The Palestinian Solidarity Campaign has set about summoning the masses to rise up in anger in the form of an Action Alert about the Panorama programme ‘Death on the Med’.

Revised: ‘Death on the Med’ – taking your complaint to the BBC further
Following feedback from members to our email ‘Death on the Med – The Next Steps’; we encourage you to write back to the BBC and go through the three stages mentioned below. (Ofcom has written to members saying it is unable to hold the BBC accountable on issues of ‘accuracy and impartiality’).

With admirable efficiency they have compiled a step-by-step guide about how to complain about the BBC’s complaints procedure which up to now hasn’t been very responsive to their original objections. Deepest sympathy about that.

The PSC appears to be primarily concerned with a multitude of omissions from the programme, so most of the instructions headed ‘points to make during the complaints process’ begin: “no mention of this, no mention of that, and no mention of the other.

However they provide little or no answers for the points that were made, so we’ll wait and see how steadfast the BBC will be in their resistance to this concerted and efficiently orchestrated lobbying onslaught.
Let’s hope the BBC is as intransigent with their allegations of bias as they invariably are with ours.

As some of us have been haphazardly complaining about the BBC’s 60-year campaign to delegitimise Israel for about 60 years, if the BBC caves in under pressure from the PSC, perhaps we can take a leaf out of their book and learn a thing or two about how to organise ourselves. Or, if they stand firm, even if only for disingenuous evidence of impartiality, we can take comfort from the fact that their charter does at least still oblige them to attempt that.

The irony being that for so long the PSC and its ilk has it all its own way with the media. The first sign of the truth and they respond with mass apoplexy. Funnily enough, we know how they feel.

BBC, if you’re out there, don’t let it get to you!

Considering lots of Beeboids protested internally against the BBC bosses’ decision not to show that Gaza propaganda film, you can expect plenty of Beeboids to support this new cause any way they possibly can.  The protests will be overt and covert.

Yes,  but they’ve got their whole careers to make up for it. Just think of all the extra Israel-bashing time they’ve got in hand if they stand their ground.

Don’t cave in prematurely Beeboids; lie back and think of Ismail Haniya.

I have to admit, I was so surprised by the panorama documentary. I was tempted not to watch it, thinking it would be the usual Israel bashing the BBC love so much, but almost fell off my chair at the lack of bias it showed. It was not as some have stated a pro-Israel film, rather it was a pretty balanced look at the situation. The obvious problem for this lot is that it was NOT the usual Israel bashing they are used to.
Of course, these people do not care for the palestinian people, they only care about demonisation of Israel.

I was gobsmacked at the apparrent lack of anti Israeli bias in the programme, and not too surprised to see the commie rag ‘Morning Star’ on sale outside Upton Park yesterday proclaiming how the BBC is an Israeli propaganda unit!

However, I still smell a rat here, and I think it is in tying Cameron to the Turkish government and therefore to ‘terrorist’ activities. The Turkish element to all this is clear to anyone with an objective view, but the BBC are only now highlighting this. Why the sudden change of direction?

Every now and then, reality forces the BBC to admit things they’ve been hiding, or change their angle from what they were trying to push.  This is one of those cases.  The reality of the videos and the open admissions of people like Chuckles the Painted Sad Clown O’Keefe that they were armed and planned for violence forced the BBC to allow facts to come through that were in Israel’s favor.

Of course, that hasn’t stopped the BBC from allowing people to slander Israel on air if they feel like it, without challenge or correction, viz: Diane Abbott saying on air that Israel killed people in cold bold.

I think Jane Corbin has a mind of her own – and used it.  I suggested before the prograsmme that she might give a fair view.

She is not part of the Jeremy Bowen Middle East team.  But Corbin’s clear account of what happened is out of step with most BBC output.
