I think that’s an apt analogy for life in Corbyn’s Britain: you’d pay £4 for tuppence of beer.

It also shows that he is absolutely useless at anything other than propounding the Marxist-Leninist dialectic at all opportunities. The fact that Labour garnered 40% of the votes in the last election just shows that a large proportion of our electorate is either terminally stupid or attracted to free stuff paid for by “the rich”. Probably a bit of both, but they’d soon complain when Corbyn started serving them short measures, and that is the story of every Labour government we have ever had. Eventually, they run out of beer.

Jacob Rees-Mogg dresses smartly, is always clean shaven, speaks clearly and politely, and is a happily married heterosexual Christian gentleman.

No wonder the BBC think he is eccentric. He might as well come from Mars as far as they are concerned.

Apart from the small detail of being a Roman Catholic rather than an Anglican, Mr Rees-Mogg is a patrician leader of the type that was perfectly normal in this country for generations. Most men in senior positions of authority were like him until the late 1960s and even into the 1980s there would have been nothing unusual about him.

We now live in a bizarro-world where people like Corbyn and Abbott are considered somehow ‘ normal’ and ‘representative’ by the media. On R4 news today there were calls for the judge in the Grenfell enquiry to resign because he ‘didn’t show empathy’ and ‘had in some cases decided in favour of the establishment’.

That used to be CONDITION of being a judge – judging impartially and without allowing emotions to enter in. Now it is seen as a handicap!

Has anyone seen the Crimewatch Roadshow that is on at 09:15am on weekday mornings?

Today we had a new presenter to replace the young black girl who was in the job until last week. So we now have a new young (south) asian girl for a tiny sprinkling of diversity. Her first job was to attend a police raid on a cannabis factory situated in a semi-detached house.

The presenter asked a policeman a few questions and he rattled off some answers. However, what he said was complete bollocks. I can’t decide whether he was winding the BBC up or he really did believe what he was suggesting?

He said the haul in the house was probably worth near to £60,000,000. That it would have a (possibly true) outlay of £15,000 to set the factory up & that he had been in other basements where they had removed the supporting walls. The girl was astounded by his every word.

Parent Kori Doty – a non-binary transgender person who identifies as neither male nor female…

I’m not an expert on these new problems that human evolution has taken in the last few years but I understand “non-binary” means the person doesn’t identify with being male or female. “Transgender” means they believe they are the opposite sex to the one they have been assigned.

Therefore the two terms cannot be used together – unless they are an attention seeking hypocrite out to cause trouble and accuse everyone else of offending them.

Last night I was flanking a cyclist doing 20 mph in the bus lane. As we approched the junction ahead the traffics lights changed to ‘red’. I slowed to a stop, he steered his bike onto the pavement so as to continue across the T-junction unimpeded, still doing 20 mh.

Put a nutter on a bike and they become a quantum person, a pedestrian, a cyclist, a taxi, a criminal, partially sighted, any or all at the same time!

      From the article:
The health card has been issued with a “U” in the space for “sex”, which could be for “undetermined” or “unassigned”.

Kori Doty is fighting to omit the gender from the birth certificate.

In the days when we were sane birth certificates recorded the ‘sex’ of the child. It was quite simple, does the child have a ‘tinkle’? Then the idiots across the pond started the ‘gender’ game and idiots here took it up as ‘sex’ was a bit naughty in the Carry On way, so let’s us use ‘gender’ instead’ However the true purpose of this ‘gender’ nonsense was to use it to identify how someone ‘felt’, which of course can change from day to day.

The world has truly gone crazy, one moment we are ‘all the same’ and the next, “you can’t speak for me because I’m a bi-polar, non-binary, queer transgendered person with feelings of colour”. As the immortal Charlie Brown said many times, “Good grief!”.

When it comes to the Betrayed Girls, does Times journalist Andrew Norfolk, who visibly struggled with the word ‘paki’ as tear-jerking evidence of his abhorrence for racist language but was also able to sit on his intimate and detailed knowledge of the rape gangs for seven years, from 2003 until 2010 – when his conscience eventually forced him to publish – does that man really deserve his Journalist of the Year Award? I wonder how he felt, deep inside, standing there, being applauded by his peers? Seven years eh? Makes you wonder though, doesn’t it?
And wasn’t it just a little bit odd that throughout the programme not one mention was made of islam? Lots of ‘asians’ and even more directly Pakistanis, but couldn’t someone, somewhere, have been brave and honest enough to explain why the ‘asians’ felt entitled to behave as they did – and still do, of course. And ask why an imam, any imam, might have explained their behaviour, and pointed out that their prophet okayed it all centuries ago, and that kuffars don’t deserve any respect anyway, because it’s all there, written down. So what’s wrong with making that more common knowledge? After all, as the world’s most respected and impartial provider of news, the BBC had the chance to really earn their income, or at least some of it.

Just watched this “Betrayed Girls” on catchup.
The BBC DID try as hard as they could to be as hard-hitting as possible in most areas.
That this is the best that they could do is either funny or tragic.
The BNP/EDL thing was used ceaselessly as a covering excuse for why “the authorities”-God forbid that the BBC itself could POSSIBLY be included in THEM!-did nothing, and then did too little and too late.
That all this has been going on since the mid-90s-that the new generation of Muslim blokes are raping the daughters of those that their own fathers raped back at the start of Blairs reign-was truly shocking.

In short-the BBC can only blow a gentle whistle only YEARS after the events
themselves-and would rather blame Nick Griffin and Tommy Robinson for unsettling the rest of us than ask themselves this.

In what kind of sick world of their making can it POSSIBLY be better to protect convicted “rapists” than investigate big truths , albeit ones uttered by the BBCs untermenschen,,,imagined “racists”?
Until THAT changes-well , we`ll just get Colognes and Molenbeeck won`t we? And the BBC will continue to make excuses for this.

AS I say-the BBC probably think this was tough and hard-hitting,
No Islam, no accepting that these Muslim gangs target “white chav girls”-and not their own daughters (even though Muhammad might be OK with that)….no point in spending 90 minutes on archive stock of liberal liars from Channel 4 and the BBC is there ?

Oh yes and 4) They didn’t like Hillary Clinton.

As for CNN and The BBC hating Trump, the reason is simple. He is on the Republican ticket. That is enough for them.

Just heard Spidery Webb on Toady, snort with derision when Nigel Lawson said that the UK should get a 10 billion pounds a year Brexit dividend; Lawson did qualify that by stating: “Unless we negotiate that away.” Which elicited slightly more agreeable noises from Justine, as this was much more to his and al Beebus’ liking.

Yes that snort was typically unprofessional, at least Snow was off his face at “Glasto” when the mask fell totally away. Perhaps he was spared as the producer had previously arranged with him that he would propose areas for tax increases.

The sort of people who think we “can’t afford” two aircraft carriers for £6 billion, are the same who think it is only fair we spend £10 billion on EU membership and £13 billion on foreign aid every year. That’s almost enough to order eight carriers a year, every year!

Whilst I don’t want to go into the politics of should we or should we not. The fact remains these two carriers are not fit for purpose.
          1) They have no catapults or arrestor wires :
Meaning they cannot operate normal fast jets, yes they can carry F35B STOL/VTOL aircraft, but the fact remains they cannot carry a full load out as compared to aircraft on the French or US aircraft cariers.
2)They are far too big and we could have achieved a better result with ships mirroring those they replaced. or even HMS Ocean, which the Tories are selling off.
          3) Whilst their is nothing wrong with the F35B, that purchase should have been complemented by F35As and Cs
          4) If we had built smaller AC, then the RN would have been able to afford more Type 26 ships thus bumping up our fleet size with the numbers we lack. (Cameron cut the initial nbr from 12 to 8 to 6)
          5) The Royal Navy currently has no offensive capability outside the guns on the front of the ships. The carriers themselves are armed with the bare minimum of weapons. The lack of any form of anti-ship missile will remain in place for at least 10 years. Again settling for smaller ACs (or spending cash) would mean that the RN would be able to defend itself at sea from symmetrical threats

I agree that both carriers should have been built as CTOL ships, but there is nothing to be done about that now.

There is not much of a saving to be made in building smaller carriers, the steel is not the main cost driver, a smaller carrier would need the same electronics fit as a bigger carrierfor example.

It is the Type 45 destroyers which were cut from 12 to 6 (by Labour), the Type 26 frigates have been cut from 13 to 8 (by the Conservatives). Disgraceful I agree, as is the failure to replace the Harpoon missile.

The point I am making is that for £6 billion we have got two carriers which will last at least 30 years, maybe up to 50, which Leftists say we “can’t afford”, but apparently we can afford £23 billion each and every year on their pet projects, the EU and foreign aid. I’d rather have fully equipped armed forces.

              Excellent point.

At least we’ll have two, all being well (and yes, that’s an “if”). I understand from friends in Brignoles, S France, that the Charles de Gaulle has not got over its problems entirely and spends most of its time in Toulon these days. No serious talk in France of a second carrier, as originally planned, apparently.

I doubt if there’s anyone this side of the Amazon who hasn’t by now heard about our lack of fast jets to put on the new carrier. But you’re right, our shortage of properly equipped frigates and destroyers should be a major concern.

The awful Sally Davies has come up with an idea for spending more NHS money, that money which the NHS is really lacking at the moment, on a great, new universal scheme that will help everyone in the UK (but only for England – she has no authority over Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) who is suffering serious illness.

The BBC this morning on Radio 4, who live with their own ‘magic money tree’, appear to be very keen to promote Prof Davies’s suggestion.

I have a better idea. Let us scrap Public Health England and Sally Davies’ post and give the money to the NHS to keep hospitals open and recruit some permanent nursing staff for front end patient care.

However, following my experience, I seriously doubt the NHS’s ability to deliberately organise anything deeply sinister, or even slightly creepy. My guess is that they’ll waste a lot of money recording the data on a computer system which is not fit for purpose and corrupt or lose the lot.

If they could organise themselves as well as the Stasi I would actually find it reassuring, in an upside down sort of way.

I see that our good friend Lord Hall is reported in the Telegraph as worrying that Netflix and amazon are shaping and defining youth culture in this country. Once again the BBC take the gold award for irony. The state funded corporation has been steadily moulding the opinions of both youth and adults in our country for decades and in doing so steadily moving the culture and politics of our country well to the left. What Lord Hall is worried about is that the BBC is loosing its monopoly, well stranglehold actually, over what the people of the UK see and hear 24/7. This is just the same reasoning as to why they object so strenuously to Murdoch bid for SKY. As the digital revolution gathers pace the BBC will seek to minimise the competition and grow its own offering. Once again the Tories could just say no you can’t move into the digital world , or even just that in the digital world the BBC must pay for its self by subscription. Both of these ways of releasing the liberal left stranglehold that the corporation has over this country would cost very little political capital but for various reasons the timid Tories can’t find the courage to even do that.

Toady programme 8.20 today I caught the end of a Justin Webb interview with a lady who, from the 8.30 news summary, I took to be the head of cancer treatment in the U.K. Treacherous Webb introduces the European Medicine Agency and tries to insist that new treatments will be less likely here if we lose the EMA, based in Canary Wharf, and refuse to be subject to the ECJ. The good lady demurred.

And more disgrace, PG, at around 8.45am with Paddy Ashdown talking about the ‘new politics’ with a subtle hint about overturning Brexit, just sowing the seed as it were with Justin’s help, that a new populist cross-party grouping could overturn the UK’s decision to leave the EU. Not said outright, just a hint.

The outright attempt to keep the UK in the EU came immediately next with an interview with the Italian Ambassador, Pasquale Terracciano. No subtle hints here. The question was outright. “Do you want to keep the UK in the EU?”

She was Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer, and yes, toward the end of the interview about possible routine sampling of DNA to help with the treatment of cancers and other illnesses where there is a hereditary factor, the interviewer disgracefully ambushed her with questions about Brexit with the usual tactic of interrupting when she was framing an answer he didn’t like, and falling over himself to shout how we need the EMA and the EU as it would all come to nothing because we can’t possibly do anything like this on our own. She wasn’t having any of that but was too polite with her sensible answers. Dame Sally should have told him to sod off but is too much of a lady.

Isn’t Trump fantastic? It’s so great to have a leader with balls and a sense of humour who acts like normal people so. Imagine Theresa Maybot tweeting, let alone tweeting something hilarious.

I think he does it to amuse himself but also to expose the hypocrisy of the leftist media. On Toady they gleefully reported on the hilarious Caesar/ Trymp assassination, chortling childishly as if inciting murder were just a hilarious prank. Then he tweets he CNN wrestling video and they say he is ‘inciting violence against journalists’ and go all holier than thou. At least what Trump did was funny. Julius Caesar is a tragedy. They can see something as a joke when it suits them. What I hate so much about political correctness is how po-faced and serious it is. Nobody can make jokes anymore and that is terrible. God bless Trump for standing up to these tyrants and making us laugh – I cannot remember politics ever being so much fun.

As for saying it is ‘beneath the dignity of his office’, what about the duties of the media to tell us some truths and maybe be a tiny bit impartial? They take themselves so seriously, with grandiose bylines like ‘democracy dies in darkness’, yet they see it as their primary duty to keep us in the dark about everything. You thought they could not disgrace themselves any more after their performance during the election, but they have doubled down and if anything got even worse. What about pissgate and the Beeb building that nonsense up as much as possible? Was that not beneath the dignity of our national broadcaster?

Last night we had the harrowing tale of how packs of feral Islamic males took it upon themselves to rape little white girls . Today the bBC news website spends an inordinate amount of time looking at the child abuse within the Cadets.
Sex abuse was covered up at cadet forces, Panorama finds
Its as if the bBC is trying to deflect attention from Islamic rape gangs by screaming, “Here, here.”
As bad as all sex crimes are, 363 allegations over 5 years pales into nothing when compared with even 1 Islamic rape gang. yet to the bBC this is the story to air the morning after their expose (20 years too late) of how the followers of Mohammed like bedding pretty young white girls.

    I wonder why that is.

I do not understand how anyone who watched last night’s programme about child abuse in Rochdale, or are otherwise aware of the similar outrages permitted in many other towns with a large Pakistani heritage population, could have sympathy for the campaign to increase pay for the public sector. The history of that abuse demonstrates that the police & social, health and local government staff have little interest in the well being of the settled community.

        Good point.
The raped children and their families were failed by everybody including the media who simply closed their eyes to the vast amounts of abuse been carried out my Muslims. Now we’ve been told that only a small amount of men carried out these abuses. Yet, we were informed last night that a girl would have over 100 Islamic male friends on their phones within a week of making a new Muslim boyfriend. 100s? in Rotherham alone they say over 1400 girls were abused add 2 noughts onto that figure and you have 140,000 male friends . Of course some will be duplicate , but even sticking to the original figure of 1400 as the number of Islamic abusers out of a Islamic population of just under 9000 and you can see that a large % of the Islamic male community must have know about this, and they remained silent.

UK Muslims want Sharia to replace all UK laws and as the UK inevitably starts to accept Sharia (in certain areas) then sex with children will become a Allah given right. If you don’t want to be raped then you move away from Muslim areas as is already happening across the country.

      Agreed Pounce.
I also watched the programme, “Three Girls” although the title is inappropriate as it concerned hundreds of girls abused by muslims merely following their culture. In the words of the muslim head of the CPS, those now convicted in 2015 are merely the “tip of the iceberg”. So, out there somewhere right now, white British girls are being sexually abused by, predominantly muslim men. Actually, the BNP/EDL had it completely right and should have been listened to at that time.
What struck me with the programme (and being mindful of the bias and restraint imposed by the BBC so we did not see all) is that the Police and others with the power to intervene, (like the local authority), effectively, found the actual presence of muslims in the UK, menacing. They were in fear of the problems tackling the abuse would create between “communities”. So, the organs of the State were intimidated by those following islam. Those that are meant to protect us failed – then. That was over 10 years ago and many hundreds of thousand more muslims are wandering our streets now as opposed to then. No one can tell me that importing hundreds of thousands of extra savages from another alien culture over the past ten years makes Britain free from the rape and abuse of women and girls as is now commonplace in the rest of Europe. No. Unless of course all the abuse is still being concealed…………
I noted the muslim head of the CPS did state that nothing in the quaran denigrates women. Really? Try this selection of excerpts directly from the quaran Mr CPS –
      http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/women-worth-less.aspx
It took over ten years to obtain convictions in court when the evidence was there to be used over a decade before. So, 2015 was the year then. What else happened in 2015 which, perhaps finally persuaded the police to do anything? News, (for what it was from online broadcasters) slipped out about the rape and sexual assault epidemic spreading throughout Europe from those following islam. It was and still is the norm for muslim men. Is the UK exempt from this? Do we have a better kind of imported muslim in the UK who holds respect for women – is there a vetting process – No I don’t think so. So I conclude that the rape epidemic is here also, right now, throughout the UK but the broadcasters (‘envies of the World’) will not tell the public. There’s only one answer to all this.

Toady this morning featured a Childrens Commissioner for England.
700,000 children are ‘vulnerable’ but for once the Toady interviewer asked for a definition.. the definition turned out to be something like ‘having a tough time’.
Then we heard that this number is the ‘tip of the iceberg’ since much abuse goes unreported (Rochdale? Rotherham?)
I believe an iceberg is 90% underwater, so on that account we have 7 million children vulnerable.
In a population of 65 million with a life expectancy of 80 we might conclude there are about 13 million children in the country, so logically, by the output of this interview, over half of all children in the country are ‘vulnerable’
If ever there was an example of the bBBC uncritically allowing do-gooders a free hand to justify their existence by exaggeration of the group size of the special interst group in question this was surely it .
And, just to add to comments from Peter T above, I am pretty sure said children’s commissioner blamed Brexit for lack of focus on this issue.

So what do we want? Someone who can delve into the complexities of fire regulations, testing, and directives plus building regulations and then draw conclusions and make recommendations to prevent a recurrence of the tragedy? Or someone who can hold hands and light candles?

Text-book bias from BBC on Today programme this morning on the Grenfell Tower tragedy. First, their old trick that they use all the time: the Leader of the Council was not available for interview, so they interviewed the Labour MP instead. No, BBC: Ministers, Council Leaders etc are not always available at the drop of a hat, they actually have things to do, but that does not absolve you of your responsibility for finding someone who will defend their case. The interviewer led the questioning all the way without challenging the MP. Disgraceful.

The final discussion was about the choice of judge, where the interviewer did put up a feeble defence. The MP wanted someone who would show “empathy” with local residents. That might be nice, but what we actually want is someone who is fully competent to untangle the complex chain of events to determine the cause(s) of the fire, so that any repetition can be avoided, to determine who sanctioned whatever it was that caused it, and whether culpable negligence (or worse) was involved that would warrant criminal proceedings. Not some kangaroo court that would identify a scapegoat to satisfy left-wing lynch mobs.

Re the Rochdale abuse prog last night, I took away a number of conclusions:

    1. The BBC effectively did bugger all to report the facts let alone “explain” what was happening over the 20+ years of these scandals;
    2. Andrew Norfolk walked away from reporting the scandals early on only because he considered it would give credibility to the BNP and EDL (ie f*** the victims, the BNP might get another 3 votes). Mind you credit to him and the Times for the eventual coverage.
    3. Clips on the programme in respect of EDL demos gave the impression that it was the EDL who were giving the police grief. There was no mention of the antifa scum who attempted to derail – actually derailed – the (lawful) demos
    4. The dildo Heywood who was exposed as doing absolutely nothing over, what, 10-15 years still has his job as a senior policeman
    5. Few (no?) names were named concerning the higher reaches of the council bureaucracies and councils themselves who were responsible for suppressing news and any action concerning the scandals
    6. Nazir Afsal (then head of CPS North West who authorised prosecutions) agreed with one of the perps that it was really whitey’s fault. Although, the “whitey” NA was referring to was “official” whitey: so a nice bit of hand-waving and general smearing. Also a little bit of taqqiya there as NA denied that what the perps did was any part of Islam conveniently forgetting Islam’s institionalised misogyny and contempt for kuffars
    7. The programme noted Nick Griffin’s arrest and prosecution for inciting racism but failed to mention that he was acquitted.
    8. The impotence of individual MPs (cf Ann Cryer) when “official” Britain refuses to do or admit anything.

There’s more, but this was the least the BBC could get away with. Labour, of course, gets off more or less scot-free (although Blair received a – very – light kicking) since most (all?) the local authorities involved were/are Labour run. Luckily Anne Cryer was a Labour MP so given – deservedly – full credit for her efforts (and, as it happened, failure). Had she been a Conservative . . . . . .?

let be quite honest if it wasn’t for the BNP and the EDL we would still be in the dark , and in all reality as Nazir Afsal admits we havent even scratched the surface yet.

They avoided the “I” word but they couldnt avoid the “paki” word

They managed to avoid the angry voices of the BNP,EDL and the Sikh community

No mention of cancelled tv programs

and frankly no no no , NO credit to Andrew Norfolk he let it happen for 7 years until it started to surface, and then saw the opportunity to make a name for himself without having to take the risk of being the first “credible” person to raise it publicly , if a couple of small scale cases hadn’t made it to court he would happily have let it continue, he’s a cunt and a coward

Nick Griffin may have been trying to make political capital but it WAS the “TRUTH” , and there is still no recognition that the EDL far right or not was made up of all colours and religions.

This was a brown wash they all thought they could bury it and they are still trying to minimise it

The building owners should have right of access to check the apartments at regular intervals. Was this exercised?

Also people need to understand what to do in the event of a fire.
So the council’s immediate duty is to visit each flat – record the numbers in the flat – ask each tenant if they know how to escape (without being prompted by other family members) and then report back noting any breaches of fire regulations (blocking exits, doors not opening, piling flammable items etc). Then give the tenants time to comply to the law of the land.

Mekharena, an Eritrean, came to Latvia from Italy a year ago. Reaching Europe was an odyssey – he came via Uganda, Ethiopia, Israel and Egypt. He only learnt he was going to Latvia a day before his flight. He was not allowed to choose the destination himself, and was not happy about it. “There are lots of Eritreans everywhere in Europe. They talk to one another. We all know that in Germany they give you an apartment and €400 (£439; $568) pocket money. But in Latvia they don’t give us anything – just €139 a month,” he told BBC ….Once granted asylum, a refugee can travel freely within the EU and join friends and family in Western Europe – and the Baltic countries have fulfilled their obligations under the EU quota scheme.Mekharena has been in Latvia for almost a year. Friends are still helping him to pay the rent and now he hopes to find a job. “I have a higher degree in engineering, but I’ll be doing manual labour on a building site. I hope it will work out,” he says. He would like to join his family in London, but is in no rush to go as he does not think he will be able to find a job legally outside Latvia.

      Stew,
I actually read about this from the Yorkshire post. and they reported this a lot differently:
So where the bBC wrote this:
“Some teachers in England have expressed concern about a law requiring them to report pupils who show signs of being drawn into violent extremism.”

The Yorkshire post reported it as:
“It found that, in general, there was no widespread opposition to Prevent, with staff feeling confident about their responsibilities to refer any concerns, understanding it is part of school or college safeguarding duties.”

      Where the bBC wrote this:
“The teaching of fundamental British values was also questioned and, in particular, the labelling of these values as “British”. “Linking the duty to the promotion of ‘fundamental British values’ – and, in particular, the pressure on schools and colleges to emphasise the ‘Britishness’ of these values – is often seen as more problematic, both hampering effective curriculum work around shared values and democratic citizenship,” the report said.”

The Yorkshire Post reported it as:
“It also reveals there is “discomfort” about the requirement to promote fundamental British values, such as tolerance and democracy, particularly the labelling of these values as “British”.

Strange how the bBC version of events is much more polarised than as reported in Yorkshire or even Coventry which is where the reports were based.

“Leading a Commons debate on theme park safety, Leicester East Labour MP Keith Vaz said changes needed to be made”.

    Terrible event, a tragedy
    “sucked under the water” ?
Why a picture of a girl little more than a toddler? … yet already, her hair covered
    Why no other picture?
Was it a long, tightly pinned hijab? … on the day?, of course its a possibility the girl couldn t swim either.

Because If it is so, as a safety issue tightly pinned, long hijabs, in fact all headscarves should be removed before boarding rides, as they all have moving chains and wheels.

      * other reports say she was possibly swapping seats
      * how many times has someone been thrown out when sat down in the their seat?
      * there is a report of a boy being thrown out prior to this incident – was he standing up?
      * I imagine there is CCTV footage which answers these questions straight away

The six-seater Splash Canyon (Drayton Manor) rafts do not have seat belts but advise riders to stay seated and hold onto a circular rail in the centre.

Then I checked Keith Vaz and he did really well in the Leicester East UK General Election June 2017.
      ** Keith Vaz(Labour@67%); Votes 35,116; 67%; Change +5.9% **

It get’s better, on Nov16 he was going to tackle corruption in the the UK!
“Keith Vaz has been appointed to a parliamentary committee preparing a new law to tackle corruption and money laundering. The Leicester East MP is currently under investigation by the Metropolitan Police … ”

“Keith Vaz (67% voters for Labour in GE17), the senior Labour backbencher, claimed more than £75,500 in expenses for a flat in Westminster despite his family home being a £1.15 million house just 12 miles from parliament.”
“Mr Vaz’s claims have always been in accordance with the spirit and rules of the Green Book,” – Reported 9 May 2009.

And he is still an MP and Won 67% of his constituency, surely, someone who could potentially be blackmailed easily or potentially led to corruption easily or potentially associates with criminals is not the best person to be a UK MP with such powers?

That Keith Vaz is still a member of Parliament is a tribute to how debased our media (notably the BBC, due to its massive market share) have become. A properly functioning media would have hounded him from office and made certain that he would have faced prosecution – on several charges.

I want to know where the line is drawn in this shouty slogan? What is the definition of the few?
Once that is drawn then we can see how many of the political class fall into the group of MANY and FEW.
Is it owning MANY houses (5) like MP Keith Vaz?
Is it having MANY jobs (3) like MP George Osbourne did for while?
Is it Theresa May with her MANY pairs of shoes?
Is it being caught with MANY expense scandal claims (circa 2009)?

This “Many/Few” strap line should have been ripped to shreds on day one and then discussed.

Comrades! En Marche! “On the Move”! Now ask where France is moving to as they sign in a president who replaces the French Anthem with “Ode to Joy” (She gave us kisses and the fruit of the vine).

..Some lines from that long long Lord Hall article.

The News Quiz: ‘One of my must-listen-to programmes each week – 6.30 on a Friday.
..Wow!’ Tweet of the Day: ‘I love Tweet of the Day’. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the Bafta-award-winning star of the comedy Fleabag: ‘Amazing!’

The previous evening, … He had watched Broken, the Jimmy McGovern series about a Catholic priest – ‘terrific!’ – .. then the 10 o’clock news, followed by Newsnight, then he caught up with Start the Week on the radio.

And yet Tony Hall, by general consensus, has been an outstanding success.
When he took on the job of DG in April 2013, the BBC was in the throes of its worst crisis in years, under attack for poor management and catastrophic editorial decisions, and embroiled in three separate enquiries into the Savile scandal.

“They have ..another house in Tuscany.”

Three Girls, a drama about the Rochdale child sex-abuse ring
(‘Did you see it?’ he asks, gesticulating excitedly. ‘Ai-yai-yai…’).
[…. Sounds like it was a surprise to him ]

      At the BBC
‘There’s not a crisis every day now,’ he says.

\\ A rule of thumb is that if you’re being kicked from both sides you’re probably doing something right,

A rule of thumb is that if you’re being kicked from both sides you’re probably doing something right…

This is a standard BBC defence but it isn’t really an example of the ‘balance fallacy’, rather it goes something like:
Side A: “Why don’t you realise that Corbyn is the new messiah and can do no wrong? Biased BBC!”
Side B: “Corbyn, Corbyn, Corbyn! Is there no other politician in your world? Biased BBC!”
BBC: “We get complaints from ‘both sides’ so we must have got the balance ‘just about right’.”

In other words the ‘debate’ in the BBC’s eyes is how ‘left’ they should be, the idea that there might be any other opinion is supressed. Yet again the ‘battle’ is being fought on the grounds of the international collectivists choosing. There is an urgent need to make the case for individualism and rationality, a case that is never heard on the BBC and a case that is apparently unknown to all the UK main political parties.

      G,
As Enoch Powell said, we must be mad, literally mad , to continue to take more and more of these aliens. The Australian court has just stated that there are cultural differences which give rise to rape of white girls going about in bikinis . So presumably this judgement has set a precedent which means that Muslims in Australia are allowed to rape girls in bikinis without any fear of a prison sentence. Where does the learned judge think this will end up? obviously in mass rapes because the perpetrators have in effect been given the green light owing to their cultural differences from the rest of Australian men. This is a scarcely believable turn of events. Yet what is even more astonishing is that after the courts have made it clear that there are massive problems attached to this clash of cultures, the liberal left want to import even more of these aliens. As you say the liberal West has gone mad.

You are certainly correct that the law will be used to severely punish any Australian who used physical force to protect.an attempted rape victim, even if by doing so they saved the woman concerned. In the UK the law will be used against you if you refuse to sit next to one of these aliens on a train , or give them a meaningful look , in fact the law will be used against you based on no more evidence than the aliens accusation. The only way that integration will happen is if the West submits to Islam and our craven politicians are already lay the ground work for that.
