OPEN THREAD….

Sorry for the delay, but here you go. If you think Jon Snow “F**k the Tories” was bad, the BBC do it 24/7, but just that bit more subtly! Detail the bias here!

The government is to end an arrangement that allows other countries to fish in UK waters, it has been announced.
Of course, all UK fishermen are delighted, as are most of the indigenous UK population.
However the BBC always manage to find some lefty snowflake to put a damper on it.
Will McCallum, Greenpeace UK head of oceans, calling it an “aggressive tactic”

      Typical BBC liars.
BH this morning had a Scottish Brexit fisherman who was pleased about our “getting our waters back”.
Paddy would not have been pleased, but he`d met him before.
And-in the cause of balance no doubt-he also had an Irish fisherman on to follow. Surely HE`D tow the BBC Remoaner line for them. Wouldn`t he?
      Well…no.
Our Irish lad thought it wouldn`t be easy-fish spawning grounds and migrations not yet shackled by Schengen etc-but he ENVIED our British fishermen, we`d have some say at last and not be hoover factories for the Spanish and the French.
      As opposed to the Irish.
Oh dear-Paddy was not happy, I`m sure.
One more BBC intern and researcher now available at the Chelsea Job Centre Plus Plus tomorrow morning.

This is the scrapping of the London Fisheries Convention of 1964 which Fishing for Leave and others have been lobbying for since the referendum. This was an historical agreement which allowed EU vessels to fish British waters between 6 and 12 miles from shore. The Convention pre-dated Britain’s EU membership and would have still applied after our withdrawal from the EU.

      http://ffl.org.uk/govt-finally-scraps-london-convention/
“Giving the 2 years notice to scrap this Convention was one of the first tests of the Government’s resolve and commitment on Brexit and was necessary to avoid diplomatically damage and legal challenges over continued EU access to our fishing waters.
This is a first small step of an acid tests of Brexit and we hope the government can push on with the golden opportunity of regaining all our 200 mile/midline EEZ and a £6.3bn industry which can be a beacon of success for Brexit.”

FFS Greenpeace know all about aggressive tactics
..Ask the Lancashire businesses that dared to try to business with with fracking corps ..and then get harassed, for that.
.. Greenpeace famous for sending “we know where you live letters”
..Same Greenpeace that use their dingy to buzz Russian oil workeers trying to board their Arctic rig, scaring them and causing them to open fire over Greenpeaces heads..and thus Greenpeace lot got to spend time in the Russian jail.

Dingaling ! the fallacy of Science by Press Release …

Seems to me Tom is trying to build a narrative that the science is all over
I’ve no doubt that that trick originates with the greenNGO mates the BBC cutNpaste their science from

Of course you don’t have a “science-RESULT” after one set of studies
#1 need time to REVIEW this ONE set
#2 Science is done by multiple/independent/replication
Only then is there a Science-Result

Sulphuric acid rain, runaway temperatures, a plague of locusts, and more. And it is all Trump’s fault says Stephen Hawkings, the cleverest man in the world.

I just watched his video. How do we know it is him that was speaking? Could be an actor or a computer voice. And did he offer proof? Poor scientist eh.

Meanwhile, time to hand his voice box to the Israeli scientists who produced the software. As he wants a boycott of Israeli products perhaps he is now using an Arab speech box with a BBC recorded message

I think they should change his speech box to a different accent, a Geordie one for example.
You can do it with satnav.
It would make his pronouncements more fun to listen to.
Maybe he could have a change every month, Birmingham then Cockney and some kind of Spike Milligan Pakistani or Jim Davidson West Indian.
I would be much more interested in what he’s saying if they made it more fun.

Your point that it might not be him we hear has possibilities too.
He could be going potty in there listening to what someone else has typed in when maybe he’s against all this global warming tax raising excuse.
For all we know Stevie may be one of us but is being controlled by someone else.
Maybe the Russians have ‘hacked’ him.

Rochdale grooming prosecutor Nazir Afzal calls on Muslims to ‘stop blaming the victims of child sex abuse’

An important speech by the head of the CPS in the North West, but it appeared in the Daily Mail, and it isn’t what the BBC want the public to hear so it hasn’t bothered reporting it.

“Writing for the Mail on Sunday Mr Afzal said: “There are parts of our country now where violent misogyny is equally accepted and even celebrated. What worries me is that these are largely Asian areas with little appetite in the community to do anything about it.

“There’s no escaping the fact that Asian and Pakistani men are disproportionately involved in localised street grooming of vulnerable young girls. Our jails are filling up with Muslim prisoners and yet the crimes they’re committing have become a taboo subject.”

Mr Afzal says he has tried to engage with Muslim audiences to talk about how to deal with these crimes, but doing so is ‘frustratingly difficult’.

He added that there is ‘sterling work’ being carried out in the Asian community to challenge misogynistic views, ‘but too frequently those groups making a real difference exist without much support from the wider community’.

“So-called Muslim community leaders would prefer these issues were ignored,” he said.

“It sickens me that there are people in the Asian community who don’t want women to be empowered, they don’t want women to support each other and would prefer women to be oppressed and do what men want them to do,” he said.

“Forcing the Muslim community to do more to deal with these problems as to be the starting point to drove grooming gangs out of existence.”

It’s what many of us have been saying for years, but the Fascist (il)liberal Left have stuck their collective fingers in their ears and are shouting LA LA LA very loudly.

This article is an example of pure sensationalist journalism and a complete waste of taxpayers money. Plus it was third article on the web main page.
Vagina surgery ‘sought by girls as young as nine’
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-40410459
The only purpose it should serve is to highlight the money wasting tendencies of the nhs. Questions they don’t ask – how do these girls know what their vaginas look like? Also, as a biologist, I think the terminology is incorrect, and they actually mean vulvae, but they probably don’t like that word as much.
Perverts and paedophiles springs to mind.

All part of the islamification of Britain.
      a) Call Islam – Peace
      b) Call Female Genital Mutilation – Labiaplasty – and get it performed on the NHS. According to the BBC there has been a surge of pre-teenage girls demanding “labiaplasty”. This is a hard sell story of the BBC as they have headlined it on the BBC homepage, the BBC news homepage, and the BBC UK news homepage.

You have to admire the BBC’s persistence, they never miss an opportunity to push their agenda

In a week where the BBC is Wimbledon-obsessed our Carol Kirkwood is sent down to SW19 to…. plug climate alarmism…. she reminisces about 2015 when apparently some record temperature was set for a Wednesday on Centre Court or somesuch.

Stephen Hawking is celebrating his birthday and BBC chap Pallab Ghosh has a chance to ask the great theoretical physicist and cosmologist a couple of questions… “What do you think of Brexit?” “What do you think about President Trump pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement?”

    Relentless.

And do you think the BBC would have asked Hawking these questions which are outside of his field of expertise had they not approved his answers – indeed do you think they would have bothered to broadcast his answer had he not supported their approved narratives?

    Revolt of the drones ?

Credit where credit is due, our lanky sofa jockey Dan Walker braves a storm of righteous lefty counterblast as he mildly suggests that those commentators acusing Donald Trump of ‘inciting violance against the press’ with his jokey WWF clip are perhaps experiencing a ‘sense of humour failure’.

Our Dan becomes almost herioc for a second as he goes on to expose the double standards involved in this current outrage as those same partisan commenters defended Kathy Griffin’s anti-Trump severed head photos.

Louise Munchkin’s face was a picture as she squirmed in response to Dan’s small moment of rebellion.

Careful, Dan. If a sofa eunuch shows too much cojones they’ll cut them off for real
