Just What Is It About Mehdi Hasan…..?

Can someone explain to me exactly what it is that the BBC finds so compelling about Mehdi Hasan?

Because the more you see of the real Mehdi Hasan, the Islamic preacherman, the less there is that could surely justify the BBC’s elevation of him to the position of authoritative, credible and ethical spokesman for Muslims.

We looked a while back at the two sides of Mehdi Hasan, his slick Western suited, self proclaimed secular,  progressive side…and his Muslim, and presumably real, side….but there’s more…

Trending Central has dug up yet another piece of evidence that suggests the BBC Mehdi Hasan isn’t being honest with us:

Hasan is having a rant, and it is a rant, about a Caliph who has apparently transgressed against Islam…he is a homosexual, a dog lover and a music lover…..

‘….but the fact is, and this is important, Yazid was not simply a Fasiq (transgressor) he was an out and out Kafir!’

A homosexual, a dog lover and a music lover…all apparently fail to get Hasan’s approval.

The BBC would almost shut down without a mix of those three.

But what about the Kafir eh?

There’s a ‘transgressor‘…and then, according to Hasan there’s ‘an out and out Kafir’

Kind of tells you all you want to know, if you didn’t know already, exactly what Hasan thinks of the non-Muslim….the lowest of the low…..why is that not considered hate speech just because it  has its origin in a religious text?

And yet the BBC court’s him and gives him pride of place on their programmes.

When he propagates hate and division, sanctifying it as the word of God, is he in reality any different to Nick Griffin?…what if Griffin wrapped up his racism with words from the Bible…would he suddenly find himself on the speed dial?

Perhaps the BBC should look a bit more closely at the ‘sainted’ Mehdi Hasan.

Hassan is hardly rational when it comes to Islam…..In line with the BBC and militant left, to be honest..

And yet he’s so passionate about it.

I think he is just a slimeball that practices Taqiyya, in other words a two faced scumbag. If non Muslims said half the stuff he gets away with we would be arrested, but in his case he gets a BBC contract.

Al JaBeeBa loves him firstly because he hates the Right almost as much as they do. Secondly he is a Muslim.

Consequently they can forgive him anything else.

While all of that may be true, this arsehole is also the darling of ITV’s morning output. I am not able to figure it out either, but he appears to deliver just what they want.

There’s always been a labour supporting element to the ITV breakfast schedules.

GMTV was run by Martin Frizell, who is married to Fiona Phillips – both big Labour supporters, as is Lorrainne Kelly. Kate Garroway is married to Dolly Draper. Gloria De Pierto was a reporter until she left to become a Labour MP.

Most of the GMTV crew managed to get transplanted to it’s replacement Daybreak, which is unusal as GMTV was scrapped due to falling ratings. Why scrap a format but keep the presenters? Surely they are also part of the problem?

Sounds like quite the ‘herd’ (mot du jour for energy companies but not broadcast types) mentality.
Maybe its the market rate cunning plan to keep the artificial talent caps high by all of them being basically utter dross?

‘suddenly find himself on the speed dial?’
It has become clear that the iPhone address books of any BBC Producer, Editor, researcher or one of their 8,000 cubicle warriors of the truth appear to come programmed with a very limited number of addressees, and are then locked shut to just them.
Frankly it’s probably great that the BBC alternates him with Sunny, Polly and Penny, as every time these haranguers get an outing they just drill another hole below the waterline in Aunty’s leaky tub.
Though I do agree, the BBC’s shameless inability to correctly contextualise their favoured ‘speaking for the nation’ sons and daughters does make this insidious process covert and hence still dangerous.
Maybe MPs like Mr. Carswell, Cairns, etc, and committees like the the Plurality and Charter Reviews need such things running past them a bit more?

this is from al Jazeera, from al bbc s favourite islamist

    another classic
“let me deal – again! – with those damned “quotes”.
Did I, invoking a verse from the Quran, refer to unthinking, incurious non-Muslims as “cattle”? Yes but – and here’s where context? … 😀 matters! –
If you listen to the full speech, you’ll hear me refer to unthinking, incurious Muslims as “cattle” too (“We are the cattle that Allah condemns in the Quran,”.
Then there’s the quote in which I seem???? to refer to non-Muslims as “animals, bending any rule to fulfil any desire”. Again, I was quoting from the Quran and, in fact, if you listen to the full speech, it is very clear that I was referring to those human beings???, both Muslims and non-Muslims, who live their lives without a clear moral code, without an ability to distinguish between right and wrong.
In hindsight, I accept in this particular case that my phraseology was ill-judged”

hmmm an unhealthy slice of Taqiya, with a dab of Kitman thrown in …
Sheesh! that Quran eh! … what a problematic book, just keeps making people lie and lie again,
    examples.

Claimed to be quoting Quran ran in his Puff-Ho article (Lee Rigby’s murder) – In truth, he was deliberately misquoting it ( Surra 5:32) to deceive people into believing that Islam is against such murders – when in its entirety, that verse is ascribed to Jewish people, and (5:33) ascribed to Muslim people, and does indeed justify the murder, crucifixion and mutilation of people like just Lee Rigby.

    5.32 –
Because of that, We decreed upon the … CHILDREN OF ISRAEL … that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors – ie ascribed for Jewish people
    5.33 –
Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war AGAINST ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER, and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment – ie – ascribed for Muslim people

hmmm Mr Hasan loves to blast out from his pulpit, surely he should know these verses?
Well shouldn t he, he loves to pull people up for being ignorant of Islam, ad nauseum?
Maybe he just got a little mixed up, or is just another apologist islamist.

They must be worried about what he (Griffin) would say. If he was as bad as they constantly imply, putting him on air would give him the rope to hang himself and they would allow him to do so. Clearly they don’t think that is what would happen. Thus their effective blacklisting of him says far more about them than it does about him.

You only have to compare their treatment of Sinn Fein with the BNP. How many people has Griffin killed?

you could be forgiven for thinking that video clip was from anjem choudary without his beard.i think medhi hassan should be hammered in the media for this in my opinion a blatant attempt to incite religious and racial hatred, but for some strange reason the bbc and question time wont give medhi hassan the same treament as the gave to nick griffin of the bnp.i think this guy should be exposed and brought to book and the next time he appears on question time or radio 5 live he should be reminded of what he said in that video clip and explain why he made them comments.in my view medhi hassan is just anjem choudary in a suit.

Stuart, this will not happen, the media will protect him. Best to hope for is for some in the QT audience to make utter nuisances of themselves by barracking him and dumbelby constantly, demanding a hearing and tell it like it is. Andrew Neil may get him one day, but he too may be scared off because of the ‘Hydra’ that is Islam.

Just because you don’t like what someone has said or done doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be on TV. If thatwas the way it worked, you’d have blank screens 24/7.

Can we also ban Mel Philips and David Vance from! the airwaves, I presume the same applies? Hopefully that will see an end to the posts about Medhi and that Al-batwan bloke.

    • richard D says:

It really is incredible that some posters seem to clearly miss the irony in criticising someone about their ‘obsession’, but indicate in their own posts that they basically obsessing about the person they are berating. Wonderful

And, just on a factual basis, where was the OP calling for any actual banning of someone from the airwaves ? Perhaps criticising the BBC for it’s obsessive ‘speed-dialling’ of certain favourites, despite their obvious hypocrisies on the subjects they are called upon to comment on.

And the day the BBC stops giving such blatantly biased and uncritical airtime to the likes of Mehdi Hasan, then we may actually see an end to posts about him. But I wouldn’t hold my breath on the BBC changing their ways.

        Quite the result.
Off now to check out some quite promising Graun outrage about FaceBook and how their novel multiples of standards reflect on those who do business with them… so the hopelessly now compromised BBC’s ‘take’ on this will be more than interesting.

Norman Tebbit’s on the speed dial, Anne Leslie, Peter Hitchens are on the speed dial too. Oh, and our very own David Vance.

Apparently the BBC is opposed to everything he stands for,he’s a vocal critic of the BBC, and yet they keep inviting him onto their programmes, and he’s never had an issue with his treatment, keeps accepting payment for his appearances, and yet no one takes issue with this?!?

        Now that really is hypocrisy!
