A white cardinal has committed sexual offences! Glorious news for the BBC. All they need to do is give it absurdly disproportionate coverage like with Worboys and people will see this molehill as the same size of the mountain of ROP offenders. They even have a reporter bravely holidaying in Sydney to report; it is clearly not such s problem if you have to travel to the other side of the world to find a newsworthy incident.

Can you imagine what must be said behind closed doors at the BBC?

“All these hideous whites keep getting raped and tortured. Rather than protect them let’s do everything humanly possible to find white perpetrators of sex crimes, even if these offences are not remotely like the industrialised child rape gangs which have proliferated under our watch.”

I posted that list with no comment whatsoever. You’ve interpreted it in such a way that it fits comfortably with your own personal narrative.

        That’s your narrative, not mine.

It’s not some sort of sick competition between brown sex offenders vs white sex offenders. They are all part of the same problem.

Rapists don’t rape because they are white, brown, christian, muslim or any other convenient category you’d like to shove them into (as far away from yourself as possible). They rape because they are twisted individuals. Nothing more.

Dear me , I have also forgotten the religion the MP belonged to, but I think it may be the one that you support Maxi, you know, the one where women are put in black sacks.

Yes, child abuse is pretty much institutional among imams. Some years ago in Dakar, children were being abused and sent out to beg. To my surprise , some of the imams were prosecuted but I don’t know the result. BBC didn’t send a reporter , even though there are some nice hotels there.

I put part of this up earlier. Having seen the Lords latest attack on Brexit, and the implied support from the BBC’s coverage of the event, I think the Commons should reconsider the Act of 1649.

    March, 1649
    House of Lords useless and dangerous to be continued, wholly abolished.; Some qualified Lords to have free Vote in Parliament, if elected;

The Commons of England assembled in Parliament, finding by too long experience, that the House of Lords is useless and dangerous to the People of England to be continued, have thought fit to Ordain and Enact, and be it Ordained and Enacted by this present Parliament, and by the Authority of the same, That from henceforth the House of Lords in Parliament, shall be and is hereby wholly abolished and taken away; And that the Lords shall not from henceforth meet or sit in the said House called The Lords House, or in any other House or Place whatsoever, as a House of Lords; nor shall Sit, Vote, Advise, Adjudge, or Determine of any matter or thing whatsoever, as a House of Lords in Parliament: Nevertheless it is hereby Declared, That neither such Lords as have demeaned themselves with Honor, Courage and Fidelity to the Commonwealth, nor their Posterities who shall continue so, shall be excluded from the Publique Councils of the Nation, but shall be admitted thereunto, and have their Free Vote in Parliament, if they shall be thereunto elected, as other persons of Interest elected and qualified thereunto, ought to have.

    Otherwise to have no Priviledge.

And be it further Ordained and Enacted by the Authority aforesaid, That no Peer of this Land, not being Elected, Qualified, and sitting in Parliament as aforesaid, shall claim, have or make use of any priviledge of Parliament, either in relation to his Person, Quality or Estate, Any Law, Usage or Custom to the contrary notwithstanding..”

Glad to hear the BBC now recognises Jerusalem as the capital of Israel as John Humphrys told us this morning that ‘This is really a war between Tehran and Jerusalem’

Shame though that the BBC is still rubbishing the Israeli intelligence on Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Humphrys mentioned twice in stand-alone comments that Iran was still running a parallel nuclear weapons programme but he never brought it into the discussion with the naysayers that the BBC brought in to downplay what was found. The BBC’s own Lyse Doucet framed everything as in the past making no mention that Israel claimed the programme was still current.

And of course absolutely nothing about the Sunday Times report that claimed Corbyn was helped by Russian interference in the election.

Amazing what the BBC does and doesn’t see.

Oh wait….the Today programmes’ blindspot, and the website’s last night, is all the more remarkable as the website now reveals what the Israelis actually claim…

‘The Israeli prime minister did not provide evidence that Iran had violated the accord since it went into effect in early 2016. But he insisted that Project Amad had continued at the Iranian defence ministry – citing the head of the programme as saying, “Special activities will be carried out under the title of scientific know-how developments.”‘

So Iran is still covertly carrying out nuclear weapons research in breach of the famous Deal and yet the Today programme, BBC news flagship and all that, ran a narrative that was designed to deny this.

Amused to hear the BBC giving airtime to their Lordships who told us that the government was akin to an ‘elected dictatorship’ and that there was a direct parallel with the election and corruption of democracy by Hitler. So…an ‘elected dictatorship’ that is implementing the will of the people as expressed in a massive and historic democratic vote and their Lordships think that stopping this is real democracy?

How about an ‘unelected dictatorship’ of highly privileged people who are elevated to their position due in the main to political patronage and the desire to rig votes in the House of Lords by packing it with compliant, likeminded ‘worthies’ who use their power to thwart the democratic process rather than enhance it?

Enemies ‘of the People’? I should say so.

There was an interesting Panorama last night which was reasonably intelligent for current al beeb levels .

It highlighted a wrongful conviction of a man for rape . The ‘ victim’ and prosecution had not disclosed the full Facebook account which destroyed the prosecution case.

The bBC has been pre-eminent in driving up the noise levels at each and every key stage of the Brexit process.

The very careful collaboration between the bBC, the House of Lords and the EU is aimed solely at undermining a democratic vote by the British people.

The Lords decision aims to eliminate a ” No Deal” scenario……….

This, is the one card we can play that would cripple the EU and force
    a decent deal.

It also shows that when entitlement swells in an organisation the wrong decisions can be sure to follow

The Eu, bBC and Lords are 3 such examples.

    Daily Politics today
    Well done Gerard Batten
I have just watched him destroy a pathetically weak drip of a Liberal politician,Layla Moran taken to task over Islam.
He time and again reiterated the fact that he is opposed to the literalist faith not the people who do not act out the faith in the literal sense. The faith is incompatible with Britain. It is an anti semite religion.

The BBC tried to set him up again as a racist and claimed that Muslims don’t dislike Jews.
So he quoted from memory the Hadith
‘judgement day will not come, until the Muslims fight the Jews.
And the Jews will hide behind the rocks and the trees, and the rocks and the trees wil cry out.
Oh Muslim, oh faithful servant of Allah there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.’

Tories and Labour have condemned him. Because they- as a group- are PC and pathetic and anti in maintaining of the British culture. I know that will annoy many of you on this site. But care,I not.

Great. Sock it to them Gerard. Make Gerard Batten the permanant Leader of UKIP forthwith.

Islam is not a race. There are those who say it is not a religion, more of a cult or an ideology. Perhaps a religious-based ideology would be an accurate description. But in current UK legislation, there is no distinction made between race, religion or nationality when it comes to matters such as discrimination or aggravated criminal behaviour. It may be politically motivated – essentially to shut up the indigenous population – but that’s the reason why the BBC and courts etc take the position they do.

Fact: This is the number of Commonwealth-born people living in the UK in 2017 who arrived before 1971, and self-report as not being a UK citizen. They have the right to remain in the UK indefinitely but some have recently had problems proving their eligibility.

We don’t know how many have had such problems, and some who are UK citizens could also be affected.

It may be that 57,000 Commonwealth citizens arrived in Britain before 1971. However, the people we are meant to be worried about from the “Windrush Generation” are the ones who did not bother to regularise their position in 1973, despite the government advertising at the time urging them to do so.

They are also the ones who have lived and worked in Britain since the 1950s, but who apparently did not manage to leave a trace on our bureaucracy. No work record, no PAYE, no NI, no rent books, no mortgages, no driving licences, no insurance, no foreign travel. Not even a library card, it would seem.

I really applaud anyone who can go off grid like that for over 50 years. My only surprise is that anyone from our utterly useless Home Office ever managed to track any of them down.

We want out-could not have been easier, their bluff was called. If they now try to renege on that unconditional declaration they gave us, then who here will continue to be “democratic”? The Left don`t-the liberal fascists are bankrupt, relying only on our good manners and patience. All gone. We`ve had civil wars before, might be fun. Certainly we`ve had enough. Brexiteers are being stuffed…it is so frustrating. BBC and Remainers on their project fear again. Today at lunch time they allow a Tory Remoaner to makes statements like ‘ people didn’t vote for an 8% drop in GDP’ and went on about how wages will drop, jobs will go etc..and the BBC didn’t challenge at all…and how ‘polls (not specific) support another referendum

What makes me ‘laugh’ is the Remoaners argue people didn’t understand what they were voting for – but now they want people to have a say on the terms of Brexit – well if ‘people’ didn’t understand what they were voting for with a simple question – how will they unravel the details of Brexit …

We do need somebody with proverbial ‘Brexit balls’ but I can’t see it at the moment

Maybe a better response is to ask why – maybe there are more mental health issues with some sections of that population just like diabetes is 4 times higher in Arab population..and migraine 3 times more common in women…it’s not racist or sexist just genetics…

    • RJ says:

“Black people are 4 times more likely to be sectioned”

As a generalisation – they are distrustful of mental health services so they do not seek help in the early stages of their illness, and when it becomes acute they won’t come in voluntarily. If they need to be in hospital but refuse to come in they have to be sectioned. The alternative is to leave them untreated, but that is both unethical and dangerous.

All this has been known for years and was analysed repeatedly in the annual Count Me In Census which ran from 2005 to 2011.

You can always add in other factors. This is a paragraph from the 2011 Report:

“There is a need to move on from counting patients to understanding more about the factors that lead to hospital admission, such as ethnic differences in the rates of mental illness, the socio-economic and other disadvantages faced by some BME communities, and the ways in which patients enter the care environment – for instance, patients from some ethnic groups are much more likely to be referred from the criminal justice system than other groups.”

The BBC going full-on Right-Wing today as I Iistened to 5Live. They live in complete bubble don’t they?

Nihal [who has a bit of a problem with white people] was talking to Plan B, the Corbyn supporting songster who was happily laying into Brexit and Leave voters, essentially calling them racist…the usual line, Brexit has empowered and emboldened the racists…Nihal didn’t demure…though he did suggest perhaps ‘Hell’ has already broken out in the UK…due to Brexit. Farage is a liar, a pied piper who misled the people [who obviously didn’t want Brexit…just so stupid, ignorant and weak minded they did what Farage told them]. And of course Cameron turned himself into the BNP with his referendum and Boris was only onboard the Leave bus in the hope it would transport him into No10….all typical BBC narratives which it has been feeding us relentlessly.

What else? Oh, rudeness…Trump is apparently the rudest man in the world setting a bad example that will take generations to correct [Trump is from New York…and I guess there is a reason he gets on so well with the famously rude Frenchies], and we’re all getting ruder. Didn’t hear it all but I’m sure it must all be blamed on Brexit somehow.

Speaking of which there was an interview with Heseltine…again not hear it but can’t imagine the BBC putting up much of a counter argument. The presenter told us that she had received some texts which were somewhat sceptical about Heseltine and his views on Brexit so she decided to read out some that were supportive of him to balance things out. Hmmm…Heseltine gets a loud platform to put his views with probably little to no challenge and a couple of texts come in anti him and they have to then be ‘balanced’ with pro texts….something wrong there I think.

Then we had food and people getting fatter…Jamie Oliver whinging on again…and the BBC not having anything to say to oppose his argument…evil food manufacturers and terrible commercial TV companies exploiting poor people who are the fattest and most vulnerable.

And of course the autistic woman thrown out of a cinema for disturbing the audience’s enjoyment by laughing loudly. No need to say which side the BBC is on. Shame the BFI totally caved and is now taking all the blame…what exactly were its staff supposed to do? Next time you go to the cinema don’t miss any of the film by going to the loo…take a piss in the aisle and claim you’re autistic…you just don’t adhere to the same social norms as other people.

Not a bad haul for a couple of hours listening to the EU’s favourite broadcaster.

If you saw BBC 2’s Daily Politics you would have been bewildered.

Jo Coburn pretended she didn’t know Muslims were anti-Semitic. It surely can’t be that she, and the social dems person with her, didn’t know that Islam sorta doesn’t get on with Jewish people?

Clearly, she doesn’t watch BBC’s Panorama which has twice exposed the anti-Semitism in Islamic schools in the UK. Nor has she seen the BBC News web page quoting Angela Merkle admitting that the increase in the attacks on Jewish people in Germany is due to the influx of Muslims.

Perhaps Jo Coburn doesn’t know that Jewish nurseries in Belgium have armed guards to protect pre school children from Muslim armed assaults. Could she really be unaware of the numbers of Jewish people being forced out of Paris because of the increase in Muslim attacks on Jews?

I wonder if Jo Coburn is in the right job. I wonder if the BBC is in the right job.

Criminal responsibility should involve mens rea (guilty mind) and actus reus (guilty act.) if you actually intended to teach a dog to burn Jews or start a slave colony in Exeter you would be a criminal. If you just have a somewhat off-kilter sense of humour and have no intention whatsoever of doing anything beyond saying things you are not a criminal.

That private conversations were disseminated and a harsh punishment ensued sets a dark precedent, as any comment said in any state of anger, intoxication or context can lead to a life being ruined by someone with an axe to grind. This is how they lived under Stalin. That our national broadcaster cheerleads the whole shameful business makes it so much worse.

And the interviewer-a right unctuous toadie-was fearless in telling Europol, all manner of uniformed border types in Muslim related areas-to do their job and ban whitey from Knights Templar from their countries. Don`t want anybody knowing what Islam is up to do we?
Would little Cox(yes, that`s his name) go to this trouble, travel through all those countries on our expenses if it were Muslim trafficking, Somali drug gangs I wonder?
Course not. He won`t mind them, but DOES mind if “reactionaries” are brazen enough to actually “react” to what`s long been known in Eastern Europe as well as the decent people of Europe like us here.
This was the BBC writ large, pompous, indifferent , obtuse and lying through their teeth, editing like furies.
Do they take ladies who can starch and iron? The BBC made me want to join. They all think they`re Roger Cucks these days.
When they do one expose of what Islam or migration is doing to our fabric, then I`ll think again, Until then, let`s assume they want us in the EU, tiger rugs for Anjem and Corbyns Labia Party checking us all for -well, not complying.

Simon Cox is possibly a relation of Brendan Cox.He was using someone from the totalitarian left wing group `Hope Not Hate` as an authority on the issue of the Knights Templar influence without pointing out how left wing `Hate not Hope` are

Alicia: As a ‘Political Scientist’ I listened to that programme with interest, in the hope of discovering what R4 thinks the ‘far right’ actually is, i e what are its ideological convictions, how does it differ from the ‘right’ or from conservatism, what does it actually do in the UK, which parties do they think are ‘far-right’ eg UKIP?
I was disappointed to hear a poor, disjointed attempt by someone who travels a lot (and quite possibly has a GCSE and is trying to improve from an ‘E’ in scriptwriting for radio), to character assassinate one individual and one organisation I had never heard of. It was impossible to draw any conclusions as to what the ‘far-right’ is, although there were some extremely vague and very confused and confusing attempts to outline what they allegedly do.
We could have had merely the breathless last sentence, specifying who public enemy No1 is supposed to be, and we could have saved ourselves the trouble of listening to all the muddled, half-baked insinuations about what he may have done in Serbia or wherever.
R4 is capable of interesting stuff. This was really poor. Who is Simon Cox? R4 journalists are usually a lot slicker.

Trump trolling the media beautifully again. Obviously a doctor would not write that he was the most healthy person ever to become president and his strength and stamina is astonishing.

Revoltingly sneering article from the BBC about Trump’s comments on Nigeria. He pronounced Boko Haram wrong, let’s all snigger! He thinks they might be slaughtering Christians – how absolutely ridiculous!

He may pronounce foreign words incorrectly but he does not think that the greatest threat to our civilisation is a noble, peaceful creed which must be protected at all costs – even as they rape and terrorise with impunity.

They hate him for breaking their spell of silence. Everyone else steps into line when the media feigns outrage after uncomfortable truths are spoken. He just ploughs on regardless, bulldozing through their meticulously constructed walls of lies. They speak of how he ‘undermines democracy’ or whatever when he constantly calls them fake news, but if it were not true it would not hurt them so badly. If people kept telling Lionel Messi he was bad at football he would not care as it so obviously is not true.

Someone who worked alongside him said “ultimately Sajid will do what is in Sajid’s interests”.

Classic BBC unsubstantiated quote as a headline, moving seamlessly from single to double quote marks in the process.

You know, BB, I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. I may have to steal that. I feel my gnomic utterances have been getting a bit stale recently.

Great little post, as was your earlier one about the Exeter students, by the way. Your contributions here are always edifying and a pleasure to read.

The BBC have commissioned a drama called ‘Englistan’ about a family of Pakistani immigrants.

I imagine they battle racism from nasty little Englanders and go on to make super human contributions without which our very civilisation would crumble. Nothing about ‘grooming’ or other contributions I imagine. God, who on Earth is going to watch that?

Glad I don’t have a tv licence but then, I would not even be tempted to watch this sort of programme anyway. The BBC: sowing the seeds of isolationism.
The programmes I would have watched are virtually non-existent these days anyway.

What a surprise that just as Kanye West voices his support for Trump and conservative ideas he is smeared as being an apologist for slavery.

Why can they not try and have an argument or a grown-up conversation rather than always resorting to character assassination? It is because they cannot win the argument.

Their message is clear: commit a thought crime and we will destroy you. The idea that liberals are the kind and decent side is long gone.

They may have an arsenal of dirty tricks and huge cultural power to bully people into submission, but we have something bullet proof: the truth. They can try to smash down Milo, Kanye or Trump with vicious smears but another 100 will spring up in their place. They are fighting hard to cleanse the internet of truth but its very nature makes it extremely resilient. The old order is crumbling and it is glorious.

Indeed Beep. After the Trump vicotry the actress Nicole Kidman was asked for her view. She offered the obvious, rational observation that we should now give him a chance and see what he does.

From the soft left’s demented reaction you’d have thought she said Hitler was a good guy.

TOADY watch: funnies, strange but true.

Mishal reads the newspaper headlines during the 7.30-8.00am segment. Comes to the FT and its front page lead and adopts hard, disapproving tone of voice. The Home Office may have made mistakes (there’s a thing!) in accusing foreign students of cheating on English tests and thereby, heartlessly, cruelly, depriving them of entry to the UK.

Same half-hour segment, may have been next item but one. Lithuanian companies (and others) providing help to academically challenged students with money who buy written papers and/or theses in order to get their degrees.

    Students cheat! Er, what?

Wake up, Mishal! Wake up Sarah Sands! Wake up Editors of the Day! All asleep on the job.

PS: J R-M in post 8am News interrogation with The Humph and sounding very ‘Ministerial’.
