Funnily enough I never begrudge these people their money.
If people are willing to spend money to join the herd at the O2, to get the same old stuff then, he`s perfectly entitled to coin it in.
That said, I did hear him recently laying into the Tories and Cameron when he was invited to no 10.
How the audience roared at his chippy scouse warrior blather, sticking it to the chinless toff in his house in London.
That none of it was funny is neither here nor there-the pose and posture trumped any effort at comedy in his MancLanc lair.
    No-on second thoughts,stuff him…a fake now he`s loaded.
But there`ll be no jokes about this from serial failures like Punt and Dennis…and the likes of Hardy can only shed bitter tears at somebody who is funny and who doesn`t necessarily need the BBC to buy his castles.
Is there a “comics complaint” called McIntyre envy?
BBC palsy seems contagious-any comedian needs to get out of there…or else they`ll be left with tired Savile impressions like Dennis` being binned on a whim…Showaddytwaddy.
One of DLTs staging posts I belive?

      Oh Albie…YOU again.
You can see the point surely?
Millionaire comedians flutter tail feathers in the face of fellow rich posh boys…dodge their taxes, employ zero-hour labour….and all claim to scorn the Tories, and plead that we all pay taxes, soak the rich and -all of it broadcast to braying hypocrites who ALSO send their kids to private school, whilst trashing Michael Gove!
Labour/BBC/Guardians dirty little secrets…hypocrisy, surely Albie?
      Look it up-THAT`S the point.
I`ve no objection to Bishop-but to play the Tribunista from such a gaff?…very Prescott/Dorneywood eh?

ChrisH I couldn’t have said it better myself. The reason why i dislike these types of lefties is because they are so vocal in their hatred of the rich when that is exactly what they are themselves. Just like polly Champagne Socalists are scum

Indeed the hypocrisy of the champagne socialists, is of a higher order then that of avowed capitalists.

Worse still is that these rich champagne socialists acquired their lolly via government contracts, CEO’s with large remuneration packages of quangos set up by the last Labour government, or from the BBC.

Far worse still is the sanctimonius way that these rich champagne socialists flaunt their “righteousness”.

At least the capitalists make no bones of acquiring wealth.

Yes, he`s a decent bloke and deserves his reward.
Like Rick Parfitt , Wakeman, Rod or Elt….none of us would really begrudge a lad or lass doing well out of the God given talent they have.
But it`s that-“when you go up the greasy pole enough to merit a visit from the Guardian” bit that gets me.
If Bishop hadn`t ripped into Camerons invite to attend an award for his “Comic Relief” stunts?…on stage, filmed and put out on the BBC at Christmas?…then I`d not have known, not have cared.
But his creeping up to the liberal elites at the BBC and the broadsheets from his well-padded stage in Liverpool got up my nose!
Pawned, bought, owned by them now….now he`s made his money!
The downward slope beckons-call it the Connolly gradient curve…
Always feel this lot would have laughed and played pretty flutes for the KinderTransport!….that`s why I loath them.

I never found Russell Brand in the slightest bit funny as a stand-up, but love his new sketch comedy style, especially that new character – the politically naive, economically illiterate, 17 year old art student.
    Hilarious!
