Your point of course Fedup2 is that the North American Editor’s salary should be reduced to that of Carrie’s-which is a dam sight more than most people will ever earn-I’m a pensioner without a massive pension fund to fall back on-so lets get real and stop spending such riddiculous amounts on these people. What poor, picked on little Carrie, who claims she isn’t paid as much as the BBC North American Editor because she is ‘Female’, totally ignores in her Feminist rant is that the BBC Middle East Editor is also paid far less than the BBC North American Editor.
Is that because the BBC Middle East Editor is Female? Certainly not because the BBC Middle East Editor is male so poor, picked on little Carrie needs to find a more sensible reason for her lower pay grade such as the fact that the BBC Middle East Editor has a far less onerous and far less responsible job than the BBC North American Editor and Carrie’s position is far, far less onerous and carries far, far less responsibility than both the other positions.
I suspect Carrie’s tantrum has more to do with her not getting all her own way and her ‘poor female down trodden me’ is nothing more than a case of having fallen out with her employer and thrown a hissy fit now wants to make it look like it is all her nasty, brutal employer’s fault by playing the ‘I’m the poor victim here’ Card to make herself a Martyr to the Cause.
What does need careful examination is the fantasy pay rates the BBC throws around to it’s employees like it comes from a bottomless pit which they feel should be kept constantly filled by us via the BBC Entitlement Tax.
