FOR BETTER FOR WORSE

I love this one. According to BBC eco-warrior Matt McGrath, the number of mosquitoes is in sharp decline in parts of Africa because “climate change” has (without question) changed rainfall patterns and “disrupted” (poor darlings!) their breeding cycle. Could this be a cause for celebration – a positive outcome despite our wicked carbon dioxide emitting ways? Er, no. He’s dug out a quote from a gloom merchant who warns that children growing up in mosquito-free areas will suffer all the more in future epidemics when the blood suckers return. So to the BBC, “climate change” makes things worse even when it makes things better.

I note that Richard Black is back, and is adding to the BBC’s propaganda drive by the bucketload. I can’t face discussing the totally predictable drivel he has written about Arctic ice melting and climate change causing civil war. My conclusion? There is no climate change without Richard Black.

And no comments allowed either. I also see that Paul Hudson appears to be on an extended period of leave as his usually interesting blog has also had its comments turned off.

Is Paul Hudson a casualty of the BBC’s new approach to dealing with Mann Made Global Warming?

Or is he just on holiday? ๐Ÿ™‚

All this scaremongering is predicated on the basic false premise that the planet is cooking significantly, backed up by the second falsehood, that “all scientists agree it is so”. For this we have to thank a handful of academics making a career out of fiddling the numbers, and a much larger number of hangers on riding their coat-tails. Black is just a hack peddling alarm to order. It is his employer that is the heart of the problem.

    ‘patterns of rainfall….2004….2009…..’

As in so many such BBC reports what they really mean by ‘climate change’ is in fact….the weather!

“I had to take an umbrella with me in London yesterday and because I don’t today then climate change must be to blame”.

Well yes my statement is difficult to contradict – but due to the weasely interpolation of ‘climate change’ with ‘global warming’ a massive raft of politicaly motivated baggage is slipped under the radar.

The Majority of people do not beleive the climate change / global warming theory, yet they will tolerate the liberal elite using it as an excuse to make changes that they would not otherwise accept.  So the promotion of global warming has served it’s purpose.

Scooby doo, careful of falling into the trap! Everyone KNOWS there is climate change, it’s the how and the who we disagree with!

“Everyone KNOWS there is climate change”

Do you mean climate change or global warming ???

      • Span Ows says:

I mean climate change! Global warming was a scam that is proven folly so now the carbon trading green taxing freedom of speech crushing climate fascists now try to claim all “deniers” are denying climate change (when really we are all “denying” AGW)

Eh? where ha that post gone from scooby doo?

Anyway, mosquitoes are probably responsible for more human deaths than any other organism so good riddance!

    • The Cattle Prod of Destiny says:

Which book has been the cause of the most deaths since it was published?

      The Old Testament? No.
      The New Testament? No.
      The Koran? No.
      Das Capital? No.
      Mien Kamfp? No.

In fact this particular book is only ‘beaten’ by Mao’s ‘Little Red Book’ and has killed more people that all the above put together.

It is called ‘Silent Spring’ by Rachael Carson and was responsible for the birth of the Environmental movement and particularly was instumental in the banning of DDT …

I wish this lot of godless Chicken Lickens would just dust off a few “End of the World is Nigh” sandwich boards and clog the appoaches to the football ground, as was once traditional.
Or at least, go to the JWs or some other group that might keep them worried…any millenial cult would do!
I resent paying for their guilt spattered propaganda…and until a real scientist like Bellamy or Ball tells me to worry, that I shan`t!
    Craven by name…and by nature!
How can you stay too long as a childrens newsreader…and your carrer take a DIP after that?
    Such is the mystery….

  8. David Preiser (USA) says:

If the planet is warming due to horrible humans, and that’s what’s killing the mosquitos, why does Prof Meyrowitsch say he’s more worried about what will happen when the mosquito population rebounds?  If we believe Black and the Warmists at the BBC, the planet is currently heating up non-stop.  So how can the mosquitoes come back if that’s what’s killing them off?

Unless…..we’re now supposed to be worried that once the Warmists get their way and consumption and industry are drastically reduced to pre-Industrial Revolution levels, then the mosquitoes will return and all those un-exposed children will die?  So it’s scaremongering either way now or what?

Made me laugh Cassandra ๐Ÿ˜€ . It’s a war of attrition. The problem is that because the BBC is so powerful and infuential, we do not get a true messure of the dissonance and general disbelief.

People in the end get a feeling that something isn’t right and that they are being lied to. The BBC needs to be careful.

Later, when the politika pretends this never happened and tries to distract the proletariat with another chicken licken tale, let us not forget the names of those that perpetuated the crime of this heinous scam and hold them to account.

Let us write a list of names and their offensive and misleading propaganda.
