Surprise, Surprise……BBC is MIA over US Black Panther Voter Intimidation

In Philadelphia on Election Day 2008 two members of the radical New Black Panther Party were filmed intimidating voters outside a polling station. Subsequently the US Justice Dept began investigating the case.

Conservatives were unhappy when last year US Attorney General Eric Holder, the Democratic hack who heads the Justice Dept downgraded the case for what Holder’s officials claimed was lack of evidence. But recently a former Justice Dept official claimed Holder and his senior staff had an alternative agenda.

he believed the case had been narrowed because some of his colleagues in the civil rights division were interested in protecting only minorities. “There is no doubt that some people were hostile to this case,” Adams said in a phone interview.

The US media were all over this story….well, some were – others ignored it. The Washington Post claimed it was missed due to staff overload. A CBS ”journalist” who interviewed Holder on his show did not ask about it because he had been on holiday when it all blew up.

…mmmmmm….

…and the BBC, of course, was MIA over this. As far as the Beeb was concerned this was no story at all. However they did have time to bring up the NAACPs accusation that the Tea Partiers were RACIST!!!!!!!!

No double standard in play, of course – nothing to see here, keep moving……
It’s what we do…..

I saw Bill O’Reilly talking about this last night. Surprise, surprise it’s the same as it is with the BBC here.

If the story isn’t in the New York Times or Washington Post the US MSM (and the BBC) just don’t want to know. Sound familiar? Yep as we know if it’s not in the Guardian or Independent the BBC don’t want to know.

As O’Reilly pointed out, in the US broadcasters like CNN, ABC and MSN are no longer relevant and are losing the confidence of the American people, sound familiar? Yep, if you only got your news from the BBC you’d never know the truth about what is going on in the world.

Difference is of course no matter how crap the BBC is we’re still writing it a cheque for nearly 4 billion pounds every year.

Talking of BLACK — as in Conrad Black, the conservative media mogul who was possibly the subject of prosecutorial misconduct thet led him to being gaoled in the US on pretty much trumped up charges…

He’s been released on bail pending his appeal, but did you know that he’s ARROGANT and GREEDY.

Yes that’s right. Jane O’Brien in a STRAIGHT NEWS PIECE on BBC News 24 intoned that Conrad Black was both arrogant and greedy.

This is a  FACT apparently!  He was charged with being arrogant and greedy and found guilty in a US court.

Of course, a naive doofus might think this sounds like someone’s opinion in an editorial!  Silly you.

If the BBC News says you are arrogant and greedy, then that’s good enough for me.

Relating to this story are two massive exposes breaking right now in America today….

They EXPLAIN precisely how the Mainstream Media in the US buries anything which makes Obama look bad.

These are from two well-funded US conservative websites which sort of do the job B-BBC attempts here — only on a MASSIVE scale we cannot yet match.

Want to bet that this is EXACTLY what goes on at the BBC/Guardian Media/Leftademia Complex all the time as they try to shape news to their agenda?

But the Reporters at Pravda Weren’t Such Insufferable Assholes

    by Andrew Breitbart
Journalists love whistleblowers. Just not when the whistle is blown on them.

Journalists love transparency. As long as they’re not the ones being exposed.

No steadfast journalism rule is unbendable when it comes to justifying and protecting the racket that is modern journalism, specifically, political journalism in the United States today. The ends justify the means for the Democrat Media Complex. They lie when they claim to be objective. They lie when they claim to be unbiased, because these so called “truth seekers” are guilty of engaging in open political warfare. And when the whistle is blown, they simply double down. “Journolist” — like Media Matters, but more insidious, if that’s possible — is an attempt to put the genie back in the bottle, technology and “the masses” uncovered the conspiracy: READ MORE:

Documents show media plotting to kill stories about Rev. Jeremiah Wright
    By Jonathan Strong – The Daily Caller | Published: 1:15 AM 07/20/2010 | Updated: 2:51 AM 07/20/201

It was the moment of greatest peril for then-Sen. Barack Obama’s political career. In the heat of the presidential campaign, videos surfaced of Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, angrily denouncing whites, the U.S. government and America itself. Obama had once bragged of his closeness to Wright. Now the black nationalist preacher’s rhetoric was threatening to torpedo Obama’s campaign.

  9. David Preiser (USA) says:

Now that the WaPo ombudsman has publicly scolded the paper for hiding the story, the BBC might feel like it’s newsworthy.  I’m sure everyone noticed that the BBC was first past the post in reporting the recent WaPo investigation into how US intelligence services are a big bureaucratic rat’s nest.  Nobody over here cares too much about it (unwieldy bureaucracy in government?  yawn…), but the BBC had it up before the printed edition hit Mark Mardell’s suburban Virginia doorstep.

The BBC doesn’t do original reporting on the US, and slavishly follows the WashingtonPost, HuffingtonPost, and The Nation for their lead on covering important US issues.  It’s been documented here many times before, and will be again.

I wonder if the BBC will play THIS little tidbit from the same NCAAP event last week…

While making scurrilous lies about the Taxed Enough Already movement…

This lady of colour was regaling the NCAAP about the time she denied Federal help to a farmer because, yes, BECAUSE he was white, a person of pallor.

    Praise the lord…

I don’t see what the BBC’s objection is to posters comparing the US president to Hitler anyway. After all, <a href=”http://britainandamerica.typepad.com/britain_and_america/2007
/03/bush_as_hitler.html“>according to</a> ex-BBC journalist Robin Aitken, author of “Can we trust the BBC?” one of the main newsrooms of the BBC had a picture on the wall comparing President Bush to Hitler, and nobody at the BBC objected:
<blockquote>“I mean in our office there’s a picture of Bush as Hitler.  I don’t know where they got it, but yes, Bush as Hitler.  It’s quite a serious thing comparing Bush to Hitler! So did anyone in the newsroom in question object?  No.  Nobody did.”</blockquote>

David Preiser (USA) may confirm, but from reading (perhaps a bit more broadly than the average BBC hack) around, I’d gathered Oliver Stone’s latest biopic was a) not that great and b) ot doing too well.

And i read that several days ago.

Which may put in to context these tweets hot of the presses chez Aunty just now, doubtless with full objectivity, balance and context inc.:

BBCBreakfast Oliver Stone is no stranger to controversy, but now he’s made a documentary about Hugo Chavez: http://bit.ly/9NddU2

Well, the Venezuelans sure didn’t like it.  Too much kissing up and false flattery for their tastes, apparently.  Naturally, most of Hollywood and the Leftoid media love it any time Stone speaks that particular version of truth to power.  I’m sure it’s also doing well in theaters on college campuses and poseur-arthouses across the country.

Perhaps Panorama could get one of their super-dooper, hard-hitting, undercover investigative reporters to infiltrate the New Black Panther Party, and do a full-length 60-minute `expose’ report, which could then be picked up and recycled ad nauseam by all the other strands of the BBC ?

Or maybe not, as that wouldn’t fit the BBC’s agenda and the way it wants to present and `interpret’ world news to us all, would it ?

THE BBC AND TYPICALLY HALF THE STORY (OR LESS EVEN THAN THAT IF IT DOESN’T FIT WITH THEIR WORLD VIEW – WHOEVER THE F^&K NEEDS IT)
