THE LAW THAT SHOULD BE ABOLISHED

I thought that Emma Boon from the Taxpayers Alliaance was given quite a tough time on Today this morning as the BBC covered the Coalition suggestion that the public can decide which useless laws should be scrapped. Give it a listen. However it struck me that there is one piece of legislation that does need to be repealed without further ado – and THAT is the one forcing us to fund the BBC. Please Mr Cameron and Mr Clegg – can we just axe that right now?

I love it when the TPA make an appearance on the Beeb. They seem to have always prepared well for the interview know they are aren’t going to get an easy ride but always get their points across well. Of course the Beeb true to form always try to pick a fight (as Evan did here about taking away his right to buy an ID card) but rarely come away from it well.

It would be interesting to have someone from the TPA on question time but I doubt it will happen.

It will be a happy day if the BBC is forced to find its own funding.

They should abolish the provision which makes journalism exempt from the Freedom of Information Act.

How about exempting just Public Funded journalism from the act? That might be a nice carrot and stick – you can have the funding, but you have to be 100% accountable, or you can have no funding and basically operate as now.

    Oooh dear!

The EU federal state has been cramming our statute book with hundreds of laws for years, they constitute the overwhelming majority of the new laws of the past decade and these laws cannot be scrapped or modified or altered in any way.
Most of the new laws are designed to assimilate the UK into a federal state and under no circumstances will the EU allow member states to throw off the federal yoke as it is being reinforced and strengthened day by day.
Its all flimflam from a government eager to welcome the federal takeover of the UK, at the end of the day there will be more new laws from the EU and the laws they get rid of will be those that contradict or intefere with the new tranche of laws coming onto the UK statute book. There are two statute books, one EU and one UK and the intention is to submerge one beneath the other by stealth.
See how it works now? Its very clever of the coalition to disguise its intentions in this way isnt it?
They cover their real intentions of scrapping whats left of our independence by telling us that they will roll back the state while the only laws that will be scrapped are those that conflict with the new federal state statute book that is fighting for supremacy over the old national one.
