Glorious moment this morning on the Today show as the ‘underpaid’ Carrie Gracie enthusiastically cheered as she led a discussion on female scientists and heard that a male scientist in the golden age of male dominance thought that women were just as good and just as intelligent as men….hurrah said Gracie….and then the completely unaware speaker added…‘and cheaper’.…Gracie let out a very sudden, deeply disappointed ‘Oh!!’ and came to a full stop.  Gloriously funny.

Anyway…no shortage of bias judging by a mere 15 minute listening to the Today show this morning….apparently Labour could be in government inside 12 months [top tip from Nick Robinson] and Sadiq Khan’s anti-Brexit ‘project fear’ report was produced by an entirely independent and impartial group. [LOLLOLLOL….both pro-Corbyn and anti-Brexit]].

List the bias here…..

Yes Nihal is naive ..and the BBC played down the comment

Laura Pidcock, who won the North West Durham seat in the 2017 snap election, said her stance was “visceral” and that she had “absolutely no intention” of being friends with “any of them”.
“The idea that they’re not the enemy is simply delusional when you see the effect they have on people – a nation where lots of people live in a constant state of fear whether they even have enough to eat.”

She also claimed female Conservative MPs were “an enemy to lots of women”, in a separate interview with Refinery29.

What EXACTLY do Directors of all these so called ‘think tanks’ do, apart from appearing as talking heads on the box ? Sky is as bad as the BBC for Guardianistas. Just watching the Press Review on Sky and if I had to sit and listen to Faiza Shaheen on a daily basis strangulating the English language I’d have to throw something at her. She’s the ‘Director’ of the Centre for Labour & Social Studies, er really ?? she is also listed as an economist, writer, and activist.
Apparently she was born in Leytonstone, East London, and attended the same school as David Beckham. Um, not something I would advertise quite frankly, but speaks volumes that the school clearly doesn’t teach the art of articulation to its pupils, or inform them that there are some words that end in ‘g’ and not a ‘k’.

I shouldn’t get worked up at such things, but the dog repairs to the Landing when I start sounding off.

Remember that poor Kurdish asylum seeker who was attacked in a horrible racist attack outside the goat pub last year which quickly became just a nasty attack . Here is a little more info the bBC isn’t bothering to report:
Pack’ chased teenage asylum seeker through the Shrublands estate and brutally beat him in ‘disgraceful and cowardly’ group attack, court hears
The incident began, according to Mr Holt, with an initial fight between now-convicted friends Kurt Killick and George Walder, and Mr Ahmed along with his friends Dilshad Mohammed and Hamo Mustafa. After this first skirmish at around 11.30pm more people come out of The Goat pub, and two defendants are alleged to have rushed out of a car which was driven to the scene of the attack at the nearby roundabout. The court heard that Mr Ahmed was guided to sit in safety by bystanders while his friends had fled to hide in the safety of a nearby garden. Mr Ahmed, having been attacked once, was chased down by a “pack” of attackers and brutally beaten on Shrublands Avenue.

So after a fight between 3 Arabs against 2 brits, the pub empties and beat up the Arab who didn’t get away.

I’m reading ‘Fools, Frauds and Firebrands: Thinkers of the New Left’ by Roger Scruton. Its not always an easy read, and yes Scrutton is right wing, so uses the book to tear apart left-wing ideology with a vigour normally associated with the BBC denigrating the Tories.
Scrutton points out that David Irving is quite rightly pilloried for denying the holocaust and defending Hitler.

Yet, as he points out, left wing historians like Eric Hobsbawm continuously denied the murders of Stalin in books that were used as school text books when I were a lad. As an historian he still is revered today in left wing circles.
(Other left wing 20th century historians also available: E P Thompson, Ralph Miliband, Christopher Hill, etc the great left thinkers of the times either denied or justified the deaths in Russia and China).

But it got me thinking. How can those who apologise for the millions of appalling deaths caused by Stalin/Lenin or Mao, be given such an easy ride by society today. Seamus Milne is Jeremy Corbyn’s advisor, he justifies the millions Lenin/Stalin murdered by Stalin. The shadow chancellor, John McDonnell, said that “Marx, Lenin and Trotsky” were his “most significant” intellectual influences.

How can the Guardian newspaper be sold on Virgin trains when it gave these extremists a platform. In fact, The Guardian and the BBC remain in denial, if not being downright deceitful, about Cuba and Venezuela.

Why doesn’t the BBC offer up a David Irving style warning when they interview or quote these Labour left wing extremists?
