroughly evil and tyrannical and evil, Putin an evil despot and fascist – no doubt – as well as an evil Communist. Did I mention that Putin was considered to be evil? By the BBC, HMG, everyone in Parliament and the ‘Commentariat’. Well, he was. He appears to be a bit more cuddly, this month, as he is now talked about in rather less condemning fashion. In mid-March, Putin was worse than Kim Jong-un, that there Putin was. Back then, (whispered), he was ‘even worse than Trump’.

The BBC, newspapers and various politicians were talking about the possibility of going to war against Russia in punishment, if not escalating things much further and cancelling the World Cup. If that was not going to be enough to make Putin mend his ways, then Britain would go for the nuclear option and stop the England team from taking part!

Know what? That Skripal poisoning in Salisbury? It woz the EU wot done it!

Over two months and the work of two thousand investigators, their efforts have revealed ….
    ….. nothing.

Except it was bodged, nearly had disastrous collateral damage and has ended in failure for the investigators (so far) and the perpetrators despite the colossal investment of time and taxpayers’ money.

    Very EU, all that.

I realise that those who comment are not a representative sample of the readership of the Times but 90% plus is an impressive demonstration that those who read the Times dont want Europe over run by migrants. We can safely assume that those who read the Telegraph, Mail and Express are of similar view. We know that polls throughout Europe clearly show that migrants are unwanted . So why does the BBC pretend otherwise? It is certain that the BBC will now start a campaign for the UK to take more migrants trading on the gullibility of Brits who believe the heart rending stories that the BBC will concoct and are unduly influenced by dumbo celebs calling for us to throw open our borders and our hearts. Stupid and dangerous is what i call it.

My daughter was watching CBeebies yesterday. A programme called Biggleton. A pretend village where young children play the roles of shopkeepers, fireman, postman, policemen etc but has a disproportionate high number of black and disabled children.

an example of which is here…

at 2m54s you can see 5 children, 1 in a wheelchair and 3 black.
at 3m19s you can see 4 children, 3 are black.
at 3m52s you can see 4 children, 2 white, 1 Asian and 1 black disabled.

Pretty much every camera shot of 2 of more people will be >50% ethic minority/disabled. I can’t see just 2 white people in camera shot with noone else in view anywhere in the video.

Anyway yesterdays episode ended with a sing song playing musical instruments such as small guitars, tamborines etc. What did the BBC give one of the black girls to play?……….

On the other hand, Rasta Mouse (another CBeebies show) is certainly the most racist show to be on television since the 70s. It’s genuinely worth looking up on iPlayer if you don’t have kids to know it. Summary: A patois speaking band of mouse reggae musicians solve mysteries on a Caribbean island, most of which involve petty theft. The leader ‘President Wendsleydale’ is clearly modeled on a south American dictator, as is his wife, and there’s a suspicious number of orphans on the island, implying that it’s set after a brutal civil war.

    The things they say.

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDA) is the gift that keeps on giving. Slowly but surely the true feelings of the elites for the majority of the people they live with are revealed. And fairly unpleasant reading it often makes. Writing in the Times today Alex Massie refers to Hillary Clinton’s election losing “basket of deplorables” sneer, and notes it was an “unfortunate but not altogether inaccurate description” of Trump’s supporters. Even Clinton no longer refers to a quarter of the American electorate as deplorable, although of course like Massie she still thinks it a not inaccurate description. A view shared of course by many in the Democrat party, driven madder by the day by Trump’s steadily improving ratings.

The world changes daily before Massie’s elitist eyes. He tries abuse – if Trump wins a second term “the toddler-in-chief will be truly unleashed” and he tries sticking his head in the sand – “the EU’s resistance to democratic challenge contributes to its stability ..”. But TDA has taken complete control. The default position when dealing with the United States, he concludes, must now be to verify, then trust. “Above all it means confronting the fact that these people are not our friends”.

It’s a good job that Trump is such a nice chap. He might just take the hump at being lectured by a bunch of European elites that have had a free defense ride on the US for 70 years. If he wasn’t such a pleasant fellow he might have got fed up with the Europeans forming trade cartels to run large trade surpluses with the US. Such is the generosity of the man that he sees nothing wrong with the Europeans taking all these profits and defense savings and constructing giant bloated welfare states – all the better to sneer at the ghastly yanks and engage in endless virtue signaling.

The only way we can achieve that is by flooding the continent with millions of Third World migrants, and that costs a lot of money! Have you not read the briefing documents prepared by the State Department and CIA after WWII?”

Oh but they did G, the d.j. Jeremy Vine had a segment devoted to an analysis of the photo, you know the one that shows Trump (no title of course) sitting defensively with his arms crossed to indicate that he’s not engaging with the debate whilst he is cowering under the powerful but beneficent Chancellor Merkel (full title of course) whilst other world leaders gaze on rapturously except the Japanese who are apparently embarrassed by ‘Trumps behaviour’. He had some plummy voiced art “expert” who made lots of noise before opining that it is clearly representative of Satan being interviewed by the angels “I suppose we know who’s supposed to be Satan” chuckled Jeremy. Followed by some carefully selected callers agreeing that the photo proved he was a rude, sulky, imbecilic …..well, you get the drift. No one suggested that there may have been hundreds of photos taken at the meeting but it was only this one that the great and good wanted to reference.

Having read the story about the Love Island Brexit discussion (below), one has to wonder if the younger generation (who supposedly all voted remain), actually knew what THEY were voting for.
They actually think that we will no longer be (physically) in Europe, it will be harder to go on holiday and that there will be no trees after Brexit!!!

And they accuse the “older” generation of ruining their future on that basis?

A close study of what big people were up to was always the most exciting occupation of youth, but nobody wants to grow up these days and who can blame them? Toys are us. … Time for a return to democracy, individuality, and family. I’ve said my piece. Thank you. {naturalchild.org – john gatto – jan1990}

A joy to read this Marky.
Met this great man in 1999, and we corresponded for a while.
A true great, please keep posting it so other teachers here can read it.
Quite a charmer too, but lost most of his PC audience with his defence of the 2nd Amendment.
But I knew he was right, as did quite a few of us.
Schools will go the way of the Euro very soon, they`re WAY past their sell by date.
How many times will we have to get them to colour a worksheet using Obama shaded crayons, and exhorting kids to recycle batteries, use a condom and pick up a GCSE in scinece at reception?
        Ta for posting!

          Well, that`s me satisfied.
          Category error, dear.
Peter the Hermit probably wasn`t teaching in a Leningrad School, watching the Vienna Metro getting tagged and with druggies wanting to rape his donkey in Paris or Seville.
No schools back then, get the idea that Gatto isn`t talking from the top of a thirty foot pole or from down in a monastery basement. Maybe you are maxi, a dungeon dotard and blowhard like yourself may see the parallels.
          But in 2018, I don`t.
Have you anything more recent than Peter the Hermit? Peter the Great? The Kaiser or Emir of Constantinople maybe?
Poor maxi, not even willing to risk the Restoration yet. Give him time though-a few centuries and we may yet get to Bologna getting its Quality Assured sticker. Prat!

I think that many bubble dwellers believe that joe public spends s lot of the time worrying about the detail of this or that when in fact a lot of people don’t bother with al beeb, politics or other things which vex the like of me. I don’t mean to sneer
Or criticise because that is their choice in a semi free country and the political class of Clegg and kinnock would be delighted .

But then one day one gets bitten on the ass .

It’s comedy hour on Daily Politics with Joke O’Burn and various clowns.
I’ve just heard Son of Kinnock the Welsh Windbag claim that he saw it as his sacred duty to maintain “trust and confidence in our democratic processes” by smearing Banks as a conduit of illegal Russian funds. Respecting the outcome of the referendum would be the best way of fulfilling his sacred duty rather than clutching at any straw to undermine the will of the people.
You have got to hand it to Kinnock as far as self control is concerned – not even a snigger as he claims to be a noble defender of democratic ideals. Hypocrisy and mealy mouthed treachery has reached a new nadir.
If there is anyone who needs investigating it’s the Kinnocks. They have made a cottage industry out of the “Brussels gravy train”.

Grenfell Tower: I ‘regret’ my reaction, says Theresa May
Prime Minister Theresa May has said she will “always regret” not meeting the residents of Grenfell Tower in the immediate aftermath of the disaster.

Which residents does she regret not meeting exactly? The fraudulent one who never lived there or the unknown number of illegal immigrants in sub let flats?

Wouldn’t make any difference whatsoever if she met some of them and nodded with a bowed head for 10 minutes. Theresa really means “she regrets not showing some virtue signalling to shut the Momentum lot up”.

No, not that but perhaps not thinking tactically. Exactly like TM and Bojo.

TM had just had the GE failure of a lifetime. Bojo had been delinquent in his Party duty although not as bad as Hammond and some others but he was ex-Mayor of London with experience and knowledge and contacts.

Both could have done themselves and the Conservatives a power of good by getting there straight away, even if only to encourage the firefighters and get on the ‘phone to sort resources that would help those evacuated from their homes.

TM as Party leader could have been on the ‘phone to Andy Street to get his contacts from old days in the JLP to help with essential bedding, clothing & foodstuffs for the short term. Bojo similarly. At least the local churches went immediately into action.

I am not sure what is happening politically with Spain, but they have massive unemployment and are one of the poor countries of Europe. The boat is going to be docked in Valencia – and I suppose the majority will head down the coast to Benidorm. I know that in that region crime is high – lots of muggings and lots of elderly people as victims.

“Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.” – Winston Churchill
Take heart: Italy is not the only country to refuse the madness. Malta said no. The Vizegrád Group countries of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic say no. Growing numbers of people in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Britain say no. It won’t happen overnight – there are powerful vested interests and half-a-century of failed political ideologies to be overturned. But it will happen and the only variables are the timescales, amount of repression in the meantime and the eventual pain of change that is the sad, inevitable consequence of liberalism and globalism.
