MR MILIBAND – WOULD YOU AGREE YOU ARE MARVELLOUS?

Anyone catch Ed Miliband being “interviewed” by Andrew Marr this morning? Talk about sycophantic indulgence! Red Ed was allowed to rewrite political and financial history and then lecture the Coalition on effective economic policy. Marr seemed unwilling to pursue ANY angle that would give Miliband discomfort and the body language between the two was fascinating, with Marr as the all to obvious supplicant. From what I saw, Marr was basically doing everything possible to portray Miliband as the next PM which I suppose is the prevailing BBC ideology.

And BBC-NUJ-Labour’s  K. SILVERTON continues the sycophancy of Labour’s E. Miliband on Radio 5, straight after  A. Marr”s Sunday morning worshipping.

After the rather uninspiring by-election win that no one cared about! old Marr-e eyes was hardly going to anything else but publicly  fondle Eddies ego I mean bringing up the speech Eddie made to the Fabians in which he said
‘The anti-cuts tactic was one of a series of ‘mistakes’, including the Iraq War and lack of bank regulation, which Mr Miliband owned up to’
It would have hurt Eds  feelings to point out he did sod all about any of it when in government for all those years!.

I heard Red Ed being interviewed by ‘war reporter (don’t laugh) Silverton. At the end she was talking to some other hack and they were asking why Red Ed didn’t come forward with his plans for cuts because all the ones he talked about supporting were basically Chickenfeed.

“Yes I wondered about that as well” spouts the ‘war reporter’.

WELL YOU WERE THE ONE WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO PIN HIM DOWN ON THAT SILVERTON YOU STUPID USELESS TWAT

Does anybody remember Conservative leaders of the opposition getting similar treatment?

Miliband did an awful lot of squirming and stuttering when posed with a potentially awkward question. This seemed to offer a signal for Marr to back off rather than go in for the kill and quite easily (IMO) make Miliband look like the clueless muppet he really is.

I reckon its worth a bet that Red Ed will not become prime minister- I feel he is a holding leader, and later he will be removed by the labour party in favour of his brother bananaman Dave- probably just before the next election to take advantage of any “honeymoon period”. Marr continually backed off as Ed squirmed under questioning.

The Other Miliband was getting a friendly if tongue-in-cheek plug over on Radio 4 at the same time as Marr.

Paddy O’Connell (on Broadcasting House): “Have you got a job for David Miliband? This remarkable politician, diplomat, teacher, TV presenter and sportsman is available for all kinds of work, including joining the board of Sunderland Football Club to teaching A-level politics. Mr Miliband’s many and various skills put us in mind of another English polymath, C.B. Fry. Mr Fry was a gifted teacher, broadcaster, diplomat and politician who also found time to play critic and football for England…So famous were his talents that they even led to the offer of the throne of Albania in the 1920s…We turned to Albania’s ambassador to the UK, Zef Mazi, to ask if there were any parallels with modern times.”

The genial Mr Mazi lavished praise on David Miliband: “He’s a very well-known figure. David Miliband has a very great reputation among Albanians.”

That’s pretty much as tough as Broadcasting House ever gets about the Labour Party, in office or out of office.

Norman Wisdom had a great reputation among Albanians too.  It shows that the Millibands are a pair of clowns.

As representatives of the politico-media establishment that has driven the UK to where it is in recent years despite the coalition blip (accepting pretty much the whole bunch there are nearly as dire), and examples of where ‘the elite’ feels ‘we’ need to be, Messrs Marr and Miliband are bookends to a very thin library of shabby, dire titles.

Beyond the clear lack of competence either demonstrates in their respective fields, we seem to be in an era where the dorks most deserving of swirlies have ended up in positions of relative ‘power’, if only by anyone worth a damn either being uninterested or shafted by such pond dwellers and their acolytes.

As for leadership,, if either one squeaked ‘follow me, chaps’, I’d be court-martialled before you could say ‘fragging losers’.

“.portray Miliband as the next PM” and so he will be. Why not he could do everything Cameron is doing but without the “cuts”. The ony difference between Labour and the Government is that Cameron wants to cut spending quickly and Labour doesn’t.

Labour got kicked out because people wanted a change. Where is that change? None on the EU, none on immigration, none on the rights for criminals ( a.k.a Human Rights). None on the state socialist broadcaster which should have been the first target of the “cuts”. None on free speech, very little on unelected quangos.

As for the bias I agree Milliband and his band of socialists will always have fawning interviews at the hands of their followers in the BBC. The only reason Cameron and his Lib Dems don’t is that they are associated with “tories” (in name only).

Without any reduction in the authoritarianism of the EU then nothing can be changed. Cameron has done a 180 degree turn since becoming the Conservative leader which shows what a whmp he really is. He does not want to stand up against the authoritarianism of the EU he wants to be part of it.

Why is it that no matter what these people say in opposition about the EU they always change their mind AFTER they have been elected? I know when a politician lies- his lips move. So does it really matter if we have a socialist or a wet liberal “running” the country?

Marr’s body language is always interesting David. He tends to be relaxed with Labour politicians, sitting back and using restrained hand gestures. With Conservative politicians he tends to lean forwards and his hands start flying about and thrusting like a deranged conductor (as with last week’s interview with David Cameron). He seemed more tense that usual today, perhaps worried his boy would mess up.

Yes agree Craig, he is always more at ease when he interviews his beloved Labour boys, oh also I think Millipede sounds like Sylvester the cartoon cat when he speaks.

The value of interviews as a measure of anything, especial truth, laid bare.

perhaps explained in part, by the competence, if not partiality, of the new crop of ‘interviewers’.
