How the bBC when it finally got round to reporting the riots in Sweden muddied the water so you can’t point the finger of blame at the religion of peace rioters:

Riots grip Stockholm suburbs after police shooting
Rioters have lit fires and stoned emergency services in the suburbs of Stockholm for the third night in a row after a man was shot dead by police…Police in the deprived, largely immigrant suburb of Husby shot a man dead last week after he reportedly threatened to kill them with a machete. The founder of a local youth group told Swedish media the riots were a reaction to “police brutality”.

Ah, so according to the bBC, the riots are are a result of police brutality after they just went out of their way and slotted an innocent man who just happened to be inside his house using a knife in which to cook dinner.

Here is what the bBC doesn’t tell you about that shooting which transpired over a week ago.:
Stockholm man shot dead by police
Police fatally shot a 69-year-old man in an apartment in north Stockholm on Monday evening after responding to calls that a man armed with a machete was menacing the neighbourhood.Police were called to an address in the Husby district, north of central Stockholm, around 6pm on Monday following several reports that a knife-wielding man was roaming around the area. “He had a knife or a machete. When we arrived, this person disappeared into an apartment,” Stockholm police spokesman Lars Byström told the TT news agency. The man then stood on the balcony of the apartment and threatened police. “He screamed at police from the balcony that he wanted to kill them,” a neighbour told the Expressen newspaper. Negotiators were called in and police subsequently learned that a woman was also in the apartment. After negotiations failed to yield any results, police then decided to break down the door and storm the flat in hopes of securing the woman’s safety.”Then the person in question appeared holding a machete. Officers felt cornered and threw a flash grenade so they could overpower the man. That didn’t work either and they then felt forced to open fire,” said Byström.

Now It took me seconds to find this story , yet the bBC can’t instead they claim:
Police in the deprived, largely immigrant suburb of Husby shot a man dead last week after he reportedly threatened to kill them with a machete.

      From huff post

Two people have been shot in Woolwich, south east London, after armed police were called to an incident in which a man wearing a Help for Heroes t-shirt was attacked with a machete-style knife and dumped in the street, eyewitnesses said.

Pictures published on Twitter show what appears to be two uncovered bodies lying in the street. They are surrounded by members of the public and construction workers.

Other images show a red air ambulance landing in the street. Local newspaper The News Shopper is blogging about the incident and has reported eyewitnesses describing shots also being fired.

It quotes one eyewitness as saying: “I heard they were trying to behead someone and were shot by police.”

One witness, identified as James, said he and his partner saw two black men attack the young victim with knives, including a meat cleaver. “They were hacking at this poor guy, literally,” he told LBC. “They were hacking at him, chopping him, cutting him.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Officers have responded to an incident in John Wilson Street, Woolwich, SE18, at 14.20 today. We believe at this stage that officers were called to reports of an assault.”

St. Jon is just unhappy that the beautiful ideology is being ruined by a few bad apples. He doesn’t believe this is attached to the President in anyway, shape or form, and said the other day that he still believed in the government doing good works and helping people. They aren’t as angry at the very real political oppression that’s been going on as they are that this is fodder for the Tea Partiers they hate. It’s very clear when they keep bringing that up in their criticisms. In fact, he and the JournoListas now coordinating the media response are probably most upset that these IRS fools are hurting the President most of all.

It’s like when Left-wing luvvies had to accept that Stalin really did kill millions and that the Soviet Union wasn’t the workers’ paradise they believed it was. Ask any self-proclaimed Socialist or Communist you know, and they’ll tell you the ideology is great, thank you very much, it’s just never been done properly.

This latest IRS fiasco will be no different. It’s compounded by the fact that the IRS was already politicized, and previous Administrations have used it to go after opponents. I don’t expect St. Jon or any of the other liberal media elite will blame the President for it any time soon, or suggest that maybe the problem lies in giving the government so much power over people’s lives.

If you want to experience BBC bias on environmentalism in its purest form, look no further than its regular updates on fracking on North West News.

Today it was a report commissioned by Cuadrilla, which was very upbeat about the number of jobs the new industry could create. The BBC reporter had it out with the Cuadrilla chappie – ‘you’ve paid for the report so it’s bound to find in your favour’ (paraphrased) as well as the usual guff about how VERY (it’s gone up a notch) controversial the fracking process is blah blah blah.

By contrast the environmentalist woman was allowed to say how harmful fracking would be for the environment and there’s no need for it because the North West is ‘awash with renewable energy’. No questions asked, no challenge, no nothing.

So here, BBC, next time you interview one of these tree-hugging, economy-destroying, humanity-hating, swivel-eyed Marxist eco-loons, try asking them any of the following:

    1. What does ‘awash with renewable energy’ mean?
    2. What happens to our energy supplies when the wind isn’t blowing?
    3. Alternative to 2: isn’t renewable energy just a waste of time given we’ll need nuclear or fossil fuel power constantly on standby for when the wind isn’t blowing?
    4. If fracking is so dangerous, how come it’s use is so far advanced in the US that wholesale gas prices are now a third of what they used to be?
    5. If we adopt your renewable energy proposals, will you be prepared to take the blame when the lights start to go out in a few years time, take responsibility for the deaths which will inevitably occur and for the country ultimately crashing and burning?
    6. Why should we still be trying to reduce our CO2 emissions when the climate models have been proved completely wrong on the issue?
    7. What’s it like being a sanctimonious twat living in la-la land? (ok, no need for that one)

I await the next fracking feature with baited breath (not).

Ed Balls drops into the World at One studio today for another cosy little chat.

A new IMF* report expresses concerns that the UK might be a bit too heavy handed with the austerity malarkey and maybe should be stimulating growth with more capital projects (no mention that more capital spending = less on NHS, education, welfare etc – but never mind).

So here comes Blinky (again) getting a nice easy ride from Karney (I would guess he’d been promised one – his tone a lot calmer than usual), given lots of time and space to repeat ad nauseam how the Coalition doesn’t stand a chance of reducing the (his) deficit unless it fires up growth……and of course youth unemployment is a disgrace (but mysteriously no higher than under Labour)……repeated several times.

Trouble is, we never did find out about Balls’ magic formula for growth or reducing youth unemployment as he was never asked. In fact, he wasn’t asked anything other than for his opinions (read mantras), which we are already only too familiar with. So none of the ‘it’s easy to criticise the government, but what would YOU do about it’ we heard every time a shadow minister was interviewed during the Blair/Brown Terror.

    * Funny how the BBC never wonder why, if this lot are so effing brilliant, they haven’t written out individual recovery prescriptions for every failing economy in the world.

    • Umbongo says:

The BBC is trying to be subtle and sensitive here and fails at the first hurdle. The clue is using the word “men” as a descriptor for the probable perps. In reporting this type of situation “men” is almost always code for either “dusky hued, probably Moslem” or “black, probably gang members”. It’s not difficult to interpret but, more interestingly, you wonder why the BBC bothers. Nobody’s fooled for more than about 5 seconds and, come the reports later in the paper press and from other broadcasters, the cultural background of the alleged perps is disclosed anyway.

I’m all for the BBC being cautious and a person’s religion isn’t necessarily immediately identifiable so the silence is possibly justfied.

However note that the BBC happily gives out the gender and the ages of all three involved yet is as of this moment, entirely silent about race, something perhaps easier to determine than a persons’ age.

The BBC are therefore clearly withholding information and failing to report the news properly.

We are looking to the long term and how best to deal with the forces within our society that contribute to these kind of incidents. This we see predominantly as the BBC, which is why we invest so much time and energy in combating its bias and misinformation – to alert others so that they can be alert and mindful as well. If we fail to do this then we lose – simple as that. Ranting and raving is going to deter others from visiting the site and perhaps stop the message getting through. Hence my expression of caution.
I was also asking MSM outlets how it was that we were being served manifesto propaganda as ‘witness statements’ so quickly. Ch4 ran a tweet that frankly handed a megaphone to the perpetrator to shout his message out in sick complement to his actions.
This seemed to me to be playing straight into the hands of any who seek profile through shock value.
As to your Breivik comment, I understand the BBC is already into comparison and understanding motivation mode as only they can, and somehow feeling this is appropriate to raise.
I agree this is too typical and not going to serve them well.
However, as this whole thing seems to be seeing even the merest slip of the tongue pounced on, and even the most usually cautious making remarks that can inflame or be unjust, I take your point and to avoid expecting any to see any more of mine (or see any of mine make things worse) have decided to withdraw for now.
One thing is for sure, our media is not serving us well in such matters.

I was living in Brazil when Michael Jackson died. O Globo, and every other channel confirmed it. The BBC didn’t. I tuned in to 5live at the time (never again) Richard Bacon was aroused that this was happening on his shift.

My point is I’m glad that BBC wait before speculating. I would rather see the BBC crumble than for it to become The Daily Mail with moving pictures.

I’m with the US on the right to bear arms. WE must have the means to defend ourselves against these madmen who are declaring open warfare on us.
When will the politically correct empty minded blind fools who tell us they know best and we should all make allowances and live with alien cultures stop defending the indefensible and put the indigenous people first.
We will no doubt be told by the BBC and their allies ‘that it is an isolated incident and not representative blah, blah blah’. That our society is richer for being diverse etc, etc..
People have been forecasting this and been told they are extremists. Oh! Really? Are we the extremists?

    • David Preiser (USA) says:

Technically, originally, the right to bear arms was instilled in the Constitution with the idea of citizens having the right to defend themselves against tyranny (e.g. the government). The founders were under no illusion that the new country and system of government they were creating was going to be perfect and safe and nothing to worry about forever. Anyone who has a hard time imagining that and laughs at us for it need only look around at what’s going on today and do the math.

There was even concern about Washington turning tyrant/king early on. There’s also a bit preventing the government from commandeering somebody’s home and billeting troops there. It’s not really about defending against crime.

Of course, there is the very real concern that, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away, and we shouldn’t forget that.

It is about time there was a serious backlash against the Muslim leaders in this country. THEIR flocks are doing these things – and are planning scores or hundreds of attacks all the time. The Imam from Oxford spoke very fiercely last week about Muslims being in denial on Muslims grooming/sex-trafficking gangs. Where are the Imams who will denounce this atrocity from the rooftops ?

Will every mosque on Friday preach in absolute terms against terrorism ?

    Will pigs fly ?

Time we stopped being so squeamish about Muslim sensitivities. This stuff is in their communities, they need to be called out to stamp on it. Sod the PC nonsense the BBC is forever preaching at us.

And meanwhile – there should be an absolute stop on further immigration from Muslim countries, and a much more effective weeding out and deportation of all the illegal immigrants. And any young men choosing to go back to places like Somalia, or on tourist trips to Pakistan, should damn well stay there. Enough is enough.

And now starts the first questions about why the ‘men’ had to be shot.

Tonight and tomorrow the BBC will be in full blame mode. ‘Why were these men not known to the security services?’, will be where the BBC will be going with this.

Allahu Akbar doesn’t mean Allah is Great, in a ‘Isn’t ‘Allah and the Virgins of Paradise’ a great band’. It’s more like Allah is Greatest or Superior. And if you’re on the right side of the cockpit door, the one doing the shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ means that Allah is superior to your country and to you. And one of his followers is about to do his best to show you why.”

This cultural cancer can’t be hidden or excused any longer; there’s barely a day goes by without some ghastly revelation regarding members of this repulsive superstition.
I wonder if the UAF will have a demo about the Islamist fascism that is sweeping through Europe? No, maybe not…

The BBC at it’s most unbelievably useless.
This “incident” is reported to have occurred at 14:20BST.
At 18:52 ITV reveals that it has footage of a perpetrator saying: “”We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you.”
At 19:36 Frank Gardner is quoted as saying: “…there are still a lot of questions to be answered about the motivation behind the Woolwich attack.People should keep an open mind…”
I’m sitting here at 20:03BST and I am following @BOYADEE on twitter.
I – we – know more than the BBC does – or rather, more than the BBC is prepared to broadcast.
BOYADEE for head of news at the BBC! Right now he’s doing a better job than the whole lot of them put together.

He’s ‘just’ and eye witness but the BBC nor anyone else can prove or corroborate what he tweets, HOWEVER, ITV have had the film footage for hours and it is on dozens of sites so the BBC has no excuse.

And the Muslim Council of Britain knows more than the BBC does now, they’ve issued a statement saying ” “This is a truly barbaric act that has no basis in Islam and we condemn this unreservedly” .
Which they wouldn’t do unless they were convinced that the attack was perpetrated by… erm …er… I’m trying to guess…

Yes, utter crap! My point, not at all well made, is the speed at which comparatively cheap technology allows information to become widely available and, if you are a world class news organisation, to be collated and compared to other sources, something that the BBC with all its tax-payer funded budget seems incapable of delivering.
            Correction. For incapable, read unwilling.

Ah, see what you mean, yes, myself and DP and a few others have mentioned this before, and David has a extensive archive of the BBC on Twitter suddenly ahead of the game when it suits them.

‘Guardian’ frantically trying to relegate the Islamic jihad nature of the beheading of British soldier in London:

E.g. one of those headlines, beloved of INBBC, to disguise it-

“Man killed in deadly terror attack in London street”

    Omissions in above headline:-

    1.) there is no subject, no perpetrator;

    2.) ‘Man’ is British soldier;

    3.) ‘deadly attack’ is Islamic jihad;

    3.) the ‘deadly attack’ was a beheading;

4.) ‘in London street’ is excellent.

    Re-write:

‘Islamic jihadist beheads British soldier in London street’

Not sure this is a smiley face comment issue.
Especially if the perpetrator motivations were in any way connected with shortcomings in help to wounded veterans, which I doubt (but don’t know).
For sure the timing will not look good or help an entity with an already poor record in selection of subjects to inform and educate about, from a broadcaster whose coverage of matters military is at best obsessively often empathetic to all ‘sides’ to near propagandistic levels for some at times.
