THE TODAY FLOTILLA

Day three of the Today Flotilla. Our chums at the BBC have a really interesting home page. The side bar with “other top stories” leads with “Israel’s actions “against International law” and then there is “Is Israel’s blockade legal?”. I wonder what the next story will be “Do Jews “eat their own babies.” The consistent bias shown by the BBC over these past three days validates everything that we say here at B-BBC. I know that elsewhere around the world other liberal media outlets are also engaging in this appalling treatment of Israel but the big difference for me lies in the fact that the BBC pretends to be neutral when it patently isn’t and the BBC demands we fund  which we patently should should not.

Now BBC TV News channel has GERRY ADAMS, of IRA/ Sinn Fein repute, that great man of peace(!), and wondertful international statesman(!), pontificating, and (dutifully totally uninterrupted by BBC) about the crimes of Israel! And, of course supporting the terrorist Islamic jihadists of Hamas.

Image of Israeli soldier abseiling onto ship. Caption reads Israeli troops fired live rounds after landing on the ship. Actually what happened was that soldier was brutally attacked and beaten with metal bars!

    The article includes the following:

Activist Hasan Nowarah, from Glasgow, has already been returned to the UK.

    […]

Mr Nowarah, originally from Ramallah, said he was the first to be sent home because he had injured his leg during the raid.

He runs the Glasgow-based group Justice for Palestine and was in one of the smaller ships in the convoy.

“The minute they landed into our vessels they were shooting and killing innocent people,” he told the BBC.

The only deaths occurred on the Mavi Marmara. Nobody was shot or killed on the vessel he was on!

“We looked at the Marmara ship, we can see the Israeli helicopters dropping soldiers on the top and screaming and shouting and bullets fired all over the place.

“Within seconds our ship, we were in it, we can hear ‘tick tick tick tick tick’ around the body of the ship but it’s not real bullets.

“It turned out to be the gaming paint balling, paint balling guns they shooting at us. But we all went up running just basically in a peaceful manner to blockade them from entering the ship.”

So nobody shot at him after all!

Turkey is obviously trying to raise the temperature.   I am hoping that exposure of their ranting politicians on TV and radio will persuade more people that Turkey is a threat rather than an ally to Western values,  increasing the opposition to Turkish membership of the EU.

And increasing the opposition generally to further Muslim mass immigration immigration – why should we want to import trouble ?

It is not Turkey. The country is divided between those who cling strongly and passioante to the secular values of the country’s fonder Ataturk and those who are trying to radicalise the population.

Saudi money is pouring in for a bizarre mosque on every corner building programme. The army is trying to hold the line for secularism but is runing danerously close to a military coup.

The tragedy is that secular politics of the right and left have dropped the ball and an initially moderate Iislamic party has shown competence in managing the country and opened the door to radical elements. This has been very effective in poorer  and rural regions.

As is often the case, we should be making more of an effort to support the sane Muslims and understand that they have their own struggle agaisnt the nutjobs.

The flotilla was carefully concived to promote radicalisation amongst secular Turks.

Please be careful in demonising Turkey and playing into the hands of the Jihadists.

Quite why we do not get this sort of background from the Beeboids is beyond me. (Actually, no it isn’t!)

Turkey is lost to the civilised world, it is now in the ever tightening grip of islamofascim.
Little reported at the time was Erdagans wresting of military control away from the secular gaurdian council and into his islamist hands, also the arrest on plainly trumped up charges of critics within the military. It seems that the media ignores the big red warning signs placed clearly in sight to show the way to disaster prefering instead a diet of mindless trash.
All the clues are in view IF ONLY we chose to see them and yet blindness to simple facts portrays the modern world we live in, we enter the most dangerous of times without the basic intel that is freely available..

        • John Anderson says:

But the “basic intel” is not made available by the BBC.

The BBC takes the UN line that all nations are equal – including of equal merit.   Just like Obama.  Britain should lose its sovereignty within a larger Europe,  Britain should destroy much of its economy for the greater good of CO2 reductions,  Britain should disarm, Britain needs to negotiate with Argentina over the Falklands,  Gibraltar belongs to Spain, Britain should leave the monitoring of weapons to clowns from the Middle East, etc etc

Thus Britain or the US – let alone Israel – are classed on a par with regimes like Syria, Libya, Cuba – and the increasingly Islamist-looking Turkey.   The BBC’s audience is not told of the fundamental changes that have been happening in Turkey.

I lived in istanbul when Erdogan first became mayor. There is no question he has always been a radical Islamist.
One of my favourite watering holes was the bar at Malta Kosk, with wonderful views of the Bosporos.  One day I went there and alcohol had been banned and women not allowed into the park without headscarves. The writing was on the wall even then.

        NRG,
That is a very accurate analysis of the situation in Turkey. The best we can hope for is a military coup. It has always saved Turkey in the past but may be too late this time.

`But “glory” doesn’t mean “a nice knock-down argument”,’ Alice objected.
`When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, `it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’
`The question is,’ said Alice, `whether you can make words mean so many different things.’

The Beeb in full squauk mode and an absolute delight to hear them twisting in their own wind.
I find “The World at One” to give me the full rationale behind the BBC…and all I do is go 180degrees from their opinion before setting my own compass.
As I type they are asking Blair what it all means…”no further questions your honour”.

Blair getting the reverential treatment… the Beeb are either at your feet or at your throat…no other settings!

Couple of examples…they asked a sister of one of the arrested activists yesterday how they felt…the woman was more than fair and equivocal but Kearney(harpie who does the mediating for Beeblands world view!) saw it as a lack of information from those pesky Israelis-even though her news bulletin said that many had not given their real names as yet so details were patchy.

No doubt when the activists are deported we shall hear of their “enforced removal ” in contravention of their human rights. Israel cannot or will never win in the eyes of the Beeb-but luckily we know that they shall in reality!

It looks like a lot of them were looking to be dead :

    http://www.memri.org/report/en/0/0/0/0/0/0/4265.htm

Of course the BBC won’t let its innocent audience hear of all this – the last thing the BBC wants is for us to make a direct link between those Islamists and the raging Taliban who are blowing up British servicemen,  or the various jihadists in the UK who have achieved or planned for widespread murder.

But they are all from the same mould.

    BBC’s new Orwellian dictionary:

    “Islamic jihadists” are BBC’s “militants”;

    “Israel’s enemies” are BBC’s “activists”:-

Another round of Israel-bashing is being planned at BBC ‘Newsnight’ for tonight. (Nothing about Lahore jihad planned.)

BBC’s “activist” Sarah McDermott, from ‘Newsnight’ blog:

“Israel has deported more than 120 foreign activists detained after a deadly raid on an aid flotilla trying to break its blockade of Gaza. The activists were taken to Jordan.
“Another 300 people, most of them Turkish, are due to be deported soon. ”

If and when Israel is attacked by these peace loving countries with all the weapons available can we expect gleeful accounts of Israeli casualties and the destruction of their land? This is where this attitude leads. I really think it has come to this.

If you control the media you control what people see and hear, take away little bits of truth and add little bits of lies and hey presto a false reality.

The BBC tells us what it wants to tell us, the BBC only lets us see what it wants us to see and bit by bit their reality and actual reality has diverged untill now we are shown lies and falsehoods as the truth.

Beeboid in Turkey just now refuting the Beeboid in the studio who said that there’s evidence that the “peace activists” prepared for violence.  He said that the “peace activists” claim that they did not prepare for violence, and that Israel’s proof is “propaganda”.  He said that Israel has released only “edited footage”, and nobody believes them.

BBC now claiming that Israel is lying, the footage of slingshots and knives, and of “peace activists” beating Israeli soldiers with metal bars and clubs and axes and throwing a soldier off the deck is all a false representation of what happened.

The BBC can’t sink any lower at this point, save for stating outright that Israel is now a criminal state and must be punished.  Some of them are hinting already.  It’s a shame, because for a while there quite a few Beeboids made a real effort to be reasonably fair.  No longer, it seems.

The BBC toady show gave airtime to a peace(hate)activist who claimed that the sea was “glistening” with Israelli gunboats and they had..wait for it…ladders on board! is there no end to the wickedness of the Jooos and their diabolical laddders?
So to be “glistening” as claimed how many boats were there, millions of them?
So the BBC invites a wholly hostile witness to put a wholly partisan series of emotive claims without any checks, typical BBC.
The peace(hate) activists would proclaim their bias wouldnt they? Even the undeniable evidence of pre planned violence and the actual evidence of violence does not matter to the BBC, the BBC knows everything they want know, Israel is to blame period, no context and mitigating factors are allowed.
BTW the BBC description of the IHH ‘charity’ as perfectly legal and above board, nothing to see there according to the BBC, its all we need to know isnt it? The organizers went looking for a confrontation but again we dont need to discover the history and modus operendi of the IHH do we?

No mention from the usually pro-Obama BBC about this from his Vice President:

Biden: Israel right to stop Gaza flotilla from breaking blockade

In an interview with Charlie Rose, Biden pointed out that Israel had given pro-Palestinian activists the option of unloading their cargo at the Ashdod port, and offered to bring it to the Gaza Strip on their behalf.

“They’ve said, ‘Here you go. You’re in the Mediterranean. This ship — if you divert slightly north you can unload it and we’ll get the stuff into Gaza,'”, he said. “So what’s the big deal here? What’s the big deal of insisting it go straight to Gaza? Well, it’s legitimate for Israel to say, ‘I don’t know what’s on that ship. These guys are dropping… 3,000 rockets on my people.
“Look, you can argue whether Israel should have dropped people onto that ship or not  — but the truth of the matter is, Israel has a right to know — they’re at war with Hamas — has a right to know whether or not arms are being smuggled in.”

During the interview, Biden also blamed Hamas for the crisis that has wracked the coastal territory and for the ongoing state of conflict with Israel.

“As we put pressure, and the world put pressure on Israel to let material go into Gaza to help those people who are suffering, the ordinary Palestinians there, what happened? Hamas would confiscate it, put it in a warehouse [and] sell it.

“So the problem is this would end tomorrow if Hamas agreed to form a government with the Palestinian Authority on the conditions the international community has set up,” Biden told Rose.

Why hasn’t the BBC reported this?
