EVERYONE LOVES LEMBIT?

When he was an MP, the ludicrous Lembit Opik was a regular on the BBC. They seemed to lap up his “Cheeky antics”. Now that the electorate removed Lembit from his political platform, he has turned to comedy and predictable the BBC provide coverage of his first stand up gig? In what way is this deserving of a valued news slot?

In fact David, it was such an important item on the Today programme this morning that they rejigged their schedules (moving the Sports Bulletin) so that other Left-Wing guests could contribute to the item.

It was never deserving of such a slot.

There is always a place reserved for the friends of the BBC, a place will always be made availible IF you hold the ‘correct views’ and have the ‘right’ connections.
What do you think the billions of pounds of public money/enforced taxation is for if not to spend on looking after their own people?

If you are a leftist/socialist/progressive/eco zealot/islamist lover then hey come on down and collect your reward.

Indeed as Cassandra said poor Lembit is one of their own. Have no doubt they will find plenty of work for him during the life of this government as long as he dishes the dirt on the “nasty” part of the Lib Dems that did a deal with the Tories.

What I have yet to see on the Beeb is any analysis of why Lembit lost his seat in one of the biggest upsets of election night. Although I suspect that in their hearts the Beeb know why but just don’t want to think about it.

I don’t think the BBC do their cause any service by featuring the former MP for Monmouth. He just comes across as a twit, so the more exposure he gets, the more he looks like a twit. No idea how he was elected in the first place, nor how he got himself so much coverage with the BBC.

The BBC just love left-wing “comedians” even when they are not funny.

That he is Lib-dem tells you all, I live in an area dominated by them.  Not a large town but the councillors pocketed nearly £1 million last year and they waste money left, right and centre, drunken sailors ain’t in it.  A lot goes on ego trips to get publicity, of course if we had a proper free press they might have to be a bit more careful, but they have their own newsletter, OK lies letter would be more like it, and the local press fawn on them.  Pity “call me dave” didn’t look at their record before kowtowing to the b’stards.

The BBC, a last refuge of has-beens and nobodies still clinging desperately to the fact that they were once, albeit briefly, somebodies:

Brigstocke, Opik, Skinner, Livingstone… I’m tempted to include Chris Evans, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I loved his earlier stuff with with TFI, Big Breakfast, DFYT etc and I even think he is a great DJ.  But I find him unlistenable for periods longer than a few minutes, and who plays music so 80s-oriented I can’t stand it!

At such a delicate time in the morning you need an expert, but I find Evans tries too hard, laughs at his own jokes too much, and is a poor sub for the Greatest Breakfast DJ of Them All.

The Beeboids love Opik in the way that people used to love their village idiot.  He’s on because he amuses them, and lets them poke fun at him so they can feel superior.  Opik was even on Have I Got News For You immediately after the election, they like him so much.

I assume he’s just using his old campaign speeches as material for his comedy now, especially the bits about how we’re all going to get smashed by a meteor.

Limpdick Opec reminds me of another useless tosser who got thrown out by the voters. Ken ‘Joow hater’ Livingturd. He also spent weeks hanging around the BBC after Boris spanked him well and good. The BBC of course only too happy to have this twat on any show they could.

Here’s a tip to Opec, piss off and GET A REAL JOB YOU LOSER.

The BBC have form here. Their trusties and useful idiots always get a berth at public expense so they can wave their bloomers in public for the delectation of the linen suits upstairs.
Opik is only Prescott with specs and less blubber…and the fact that a Prescott gets to “act” or appear on quiz shows shows just how bankrupt the political class and their backers in the media are now. With Cherie Blair and Campbell,Blunkett getting their “Books of the Week”; they are utterly shameless and craven.
Do the BBC condone secretaries getting bonked by their bosses now?.where is Jenni Murray when we actually DO want an opinion from her ? Do Opik and Prescott actually HAVE Equity cards then?…more BBC more! More information please
