BEING LYSE DOUCHET…

I am told that..AHEM… Biased BBC favourite (!) Lyse Doucet was on the BBC today claiming that “Jordan has taken millions of Palestinians in the past”  The actual number I am reliably advised is 800k, max. Could she be making it up as she goes?

Would that be the very same Jordan which when it was formed kicked out every jew. (Written in the constitution) and then did likewise with the PLO and their supporters after Black September.

How many Pals did they kill that year? Well put it this way, more than what Syria has seen killed.

I think she’s just confused by the fact that many Palestinians used to be Jordanians before Jordan refused to play nice.

Jeremy Jacobs, who raised the point, has asked me to whom he should complain. Anyone got the specifics?

Slightly OT, but am I alone in thinking that Lyse Doucet’s accent is completely OTT ? I normally have absolutely no problem with any accent from anywhere, but her’s just appears to me to be so affected….

      No you are not alone!
What an odd way to speak?
Where do you get an accent like that?

Thank you for that information – a real accent, so I will have to revise my view.

There is, according to the BBC, but one portal to the Complaints Labyrinth. At least, for any from outside seeking to enter the hive. Oddly, this can then split internally a vast number of ways, all mostly contradictory but affording ample opportunity to feel comfy in rectitude or to allow two to point at each other and agree they cancel each other out in fining the BBC overall not responsible. It’s a ‘unique’ thing.
In this case it has good chance of getting all the way to ECU before they find in their favour again and further boost the 110% tractor stats on denied complaints. Choose the ‘inaccuracy’ option and challenge the facts, as claimed. Do not even hint at bias, as they will seize on this as a distraction to avoid the rest.
Let the impartial, professional Ms. D back up her claim. If wrong, she won’t, and a peon will eventually mutter back it was within parameters they are comfy with, but will be logged (not as a validated complaint, of course) in the Beware of the Leopard file they all ignore.
At the very least, always a hoot when shared here. They don’t like that.

There is a Palestinian state already, called Jordan. The fact that it’s run by a transplanted Saudi Arabian royal family is neither here nor there. The locals are Palestinians, that is, descendants of the Canaanite tribes who lived next door to the Jews at the time of Christ.
